Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

My favorite pizza in town...ESP on Monday when it's B1G1 free. The wheat crust is just thick enough to hold all the delicious toppings. I normally get the Mediterranean with a pesto sauce and chicken.... Wow it's completely different from the other pizzas I've had.

For those who really fail to understand why people keep calling Milano's the best pizza in town, this place is for you. Pizza factory and South Park Pizza tavern right down the road are owned by the same guy, and serve the same pizza. The difference is that Pizza factory is the take out and delivery location for the popular South Park Tavern. Pizza Factory pizza is unique because of the crust, it is not deep dish by any standards, but it is not a thin, crispy crust, close to New York style but there is still some strength to the crust. They have both a regular and wheat crust, both of which are outstanding. and full of flavor The prices here are very reasonable for the quality of food that you get. The Small 9inch Pizza starts at 7.95 for a wide range of "traditional pizzas" and go up to 18.95 for a very generously sized 16 inch pizza The prices are considerably cheaper if you just go the traditional cheese route which start at 5 dollars and go up to 12. with a charge for additional toppings. The gourmet pizzas are where it is at. The Gyro pizza is spot on the money, with amazing tender lamb or chicken gryo meat, sauce, and topped with feta cheese, and sliced tomatoes. Other Personal favorites here are the Cheeseburger pizza which sounds very strange but is well worth trying at least once. All pizzas can be made in to a calzone. Traditional sides of Sandwiches, salads, bread sticks are also offered. Pizza factory also offers toasted foccica cheese bread a small portion for 2 bucks, is the best deal in town. The service is great, the wait time is minimal. On Mondays they have a buy one get one free for take out only, which is an amazing deal. If you want some more atmosphere, walk a few blocks up, and enjoy time at the sit down restaurant, South Park Tavern. In the end if you want the best pizza in town, that is a good price, and something different, you know where to go

I love pizza factory! I've ordered from them for years and they have super fast delivery in the downtown area. I normally get the pesto pizza, but i've heard the incredible factory special is good too for those of you who enjoy meat.

Quite frankly, the best pizza I've had in Dayton. Their buy 1 get 1 deal on Monday (pick up only) is a great deal. We've had it delivered a few times and it's always at our door in under 30 minutes. This isn't a dine in restaurant. It's delivery and carry out only. This is our pizza joint.

I think PF is the best anywhere. If you go to South Park Tavern you can enjoy a great craft beer and a PF pizza at one place. A variety of pizzas are available on the menu for any taste. More expensive than the chains but there is NO comparison.

Definitely the best pizza in town. A bit more pricey, but worth it. If you're one of the folks who can't understand how a bland pizza from Marions can be considered the best in town, then you need to try this place. For an added treat order from the South Park Tavern and enjoy your pie with some of the 18 craft beers on tap.

If you like chain pizza this isn't the place- with wild gourmet pizza's that you can't get anywhere else. Want a secret- order the Cheeseburger pizza (complete with pickles- but ask for the catsup and mustard sauce- it's way better than it sounds)- also try the Reuben, with caraway seeds on the crust, the Pesto- which may be my all time favorite vegetarian pizza, the chicken cordon bleu or the seafood blanc (note- the last two are heart attack on a plate- but, oh, so good). The Factory special is a more conventional pizza that always wins over a crowd- and the Classic italian is amazing- and you can get it without sausage for a really great vegetarian white pizza. We get pizza from them for our veterans business group- and the guys all think it's awesome. It's carryout or delivery only- and on monday it's 2 for one carryout. However, the South Park Tavern is two blocks South on Wayne- and has the same pizza menu- owned by the same guy. There was too much confusion with both places having the same name. So- if you want to eat in- 1301 Wayne.

I went here because of the Yelp ratings but I wish I read the reviews more carefully. Didn't know that I could eat in at the Tavern so instead I had to take it back to the hotel. Food was good but I really really wish I could have had my pizza while it was hot. Ordered the spinach and tomato pizza and it was simple but pretty good. My guess is that it would be that much better if it was served immediately out of the oven. I hate to say the side items I got were better than the pizza though. The wings, drenched in buffalo sauce and butter, mostly screamed "heart attack" in unison, but they were amazing. The fries were the most surprising - they were soft and had a smokey flavor. Not what you'd expect from a pizza place but it really worked for me. I'd love to come back and try the Pesto and the Seafood pizzas someday.

Pizza Factory is pretty good, not fantastic but definitely a solid option when you're sick of the other stuff you might usually get. If this is your usual, then good for you. You're supporting a quality local pizza joint. A bit on the pricey side for me, but worth the small splurge. They have a good variety of specialty pizzas, delivery and carryout only. They opened a restaurant but it didn't last too terribly long. I'm guilty in that I didn't stop by and eat there, looked like a cool place with some good drinks as well.

  • Lieneke K.

I love, love this place. The Reuben pizza, the Cajun pizza, the seafood blanc pizza.....oh my! The sad part is we moved 3 exits east down 35 and they won't deliver. Tried bribery on the phone or at least doubling delivery fees, but no go.....damn it Sour park is awesome with their bier choices but too pricey when we eat in and order way too many pizzas and drink way too many biers. Please consider expanding ur delivery area and/or charging more for that delivery. I used to call a minimum of 2x per week now I'm lucky to eat ur amazing pizza (and foccatia) once a month

The Pizza Factory is the best--great pizza and a wonderful staff. The menu is huge and it's all great.

  • Stephanie H.

