Love Blaze. We each have our favorite.. Lots of Mediterranean vegis for me. Meat for my husband. Can't forget the blood orange lemonade. Best of all, it's so reasonable!

I just tried blaze pizza for my first time. The food was fantastic. I will be back. If you don't know what this place is, it is the chipotle of pizzas. Create your own, or choose from several different house pizzas. I tried one of those and it was great. Very fresh ingredients, and a well cooked pizza. The blood orange lemonade is delicious. I suppose you could call this their signature drink. I highly recommend it if you like lemonade. Hopefully some of the opening kinks will be worked out soon. They could work on keeping the place a little cleaner. Also they seemed to be understaffed, you will think I'm crazy when you go there but all those workers get caught up doing something quickly. The line gets big very fast during busy eating times and it looked like it was going to take a while to get thru. Luckily I got there just before. I'll be back!

not bad for what it has to offer. 3 adults 2 kids. ordered 3 different pizzas and still had some left over. amazing to have a pizza cooked all the way in such a short time.

Got two vegan pizzas. Both were good. A little too charred for my taste but my partner found it enjoyable. Good amount of Dayia vegan mozzarella but I wish there wasn't a "vegan tax". I understand that vegan cheese is a bit more costly than animal cheeses but omitting meat toppings probably evens the cost out. My partner picked the pizzas up and found service to be a bit over zealous/confused (multiple people asking what toppings he'd like after he'd already told several others) but that's understandable considering they're in soft opening stage. Overall- good pizza, decent price, fast service. Will visit again.

Plain and simple, this place is delicious. This is about the most accurate conversion of Chipotle into another genre of food that I've ever seen. I can't wait for this place to expand into Kentucky. $7.25 for a pizza, unlimited any topping. I really appreciate their Signature Pizza menu for giving you great ideas of where to start, but really, it's just a springboard into whatever delicious combination your taste buds can concoct. The pizzas themselves are amazing. Crispy, wood-fired thin crust. Topping choices are plentiful... I couldn't even hope to convey them all to you if I wanted to. The decor and style are very reminiscent of Chipotle as well. Lots of post-modern metal and wood, with loud popular music pumping in the background. I want to eat here again immediately.

Quick, easy, peasy and delicious! Think of this as the Chipolte of Pizza. Your first time will probably be overwhelming, but you will quickly get the hang of it. You can order off of their prepared menu or create your own. The thing I like is that the pizza's are all $7 bucks or under! Yay! Plus, I had plenty for lunch the next day, double yay!! The first time I had the Green Stripe - pesto drizzle over grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, chopped garlic, mozzarella, arugula and I added bacon, my boyfriend had the White Top - white cream sauce with mozzarella, applewood bacon, chopped garlic, oregano and minus the arugula. They were both great - steaming hot! I got the regular lemonade and he got the house special blood orange lemonade - he loved it. The second time we stopped in I got the White Top and he opted for the Meat Eater - pepperoni, crumbled meatballs, red onion, mozzarella, red sauce and added bacon. Again, everything was great! Seating can be limited if you go during dinner time, but by the time we had our pizza, we only had to wait a few minutes to find a seat. Great pizza and friendly staff, we will be back!

All I wanna know is, Does Arnold own this Delish Cali concept? Love it either way. Hurry and "get to the choppa" and "get down" on the build ur own style of thin crust. It's not great pizza by any means, but it's good - and u can add a plethora of toppings for the same price.

  • Doug C.

It's Chipotle meets Pizza Hut to good effect. I recommend it as an in-n-out joint. The pizzas themselves are uniformly good: tangy sauces and quality cheeses. The prices cannot be beat, as well -- maybe half of what you would pay at a sit down joint. One could have lunch there every day and not go broke.

Delicious pizza! Fresh ingredients and the staff was so friendly! My husband and I remarked at how well they worked together and how everyone kept their composure during a very busy evening. The lemonade and Blood orange lemonade are both so delicious!

Kids favorite! Basic pie is too inexpensive to pass up. White top is my favorite. Easy to add on or leave something off. Friendly crowd working behind the counter. 11" is a nice size.

Great experience!! Fast, delicious customizable pizza cooked in less than 5. I wish we had this place where I live!

  • Irene C.

Wow! This place is amazing, the pizza is so good and you can't beat the price. One is enough for 2 people or 3 if you're not a big eater. The build your own concept is genius, especially if you have or are a picky eater. Everything is fresh, and delicious. We are big pizza eaters and this is definitely our new pizza spot.

For all my life I've been living under the suppression of compromise. All the fantasy pizzas, glorious toppings, and genius combinations I ever wanted and dreamed of were never fully agreed upon by those with whom I shared the meal. For what is the point of pizza if not for communal dining? I was doomed to the typical marinara-mozzarella-pepperoni-green pepper-onion lame-pie my fiancé and I have compromised on for years. Because love. It became comfortable, though I knew in my heart that I was compromising far more. My soul knew the pizza it wanted. It had yet to be realized. Finally, Blaze Pizza. Approaching the Chipotle-esque bar, and realizing what I had stumbled upon, my soul rejoiced! But the psychological shackles remained. My partner and I unknowingly made identical pizzas. Fortunately, there are second chances. My spirit pizza called to me, and two days later, I answered that call. It said, "Build your own, Rachel." And I replied, "Mozzerella, CHUNKS of Mozzerella, Alfredo sauce, feta, Parmesan, SPINAAAAACH, artichoke, GARLIC, salt of the SEA, oreganooooo!!!!" It was beautiful, fully formed in concept and design. And that is how I became free to live my best life, make my best choices, and eat my best pizza.

