Good size bar to eat and drink at. I had the red and golden beet salad with salmon, this was very good and fresh. They are mainly known for seafood, but they have other options.

We needed to drive from Chicago to the East Coast and pulled off 95 in Maumee ( never heard of it). Luckily we were directed by the front desk staff at the Marriott to Mancy's Bluewater Grill. What a terrific place. We were greeted warmly and directed to the bar area to wait while our table was being set. BWG is a lovely restaurant with well decorated indoor spaces, well spaced tables, a beautiful bar area and ample outdoor seating. Our drink order was taken immediately and then we were escorted to a lovely table. Warm rolls and butter arrived quickly as dis our friendly and professional server named Victoria. I knew we were in for a fine evening. Drinks were excellent as were the Caesar salads which accompanied our dinners. The salads were decorated with extra anchovies just like we ordered. I had the stuffed shrimp as my main course. This dish, while it sounds simple to prepare, is actually challenging for many restaurants, but not BWG. They were excellent, as were the mashed potatoes. My wife's strip steak with bernaise sauce was done perfectly. The baked potato was huge and delicious. Our main courses were excellent. Then came the key lime pie which was one of the best I've ever had. Let's say that Mancy's BWG is terrific for a fine dining experience in a lovely setting with fair prices.

I tend to be a pretty healthy eater. This wouldn't be my typical first choice, but this was a customer dinner. Overall I was very satisfied with everything. Service was great, our waitress was very polite, knowledgable and helpful. Apps: Beef Carpocio; amazing. Great fried capers added such a nice texture to the thinly sliced beef. Calamari; perfectly fried and great sauce drizzled over them. Buffalo Shrimp; nice size shrimp, spicy and a really cool addition were the pickled carrots on the bottom, very cool. Bread: really nice herby bread. Soup: I had the Manhattan clam. Great flavor, with a bit of a kick. Nice pieces of clam in the soup. Dinner: I got the scallops from the grill, sauce on the side. Subed the mash potatoes for steamed asparagus. Everything was cool very well. Having everything pretty plane actually really tasted great. I squeezed some lemon over my veggies & scallops, they tasted so good! And it was not too heavy, which is what I wanted, for having a late meal. For the salad I had the vinegar cole slaw. Really tasty, maybe a beet or something in it. Desert: I had the cheesecake. Lovely taste, texture was very dense and creamy.

Unbelievable service and food, as always, was excellent. Had a guest in from out of town (Houston) and it was his first experience at a Mancy's restaurant. Couldn't have asked for a better 'first' for him as he truly enjoyed the ambiance, the courteous wait staff and the food was magnificent!

As always, a great meal and experience. We have never had a bad meal here. It is one of the best restaurants in our area.

Nine adults and a baby were seated. My meal was a Delmonico steak preceded by a salad. The mixed green salad with blue cheese dressing was very good. The steak came with caramelized, crisped onion strings, and a very large baked potato. The steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked, very tender, and delicious. Our server was attentive and did an excellent job. My only disappointment is that we live too far away to go to Mancy's on a regular basis. If we were closer, we could easily make it our "go to" steak place.

Awesome seafood (lobster tails were the bomb.com ) and a nice ambiance. Service here was definitely the best I've had in Toledo ! Definitely will return when I'm back to the area.

I'm a big fan of the Mancy Family of restaurants and this one does not disappoint. I've eaten here numerous times with my family, and we always leave satisfied. The seafood is always cooked properly and is always amazing. I laugh when I hear people talk about eating at Red Lobster. SERIOUSLY!? This place exists in Maumee and you're eating Red Lobster?! Yeah, Mancy's isn't cheap, but neither is high quality food, a well trained & educated staff, or prime real estate! This place does it all well. Kudos Mancy's.

We went here for dinner on Valentine's Day and it was a prix fixe situation ($50 each for appetizer, salad and entree). I ordered the oysters on the half shell, Caesar salad with anchovies, and the ahi tuna steak cooked rare. Everything exceeded my expectations. Service was great, food came out in a timely manner and my fish was cooked perfectly. We had a great time here and will definitely be back!

My friend's maple bourbon pecan wood-grilled salmon and butternut squash ravioli was so memorable, I have to figure out how to make it at home. My wood-grilled New Bedford scallops had the texture and rich depth of the scallops I remember eating in full view of New Bedford scallop boats. As much a treat now as it was 3 years ago when I was last in Maumee.

