Temporarily relocating to the CVS strip mall a little north on Sunbury while a new restaurant is built. When we moved to Ohio in 2008, this was one of the first places we ate and we LOVE it. We were treated like family right away and the servers always remember us even when it had been over a year since our last visit. Our service has always been great, though sometimes slow. Our opinion is that the pizza is over priced. However, I haven't been able to find anything like their white pizza anywhere else so I pay it happily. My second favorite is the lasagna. The house salad dressing is my husbands favorite and he loves the toasted ravioli. We have tried lots of other items and we have never been disappointed. Give this place a try when they are rebuilt and back in business!

Made a quick stop for dinner/carry out and the guy ahead of me who had dined in couldn't find his waitress and needed to settle up his bill and he was at the carry out counter. When they found her, he looked at his bill and had questions about it and again, his waitress had quickly disappeared which makes sense as it was a busy night. When he made an attempt to ask the guy behind the counter questions about charges on his bill, the response was, "you'll have to take that up with your waitress as I have no idea." Wow. The guy couldn't find her in the first place which is why he approached the register for help and this was the best answer you could provide?? Where is the partnership in taking the questions and hunting down the waitress to help the guy out? He made his way up to the counter for a reason. Also, there wasn't any line behind this guy other than myself so it's not as if he was pressured with a crowd in front of him. Looking at the oven with pizzas sliding out there wasn't any ready to be cut. Personal order was fine and food was good. Cost was more than fair and when you ask for sauce on the side you get a ton for 0.75. Where I take a pause is the poor experience for he gentleman in front of me. Will be back as the food is good and life happens though I do believe a more customer friendly response to his questions would have been in order.

This place was adorable. Small mom & pop feeling with friendly service. There werent may people there when we arrived (we were early for dinner) but by the time we left, it was almost full! They make their own dressing and sell it by the bottle as well. I wish we lived a bit closer, we'd most likely be there much more!

I can't believe this place is still around, but after eating there I can see why. The food was great and the service was wonderful. This is a great local business that I can't wait to go back to. I had the ravioli and my mother had the white spaghetti. Along with some killer garlic cheese bread and a small dinner salad, my mother and I left stuffed full. Next time I think I will try the pizza as some friends and coworkers said they make a great one.

4 stars for quality of pizza! I ordered take out..I like my pizza pretty boring. Half cheese, half pepperoni. Ordered a medium. Medium size was pefect for me and even had extra for lunch on Monday! I love the crust. It sure beats the big places like Domino's, donatos, papa John or pizza hut. I also ordered an Italian salad with their homemade italian dressing. And wow, Italian dressing was amazing! Total cost was $15.95 for both. Excellent price for quality and taste. Very friendly staff and it's always clean in there!

She raved about the marinara. I found it good. Not sweet. Not extraordinary. I prefer mine a bit more Diablo. The meatballs were a good size. Not baseballs, not marbles. Plenty of meat, without seeing or tasting a lot of filler. This was on the open face smothered dish. Pizza was great. Thin and crispy, just the way we like it. It wasn't brittle like a cracker. Just thick enough to give a slight chew. Cheese had great stretchability. No snap back, like fake rubbery imitation cheese. The pepperoni had great seasoning. Service was quite a bit off. I think the server was preoccupied with getting his work done for closing. That cost an entire star. We will return!

Nice location, but if you blink You'll miss it. Very casual family atmosphere. Food is good, usually order pizza and cheesy garlic bread. Great place to take family. Not up to par for entertaining guests, unless they are close friends.

Went by tonight and they are closed. It looks like the place is being torn down. Have they moved? Or are they gone for good?

It's been a while since I was last at Minico's and I'm not sure why because the food and the service was as good as I remembered. I was there on a Friday night as part of a large group (32) which is usually challenging for any restaurant. Despite the size of our group - the service was still excellent. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken parm which comes with a side of spaghetti and a house salad. The house salad is a very large salad and was very good - the chicken parm and spaghetti was both excellent. Others in our group tried a variety of entrees including the lasagna, the veal parm, the spaghetti with sausage and peppers, the strmboli and, of course, the pizza. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and all reports were good. I did not hear any negatives regarding the food or the service. This is a great casual, family oriented restaurant that I would highly recommend. The prices are very reasonable. I'm not sure how long Minico's has been here but I've been in Westerville for 18 years and it's been here as long as I can remember.

I love eating at non-chain locations. So tonight my wife and I decided to try Minico's Italian Restaurant for a peperoni pizza. I know we tried Minico's years ago but I didn't remember whether I liked it or not. First appearances showing up on a busy Friday night, everyone was courteous, friendly and smiling. The place was clean. Thumbs up for that. I saw them cutting my pizza when I arrived so they were accurate in the pick-up time they described. As far as pizza is concerned, in my opinion it's difficult to find an awful pizza. It's even more difficult to find an amazing pizza, where the combination of crust, sauce, cheese and peperoni merge to create that one great taste. And Minico's comes so close. The cheese is outstanding. The peperoni is good and makes a nice complement with the taste of the cheese. The crust was solid, with a good texture. But the sauce... Minico's... what's up with the bland, nearly tasteless sauce. Walking through the restaurant to the pick-up counter, looking at all of the Italian food being served, I was not prepared for the virtually tasteless sauce. I even tried scraping some off of the pizza onto my finger to taste it directly. Just plain bland, so little tomato flavor. Create a robust, flavorful sauce and you would be near the top of the pizza food chain. After eating it tonight, I now remember why I forgot about your pizza years ago. It's close to being great, but in the end it's just another good pizza.

Went to Minico's last night...we love the food there so we were really looking forward to it. We were outright ignored by the wait staff. I would try and call someone over, wave my hands...anything! They sat tables around us and those tables were immediately served. It was so frustrating to see that happen. Expecially since half of the workers there were sitting at other tables playing on their phones. The food at Minico's is pretty good...but don't go if you're very hungry-you may have to really work for your meal!

Minicos has great food. The pizza is pretty good but the fettuccini Alfredo is to die for. I've also had the mozzarella sticks and Stromboli. Both are also good. I came here with a large group and everything ran very smooth. I'll definitely be coming back.

It takes a lot for me to write a negative review about a business. I called tonight to order for delivery. The gentleman on the phone quickly let me know they were closing soon and were not taking delivery calls. I completely understand this statement , however they post their hours as open until 10:00pm. I called at exactly 9:30! Even then I was okay with not getting a delivery. I live close and I then changed to a pick up order. I wanted a ravioli and garlic bread and a small pizza. I again, got a horrible response, "because it is so close to closing we are only taking pick up pizza orders" its only 9:30 on a Wednesday night in mid may. This is pretty early to lock your doors down. It is barely dark outside, and if you are that slow then i'm sure my business would help your books. I live a mile away and I have never been to this establishment. they might have good food, but I guess I will never know. Bad service!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