This is a fun place to order what you like. Similar to chipotle, for about 7 dollars, you can get as many toppings as you would like. The works seem so excited to be working there. If you like thin crust pizza, you should give this a try.

  • Matthew C.

This is by far my favorite pizza place I've ever been too. They have a build your own for only $7.25 and unlimited toppings. Since they are all individual size pizzas everyone gets what they want. Always busy but in-spite of being busy they move very quick. Not to mention the staff were all friendly and call you by name.

    (5)
  • Keri M.

OMG all I can say is that this is arguably the best thin crust pizza I've ever had, and I'm from NY! My regular is grilled chicken, fresh basil and Kalakaua olives on traditional red sauce with mozzarella. On about three minutes, your pizza is not only fully cooked but cooked to perfection. It is absolutely the Chipotle of pizza and so darn good. They serve Coke products including Coke Zero, my favorite, along with some bottled items and water. And the prices are very good - like $8 for my usual pie. I always tell myself I won't eat the whole thing, but I always do! Highly recommend this place and Blaze generally - forts time I had was in L'Villle and just as yummy...

Been to this location on two occasions. Service was good and friendly. We liked sitting outside. Inside was relatively loud. The pizza was below average. I had the bbq chicken. I think the chipotle translation is a great idea, but the taste is not as good as Pieology or Cucinova.

I came to Blaze with my family for their grand opening... Waited in line for over an hour (they were giving away free pizzas that day) but it was actually worth the wait! This is a restaurant chain from California that's been opening new locations all across the country. I'm so glad mason is one of them! It's a chipotle-style concept, where you can either choose a pizza off the menu or choose your own ingredients, and they make it there right in front of you (for less than $7 per person!) There were a lot of people working that day, but one guy asked my name at the beginning and everyone after him greeted me by my first name which I thought really made the experience nice and personal. The ingredients are super fresh and high quality, and there are a TON of options to choose from, including a variety of sauces. The pizzas only take a couple minutes to cook and then you're in heaven! My mom and my sisters all ordered different pizzas from the menu, and all of them were fantastic. My favorite was the meat eater - sooo delicious. Even though it's an individual size pizza and the crust is pretty thin, I still took home a couple pieces! I really like this place, and on top of the food, the atmosphere/staff culture seems very fun and laid back. Hoping they'll open a location closer to the city soon!

Yum brands has another hit on their hands. A Subway style of build your own pizza that allows you to put ANY and AS MANY of the toppings you want on your thin crust pizza that cooks in just 3 minutes!!! Fun, joyful staff and great prices. $5 plain pizza, $7 all you can fit on top. Great for casual dates, or families. Has a feel of Chipotle but no beers.

  • Jared R.

As a first time customer, not knowing get what to expect, I'd have to say it was a great experience, and imo, an above average pizza. The topping selection leaves something to be desired, but at least they seem fresh. Will definitely be back. FYI, the spicy red sauce is SPICY!

  • Crace S.

Blaze is a great way to get a delicious pizza pie fast. This company has taken the new age approach of assembly line, fast food preparations that Chipotle, Fusian and Piada have and applied it to tasty pizza pies. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and is fun without being too fast food restauranty. You order your pizza and there is a wide variety of sauces, cheeses, meats, veggies and herbs and spices to build the perfect pizza. Once it is ready for the oven it takes just around three to four minutes to bake your pizza as the oven is at a toasty 500+ degrees. You can choose from Blaze's signature pies or build your own for just $6.95 or choose a cheese or one topping pizza for a buck less. Oh, and get this...unlimited toppings! Yes, really! The crust comes out a little crispy and has always been delicious. Oh, they also offer some salads and s'mores that also get baked in the oven. They are pretty awesome and were baked on some sort of English tea biscuit instead of a traditional graham cracker. The only problem is that at peak hours there will be a line and seating may be difficult. Other than that Blaze is a great place for lunch, dinner or carryout. They also stay open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays for that late dinner or carryout for a quiet night at home. I suggest you give this place a try.