What a wonderful surprise this place was. I'll be honest, I am not Mancy kind of girl. The restaurants are always busy, over-hyped and pretentious. Paying out the nose for tiny pieces of steak just isn't my thing. We had a 6:30 reservation for our 10th anniversary, and came with friends, one of whom was 8 months pregnant. It was busy and festive. Though we arrived on the dot. we still had to wait for a table, so we found seats at the bar and relaxed into a few drinks. I was surprised at how comfortable and lovely it was. I usually hate being tossed to the bar but it felt warm and the bartenders were nice. 40 minutes later, our table. That was a pretty long wait for someone who had a reservation. The bar was nice, but not 40 minutes on our special day nice. But I'll tell you, the second we sat down, the manager appeared with two huge plates of appetizers on the house to make up for it! It was such a wonderful surprise, and all the angst I was feeling just melted away. It's one thing to strive to accommodate after someone complains, but to just do it on your own without being asked or told? Awesome. Appetizers were great: the Peking calamari was perfect. The Ahi Tuna tartar was THE BEST, and the crab cake was okay. Also the maple Dijon salad dressing? Perfection and made in house. Dinner was also wonderful. I had the stuffed shrimp, and it was cooked wonderfully. The stuffing was the crab cake, which was just a touch too sweet for me, but hard to complain about. I was just so happy the shrimp was large enough to be a meal, because you only got 5. Overall, I'll be back. With a reservation. And a flexible sitter who doesn't mind having to stay late to accommodate.

This was not our first time here. We often come for anniversaries, birthdays, graduation or a special meal. I really wanted Steak and Lobster but at $54 decided it was just too expensive. I ordered the Bouillabaisse and hit the jackpot. It had a 1/2 lobster and claw along with huge Scallops, Shrimp, Clams, Mussels, Salmon and Fish of the day. It was great and at $32, a real bargain. We also ordered a Salmon with a glaze sauce that was very tasty. We split a Crabcake appetizer that was fantastic. Service was adequate although it was obvious she was new to the profession. She'll get better with time.

Upscale, and they do it well. Had oysters on the half shell calamari and blackened whitefish for entree. Service was good. Atmosphere was great, food was great. Expect to pay more and get more. Most entrees are $20 and up. Mixed drinks were good, beer selection decent. Good place to take a date to impress or a business client. Use discretion with kids; to respect others.

Went to BWG for the first time after reading the reviews and was IMPRESSED! The freshness of the fish, the service and the presentation of the plates was first class. Coming from the West Coast, I was even more impressed as the price fo the meal (which included drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 coffees and 2 desserts was was 1/2 of what I would have expected to pay in Los Angeles. I will definately be back to BWG and try the rest of the Mancy restaurants as well.

Mancy's Bluewater Grille is the consummate dining experience. The food is exceptional. The seafood entrees are creative and delicious. The sauces that accompany the different entrees take them to the next level. The service is extremely professional. The wait staff is attentive without being overly so. It reflects on their level of experience. I have never had a bad experience with Mancy's employees. We have never had an inexperienced or inattentive server. The ambiance at the Bluewater Grille is also quite an experience. The dining room is quiet and reserved. The bar seating area is progressive and modern. Both areas of the restaurant provide a level of comfort and an exceptional dining experience. My husband has remarked more than once how much he enjoys their choice of music playing overhead. It is usually music we listened to growing up, classic American rock. We have never been disappointed when dining at Mancy's. The food portions are extremely generous. The bread is also excellent. The dessert is delicious. In particular, the cheesecake is probably the best I have ever had. Mancy's Bluewater Grille is definitely worth the experience. It has become our favorite restaurant.

Rainbow Roll Sushi fresh but too much rice. The "rainbow" is the caviar of different colors on top. I'm still not sure if I liked that or if that's a sushi standard or Manci's specialty. I also ordered the Market Salad but I cannot say it was spectacular or anything like that. The restaurant and bar are beautiful, the service and servers fantastic, but I left thinking that the food does not live up to the initial impression I got walking and the high end prices.

The food was absolutely delicious as always, and the ambiance was wonderful! The service wasn't equally as awesome. It was obvious that the table next to us consisting of four older adults received much better service than we did. We overheard the waitress tell that table that she had trained with a famous sommelier as well as at other prestigious places. Obviously they forgot to train her on the basics of customer service...consistency and ensuring drinks are never empty for long periods of time. Oh well. Better luck next time. I should also mention that it appeared the rolls were leftovers from another table. They weren't warm and they were all broken apart.

Decent seafood, but really didn't blow my skirt up. I had a mixed seafood dish. Great quantity of food, but not especially well seasoned. Had the bread pudding for dessert, which was tasty, but again nothing all that special. For the price of the meal, I doubt I would go back

Best steak ever! It was juicy, cooked perfectly and taste divine! We really wanted to get a steak at Mancy's Steakhouse but they were closed on Sunday so we opted for Blue Water. The service was also great and we couldn't have asked for a better night of fine dinning! I gave them five stars even though I think their salads, although pretty, are pretty tasteless even with the great dressing and the baked potato tasted somewhat blah at the bottom of the potato. I like to eat the skin on the potato because of the great salt taste but didn't. I also didn't want my last bite to be the potato because my mouth was still watering because of the awesome steak! My hat's off to the grill master!!

Celebrated two birthday's and the experience was wonderful. Even got a surprise Bday discount. Both ladies loved their salmon dishes and I loved the stuffed shrimp. the crab cake appetizer was delightful. We'll be back.

