I'm from Massachusetts and I've been coming to Newark Ohio on business for over a decade. Not one visit to this area has passed without at least one trip to Plaza Pizza! I have dreams about this cracker crunchy crust wonder! You must get a large so it's cut into the unique Plaza Pizza strip slices! This way tastes the best! The only topping I order is their signature combo called "All The Way" which is the only way to go. It has pepperoni, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and ... Wait for it... Green olives and banana peppers!!! This totally sends this pizza to a whole new level for me! (Even though I've just had their simple pepperoni pizza and that was amazing too!) if your not in the mood for pizza, you can always order up a "torpedo" which is a very skinny and long cold cut sub. Totally worth ordering and consuming!!! This is a must try restaurant. If you live in this area and have not had Plaza Pizza SHAME ON YOU! Plaza surely is the gem of Newark Ohio!

This pizza is raved about and I don't get it!? They have minimal toppings, all of which look canned aside from the meat, which is just as cheap as the rest of it. The crust here is thin and the taste of it is exactly like a saltine cracker. We have had better pizza out of the frozen section at the grocery store. Just skip this place and go to Donatos if you like thin crust. Also, they do not accept debit cards, they are closed on Wednesday, they have a tiny parking lot, and they have a bad connection on their phone line, which results in wrong orders. The woman at the register suggested that I pick off the toppings with a fork and made a shoveling gesture with her hands...

I have lived on both coasts and eaten pizza all over this country. This is the real deal. We went there this past fall on a day that was hotter than h*ll. There is NO air conditioning in this joint. Be forewarned. You are essentially sitting in the kitchen as it is a one room shack. The dining room and ovens are within a few feet of each other. I would surmise a great place to go in the winter. That said, as we sweated down our pizza, it was pure delight. The owners have a picture on the wall of when they started this place half a century ago and both were still working when we went. How cool is that? More than made up for the lack of air conditioning. Pizza is subjective. It's like art. Each one has its own unique flavors, textures and experiences. This is as good as it gets. Is it the best pizza I have ever had? It's right up there. There is no one best pizza. Just like art. I drove 70 miles round trip to pick up a friend and then head to Newark. It was worth every minute. I'll be back.

The best pizza around. I've been getting there pizza for years. Great every time. The owner bakes all of the pies. I drive by several other pizza shops on my way to get my pie. You know it's good when they've been open for 40+ years and don't deliver, cash only, and have 2 tables. Keep up the good work.

This is like the old Granvilla Pizza. Thank you Plaza Pizza for not messing up a great recipe. We have to have it when our children come to visit.

We were baby sitting a Granddaughter in Newark Saturday night after a birthday, and asked about good pizza in the area. We were overwhelmed with "Plaza pizza!". So later in the evening we ordered it. No delivery, so you have to pick up. Our wait time was an hour which I found suspect , so I got there early. Wow....what an operation! The place has a small eat in area that was full, and they were pushing out pizzas every 30 seconds! Many order had multiple pizzas. I finally got ours, and took it back to the house, just a few minutes away. This pie is phenomenal! The thin crust was flaky like...almost like a cracker. The sauce was a perfect blend, with hints of oregano and garlic. Cheese was true mozzarella, and the sausage was to die for! I see now why all "Newarkins" say this unique pizza is the best. Oh, and one last note...cash or check only...no credit cards accepted here. We plan on going back when ever we can!

The best thin crust pizza out there! We used to get this all the time when I was a kid. My dad would get it all the way and put ketchup on it... yea, I don't know what that's about either. They're fast and friendly and don't you dare ask for anything other than Mike's original cracker-like thin crust! Let's hope Plaza hangs on despite all the changes around it...

Plaza pizza is my favorite pizza. Nothing compares. It's thin and crispy with perfectly proportionate toppings and sauce. There's not really much to say since it's pizza. It's not cardboard crust like another popular local pizza place just down the road. If you like thin crust then you will not be disappointed!

Best thin pizza around. Been coming here for 30 years and it gets better and better with time. The owners are amazing. They know most of there regular customers by name and that makes the visits awesome. Great pizza hopefully for years to come,,,,,,

This is the best pizza in the world! The crust is thin and crispy. They put on just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The sauce is fantastic. I wish I could beam Plaza Pizza out west.