Yum! I just had lunch here with a co-worker (my first time, she has been here multiple times). It was a great overall experience, from the speed of the line; friendliness of service; cleanliness; price; and quality of the food. We came here at noon on a Friday, so they were VERY slammed. However, the line moved quickly, and I was pleased with how clean their service stations looked, even as busy as they were. The staff were very friendly and fast, and they had our pizzas prepped-to-order and baking in no time. Similarly to Subway or Chipotle, we went down a line, they had 11" fresh pizza dough crusts ready for my toppings of choice. I picked the "build your own" option ($6.95! Unlimited toppings! What a great deal!). I ordered my idea of a gourmet pizza: spicy red sauce, mozzarella, goat cheese, bacon, artichoke hearts, all baked in a brick oven for 180 precise seconds to a crisp, golden and bubbly perfection. Then, I requested my pizza to be drizzled with pesto sauce and topped with fresh arugula. Um, HEAVEN. The crust and sauce were SO good: a chewy, thin crust, crisp around the edges but still yielding to foldable slices like a sandwich. The sauce had a nice, zesty, fresh kick. And the toppings were perfectly proportioned and got nice and hot in the blazing oven heat. I really, really loved the crust and sauce, which is rare, good sauce and crust seem to be mutually exclusive in my experiences. Honestly, my pizza was so tasty, I even preferred it to the pricier ATavola or Dewey's! And what a great price! I also ordered a s'mores cookie ($2), but after crushing my entire pizza, I was too full and brought it back for a girl at work. She microwaved it and declared it the perfect sweet pick-me-up. Seriously, based on my first experience at Blaze, it is as stellar and good as the fast-casual dining experience gets. I will be returning, and I just hope it consistently delivers on quality and timing.

It was my wife's birthday so naturally our boys want pizza. Checked Yelp for local pizza places and found Blaze. The good reviews pulled us in. The assembly line ordering style works very well for pizza IMO. We get 3 pizzas, one for myself, one for my 8 year old and my wife and 4 year old split one. The wood fire oven cooks the pizza quickly. They are thin crust pizzas so the bottoms get nice and crispy. My 8 year old unfortunately did not like the dark cooked spots on his pizza and was unhappy. I usually chalk it up as him being picky as usual but it's a family day and I want him to be happy. I kindly ask if a new pizza can be made and Jake the GM says no problem. He personally stood by the oven to watch the pizza and make sure it was cooked perfectly. And it was. My son was now happy and the world was set right. Then Jake brings out 2 s'more pies for my boys to compensate for the wait on the re-made pizza (obviously totally unnecessary). I try to give him a tip for the above and beyond service and he refuses. I was already convinced with my pizza that I would be back. Jake made sure the whole family was convinced. Bravo.

Hands down the best. This is the gem of fast food pizza. Thin crust, individual sized pizza. You can get WHATEVER you want on your pizza for $8. Awesome! They have loads of fresh topping choices, as well as a few different sauces (classic red, spicy red, garlic for sure) and cheese (mozzarella, parm, ricotta, and goat, for sure). After many, many visits, first in WI and now in Mason, OH, I have nailed down my favorite to: Spicy red sauce, mozzarella cheese, dollops of ricotta, sausage, banana peppers, zucchini, and roasted garlic. I can breath on anyone until I find a toothbrush, but it is worth it!! Also, the blood orange lemonade is a must try!

  • Heather L.

Chipotle style pizza place. Love the brick oven taste. Great selection of pick as many as you want toppings and they always seem fresh. The Blood Orange Lemonade and s'mores are amazing!

This place won't take long to expand outside of Mason. It's the Chipotle of the pizza world. You go through the line, you tell them what you want, SHAZZAAM. Two minute later and you have a delicious pizza in front of you. As soon as you walk in you can smell the delicious aroma. The value is GREAT. $6.95 for a pizza big enough to leave me wanting a nap. I loved that there was no additional charge for ingredients. As much as you want for $6.95. I'm a fan. Make sure you leave yourself enough time to dine here. While the pizza comes out fast and fresh, that doesn't stop the line from beginning to wrap around. It took us about 20 minutes to get through the line. Definitely worth it, but tough when you're on a lunch break at work. I will definitely be back to get some more of this delicious pizza.

  • Amy L.

Amazing pizza...its a build-your-own type of place but in PIZZA form..yes...pizza form. The meatballs are my fave to get on the pizza with the spicy sauce. DO NOT....I say..DO NOT leave without a S'more pie. You will not be sorry and at $2, its SO worth it!

I just visited Blaze for the first time today for lunch and it was pretty kick ass. Even though I loved it, I'm only giving four stars because it was my very first time. If they keep it up and everything else is as good as it was this time, then they will be five stars. I went right before the lunch rush, so it wasn't too busy. I was able to walk right up and start my order. The staff seemed friendly and were helpful. I made my own pizza, with the white sauce, chicken, bacon, spinach, chopped garlic, ricotta, and mozzarella, and not to be too cocky, but I created a pretty damn good pizza. All of the other options looked good, and I can't wait to go back and try more genius creations that I can think up.

  • Jeff G.

This place is like a Chipotle for pizza. It even looks like a Chipotle. You shuffle quickly through the line and choose everything from the sauce to the toppings. They have a great selection of everything you would want to top a pizza with. Once you are done your pizza gets tossed in an oven that has your pie ready in two minutes. The pizza is pretty good...especially for $7. I had this place bookmarked as a place i wanted to try. Im glad i did.

  • Leo B.