Fantastic evening. Beautiful sophisticated decor with Chihuly like glass sculptures. Huge eat up serpentine bar (packed at 6 pm ). We loved every bite from oysters Rockerfeller, raw oysters and crab cakes to the walleye the chef grlilled for us as a special request. Will definitely will be back!

My husband and I went here for lunch on our anniversary. Our server was great, very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The food was also very good. Our appetizer was a bit small for the price, but it was tasty. Our cheesecake dessert was simply amazing! Will be back again.

  • Cliff G.

I ordered one of their "specialty" menu items -- walleye in a pretzel crust with a mustard cream sauce. The pretzel crust and the mustard cream sauce were fine, but the fish itself had absolutely no flavor. I'm not from the area so I'm not experienced with walleye, but for a dish that costs $28 or so (in Toledo), I expect the fish to have some flavor. Otherwise, service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and the bread was delicious.

We didn't think to make reservations since it was just my husband and I. Luckily the patio is open and the day was sunny and warm still after 6pm. The menu is compete for all different tastes, not just seafood. Our meals were delicious and service was very pleasant and attentive. The quality of the menus is worthy of the prices.

Met some out of town friends on a Saturday night. Place was extremely busy, but our table was ready at the time we arrived (reservation recommended ). Very impressed. Great service by what seemed to be a very well trained staff. Food was very good, but fairly pricey for what we got. The waitress recommended the house specials which were good but I've had better for the money. To summarize, we'd go back for a special occasion but not in any hurry. I would prefer Mancy's Italian or the original steakhouse on Phillips.

I have eaten there many times with colleagues and customers as well as on own. It is pricy but the seafood is generally good. The lighting is too dim for my liking but does create a mood. They have several private rooms for larger groups which you can reserve which is good. The oysters and clam appetizers is very good. If you need to entertain people that like seafood or like yourself and willing to spend, its a good place. Some Asian colleagues and customers that live in seafood eating areas of Asia have said the seafood quality was good. You can dress casual but I recommend a little more dressier attire. You do not need a suit, but khackis or slacks and a dress shirt or polo would be best. Corporate casual is perfect.

We had to sit in the bar. Service was absolutely awful. It took 2 full hours to eat. By 8:45 I didn't even WANT to eat anymore. Was the food good? I don't really know, I was just desperate to leave.

  • Steve T.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! The Maple bourbon salmon on a bed of butternut squash ravioli was one of the best meals I've had . . . EVER!!! When I'm back in the area, I'll be here!

There were four of us, we went because it was my boyfriend's birthday. The restaurant is very clean and had a nice atmosphere. It might be too dark in there for some people though , I only say this because I watched a lady take out her phone and use the flashlight to read her menu. We ordered appetizers, crab cakes and a bread, cheese, olives, and tomato one (forgot what it was called). The crab cakes were good, I really liked the mango salsa that came with it. The other appetizer with the bread wasn't worth the money. Everyone ordered seafood. My boyfriend got the sea bass, I ordered the stuffed shrimp. The other couple ordered the stuffed shrimp and salmon. Dinners are served with one side and a house or Caesar salad. The red French dressing is super sweet, not tangy at all. My shrimp was great, it was stuffed with the same crab cakes as our appetizers. I like crab cakes so of course the shrimp was to my liking. My boyfriend's sea bass must have been good because he ate it all before I could try some. The salmon (the other couple had), "was good but was slightly overlooked"! Dessert was of course creme brûlée. I didn't have any but the others at the table said it was good. The bills got messed up somehow and we paid for the other couples! We worked it out. Service here, for a nicer restaurant needs improvement. They weren't bad servers, they just need polish. There were a couple of times when the server would reach across one of us to set down a plate. We were sitting at a table that had plenty of room around it. The server could have easily walked around and set the plate down without reaching across one person to serve another!

We dine at Bluewater every 2-3 months, mostly because we LOVE the atmosphere, however it seems like every time we go, there is usually 1 or 2 issues. This time was no exception. First, the positives. The service was perhaps the best we have had there. Both bar and dinner service was excellent. The atmosphere is also very chic, perhaps the best in Toledo. The problems are not huge, thus the 4 star ratings, yet we always seem to find we have some issues here. We sat by the window table, and on a 20 degree night, there was a noticeable draft. By the time dinner was over, all of us sitting along the wall were freezing. Some actually put coats on 3/4 of the way through dinner. Another disappointment was at the bar having a drink. We ordered a drink and requested Stoli Vanilla vodka. We were told the only vanilla vodka they had was Smirnoff. I was very disappointed that such a high end bar, with so many high end regular vodkas, had only a very low end vanilla. Finally, one in our party ordered a shrimp appetizer as a dinner, in a larger portion, it of few of us tasted to confirm, and it was simply not that good. Most of our good, while not spectacular, was certainly good, and well worth the price. We will try them again in another 2-3 months, and stay optimistic we can have an experience without the minor issues.

