I couldn't imagine, on my many trips to and through atoka, not stopping at Luigi's! The pizza is great and they have cheesecake! But most importantly my waitress Rebecca was so sweet! I'd ask for her again next time I go for sure!

On our way to Texas from Oklahoma we decided to stop in Atoka and have some dinner. This place was rated highly on Yelp and I have always trusted Yelp for this reason. This was my first bad experience with Yelp. For an Italian place this was below mediocre at best. The food was bland including the sauce which tasted like it came from a can. The bread was not even Italian it was biscuits made from a can. You could tell by the very yeasty taste. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day with this place. I was dining with 7 other people who all felt the same as I did. The prices of this restaurant are great! I would say that was the only plus. The restroom was definitely not clean and needed an update to the current century. The atmosphere in this small run down restaurant was homey but somewhat uncomfortable. It's obvious this is a local place, as we prepared to enter the front door we were met with glaring stares of "you don't belong here." We even commented to the waitress about it and she just laughed our comment off as if it never happened. If you are desperate for food, I would say this is a good place to stop. Otherwise, head somewhere else.

This is decent place to stop on a desolate piece of Oklahoma highway. The service is decent; the food is tasty and hot; the prices are reasonable. We don't stop for the atmosphere, but we keep coming back.

I was surprised to find a decent place to sit down and eat in Atoka. The prices are great, the family who owns it is very nice, and the food was good. This place would give some small Italian places in Dallas a run for their money. I will be taking my family back when we are thru the area again.

A pretty good experience overall. In an historic area, it appears non-descript. The menu offered good options and they worked with my gluten-free wife. The meal was very good and the presentation was excellent. Service was also very good.

Wonderful food. Portions are more than enough. Pizza's are incredible. The small family owned Italian restaurant is off the beaten path of the main road a couple of blocks. But well worth the stop. Everything I've tried has been excellent.

For a small town restaurant, it is very good. At lunch for 5.95, you can get a hearty portion of entree, a side salad, and all you can eat bread and dipping oil. The owners are a very sweet couple, and I've always had a great dining experience each time I visited. I personally love the manicotti!

We love this place! Great food and sweet owners. We will in dallas and always stop here and eat when we are going this way. Just, wish they were open on Saturday

Good food seeing that this place is in the middle of no where. I had the baked ziti. Other people in my party had the pizza and lasagna and they liked it. However, this place does not compare to an Italian place you would find in a large city such as dallas.

These people make the most amazing pizza I have ever had! I have had pizza in NYC and all across the US and this has to be the best I have ever had!! Even the traditional pepperoni is amazing. A layer of cheese covered in pepperoni covered again with cheese with the best sauce ever made and incredible doug/crust. We sometimes drive all the way from Dallas to get this pizza. Too incredible to describe in words alone!

Quick and friendly service. Decent prices, including $4.95 lunch specials. Can't complain too much about the food, which includes all the usual fare. Good downtown location. It's one of the few convenient non-fast food joints around town, and I saw plenty of locals coming by to pick up take-out orders. Seemed like a great idea, considering that a fast food drive-thru might actually be a little harder on your wallet.

As travelers passing through the area, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised to find this neat little place. We both enjoyed a HUGE pasta dish with peppers and good sausage. In fact, our regret was that we didn't just split one dish together. It was HUGE, I tell you! This is a nice little reasonably priced local joint. Worth grabbing lunch on the way to the wilderness.

We were traveling & needed to eat. We checked our handy dandy YELP to help us find a restaurant in a SMALL town in what seemed to be in the middle of no where. Not to mention we were very unfamiliar with the area and it's local eateries. We decided to try Luigi's since it was rated pretty fair and not rated poorly. It isn't fancy or comparable to big city dining (which we didn't expect) but was good for a small town & extremely reasonable in price. I had the pizza which was good. Nothing fancy but makes your belly full and my wallet happy. It was a nice size (10") for $5.95. It didn't have the best crust but still good. At $5.95, I could overlook the pizza crust when traveling hungry and on a budget with very little options nearby! So, if you find yourself in this small town and need to eat, you are safe eating here. If I find myself traveling through here again and need to eat, I would stop again. There was snow outside and outside temperatures were very low. The temp was fine in the dining area. However, the temperature in the bathrooms which were located WAY in the back were very COLD!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