Wonderful. This is such a good pizza. I would come here after a Volleyball game and enjoy. The place is packed around lunchtime so be aware. But after 5 its so fast. (Sanik speed) fast. Great customer service to. I've gone there so much I'm known. They know my order and are just such nice people.

  • Deano C.

I'm sorry...I am from NY and, admittedly, am biased against (what masquerades as) pizza in the Midwest. Brave was efficient (fast food style) and relatively inexpensive...but not really very good. The crust was far too thin ... I've seen thicker Matzos. The toppings were sparse. Those in our party who chose a "red" sauce found it greasy and soggy. I feel that people here are so use to bad pizza they wouldn't know a good one if it hit them in the face.

  • Patrick S.

Great lunch place for pizza. Fast and something for everyone. The staff is easy going even during a rush and will walk you through the ordering process.

  • Kimberly M.

I LOVE this concept! I was able to get everything I've ever wanted on a pizza with no upcharge (except a minimal one for the meat). On my first visit I ordered their BBQ gorgonzola pizza, but making your own is really where it's at. No more compromising on toppings with people sharing a pizza with me! No more carefully selecting toppings to avoid paying extra for more than two options! Extra sauce? Free! Extra cheese? Free! Olives, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, basil, onions, sauteed veggies? Free! Free! Free! The side salad with balsamic dressing and mozzarella balls was also delicious! Overall taste was not amazing, but definitely tasty, and worth the compromise for my personalized pizza.

We ordered online and were told our order would be ready in 15 minutes. We got there early so we went into a shop nearby to kill some time. After about 20 minutes we went into Blaze to pick up our order. The place was packed! So, I understand if our order would have taken a while longer, but it was so unorganized. We stood near the register while the workers helped everyone else but us for at least 10 minutes. Finally, they told us our order would be right up. We had our 10 month old with us so after another 5 minutes I took him to the car. Had we not paid online we would have walked out. My husband finally asked again about our order and it had been sitting near the oven basically the entire time we were there. No apologies. No comped meal. Horrible customer service. The pizza was pretty good, but good pizza is pretty easy to come by. We won't be back.

Great fun place! Went with my son for lunch. Pizza is yummy, wood-fired, fast and fresh to order. I had more than enough for lunch the next day. I ordered a Margherita with arugala and my 17 year old had a pizza o'meat. Both were beautifully done gooey and crisp with gorgeous crusty bubbles. And that crust I delicious!!!

  • Darrell M.

I don't like to hand out 5 stars unless truly deserved, but this place earns all 5! Am I going to call this my favorite pizza ever? No, but it is my favorite lunchtime pizza ever because it's FAST and delicious. I built a pizza with their spicy red sauce, mozzarella and goat cheese, meatballs, fresh basil, and cherry tomatoes. It was delicious and actually pretty cheap! For a pizza and drink I only spent $8. My only advice would be to avoid the main lunch rush and maybe go closer to 11am or 1pm. Also, it helps to have an idea of your options before to step up to bat, the options can be overwhelming if you wing it!

  • Tom O.

Definitely disappointed in my first visit to Blaze. Positives: Good, friendly and quick service. Very helpful in explaining everything to first-time customers. Custom pizzas in less than 5 mins. The food: there are a lot of pizza options as well as create your own. I went with the specialty meat eater pizza. The toppings appeared fresh but the paper thin pepperoni had almost no flavor. The crust was thin and crispy and cooked perfectly for my liking. However, the overall taste was no better than a pepperoni and sausage tombstone pizza. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a quick service lunch spot. I really WANT to like Blaze and I will definitely go back to try something else. I'm just not sure that I'll ever pick Blaze over Piada when I'm in the area for lunch. Seems like a lot of hype for a pretty average offering.

  • Megan G.

First time eating here, and I can honestly say I had one of the best pizzas of my life! They have a very nice variety of toppings to choose from, a few I have never seen at a pizza place before. I ordered the White Top pizza with kalamata olives, and all of the toppings blended together wonderfully. The applewood bacon was probably the best bacon I have ever had on a pizza, and even the crust tasted really good. I will most defiantly be coming back!

Great value for $7... just get here early to beat the lunch rush.

  • Kimberly J.

We stopped by here one night for dinner. First, let me say the decor is really fun and cute. The food was tasty. It's basically the Subway/Chipolte/Piada of the pizza world. They let you pick all the toppings you want for one price which is pretty cool. I ordered the white top (white cream sauce with mozzarella, applewood bacon, chopped garlic, oregano and arugula) and added sausage. They "fast fire" the pizza for 180 seconds in a Mega-hot oven. They offer vegan and gluten free options which you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Now for the big but...BUT their layout is freaking terrible. The line to the counter cuts right down the middle of the restaurant so you are basically standing in the way, no matter where you stand. The 10 minutes it took us to get to the counter was filled with "Excuse Me", "I'm sorry", and feeling terrible about being on top of everyone. That was miserable. A cute place but we decided to grab it To-Go because of the crowd and miserable dining experience. Food was great and the staff was hilarious- you'd have to have a sense of humor to deal with that noise level and crowd. My advice: Call ahead and enjoy this really tasty pizza at home.

