My work frequently uses Romeo's to cater lunches. Today I notice on the box it says, "The secret is in the sauce" While perhaps just a marketing slogan, there is a lot of truth to that and it rings well with me. In the 90s the prices of tomatoes went up and many places begane to skimp. A pizza with less or inferior sauce can be passable when its hot, but if you use to like re-heated pizza and don't anymore its because they skimp on the sauce and and its all dried out after an hour. (Are you reading this Jane Gote Able? Romeo's sauce is excellent and plentiful.

I wanted to update because they offer the NY White as one of their specialty pizzas and it is the best pizza I've ever had. Romeo's isn't cheap, but they do offer specials, coupons, and have a rewards program. You can now order online for this location. Every employee I've encountered has been wonderful.

The sauce is great! Its a sweeter sauce. My wife and I always order some extra on our pies. I just wish the would put more toppings on the pizza.

For the taste and the price, I would suggest any of the chain joints over this place. It looks like pizza, but the taste is mediocre at best.

They are prompt, professional, and make a quality pizza. I have nothing against them as a business. However, I personally don't like the sweetness of their pizza sauce. I ordered a sausage and cheese pizza and instead of savory meaty goodness it tasted like a cup of sugar with some meat in it. It's too sweet in my opinion. I added onions and peppers to another sausage pizza, but they use red onions (which are naturally sweet) so instead of the bite of a white onion, it was just more sweetness. Someone over there has a massive sweet tooth. :-) I wish they would explore more savory options for folks like me who don't have a sweet tooth.

I am a huge fan of their godfather sub. I like to order it and take it in to my late shift at work. I can eat half and save half for later. I like that there is a ton of meat and cheese on this sub. Not too much bread, although the bread is really fresh and delicious. I feel like I'm in the mob when I eat this sandwich.

Pizza can be pizza, especially with chains. And I am always for the independent pizza places, like Clever Crow or Harvest. In fact, thinking of those two wish I had a pie right now. But I digress. Romeo's will always have a place in my heart because I genuinely think their pizza stands out from the Papa Johns and Dominoes of the world. For me, it comes down to grease and sauce. Their pizza's grease level is less then their competitors, which is to say it still a little greasy. A little grease, especially on a pizza, can be a good thing. What I do like more then the grease, is the sauce. Their sauce is sweet, which IMO works well with a lot of the salty toppings that generally top a pizza. Try them out, but remember to patron the indie places too!
