Definitely will not be returning. We went to Jell's on a Friday night and we were seated right away. The place was busy but not so busy that we should have been ignored for as long as we were. We got drinks and then a waitress never came to take our order. In fact, on multiple occasions, the waitress came near us and dealt with people at the surrounding tables and completely ignored us. We couldn't get her attention to place our order - she was too busy chatting it up with the regulars. We wound up walking out after she looked directly at us, failed to respond to our attempt to get her attention, and walked away from our table for the 5th time. It was ridiculous. Terrible service.

Delicious!! Great little bar! We are new to the area and you can tell many locals frequent the bar! We are making our way to 'local' status! The grilled tenderloin is my favorite!! Jalapeño poppers are a must!

Jell's is definitely one of the best bars for food. Great service too! Bruschetta burger and jalapeño poppers are the bomb.

Passing through Eaton, and glad we stopped here @ this little hole in the wall sports bar ("Great Eatin' in Eaton" is their slogan....heh!) It was close to 2 in the afternoon and we pretty much had the place to ourselves (Ohio people really eat right on schedule, hmmm!!??!!) so didn't fight crowds or anything like that. I love surprises, and NEVER would have imagined the great bar food PLUS menu-- GREAT sandwich choices, burgers looked AMAZING, and my cobb salad was FRESH (not from a bag, nor just a pile of sad iceburg lettuce...) and served with HOMEMADE dressing--- In a sports bar?!? Plenty of great brews on tap, and no rush to eat and run... Once again, proof that there are PLENTY of great choices outside of the chains!!

Eat'n in Eaton? Try out Jell's, Heading to Dayton from Indy and decided to take the back roads. Pulled to the side of the road and asked a local, "Where do you eat" He points over his shoulder, "Jell's" Jills is simple little tavern where you can enjoy the local dialect (yes you do speak different in OH :) ) . The owner suggested the Pollock Fish sandwich. OK, I had cod, catfish, what is Pollock? Well let me tell you, it was great. I also tried some OH beer from the Great Lakes Brewing Co. YUM. Advice, get off the Freeway and try out Jell's

For dining in Eaton, Jell's is probably the best option. The burgers and sandwiches are good. On a busy night, seating can get quite tight and the noise can become a bit annoying. If you are looking for a casual meal with a bar type atmosphere, Jell's does a great job.

The restaurant is excellent, the staff is friendly and the food is great. The best thing here is the prime rib sandwich, which is served every Saturday. Excellent prime rib, killer au jus, and fresh fried krinkle kut fries. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Jell's is probably the best place to eat in the entire Preble County area. The owner did a fantastic job of rehabbing the building, and being a former manager for a chain restaurant, she really did a nice job of creating solid systems - which ensures her quality. And that's hard to do with such a difficult (NARROW!) floor plan to work with. It's mostly local folks who go here, but being right on St Rt. 35, it's really accessible - although it's almost only street parking unless you sneak into the courthouse lot behind the place after hours. Nobody's really watching. She's got great daily specials and I've never really had a bad meal. She knows her market and meets the expectations pretty well. You're not going to sell nouveau cuisine in Eaton, Ohio. The menu is American Grill fare, and I have really never gotten anything bad here. Anytime an order ever got messed up, they made it right. The bar is smack dab in the middle of the place, and with all the TV's, it can get kind of loud, so it's not really an intimate setting - especially with locals waving and talking across tables to friends. Don't get me wrong, that's a great thing about a small town, but it's loud and echoing. Fun place to go, and if you're driving through Eaton, I highly recommend the stop. If you live in Eaton, you've probably already been there.

This place is pretty good, I didn't expect a whole lot based on its location - but its really nice inside. Several TVs, service is good, seating is limited. Might be hard to get a seat on Friday/Saturday night. Parking can also be hard, but there is plenty of street parking, you just might have to walk a little bit.