We went there on a Monday night and the place was surprisingly busy. We ordered a sushi roll for am appetizer and the texture was very mushy. The bread delivered to the table was dry and not very flavorful. I ordered the Bluewater Bouillabaisse. It was so dark in the restaurant that I wasn't sure what bits I was eating. The lobster was overcooked and very tough. The fish was OK as were the scallops. For what we paid this meal should have been much better.

One if the best in Toledo. Great dimly lit atmosphere with extraordinary service & food. Some of my favorites are the BBQ Sea Bass and Maple Bourbon Salmon. Their tuna tar tar appetizer is also fantastic.

We haven't been here in quite a while so I decided to surprise my wife on our 47th anniversary. Reservations were for 7:00pm, but we got stuck in traffic so I called and they promptly moved our time slot with no problem. When setting the reservations I told the lady I spoke to that it was our anniversary and that we'd prefer a booth. When we arrived we were wished a Happy Anniversary. After being seated and the server, Victoria introduced herself, she also wished us the same. We began with Oysters Rockefeller and it was prepared perfectly. So many restaurants including Mancy's Steakhouse have skimped on it lately. I had Walleye and the portion was adequate for the price. Taste was very good. My wife had the Grilled Shrimp and again, no complaints. Décor is very nice and service was excellent. I've read the negative reviews (I always read those first), but I found no issues to complain about. Bottom line...It is certainly worth trying.

I love everything about this restaurant from the ambiance to the food, to the rock candy sticks you get with your cappuccino. The service is always excellent. The food always exceeds my expectations and manages to taste better than I remember. The Chilean sea bass is exquisite. I can't wait to go back!

I'm a business traveler who has been to Mancy's blue water grille many times. Everytime I am impressed!! World class seafood and amazing service! You get what you pay for though-never seems to be under $50 PP after tax&tip and is generally a bit more. Would definitely recommend!!!!

This is a lovely place! They are a steakhouse that imports fresh fish and seafood from Boston and Hawaii. The staff had polished service. Explained the specials well. They say the fish is fresh-- from the time that it is caught to the table is 48 hours. Very very impressive. However-- our server was not as familiar with the wine list as I expected. Positives-- the bluecheese dressing on my salad-- delicious! The bread in the basket-- obviously house made was so yummy I asked for it to be boxed to go. The butter on the table to heavily seasoned. I had a delicious very fresh fish (either mahi mahi or seabass) with a sticky rice and green beans. Everything was prepared perfectly. However my plate presentation was stark-- very boring, unappealing and not colorful. #chifoodie #foodtourisum #toledo

I'm from RI and currently live in the Toledo area. I miss the native New England seafood like most people here miss the sun. This is the ONLY restaurant that I've found in the last few years that has the seafood of home. I've noticed that the seafood is from my native area and is incredibly fresh. On the down side, the seafood dishes while fresh, are not prepared like native New England dishes which are simply prepared with little fanfare. Still the best I've found while living in this area. Heading back to NE next year. Woohoo!!

I now regret every restaurant dinner I have had in Toledo not-at-Mancy's. Table service is engaged and friendly without being pretentious. Bombay Done the Right Way is as good a martini as I've had anywhere (blue cheese stuffed olives, omg.) Tonight's dinner of half a dozen Hood Canal (WA) oysters and an Ahi Tuna Niçoise Salad was about perfect. Tomorrow I plan to hunt down their original steakhouse even though it won't be 3 doors down from my hotel. Tiny things I would change (but that the market would almost certainly not support in Toledo:) 1 - Grass fed and finished beef. Nutritionally superior in every way, but I think an acquired taste (one well worth acquiring, mind you.) 2 - Some interesting domestic gin a step above Bombay Sapphire (Sapphire is good gin, but there are some really good domestics that blow it away (Anchor Junipero, Number 209 to name my two very favorite.) 3 - Domestic extra virgin olive oil. I don't know that this is not the case, only that olive oil is more likely to be actual olive oil the closer to home it is pressed. 4 - Kumamoto oysters. OK, this is really a stretch because the Eagle Creek from Hood Canal WA were just outstanding. Shout out to Hope for being such a delightful waiter.

The food was amazing! Will definitely go again. We had the salmon and the shrimp. Both were done to perfection. But while the wait staff was good once he picked up the check and told us he would bring back coffee, we did not see him again.

Their sea food is delicious. Did not really like the chicken Entrée. It was really chewy.

Went here for a dinner meeting. The private room situation is not ideal. The rooms are only separated by curtains so it is not good for a meeting that requires actual conversation. But the food was good. We had 2 appetizers -- the crab cakes which were fine, not the best I've ever had but very solid and some steak thing on bread with blue cheese and a brown sauce -- that was pretty darn awesome. I had the rigatoni for dinner and it was really good. The bread is amazing. The service was really good as well, I think they refilled my soda about 20 times throughout the 3 hour meeting! I would go back again if I were in the area and eat in the regular dining room.