  • Ron C.

This is a great place to eat pizza. We came here at 6:00 PM the place was crowded but the line moved very fast. Pizza was cooked just right and the staff behind the counter was very friendly. I like the fact that you can pick any topping that you want for your pizza at no additional charge. The prices are very reasonable. The only downside in my mind is that there's not a lot of seating.

    (4)
  • Eric M.

I went to blaze for lunch today the line was very long but I decided to wait because it got good reviews on Yelp. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. It was very good. It came out in 3 minutes and I also got a smores pie for dessert. The pie was also quite good. Overall I will return to Blaze because the pizza was good, cheap ($7 for an 11'' pizza), and fast.

    (4)
  • Caroline C.

Behold, fast casual assembly line-style for pizza. How has it even taken this long? But you know what doesn't take long? Your pizza. The line moves quickly and your pizza is ready in just 180 seconds (I guess this is just a fancy way of saying 3 minutes). The 11" inch size is more than enough. Actually, it's a bit disheartening that people consider this "personal" size. I was able to split mine and share a salad and I was plenty full. Crust aficionados need not apply. The crusts are machine-pressed, not hand-tossed. But the important part is that at least it's a freshly made crust, right? Toppings all were great. Major points for the spicy tomato sauce actually being spicy. There are many meats from which to choose and the veggies were plentiful as well. More points for that basil. I was impressed to see those large leaves of fresh basil. The only problem is that after you've had your pizza assembled and paid you must wait by the counter for your pizza to finish baking. It'd be nice if they devised some sort of system where they brought it to your table. When we were here at a busy time it created quite a mass of people all huddled around waiting for their name to be called. Like a Panera. Oh good god don't get me started on Panera.

  • Kristin S.

Seriously good pizza! They even have gluten free, if you're into that kind of thing. This is my go to place if I'm struggling to decide what might be good. It's a great place to go with a friend or two because everything is customizable and the prices are great. To describe Blaze, it's somewhere between and Chipotle an Subway. Chipotle in quality of ingredients, Subway in sheer volume of toppings. The staff is friendly, they get your name and familiarize you with their offerings if you've never been then you roll down the assembly line as they guide you through the process. I'd recommend getting one of their standard options and then add as many other toppings as you'd like; it's no charge. Also, I'm usually a water person, but their lemonade, so with it!

To be fair, I don't care about pizza. Maybe it's been the inundation of the crappy mass produced dominos/papa johns/Pizza Hut/donatos. They are all mediocre at best and I refuse to get excited about them. For years the only option for a decent pizza was from a nice Italian restaurant or one of the few small purveyors who provided a quality product. Blaze has really filled a void here. Under $7 for a terrific pizza that is more than large enough for the healthiest of appetites. Wood fired quality even though they look like gas burners. Great ingredients at lunch break approved speeds. If you like the chipotle/piada style eateries then you will more than approve of Blaze. Today was the soft opening for family and friends. I am neither. I was walking by in my way to one if their neighbors. Dibellas subs, also terrific. The door greater introduced himself as I was rubbernecking. I was then a new friend and invited in. The topping for my pie were exactly as I wanted, because I chose them. A few minor hiccups to be expected from an opening, but these did not detract from my overall experience. I chose a beet and goat cheese salad from the case and it was actually a different salad. That and their 120 second oven time might be a touch aggressive. Without question under 4 minutes probably under 3. I barely had time to get my drink when they called out my name. Drinks: any place that offers plain soda water out if their fountains get an extra star from me. That's about all I drink. Thanks for paying for that extra option blaze! I will be back. Btw, skip the s'more cookie thing. Was bland and dry and boring.

This place is awesome. now while it's always packed., it's definitely worth the wait in line. Friendly staff who call you by name, huge array of toppings including vegan and gluten free options, and the blood orange lemonade is to die for! Will miss this place when I move back south.

Stumbled onto this little gem after a weekend long baseball tournament in the area. Very good! Simple menu with a variety to choose from for everyone. Get the BBQ Chicken and a s'more pie for desert and you'll be more than satisfied.

First ate at the one in Chicago and LOVED it! The one in Mason was HOPPING today! That's a good thing. The pizza was good - exactly what I expected. Our friends who hadn't been before also enjoyed the pizza. One, who isn't a fan of sauce, liked the sauce. Score! It was good and quick. My goodness, it was crowded, but very well staffed. Of course it was quick... and delish! I wish it was a little closer to home, but hey... we have one in the Cincinnati area, so I guess I can't complain. There aren't too many of these places around. The Mason restaurant is clean and the outdoor seating is fantastic.

After an initially poor experience at Blaze, for which I wrote a prior review, we were invited back by the owner to give the food another chance. I'm glad we did. The pizza was much better this time around--the crust crispier, the veggies fresher. Much more of what you'd hope for from a place like this. We'll likely be back.

I went to Blaze this weekend while taking my family to Kings Island. This place is fabulous and the food was amazing and cheap. Very kid friendly and numerous toppings to choose from. It felt like I was experiencing an Italian Chipotle restaurant. Fresh ingredients and the BBQ sauce was amazing. I highly recommend this establishment.

