Outstanding ice cream. The black cherry is simply heaven. You are seriously left wondering how could it be that goid

Small ice cream joint on a gravel lot on Chardon Rd. It was a spontaneous stop for a treat on the way home from biking the metroparks. Wasn't expecting much, but BOY! Was I pleasantly surprised! Their ice cream is actually very good! I've seen other reviews mentioning this place being a bit pricey. Their small starts at $3.35, so I suppose it is. BUT... it's a BIG small! They're pretty generous with their scoops. They also offer a not-so-small kiddie cone for the little ones for, I think, $1.70. Great ice cream! My only minor beef is I asked them for 2 flavored with my small and was told I was only allowed one :( No biggie. Will come back again when in the area.

Very good ice cream and the local ownership is a bonus! The location can be a little challenging to find if you are unfamiliar with the area. Very close to my work, so I will be back.

Great ice cream and very friendly staff! Try the chocolate peanut butter, it's amazing. I get the chocolate soft serve parfait with hot fudge and peanut butter sauce.

Very fun small family ice cream parlor. Packed with lots of flavors! They are pricey but you have to be when your not a chain place. Very friendly prople. They have seating outside to the side and in the back.

Best banana ice cream. Also have a bunch of homemade ice cream treats like chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches and chocolate covered bananas.

I live not far from Foster's, I love the small town feel. The staff is super-friendly and the ice cream is outstanding. My favorites are the peach and french vanilla.

I've been going to Foster's for as long as I can remember. As a kid, my mother would take me there every time we went to the garden center down the street. And nearly 15 years later, it still looks and smells the same - like an old fashioned ice cream parlor with fresh ice cream being made in the back. I'm typically a traditional ice cream fan, but I think Foster's has the best soft serve vanilla ice cream I've ever tasted. It's light and almost whipped cream tasting. Another one of my favorite things is the Scott bar - a chocolate covered ice cream bar on a stick with peanuts and fudge at the bottom. Support this local ice cream parlor if you have a change. It's much better than the nearby chains.

First off I have to mention that I live off of Chardon, one of my favorite bars is The Wright Place, and that I've driven by Foster's probably 80+ times, always saying to myself that this has great potential to being an Ice Cream Shop GEM. Finally, FINALLY!, it was 75 degrees after the rainiest month on record in Cleveland and I thought that it was my fatherly duty to take my lovely wife and beautiful 7 week old out for some ice cream. Obviously the wife and I were the only ones to enjoy a scoop or two, the kid just watched in utter jealously. I decided to get a single scoop in a cup of Chocolate Peanut Butter and the wife went with the Black Cherry in a waffle cone. Both were delightful. Foster's is the idealistic small town stand that packs in the locals only to be served by high school kids trying to make a dime in the summertime. The ice cream itself is hard packed as described in previous reviews and has the consistency and flavor second to none. Its not as rich as say Mitchell's, nor is it as 'fancy', but I'll take a cone out on an old picnic table over a double scoop in some shop stuck between Sushi Rock and Potterybarn Kids any day. DISCLAIMER: I do like Mitchell's Ice Cream, just doesn't give me the memory jarring experience that a place like Foster's does. I'm just a small town kind of guy!

Celestial trumpets, angel trombones, hard packed ice cream of many varieties.... heaven! Foster's is a rare find. Located in a quaint, charming, cute-as-a-button building off Chardon Road in Willoughby, this is everything a proper ice cream parlor should be and more. Hard packed, soft serve, sorbet, malts, sundays, sodas, banana splits and more. They even have the Midwestern cult classic, Blue Moon Ice Cream! The staff here is über friendly and rather cute. The last time I was here, there were college aged girls scooping with a smile. They also have plenty of picnic benches outside to enjoy your frozen treats. If you live in the area, this smallish, non-franchise, hometown ice cream parlor shouldn't be missed.

Great little ice cream shop. Small town feel. Great place to sit and eat ice cream. Good to have in the neighborhood.
