We initially ordered from Donato's but the wait was way too long, so we cancelled it then ordered Katie's. It was my daughter's first time trying it and she stuffed her face. Literally cheeks full. Fast friendly service and a tasty pepperoni mushroom thin crust pizza.

Greasy, bland, flavorless... is that redundant? A friend of mine ordered from this place on a whim and WOW, what a waste! We got 3 different kinds of pizza and they were all awful. The crust was soggy with grease and the cheese and sauce were both tastless. I watch what I eat and only splurge on pizza and other junk foods on occasion... I feel totally robbed on his 'splurge'! Yuck

Didn't get to order because I couldn't get past the rude man on the other end of the phone. I called with a six pizza order for the next day and was making sure the school it would be delivered to was in their delivery area. I was cut off and asked, in a loud and aggressive tone, "do you want the pizza tomorrow at 11 or not?" When I brought it to his attention that he had no reason to speak to me in that manner, and the only thing I was trying to do is make sure it would be there on time his tone completely changed. Just didn't feel comfortable ordering from the place is all. I used to eat there every week when I went to high school at GLHS, and never had a problem. They are cheaper than most of the other pizza restaurants in the area, but my opinion is spending a couple more dollars for a positive experience is worth it. Just read the other reviews about the bad service.

**The main point is just to GO SOMEPLACE ELSE. We've had a series of issues that just aren't worth the trouble of even ordering.** At Katie's, you can just mention the coupon over the phone. We've been able to do this on numerous occasions (with the 5.00 off coupon). We went here about a month ago and had a 5.00 off coupon from the Gahanna & New Albany magazine, on their full page ad with the menu. It is viewable online, clear as day. The coupon is usually in the Town Money Saver, too. The $5.00 off $20 had brought us in because we can get a pizza, garlic bread, and salad for about $16. It was too snowy to drive to Terita's, so we decided to go here instead. We had ordered a 14" three item pizza, and two antipasto salads. When I got there, I was told the total was $34, which I knew just didn't sound right. I asked her if that was with the coupon, and she said yes. I had to ask the girl to break it down, and she said looked at the computer and said "Oh, I guess it wasn't on, oops". So the total was $29 and got charged $29, which I still thought was high. Later when I went home, I looked at the itemized list and saw the coupon was applied on POS computer and it should have been $22. So we called and they gave us a credit instead of fixing the card. So this week I called only because I had the credit, and mentioned the $5 off coupon over the phone. I got there and they wouldn't apply it to my order because I didn't have the coupon with me. Why would I bring it when I have never had to bring it before? When my boyfriend got home, I was very frustrated with Katie's during the entire meal.. it is interesting how a bad customer service situation effects the taste of your meal. I saw the coupon laying on the counter and called them, and asked if they wanted me to bring it in, and they gave me a $3 credit instead. I really wish they would just edit the card transaction (you know they can, how else are tips entered). I really don't like being given a hassle and I hate that I am forced to order from there again in order to get my $3. No one ever smiles in there. The subs are skimpy, the sauce is bland (get a pan and see for yourself), often hard yellow pieces of lettuce in the salad, the pizza isn't consistently cooked the same, and there are just better places in Gahanna and around town to go to. Their customer service lacks and hopefully when I obtain my $3 credit on my next order, it will be my last time.

I don't give many bad reviews. The place really has to disappoint me for me to not give them the benefit of the doubt. I had issues from the very beginning with trying to order from Katie's. They have no website, so you can't peruse...if you don't know what you want, you're just out of luck. The person that answered the phone was curt and less than helpful. They seemed irritated that I was not a regular and had questions to ask (which consisted of..."Do you offer subs?") The sub turned out just fine, a typical Italian Sub. The pizza was terrible. The crust was completely saturated with grease. My pizza loving teens each took a bite and turned their noses up at it. My boyfriend and I powered through it...only because we'd paid for it and by god we were gonna 'enjoy' it. I think I got through two squares before I threw in the towel. As for the reviews that say that this pizza blows Donato's out of the water...I just can't agree...and I HATE Donato's pizza...with a passion. In fact, that was why we were trying Katie's, to find a pizza that wasn't Donato's that we all like (I'm the only hater). I would rather have Donato's every night of the week than ever eat another pizza from Katie's. The pizza was prompt (45 minutes) but the driver wasn't very friendly, just kind of grunted at me. All of the mechanics of my experience were 4 star, but the end product just left me with a bad taste...pun intended. (The sub is the only thing that brought this up from 1 star to 2 stars)

