Pizza was amazing! New to the area and since I'm living out of a hotel for a few more days, pizza is quite convenient. After seeing the reviews, I tried it and was extremely pleased. I got half pepperoni and half supreme-- boom! Get this pizza. You won't regret it.

By far my favorite pizza in the dayton area, we would normally order for carry out and pick it up, now we have moved so don't eat there as often as we would like but dine in now anytime we have the chance to get over there. Very friendly employees as well.

I grew up on this pizza! I have been eating Joe's Pizza for the past 38 years. I love this place. Best pepperonis in the business! Fast service--friendly staff--best pizza in dayton!

Good pizza, but not anything like chitown, ny, la or naples italy. Joe's pizza is a unique, local family style pizza. I ordered half pepperoni, half italian sausage and mushrooms. The pepperoni side was loaded and tasty. The pepperoni was the small type and crispy. The sausage side was light on sausage and bland. You could tell how the sauce does not have much seasoning and that the pepperoni on the other side was really what provided all the seasoning. I was also told that the thin crust was crispy...not really. It was chewy. But, I put it on the grill for 2 minutes and it crisped right up! Every bite had a nice little bit of crunch, which really made all the difference. Not every pizza dough does this well. (I would not order this pizza well done if you are taking it home and reheating on the grill and crisping it up.) And...the staff was fast & friendly and the price was average so you won't break the bank. Yes I would order again, but probably with extra cheese. Caio!

This is an establishment that has withstood the test of time, with its top notch service and quality piazza. I remember this as far back as my childhood and it is still the same even today as I eat here with my mother and wife and children on my 29th birthday. Thank you for all the memories past and future.

My absolute favorite pizza, period. I grew up eating this pizza when I would go to my grandparent's house for the weekend. It was our Saturday night treat. The toppings are amazing. The only place I will eat a deluxe style pizza. :-)

Excellent example of Dayton style pizza. Great sauce, excellent crispy crust and good toppings. Absolutely one of the best.

Just had Joe's for the first time tonight and I have been missing out. Salads are super cheap and fresh. Pizza is delicious! They use mini pepperonis that are cooked to a crisp, I will definitely be coming back!

Being a from a family of Dayton natives, Joe's is something I was raised on. Now in my twenties and living in New York, I make sure to return to Joe's every time I am home. The interior hasn't changed at all in the last ten years - and neither has the friendly, down-to-earth staff and AMAZING pizza. They use tiny pepperoni that bakes well in addition to top-notch dough and toppings. Even during lunch hours during the week (busiest time at Joe's), the order never take long - honestly even it it did it would be worth it. It's rare that family owned and operated restaurants last this long and once visit you'll understand why. Making Dayton proud!

Pizza is pretty good, have the standard pep, sausage, etc options, nothing too special. Expect to pay about $7 for a small (9") pizza. Wouldn't go far as to say "best" pizza in Dayton.

I have been coming here for 40 years. Their deluxe pizza is the best I've ever had. Always consistent - always good - I give them a five-star rating.

Like seriously, if you don't eat here you're dumb. I've been all over this big wide world in the military eating pizza. Best I've ever had, screw NYC, Chicago, and Italy. Thank you for your pepperoni, thank you for your sausage.... I love you

The service is unbelievably slow and terrible. The pizza is edible, but it's not pizza. It's worse than chain pizza. You're better off ordering from Dominos or Papa Johns. The sandwiches are a total joke. I ordered a sausage sandwich and instead of an actual sausage they gave me sausage patties with something akin to spaghetti sauce dripped onto it in a generic roll with nothing else. It was a joke that I paid about $6 for.

Lunch Nov 24 How can this place continue to pop out great pizza after great pizza! No matter what time of day or what I order - it remains the best pizza I have ever had! Consistency to the MAX - Taste to the MOON!

I've lived in Dayton for most of my life and had never tried Joe's, it's pretty danged good! Now, this isn't gourmet goat cheese, spinach, and feta kinda of pizza, this is just old school good pizza done right! The first infication that this place is good is that parking lots is full, you pretty much have to wait for someone to leave to get a spot. The inside probably hasn't been updated in 30 years, cheap wood paneling everywhere, vinyl covered seats, and it's pretty cramped to pick up the pies. You see lots of people working in a tiny little kitchen, it looks like a well oiled machine with the pizzas coming out of the oven and one lady chopping then into squares and then yelling the names for pickup, nothing fancy here at all, just good! The crust is done just right, not too thick not too thin but cracker crunchy with a little softness on the top, lots of cheese and toppings, little pepperonis all over the pizza and they're cooked so that they're a little crispy. If you haven't checked out Joe's pizza yet and have been living under a rock like apparently I have, put them on your list to check out!

I was very excited to try Joe's Pizza because friends had said it was the best and reviews online were pretty good. I was sorely disappointed. If that's what Dayton Calls best pizza you guys need to get out more. The small or thin crust wasn't the problem but over cooked, crispy and burned pepperoni was the problem. And the sauce was nothing special. I'm sorry fellow yelpers you need to get out more if this is what you call the best. I like Dewey's down near Brown street if your looking for good pizza in Dayton.

Joe's is the best pizza I have ever had. It may be that I have grown up on it, but Chicago and New York style pizza just don't do it for me. Thin crust, cut into squares is Dayton style Pizza and Joe's does it the best. My personal favorite is the pepperoni, sausage, onion pizza pie, so try it. They also offer subs, which are excellent as well, but generally if I don't get the pizza, I get the spaghetti dinner with a large order of garlic bread on the side. And let me tell you, there garlic bread is mouth-watering. If you're new to town or have never tried a Joe's pie, do yourself a favor and stop in.

"Yep. This place pretty much rules. No frills. Hubby and I were determined to break out of the pizza rut and try something new. Yelpers were right - Joe's is great and worth the drive. Don't bother getting a large - go jumbo!"

I don't know about the best pizza in Dayton but this is pretty good pizza. I love their sauce and the toppings are pretty fresh. The only thing I really dislike is the boxes for to go are a joke. The place was super busy and for good reason. The customer service was very good as well. Go try this place.

Discovered Joes's about 3 years ago after passing by it for years. Can't put my finger on it, but this is the best pizza (in my opinion) in the Dayton area. This is the only pizza that I will eat.

It's a dinky looking little local place that I probably wouldn't have considered if it weren't for the urging of people from around here. I'm glad I took their advice. It has quickly become my favorite local pizza place. The crust and sauce is great.

I've been eating Joes pizza for years. It's the best. Reasonable prices but they don't have coupons or discounts. If you plan on going on a Friday night expect a one or two hour wait, but it's worth it.

Joe's pizza is amazing! It's my second favorite pizza and I've tried a lot of pizza places! Joe's Pizza is a little mom & pop pizza joint that isn't much to look at but their pizza tastes great. It's an Ohio style pizza, which means a thin crust with a slightly sweeter sauce. If you live in Dayton or even just visiting, I would recommend giving it a try. My favorite is their pepperoni with extra cheese and sauce. You can't go wrong with the classics.

I lived in Dayton almost my entire life, and as far as I know, Joe's Pizzeria is the best in town. It's not as good as it used to be. They went out and bought a crappy convection oven because "they couldn't get parts for the old one anymore" and they changed pepperoni. When I was kid, they had these tiny pepperoni that they always put on last. The edges would curl up and get crispy and pool the grease in the middle. Still, think it's the best pizza in town. The sausage is great. Order your pizza "well done" so it's crispy though. Also, when they're really busy on weekends, they often will forget to save a place on the conveyor belt to put your pie back in, so check to make sure it's well done before leaving.