Overall this place is pretty cool! The atmosphere is fun and clean, and the service was great too! The concept is different, think pizza + Chipotle. They have a variety of different pizzas, but you can also build your own - so thats always fun. My wife and I went at an odd time and it was still fairly busy. I assume the dinner and lunch crowds are significant, which means they are doing something right. It is relatively cheap too, which I did not expect! We will be back soon I'm sure, I'm looking forward to trying a few other things on the menu.

So this new pizza franchise opened up a few months ago in Mason that my good friend told me about. Currently, there are only 16 of these restaurants in the country but they plan to spread over 1,000 restaurants in the next few years! And I do not doubt that they will. You basically start with a thin dough crust, choose from 4 sauces, and then are able to choose a pizza off their menu, or pay $7 for all the toppings you want! If that's not a good deal, then I don't know what is. The pizza is a good 11" in diameter. They then flash bake it for 180 seconds! Awesome, right?? So I chose the white cream sauce with goat cheese, feta, and a little parmesan. For the toppings, I chose roasted garlic cloves, basil, black olives, bacon, sauteed onions, artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, and arugula! It was absolutely delicious and I ate every last bit of it. For anyone that lives in the Cincinnati area, it is worth it to make a stop here.

Used to go to a Blaze out in Pasadena, CA and was absolutely thrilled they put one here in Mason. The speedy process, the friendly staff, the quality of ingredients and the fact that it is for pizza makes this by far one of my favorite places to eat. I strongly recommend trying it, they have GF options that are tasty! Can't go wrong.

Great concept, good service, lousy ingredients. The selection of ingredients is very good, but most are flavorless and uninspiring. Here is my roadmap for them to get better tasting pizza, starting at the bottom. Crust is way too thin, felt like I was eating a quesadilla. Need to add a basic, Roma tomato mix as sauce choice. Their sauce is too Papa Johnish, sweet and putrid. Lots of cheeses, but missing some Classic Italian like Fontinella and Romano. Little ham discs? What is this, a Lunchable? How about Prosciutto, Capicola, come on...pizza is Italian folks. Red onions are slice so thick they make your eyes water. Red onion on pizzas should be paper thin so it brings out their sweetness. Dry, sliced mushrooms should be replaced with a marinated variety. Also, move garlic spread to the front of the line so it can be rubbed on the crust. Pizza ends up being very bland since ingredients are nothing special. I doubt we would go back, so much potential but just a weird take on pizza

Love the idea and how fast the pizza comes out! My husband and I have very different tastes in pizza so this is perfect for us. Because the pizza cooks so quickly, it's also great for a quick lunch and always seems so fresh. It's not my favorite pizza ever (I am a deep dish girl), but it's pretty awesome for grab and go type of lunch that is fresh and delicious. Love the pizza! What didn't I love? The dessert s'more was rather disappointing for me - I came here a few weeks ago and still remember that. The ratio was a little off between the marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker so it was just too sweet for me, and I didn't like the graham cracker cookie part much either. Perhaps my expectations were too high b/c I'd been craving s'mores...regardless, it totally fell flat for me. Skip the dessert and just load up on the yummy pizza calories.

Great staff. Quick friendly. Pretty good cheap pizza. Good call for something different.

This place continues to be a winner in my book. For $7 I can feed myself & 2 kids a well balanced pizza including fruit & veggies (pineapple & zucchini!). Service is always spectacular, quality of food is top notch, it's fast food with gourmet ingredients & serve.

LOVE IT!!! I am a fan of light toppings and a thinner crust. This is perfect just for that. If you want a thick crust with tons of stuff on top- Blaze is not for you...but I would still recommend it.

Really neat concept. Like a Chipotle or Subway for pizza.. For $6.95 you can "Build Your Own" and you can add any ingredient you want for no additional charge! Pizza was great. I would have preferred that they had cooked mine a little longer. It is a "fast fir'd" concept and the pizza is cooked in 180sec or less. The benefit is that the ingredients on the pizza are still fresh and crisp. The cons are that the cheese wasn't completely melted and the crust wasn't crisp. I would definitely go back, but I would ask them to cook my pizza longer than normal

I have nothing even remotely bad to say about Blaze Pizza. The ingredients are fresh, the staff are friendly and the price can't be beat. As a gluten-free person, I am extremely pleased with the GF crust. Eat here as soon as you can!

  • David E.

It is the chipotle of pizza, a pizza with unlimited topping is only $7.25 and it is delicious!

    (4)
  • Tim S.

Paper thin undercooked floppy dough with raw toppings, poor seating and layout with no privacy, avoid the fad and get your $5 pizza else where

  • Ria D.

Love this place!! The pizza is delicious and I love being able to build my own!! My favorite toppings, which might be an odd combo to some, are the meatball, sautéed onions, pineapple, artichokes and roasted red pepper. YUMMM Adam and the team are so nice! The line always goes quickly so don't be discouraged. They bake the pizza in 180 seconds.

