I've eaten at Ocean China for years and the draw for me is the lunch buffet. It may be limited but the selection is always fresh and delicious. The Garlic Chicken is the best!!! For the price and quality, hands down one of the top five places in Bartlesville to get lunch.

I could eat their Mu Shi Chicken EVERY DAY. Seriously. The people there are so nice and the food is so great. You CAN'T miss their lunch specials, they're to die for! I love Chinese food, and a cheap buffet never cuts it for me. This place has real food, that's real good! Their vegetarian options are also good, most Chinese restaurants cook with beef even in vegetables, Ocean China doesn't. I recomend the clay pots, such as the Curried Tofu. SO tasty. I always get out cheap, and the service is great! This is one of the things I really miss about Bartlesville...

The duck, which was recommended to us, was quite nasty to compared to other Chinese restaurants. The other menu selections were fine. There was nothing wrong with them, but nothing special either. Szechuan is better.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in Bartlesville. It is small with limited parking but the wait staff & owners are friendly & prompt. They make you feel like you are dining with friends. The Szechuan chicken is my personal favorite. My kids like the beef & peppers & fried rice. They generally have more take-out orders for dinner than they have patrons dining in so dinner has no wait time.

Ok, I'm from southern California so we probably have some of the best asian food in the world...and this is Chinese food in Oklahoma. I wasn't expecting much, and it pretty much lived up to my expectations. The 'wonton' soup basically just had one dumpling in broth some. Quite boring. The sesame chicken wasn't really all that great either. Edible, yes...but I wouldn't order it again. Everything closes early in Bartlesville and this was the last place I found that was still open, I think shortly before 10pm. To be honest, I only had one meal I'd call "good" in Bartlesville, and this wasn't it. I'm giving it 3 stars only because it's in Bartlesville. Had this been in Los Angeles, it'd certainly be a 2 star.

We came home from a long drive on Friday...(from California)- we were pooped. The hub had dropped the kiddos off at his dad's earlier and when it was time to pick them up, we were hungry. He stopped by, placed and order, went to get the kids and when he got back to pick up the food (15 minutes) it was ready... and delicious.

I've been coming to Ocean China my whole life pretty much (seriously this place has been in Bartlesville my whole life) and it is still my favourite Chinese restaurant. The owner here really takes pride in her work and she is very friendly. The servers are always hardworking too. I have never had a problem with the service here. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. My favourite dishes here are Pan Fried Noodles, Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Lo Mein.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