Just ordered from Katies today for sales team here in my office. First time I ordered from them and was very pleased. We got cheese and sausage & pep pizza. a couple subs, and some salads. Pizza is definitely like donatos but would say the crust is significantly better than donatos. Subs were hot and tons of meat and toppings. Bread was very good as well. Italian salad has nice amount of veggies along with pepperoni. I called around 10:45 for 12:30 delivery and they were right on time with all the items! Fed 12 of us for less than $90 with tip. Can't beat that!

I first tried Katie's because it was so close to my grandmother's condo. I called to place a carry out order, and was turned off by the person who answered the phone. She wasn't rude per se, but she wasn't polite and seemed like she had more important things to be doing. Who knows, maybe they were short staffed and she needed to be firing pizzas, but a little kindness on the phone can go a long way. Update: in my subsequent calls to Katie's (mostly on Sunday nights), the man answering the phone has been polite and helpful. Good service! The delivery guys are always nice and have no problem finding my admittedly confusing apartment. The food is absolutely delicious. Their veggie pizza is amazing. The crust is always thin and crispy and loaded with delicious veggies. It's great hot, cold, and a day old. Their subs are also pretty good. My grandmother is vegetarian, so she orders the Italian salad without the pepperoni. All of their salads are made to order, so it's easy to make substitutions. The price is okay, but I'd take their pizza over any of the national brands any day.

Let me start by saying that I really wanted to like this pizza. I'm sick to death of the usuals near my house so when my husband suggested Katie's I was excited to give it a try. That said, it just wasn't my thing. The crust tasted like Donatos, and the sauce had a smokey flavor that can't usually be found outside of using smoke extract. At first I thought it tasted burnt but realized after closer inspection that it was definitely the sauce. The cheese was extra chewy and they put a lot on. For some people that'd be great, for me not so much. So if you like Donatos, Smoke Flavoring and lots of gooey cheese, give Katie's a try. If you don't, give this place a pass and go for Gahanna Pizza Plus. I doubt you'll regret it.

It's thin like Donato's but the comparisons stop there. It has a much better flavor. And they don't skimp on the toppings. The price is also significanly lower than Donato's. They have pretty good weekend deals, too. Some pizza is good cold, some isn't. Katie's the next day is by far one of the best cold pizzas I've had. Good pizza, good price. Not much else to say. The price is what gives this place a 5th star. I regularly order 5 pizzas when I host a poker game and it costs me less than $50, with delivery. If you want chef boy yardee pizza, go to Pizza Plus like the yelper who gave Katie's 2 *'s suggested. That pizza is gross (but not as bad as Pizza Pan - that's the worst ever.).

I have been eating their pizza for years, I love it. The price is the best. I have to say I really wish they had a website to order from. Over all my family and friends who have tried this was very pleased, so this will stay my favorite!

Not bad. as others have mentioned it's very similar to Donatos but a little better in my opinion. I will confirm the interesting smokey flavor. The service was fine but could use a little more energy. If you're thinking about ordering from Donatos in Gahanna, give Katie's a try.

This is my favorite pizza place to go to. I had friends visiting from out of town. I bought pizza and they fell in love with it. The next night, they went back and got a Pizza as a late night snack. Love it... better than any pizza that I've ever had.

When we travel to visit relatives in Ohio., we always order from Katies. There is something about the pepperoni that is used for Columbus pizzas, it's amazing. It's not what we get here in St. Louis. Katies uses real cheese. We love their pizza and we love their subs.

We ordered Katies pizza, subs, cheesy bread and salad for a labor day / birthday celebration at our home in Gahanna. We placed the large order a day early. They gave me coupon prices without me even having to ask. The correct food arrived on time, hot and ready to eat. We ordered the large catering salad which was especially impressive. For $20, it could have fed 40 people. The lettuce was crisp and cold and the salad was filled with pepperoni, onions, bananna peppers, green peppers and tomatoes. We were all very happy with our Katie's experience

The pizza here is pretty good I would have to say. It's like Donatos. But a better tasting version of Donatos. The sauce taste better. The crust dough is more flavorful. Try it out for yourself.