The best way to describe this place is that it's exactly like Chipotle but with pizza. The place is decorated the same way, you walk up to the counter and pick your ingredients the same way and it takes about 6-8 minutes so maybe slightly slower than Chipotle. My only complaint is the music was entirely too loud in here. It was so bad that I took it back to the office to eat because I couldn't stand the noise level.

Building your own pizzas by picking toppings in an order line is becoming quite popular. I like the concept, but the line of customers can be long and slow moving. It's a good thing that it only takes approximately 3 minutes for the pizza to be fired after your order is submitted. The staff is friendly and the decor is humorous. In regards to the pizza, the crust is thin, the portion is adequate for 1 person, and the price is fair. Overall, the pizza is good. I recommend giving this place a try, but keep in mind that during lunch it may take 45 minutes to order and get your pizza.

  • David J.

Great prices, ample 11 inch personal pizzas, great quality ingredients, huge variety of toppings. Definitely "family budget friendly" but w a trendy hip feel. We'll definitely be coming back. I got the Meateater and chose to add some toppings, no problem and no extra cost - $6.95. Hope they open more locations!

Yes, I completely realize this is a pizza place, but the fact they had salads on the menu was the reason why I agreed to go there on Mother's Day. Hubby LOVED his meat-eater pizza and will polish it off for lunch tomorrow. Salads are extremely disappointing. All those fresh and yummy ingredients nearby would make a FABULOUS salad (as I told the guy helping us) if they just had fresh greens to put under it. My little "pre-made, boxed salad" looked sad next to the pretty pizza. They really could easily add a fresh salad option to the line with little extra effort. Hubby will go back, but without me....

I have been very pleased with the pizzas I have gotten from blaze. The ingredient choices are great, the pizzas cook quickly, and the price is right. The only issue you might have is if you choose too many toppings, the crust can get soft near the center. If you stick to 3 or 4 toppings and don't go overboard on the cheeses your crust will benefit. Overall, a great quick pizza place.

  • Todd L.

Love this place for the family. The three kids beg to come here so they can add their own toppings for their pizza. Very reasonably priced and a solid crew of people running this place. Toppings are always fresh and pizzas come out fast (have never waited over 5 min for an order).

  • Grace K.

I went with a group of friends and it was great! We all got our own pizzas and put whatever we wanted on it. It was pretty amazing how quick the pizza was made! The people were super nice! The only thing was that the pizzas were on the salty side but it was still super good! I will definitely come back!

  • Holly S.

Eh. Not very cheesy, but maybe that is compromised by the fast cooking methods used. I had the art lover with spicy tomato sauce which was good.

  • Kristen R.

This place is delicious! The crust is amazingly light, there are so many toppings to choose from, and every time we've gone the staff has been friendly and happy. There are times when we've driving by and it's very crowded, but when we've gone the line hasn't been too bad. I love the outdoor seating option when it's a beautiful day. Sometimes I also get a small side salad and those are good too. One of the best pizza places around.

  • Brittney B.

Absolutely delicious gluten free crust! They do charge 2 more dollars for the crust but still, $9 for unlimited toppings?! That's a steal! Also the staff was so wonderful about my gluten allergy, they ask if it's an allergy or just a preference. Since mine is an allergy they changed gloves, and put the pizza in its own pan to dress and cook. I appreciate that so much! The pizza was so delicious and the service was pretty quick, just watch out about going during peak time (lunch time, dinner) because I hear the wait can be a little long. I hope they open another one here locally!

Please bring Blaze south of Chicago! Our family was in Ohio, on the way back wanted to stop quickly for pizza. YEP we hit the best spot, Blaze. First time there and a little confused, make my own individual pizza? Well if your like me, small appetite, it enough pizza for two! 3 minutes later I was eating the most tasty pizza I've had in many many years!! And twenty bucks fed all four of us. Awesome!

My husband goes here once a week for lunch. He loves it. In fact, he wouldn't stop talking about it for the first few weeks so we went on a weekend. I got the white pizza with random toppings and it was delicious...when it was hot. This is not the pizza where you can eat cold leftovers. The crust is soft and disgusting unless you warm it up in an OVEN. At that point, all is well again. Atmosphere is fine. Nothing special. It really didn't take long but I didn't care for standing RIGHT NEXT to people while they're eating.

All I can say is good food at good prices. I have been eating here about once every other week and it has gotten much faster since opening. A long line would build very easily,. The only negative is that it gets really busy and can take a while sometimes they run out of seating. Otherwise I love the pizza especially the spicy red pizza sauce.

    (4)
  • Shannon J.

An 11" pizza with as many toppings as you want for $7? Yep that works. Love the thin crust too. Good toppings to choose from. Great value and pretty good pizza. Go for the spicy red sauce if you like some heat.

Awesome. Thin crust pizza was perfect. Toppings were fresh and many healthy choices. We will be back with all our kids for sure.

Cheap ($5-7), fast (3 min cook time) with solid pizza (it's not 5 star but very good considering the Chipotle-like format). To my knowledge, this the first true made-to-order pizza at real fast This will be a staple fast food option coast to coast in the near future.

