I remember going there as a kid growing up and it was awesome. Went there yesterday....the food was still excellent!!!!! BUT....the service... The server was loud, rude, disrespectful, and literally THREW our checks on our table We waited 35 minutes for a cheese burger, chicken sandwich, and two oders of fries. No desire to go back

This is a great local "old school" restaurant. I've eaten here once before and had a good meal as well. What makes today different you ask? Well I'm so glad you did ask me because I'm going to tell you... I had what could quite possibly be the most perfect omelet I've ever had in my life today!! If you go there to experience it you too will be glad you asked why this visit was different. I ordered the Southern Omelet. It is a 3 egg omelet and is stuffed with fried taters sausage and cheddar cheese. I thought I had been caught up in the rapture like Mayans got the date wrong and the heavens split and angels began to sing oh wait I'm probably being just a bit over dramatic but fried taters sausage cheese and egg combined perfectly into one dish is heavenly!!!! The eggs were done perfectly and were just thick enough to hold the innerds together without being tough. Seasonings throughout were balanced I didn't even need to salt or pepper the omelet. The stuffing ingredients were cooked perfectly and plentiful. They were also piping hot. Too often the filling ingredients are almost an afterthought and not proper temperature. Expert craftmanship the whole way around. Hat off to the chef. The only thing I would do differently next time would be to ask them to add some onion to the stuffing mix. I'm a total onion freak. Our server was very pleasant and efficient as well. The restaurant was very busy and he seemed to handle everything with ease. Overall I would say that if you are withing a reasonable distance or passing by this should be a stop to make.

I had a less then desirable experience at this restaurant after eating some poorly cooked meat and proceeding to get ill. I contacted the owner to discuss the situation where I was informed I was wrong and that I should have pursued making sure my meal was appropriately cooked. I did not realize it was my responsibility to carry a meat thermometer with me to this particular restaurant. The staff was very friendly and service was great but please have caution when the meal arrives.

Great home town diner! Great atmosphere. Great food. Great prices...worth the wait if you go on a weekend.

I live around the corner from Traders, so we eat here quite a bit. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Long hours, unlike some diners which close during the day or are only open for two meals of the day. Food is always good. Good menu. Reasonable prices. Good service. This place is not fast, but it's not slow either. We like to go and chat and pass the time, but it's not necessarily a place to go in a hurry. Just a good old-fashioned diner.
