People will blow hot air about Keith's Dugout being better than Wilson's Sandwich Shop downtown. To be honest, it was so long since I visited the place on the north end of town, I'd forgotten the taste. I made a stop at the little hamburger stand for the first time in twenty-four years. There is no inside seating, which is unpleasant for February in Findlay. The popular option this time of year is to use the drive-thru. If you would like to eat it there, four picnic tables sit out front of the building. Since it was a little bit of a drive to take it back to the house, I decided to eat it there. I had a lovely view of the Ohio State Highway Patrol barracks across the street and the Keith's Dugout sign (unquestionably crafted by my old junior high art teacher). I can say, without a doubt, the hamburgers are just as good here as they are at Wilson's. It's not superior, but it holds its own. I'm sure there's a connection, because I ordered the exact same thing I do when I'm at Wilson's. It's really cheap, too. A cheeseburger with fries and a small malt is $4.10. I'll take that, most definitely. Overall, it's a great hamburger stand. The only reason it's four stars instead of five is the lack of seating inside the place. Other than that, the residents on the north side of town have a real hidden gem on their hands.