I will come here for the freshly baked, warm bread, scallops, and key lime pie alone. And I would make a meal out of it. And I would go alone. Maybe even grab a glass of white whine while I'm at it. I particularly love the ambiance. I feel very grown up at Mancy's sitting in a u-shaped booth that's slightly elevated. Even more sophistacated when the extremely knowledgable waitress comes around who knows the menu like the back of her hand and easily follows up with her recommendations. That's my kind of place! It is pretty pricey but it's worth it for that "special someone" aka: yourself. The bread, I wanted to take home. Scallops so perfectly cooked they just melt in your mouth. And the key lime pie? I can feel and taste the freshness of the key lime and the texture of that crust is just divine. Again, I will have to re-do that meal all over again. And this time? I won't bring anyone with me who I'd have to share anything with :).

My deliberation between four and five stars: should a restaurant be penalized for atmosphere because its in a mall parking lot in suburban Toledo? Of course not, THAT would rule out some fine joints in suburban everywhere. I used to spend a lot of time in Maumee on business. Really nothing to miss... except Mancy's. Great selection on draft, and the frosted glasses are a great touch. Always a huge selection of fresh seafood, and reasonably priced. Whether at a table or at the bar, terrific service. I will go out of my way when in north western Ohio to get back to Mancy's.

Went here for V-Day. Wasn't blown away like I had hoped. Ordered oysters and calamari to start. Oysters were really good. The calamari is tossed in a hoisen sauce. I knew what hoisen sauce was going in and I was a little skeptical from the start. Wasn't sure about the sweetness with the calamari. I would have liked a more savory flavoring and didn't think the hoisen really worked. I ordered the Big Eye Tuna. Our waiter was really good, but knowing that it was our first time there he should have said, "Hey fatty, not sure if that's gonna be enough food for you." Maybe not in those words, I guess, but the portion of tuna left a lot to be desired. It came with a side of what I can only describe as shrimp stir fry (it was good). The pickled ginger wasabi sauce was a little overpowering for the fish and I thought it needed something a little more subtle to accompany it. My gf ordered the mixed grill and that saved the night. She got a moderate sized portion of tuna, salmon, and mahi mahi. She had 2-3 times the amount of fish that I had for the exact same price. If I go back, I will be ordering that dish - the mahi mahi was the best of the three by the way. Overall not a bad experience, just thought I would be able to say more than that about this place. I'll stick to one of the other Mancy's joints from here on out.

First and foremost : We were visiting our home town Toledo and we met some friends at Bluewater Grille for some drinks. I had just got my i phone. My friend said hey I know a great app you can get. This is where I got the Yelp App. We did frequent this restaurant often and never had a bad meal. The Mancy Family has always been a top establishment to go to. They have a number of restaurants around town and everyone of them is top shelf. Mr. Mancy would always come and talk with my wife and I when we would come. He did appreciate our business and was happy to see us. The service was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. The food was great, I always ordered Salmon, my favorite, and it was done to perfection. Just a few minutes from the expressway , easy in and easy out. I am sure you will find Bluewater Grille a charming place with great food.

Nice atmosphere! The service was good! The food was just ok. The oyster Rockfellars were bland. The sushi was terrible. The lock Manch's beer was good.

  • Brian G.

Just goes to show how bland food, overpriced menu can get the Mancy name slapped on it and be expected to be good. Go sit at the bar, you'll see the owner, but don't expect anything more than a grumble if you say hi. When the food comes bring out the Tabasco to give it flavor. Really overrated.

Many wonderful dinners here. Such a nice place. Never had a below par meal. Beautiful decor. Excellent service every time. They will accommodate any special request. In the city, this is second only to Mancy's Steakhouse.

Wow, Atmosphere was great and the Food was Awesome. I had the house special, Grilled Trout with hollondaise. Served With Grilled Brussel sprouts, and a Baked Poatoe. The Food Was Delicious, And the Service was great. Bit Expensive, You Get what pay for. Will Return in the future

This is my favorite Mancy's restaurant. The atmosphere is great but I would recommend getting reservations. The filet is amazing! The majority of fish entrees are great as well. The salmon over ravioli was good but on the sweeter side. The pasta was homemade and delicious.

This was our first outing at MBG and we were looking forward to a good meal after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, just about every aspect of the meal disappointed. My margarita tasted like it was poured straight from a bottle of pre-made mix. The croutons on the salad were so hard it was like chewing rocks, and the bleu cheese dressing had little flavor. My New York Strip with mushrooms was blackened on the outside, and very rare on the inside. The mushrooms were just heated up, not sauteed. The waitress was adequate but not as attentive as she should be in a restaurant like this. She seemed like she would rather have been somewhere else. For a 72 dollar meal, I expected a lot more than what I received. We won't be going back.