I was a regular on Mondays because the pizza is buy one and receive a free one which was worth my money, lately they have gotten really slim on the toppings and extra cheese and now 15.95, no longer seems like a deal. I will not be back, it is happening too many times, and the ultra pepperoni is skimpy and they keep charging me for extra cheese and not giving it to me. Too bad, but it was good while it lasted .

  • Todd P.

Ok, in their defense, I ate this pizza after it was delivered (30 minutes). But, with that said I honestly did not like this pizza. I felt like they are trying to duplicate Donato's crust? And if so...stop! You are no where close. The pizza seems generic and worn.

  • Melissa G.

This place is great! I have had sandwiches as well as the pizza. They are phenomenal! Just wished they delivered to me. :)

Here I am again. Eating pizza factory for the third time in less than 4 days. Saturday I went grocery shopping and spent a couple Benjamins. Thought process was to save money by not eating out. However, Dayton Pizza Factory ruined that plan...for the better. It is a New York style pizza. A thin crust cut pie style, not squares. Savory sauce, flavorful not burnt pepperoni, perfectly melted cheese. Always arrives too hot to eat indicating the pizza went from oven to my door.

  • Nadine S.

The Rheuben pizza was probably the best cheese pizza I've ever had. Granted Ive neever eaten a Rheuben pizza . The crust was flakey, light and crunchy. The pesto pizzaz had a flavorful sauce was and you definitely must like pesto.

Even though the sandwiches I tried previously were sucky (I do not recommend), the pizza was better. Was it exemplary? No. It was good though and that is why I gave them another star.. I tried the cheeseburger gourmet pizza. It really tasted like a cheeseburger. Nice. And since I ordered on Monday for BOGO, I got a second large pizza. Essentially, it was $10 per pizza. On the 2nd pizza, the toppings were meatballs, pepperoni and sun dried tomatoes. The sauce is ok, better than Joe's Pizzeria, which is bland to me. But Pizza Factory's pizza sauce was not significantly better. The cost per item is $2 and the number of pieces of topping per item is low. There were hardly any sun dried tomatoes - I almost forgot I ordered them! So, I would definitely say that the cost of 1 pizza (on any other day) is not worth what you get; they are chintzy with toppings. But, the BOGO makes it a better value. Right now, people are encouraged to vote for the best pizza (according to Dayton Business Journal). This article and the Pizza Factory's home page are confusing as the article date is in April 2015. Anyway, who would I vote for...perhaps Pizza Factory, but not because it is overwhelmingly better. My search for a great pizza in Dayton continues. Caio!

This place is the pinnacle of pizza perfection! Very original, unique pizzas that are violently delicious. Friendly service, and when you walk in you can see em twirling dough and makin' the pies right before your eyes. Mondays are buy one get one free! And they deliver booze!

  • Jill D.

Love this place! Gourmet and traditional pies get the Factory touch to give them a premium taste. We've tried them all, but my faves are the Deluxe, Fresh Veggie and Seafood Blanc (as a reward for working out all week!). On top of great food, the owner supports the community where he does business. It's a great feeling to be thanked for your neighborhood volunteerism with Pizza Factory pizza. It's a bonus when the people who run your favorite joints are good folks to boot.

  • David W.

The most original pizzas in Dayton. Hardly a week goes by without a Buffalo Bacon Ranch pizza in our office. Other great options- the Classic Italian (which can be made as an amazing vegetarian option if you leave off the sausage- or swap it for artichoke hearts). The Reuben, Mediterranean, the Pesto Pizzaz are also awesome. Sandwiches and salads are also great. My favorite calzone is the Classic Italian- but ask for an extra dipping sauce. If you want to sit down- go to the South Park Tavern 2 blocks up- same pizza, plus craft beers. They also deliver beer with $10 food orders and ID

I hadn't had Pizza Factory in quite some time, but it was even better than I remember. Friendly guy who answered the phone, friendly and quick deliver person, and tasty pizza. I will be ordering again for sure.

Good food and extremely fast delivery. Told me 30 minutes for delivery and it was more like 20 minutes.

This is my "I don't know what I want because I'm probably hungover" go-to. Never disappointed. Loveeee the Mediterranean pizza. So many unique menu choices and pizza toppings that it's sure to please everyone. I never get bored of it. I always order a chefs or garden salad with my pizza. So well put together it's like art with fresh veggies and mushrooms yum. It's your lucky day if a strapping lad named BP (Brian) happens to be delivering. Lots of Stewarts flavors to choose from (even diet root beer!).

Got the Mediterranean, Buffalo, and Gyro PIZZA. My goodness, everything was exceptional. We will be coming back PLENTY.

I've ordered pizza from here for years and have always loved it! The company I work for provides pizza every Friday for the employees and I am in charge of ordering. This past Friday I ordered from Pizza Factory. I ordered 6 large pizzas and they gave us a 7th for free and good thing because all 7 were gone! Usually 6 pizzas aren't eaten! I ordered the Seafood, Buffalo, Sausage, Pepperoni, Veggie and Meat, they gave us a Reuben. All of the pizzas were delicious! My favorite part (because weekly I deal with complainers) were the cards that tell you what the pizza is that you get with a large order. Everyone was impressed with the salad too! Pizza Factory will definitely be in our regular pizza rotation! Thank you guys for doing such a great job, I appreciate it, it helps make my job easier.

Easily the best pizza in Dayton. I like pizza with unique toppings, and every one of their specialty pizzas I've had has been amazing. They also will do half and half pizzas as long as the sauce matches. Everything tastes fresh, and there are plenty of topping options. The mediterranean is awesome, and the cucumber-based sauce is a really nice changeup from the norm.