    (4)
  • Jessica H.

Casual dining combined with the made-to-order concept is genius. I am so happy to have found this pizza place. I love non-traditional pizza and when I can build my own with unlimited toppings and combinations I am ecstatic. It's inexpensive, fast, convenient, and delicious. Cannot wait to visit again!!

This place gave me horrible food poisoning. I got one of their specialty pizzas last night and have been sick all day today.

  • Tracey W.

#winning! I really just got a wood-fired, pesto-based pizza with goat cheese, spinach, salame, roasted garlic and arugula for less than $7. I typically pay $25 for the same type of pizza at some of the trendier places in the city. While no full bar and "scene', definitely the place for the casual feel (bring the kids) and quality of the food.

  • Adam B.

I don't know what to say about this place other than perfect. It is simply the Jennifer Lawrence of pizza places and restaurants. It reminds of of the scene in Silver Linings Playbook when Bradley Cooper looks deeply in her eyes and realizes she is the one. The way she stares back at him... It tastes like the feeling I got when I saw the picture of her holding a wine glass. The staff was delightful as well.

  • Will P.

This place is killer! Build your own 10-12"(not really sure) pizza for only $7! This is a great place for a quick, high quality lunch and/or dinner. I got the green strip and it was about as refreshing as pizza can get. I highly recommend.

Came here on opening day for the free pizza! The only problem I had was that I didn't get enough. Each of my family members got something different and they were all good!

  • Jerry C.

Not much of a pizza. Thin and plain is more like it. Was disappointed in the service and how the staff is not really concerned about customer service. They seem confused at times and not knowing that customers are waiting while pizza are piling up to get sliced. I won't be back. Seems like the kind of places are a dime a dozed.

Excellent pizzas and very fast. You can pick whatever you want on any pizza and make it your own favorite gourmet wood fired pizza! I would recommend the spicy sauce and adding salt!

  • A.J. E.

Loved this place. Great variety. Great quality. Friendly and hard working employees. Clean. Organized. And very affordable for the amount and quality of the food. Only downside is it is right next to some other really good food options so if your with someone else it may be tough to get them to pass up the other restaurants.

  • Kevin H.

Concept is unique (think Chipotle). Quality of ingredients is average. Crust is not aged enough so very dense. Brick novenas gas fired so lot a real charred taste like you get with wood or coal. Overall better than chains like Larosas or papa-johns. Still like Marcos better

We got a coupon in the mail for a free 11" pizza so we went to try this new place and I really liked it! I went in at the peak of lunch and even though the line was curved all the way around and reaching the door we only had to wait 10 minutes. The pizzas are thin and the toppings are all precooked so by the time they place all your toppings and you pay, you end up waiting only about a minute for your pizza is ready and out of the oven, AWESOME! First off the pizzas are only 6.95 and the salads range between $3-something and $5-something. So the prizes are really reasonable. Between three people we ordered two specialties pizzas: the meat eater & the red vine with artichokes added, and a salad. The specialty pizzas, which I might add, are not more pricey than just building your own pizza. So you can start with a specialty and then add whatever you want! The two pizzas were really good. Let me repeat, the pizzas are thin! They only have 1 thickness option and the size and thickness of their pizzas remind me of California Pizza Kitchen style pizzas, which is what I really like - crispy crust & less bread! The only critique that I have was that the red vine has olive oil drizzled over it and it was a bit too much. The salads are prepackaged so I got worried at first but the person behind the counter jumped to let me know that all the salads and ingredients in the salad boxes are packaged and prepared at their restaurant on the morning of AND they make all their dressings in store (except for the caesar dressing) - That's what I like to hear! The only off-putting part of my first experience was how they stretch out the dough ball for the base of the pizzas... they use a machine that kind of looks like the tortilla warmer at Chipotle to press out the dough but before they put the dough in they use a can to spray something on the floor of the machine and then spray more on top of the dough so that it'll easily come out, once pressed. What is the spray that they're using? I think it would look a bit classier if they were just brushing on olive oil rather than using a spray. Next time I'm going to ask what the spray is... Anyways, regardless the pizzas & salad were delicious, their prices are great, and we experienced really good fast, service so we'll definitely be back!

I had no idea what this place was until I stepped in. It looked like what others have reviewed as a chipotle version of a pizza place. That goes for just describing the layout. I custom built my own pizza and they say you can put as many toppings as you want. That just made it harder for me to decide. They have pretty much anything you would want. And I got a iced tea and it cost less than $9. This place is a steal as far as what you get. I will be back to visit Blaze, maybe not at this location since I was just in town for business but they have a lot of other locations throughout the United States. Bring them to the east coast!

  • Irina S.

The good was great!! All you can eat toppings for $7 (+$2 for the glutten-free crust). Every topping I had was tasty, the service was great too. Since it just opened it was pretty busy. But the food was worth the wait!!!

Blaze pizza goes above and beyond to help its customers. The general manager was willing to allow me to come in before opening hours to pick up an order for my children's teachers lunch. Amazing service!