In the Maumee area of Toledo for the night, I Yelp'd and found Mancy's Bluewater Grille, which happened to also be very close to my Hotel. This is a seafood and steak place and after viewing the menu, and realizing that for me to get seafood might do more damage to my limited meal per diem, I decided to get the Sirloin steak. This $20 steak comes with a choice of either house or Ceasar salad and Baked potato. I also ordered a Stella Artois on tap, which was delicious! I had the Ceasar salad and it was quite good. Their cheesy bread is also excellent! The steak came out and I couldn't have been happier with it! Grilled and perfectly medium, with lots of flavor! Good place, good service!

Had dinner here upon arrival From Louisville to work in Toledo for a week. Had a Delmonico but also had to have the perch which was on the menu. Steak cooked and seasoned very well. I am a fan of Jeff Ruby's in Cincy so his steaks are hard to match. This was close but still not that crispy Ruby finish. The perch were lightly breaded and tasty. Calamari were very good with a hoisin sauce finish. Servings VERY ample. Friend had a mojito which was her first but the bartender had NO clue how to make one. Other than this I would go back but "it ain't cheap"!

A little disappointed. A tad overpriced for slightly above average food. Paid $96 for two entrees, an appetizer, and two drinks. Maybe I would feel better about the price if I were blown away by the food. I doubt I would return.

I've been here twice. The first time I came with a group of co-workers and we split the tuna roll and one other app. They were delicious. I got the prime rib and it was perfectly cooked, very flavorful, and so juicy. The horseradish sauce was a great combination. The second time I came alone for lunch as soon as it opened that morning. I ordered some oysters which were delicious. They also have a $6 deal menu for lunch where you can choose about 7 or 8 different things. I got the spicy tuna roll again which wasn't as good as I remembered from the first time. I also got a burger for the main course and I have to say it was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten in my life. It was cooked perfectly and exploded with flavor. It was fantastic. I'll be stopping here every time I pass through Maumee.

Came here as my last formal dine-in in the city of Toledo. Have heard good reviews about it, always wanted to try, and it did not disappoint me. I order the sea-bass (chelian), which was pricy but very VERY good. I'd give it a 5 star if it wasn't for the house salad... Frankly, I was disappointed about the side dishes, even though the main dishes (fish, lobster...etc) were very good. The calamari appetizer is very good as well. With a special pecking duck sauce, I thought it was both innovative and tasty. Service is very good, good ambiance. I would definitely come back if I every come back to Toledo ~~~~

As we are new to the area, we were warned before going out: "now keep in mind, you're in Ohio, in the middle of the 'cornfields', don't get your hopes up for Seafood out here". But NOTHING could've been further from the truth. I lived and worked in Montauk Long Island, and the food at Mancy's BlueWater is comparable, if not BETTER than what I'm used to from there. I'm not a big fish person to begin with but EVERYTHING was outrageous. We ordered Oysters Rockafeller, and the waitress recommended Crab Cakes for appetizers. They were so amazing, we considered skiping the sweets and ordering THEM for our dessert. The Mahi Mahi and BBQ glazed Sea Bass were phenomenal. Again, I'm NOT a fish person, but I could've eaten these for days. And the staff!!!! Jessica was well informed, gave fantastic suggestions and really made us feel like we were hanging out with a friend at a dinner party, rather than "being served". She was attentive and personable, we didn't want to leave. We will be back

If you're looking for a wondefully cooked piece of fish, this is the place. Service was excellent and both his recomendations were spot on.

I'm thinking this is as good as it gets in Maumee, OH. Mancy's is like a upscale Bonefish Grille. It was really close to our hotel, so we actually came here twice during our short stay in Ohio....once with a friend and once on our own. We came here on a Saturday night at about 8:30PM and was told it would be about a 15-20 min. wait...no problem, as we are use to much longer waits and don't mind getting a drink at the bar. We took a seat at the bar and right away could tell that the service was going to be blah....we basically got our drinks by the time our pager went off to get seated...that bad! As soon as we were seated we were thrilled to find out we had a booth seat...we hardly ever get booths! They always start you off with bread, and we had to wait a little extra for ours as it was coming right out of the oven. Note to future diners....I would come here again and again and again just for the bread...yes, it is that good! We started off with the Singapore style Calamari and the Heirloom Tomato Salad for apps. Calamari was good, but the flavor was a little more subtle than what we expected. Heirloom Tomato Salad was excellent! For entrees, we ordered Delmonico Steak with Prawn Shrimp and the Pretzel Crusted Grouper. Hubby enjoyed his steak and shrimp. My Pretzel Crusted Grouper came with leek mashed potatoes and asparagus. The grouper would have been pretty bland on its own, so thank goodness it came along with this amazing mustard aioli sauce......soooooooo frickin good! We were way stuffed, but wanted to sample some desserts! Hubby ordered the Key Lime Pie and I ordered the Apple Brown Betty. I wasn't even hungry at this point, but with the help of my hubby I pushed through and finished my Betty! It was amazing, but I'm a sucker for anything with caramel and apples together. Come here if you are tired of the Outback's, Applebee's, and Olive Garden options. Don't come here if you don't want a dimly lit setting and $20-$35 entrees. This place offers a little bit of everything, but the main focus is the fresh fish flown in daily! Highlight's of this meal: BREAD....enough said! And the Pretzel Crusted Grouper with amazing sauce, and Apple Brown Betty were pretty good too ; )

I'll start by acknowledging that every restaurant has an "off" night, and I could have very well been experiencing such a thing. I'll also acknowledge that I am, in general, a huge fan of the Mancy's Restaurant Group, so I had huge expectations for the Bluewater Grille and they had quite a bit to live up to. But my recent experience? Substandard, at best. As part of a medium-sized group with a reservation, we had requested a table out of the way in one of the many alcoves placed throughout the restaurant, but instead were seated at a table that was at the edge of the noisy kitchen and in the middle of the walkway, so were were constantly bumped into by other patrons and imposed on by the large service carts and trays. Despite this, we had an attentive server (who was one of the few redeeming parts of the night) who apologized for the chaos around us and was sure to keep our drinks refilled and checked on us consistently. The biggest problem was the food itself. Our table ordered a wide range of items (seafood, steak, salads, appetizers) and every last dish was cold upon arrival. After sending the worst items back to be reheated, they rearrived at our table not 5 minutes later only slightly warmer. While the food was presented beautifully and I'm sure would have been tasty had it been at least lukewarm, we were instead disappointed and felt obligated to pick through our meal in order to avoid sending it back a third time. Our server communicated that we would have certain items taken off of our bill, but to be honest we would have gladly paid the full price for properly prepared food. On top of it all, the manager never stopped by the table during dinner and instead sent all messages through the server. It was busy that night, but he could often be seen causually chatting near the bar with other employees. A visit to the table would have been appreciated and appropriate. At the end of the night when we approached him, the chef could be seen standing at the edge of the kitchen sending annoyed glances our way. The other reviews on this site and others rave about this place, so I'm inclined to think that my experience was a fluke and would be willing to give it another chance. But the attitude of the manager and chef left me cold. I guess the moral of the story is that sometimes an upscale rating doesn't mean everything.

Blue Water Grille is alway high on our list when going out to eat. We found the wait staff a pleasure to deal with. The menu is excellent and the food was delivered on a timely basis. I have always enjoyed our meals here.

This place has the blandest and strangest tasting coleslaw I have had in a long time. I dont think they put a drop of vinegar to lighten the density of the mayo/cabbage, leaving it pretty darn flavorless and heavy tasting. They did a great job cooking all of the seafood my husband and I had, and that is their strength from what we could see. The bread was good, but nothing to write home about. My 'sticky rice' was water logged and had lost all it's sticky goodness. The chocolate cake was pretty good, but for the price I am surprised so many elements of the non-seafood portions of our meal were lacking. The waitstaff was excellent and attentive.

We were just there this past Sunday, November 25, to escape the turkey day leftovers. As always, the atmosphere was great, slightly disappointed with the calamari, but the chef's special rainbow roll was excellent. Normally I order seafood (which is usually quite good), but I opted for the medallions this time around....EXCELLENT. Caesar salad at Blue Water is my favorite. Wait staff was top notch, cocktails delish, and everything was quite clean. Will go back in a heart beat.

It's a Mancy's restaurant so top tier as all the Mancy's are. The food is fantastic, as is the service, and the decor as well. Neither of us has ever had anything we didn't love here.

It was very yummy. The food was good and priced as expected for a bit of an upscale restaurant. They did sit us near the door which also happened to be next to the kitchen door as well so our seat was not the best. It made my romantic evening out with my husband a little less romantic. Otherwise it was good.

My wife enjoys her red trout and I like that their kids fish sticks were real fish. I wasn't so lucky as my scallops were weird gray color and were not sweet or tasty. They gladly replaced my order so I order the white fish. Unfortunately that dish taste it worse than the scallops. the manager came out and they only charge for my wife and my daughters meal so I can send in for handeling the situation properly. I will try them again next time and hopefully get better results .

The prices do not reflect the quality of the food. More expensive than the regular Mancy's steak house, which has better quality and atmosphere. Servers are good, however usually very busy with very limited seating. Expect to drop $100 for two dinners here with appetizers.

Good selection of seafood, with a nice domestic wine list. Both reasonably priced. We enjoyed three kinds of raw oysters. Our grilled whitefish was perfectly done. Great service by Victoria. Warning: Take a flashlight so you can read the menu, and take care walking around, as they seem to take pride in keeping it really dark.

no matter how many times ive been here, they always seem to satisfy my every need... great seafood, great drinks, great atmosphere, great ambiance...i mean, hands down great restaurant overall.. **they have an awesome vinegarette cole slaw that is pretty damn good, and you wont go wrong with the tuna tartar..(get the right bartender and they make a mean dirty martini) ;) cant wait to go back! :D

I don't know what happened to this place, but the food quality has gone way down and the prices way up. Dinner for two is $100 with a drink. The seafood may be fresh, but the preparation of it is awful. ...dry, flavorless, small portions. If you crave seafood, go to Real Seafood at the Docks. We won't be back here even though we used to enjoy this place. One thing that is good are the martini's and we cannot complain about the service. Too bad they let the food quality go down.

This is where you will find me at least once on every monthly trip to the Toledo area. The seafood is flown in daily to ensure it is always delicious! All the staff are warm, friendly, and ready to show you why this is a place they are proud of. I wouldn't suggest bringing the little ones to this restaurant, but I have seen the well behaved munchkins present. For the wine lovers, if you know your vinology, ask for the reserve list. I have found Rubicon Reserve 2005 there as well as some other treasures! Side note, the cheese plate appetizer will never fail you!

As a self-proclaimed zealous bruncher, brunch on Sunday was a must for my parents and me this past weekend. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems/sounds like Mancy is Toledo's Cameron Mitchell and Bluewater Grille is Toledo's Ocean Club (plus the daily changing menu.) Anyways, I opted for the crab cake eggs benedict (2 crab cakes and poached eggs on top of an english muffin drenched with hollandaise sauce.) The eggs were poached to perfection and crab cakes were savory and not heavily breaded. The accompanying home fries were not too greasy nor too briny. My dad went with the grilled beef tenderloin eggs benedict which was basically the same dish. Having ordered them well, I found the tenderloin to be a tad chewy. My mom settled with the beef tenderloin tips which had a distinct taste to it, but still quite tasty. I searched the brunch menu for the stuffed french toast but to no avail. Either they change the menu weekly or have removed it completely. The ambiance was quite... blue. The restaurant was either suitably named or aptly decorated. Our hapa server was nice to look at, although service seemed to be quite rushed. The 5th star will (or will not) come once I sample their real menu, because we all know that one actually has to TRY in order to screw up eggs benedict.

Great seafood in a very nice setting. Menu changes as fish is available, most fish on the menu is either simply grilled or in a more elaborate dish. Excellent selection of app's, we had the calamari quick fried and served in a hosin sauce with seaweed salad. Unique and really good. As the main course had grouper broiled with a mild BBQ glaze, served on garlic mashed and perfectly cooked string beans and covered with thin, crisp, fried sweet onion strings. Excellent presentation and wonderful taste. Beef available if someone in your group does not like seafood. Very nice bar area, good wine list with some available by the glass.

Probably the best seafood place in Toledo area. a little pricey, but worth it. Everything I have had there was great. Great atmosphere. Superb alcohol selection. Many hard to get top notch scotches. kids love it too (kids meals are only abt $5)

When you Mancy's in the name anywhere around Toledo, than you are guaranteed a fine dining experience. This is Mancy's newest restaurant and the name is associated with one of the best steakhouses in the United States, Authentic Italian Cuisine and now, some of the freshest seafood in town. The interior decor in unlike anything I have seen around this area. They don't hide the kitchen, you can look through a glass to see the immaculate equipment and kitchen staff. There is a breathtaking raw bar serving seafood laid out under a shower of ice falling from the ceiling! Their are private rooms for groups that can accommodate up to 20, maybe even 30 people behind long draping curtains. From the reception desk to the liquor bottles suspended above the bar, nothing in the restaurant is taken for granted when it comes to aesthetics. The food is not only delicious, it is presented beautifully. The portions are large which makes up for the higher prices, expect to pay at least $50 dollars for lunch for 2. But its not all bad, the drinks aren't unnecessarily high at all. So when you want to treat yourself or impress a date, Mancy's Bluewater Grille will deliver.

My mother takes me here when I go to Ohio. Damn good, but I'm ripped on Scotch in the Limo to the place every time. But it must be nice because they don't kick me out. I always leave with a buzz and my taste buds tingling.

We went there last night for an anniversary dinner. We were seated in the bar-section in a booth. At first, we were worried about the noise level but it ended up not being a problem. The service was prompt and friendly. It was our first time dining there. The server asked us if we had been there before and when we said no, he went over the basics of the menu which I appreciated. I had the Red-Oak Grilled Scallops. The scallops were pretty decent but what really made the dish was the sauce and the mushrooms/potatoes. My husband got the Ahi Tuna with the wasabi, sticky rice, etc. He said it was not the best tuna he's had but it was pretty good. We both got house salads and their maple dijon dressing is one of the best I've ever had. The bread they bring to the table was pretty good too. What made our meals weren't necessarily the seafood but all the littles extras. We would go back for a nice dinner maybe 1 a year or every other year.

Love the king crab there! Also the best grilled sea scallops by far . And if you want a great top shelf Margarita, order the Golden Margarita! I always get the sampler plate of Oysters on the half shell - Delicious!

Very nice atmosphere. They bought and renovated the old Hops. Did a wonderful job with the renovation. It is very nice place to go and eat. They have about 30 different fish to choose from. A lot of selection. I had the crab legs and they were amazing! Plan on going back again soon.
