Me and my boyfriend came here for the first time. I had always heard about how good this place was! We ended up getting shakes and some sandwiches. Their shakes are so good! And their food taste similar to fair food. I'll definitely be back for more!

We love Tony's Coneys!!! They always have great deals on their amazing coney dogs, and they're open year round!! We also love their milkshakes! Thick and creamy!! Peanut butter is the best!! Sometimes it's a long wait, especially in the drive thru, but it's well worth it!!

I get the same darn thing every time: Burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and lite mayo; side of corn nuggets, and small mint chocolate chip milkshake. The burgers are always grilled hot and fresh. What are corn nuggets? you ask. Cream of corn balls lightly deep fried and hot - yum. They have a LARGE selection of milkshakes, malts, and sundaes - to each their own! I frequent here if I'm on the west side of town visiting my niece. Good food!!

Had lunch here today. I had a simple vanilla shake, which was delicious. I also tried the coneys and the fried pepper cheese. I added in the sport peppers on my coneys, and I thought those were pretty great altogether. The cheese balls weren't that special to me, but one of my friends let me tried his fried mac n cheese, and that was super tasty.

Coney are awesome! Been hearin about this place since I've been in Columbus and mad this is my first time trying it in 4 years. Might actually be a good thing because I would have been here every weekend. I got 2 "fully loaded" coneys, topped with cheese, coney sauce and cole slaw. The buns are soft and the amount of toppings are perfect. I added mustard because no hot dog/coney can be eaten without mustard. Also got a banana and chocolate milkshake. Full bits of banana in the milkshake and it is the perfect consistency. Straws are extra thick as well so that those bits never clog up the straw. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a quick, cheap and very delicious meal!

I have been here a few times but only for the Pineapple milkshakes. Mine always has great flavor and just the right thickness. They are the best. I get the large at a great price. Looking at the menu everything seems to be reasonably priced. They even give you an actual milkshake straw, which is bigger than a normal straw, so you aren't sucking your eyeballs out trying to get a sip. I attempted to venture beyond the realm of the milkshake one day and get a coney as well, BUT.... they don't have beef hotdogs. I don't eat pork so that kinda sucked for me. How does a place that specializes in coney's not have beef hotdogs??? Oh well, off with my shake I go. Check this place out though for real.

Great ice cream, awesome customer service, and some great food. I enjoyed the subs they make here, but the burgers are not that great. Possibly I got a bad one out of the bunch???? I just can't wait for the pumpkin ice cream to come back in! Give it a try!!

I stopped here today with my sister and niece for a slushy. I got a Watermelon flavor one and it was good. I decided to try some food and boy I'm glad I did. I got the Coney Special 5 for $6.25 and an order of Fried Mushrooms. Those coneys were so good. I wanted to eat them all but I wouldn't feel good about myself if I did. The fried mushrooms actually had flavor and they also gave me a side of ranch, most places don't. The prices are so reasonable. I had to do a double take. I'm coming back for sure with the rest of my family. The menu has some very appealing items but I will always make sure to get those coneys in addition. Very friendly staff and the drive thru moved fairly fast. They also have soft serve ice cream, which I love. I've lived in this area for years why have I not tried them before? A slice of heaven I say.

I love eating here. Great food for cheap. The milkshakes are literally the best. No lie. Again cheap. Pork tenderloin and peanut butter cup milkshake.....that's where it's at!! :)

I really like this little family run place on the west side. It had been a long time since I visited here but I stopped in for a milkshake the other day. $2.25 for a medium shake that is the size of a large at other places, great deal. I really enjoyed this place. I got a Banana and Choc. Milkshake which had real bananas in the shake. I love real fruit in a shake, this place knows how to make them. The place is a nice little place with Hershey's ice cream and a lot of homemade food. The coney's aren't too bad either. They also have great prices on all of the food. They have great value for the price. The service is great as they treat you special and give you the proper attention a customer deserves. i would try this place out.

I will go well out of my way anytime I'm on the Westside to make a stop at Tony's Coneys. Huge fan of "The Works" coneys with a peanut butter banana shake. The frosty top root beer floats are also fantastic. The prices and service are great as well.

Not as good as proclaimed. I went there a while back, thinking my coney place isnt open today lets try these guys, yuck, waste of money and time. No i know food from different places tastes different, so knowing that i opened my mind so i wouldnt expect the coney i wanted. So i get this coney, keep in mind im starved. I take the first bite and overwhelming onions, bland tasting coney sauce, heavy mustard flavor. I honestly felt like i was eating a regular hot dog with heavy mustard, med onions and to specs of hamburger on it. Im the type where even if its not the best tasting i will finish it if im hungry i could barely eat one dog let alone the two i got. Would i go back? Nope! The flavor chances are, is still the same, and if i wanted nothing spectacular for a coney i would heat some walmart chili, hotdog, buns and make my own coneys.

My "go to"place for lunch. Friendly staff, good coneys and they serve Pepsi products.

Ok, I'm a west-sider so I may be biased, but the reality is that this is the coney against which I measure all other coneys on flavor and value. Really. Pros: long-standing family-run west side tradition with drive-thru, walk-up and dine-in options. I always get the 2 coney, chips and shake special for $4.75 out the door. Cons: drive thru is a little slow compared to mainstream fast food options, so I usually go inside.

This place was not too good. The onions on the coneys were not fresh. The onion rings were cooked way too dark and the hot dogs are small. I didn't try any ice cream or shakes.

I grew up eating Tony's Coneys - it is the only place to go for a great coney!

I came over for lunch today and had a couple of hot dogs and a malt. The malt was okay but the hot dogs weren't so good. They were pencil-thin and the outside was on the grayish side. There are LOTS of better places to get hot dogs, folks.

I liked it better when it was down the street, but I was a young child there and loved riding my bike there everyday. Brings back memories still going there. I love their coneys even though the dogs are normal small old school hotdogs. The milkshakes are great the prices are reasonable. A New Rome/Galloway staple for a long time. It worth trying out. See what you think.

Love this place!!!!! Great variety of creamy ice cream and delicious coneys! I love the atmosphere and that it is a small family owned place. Support this great business!

Super helpful and friendly employees. The place is a bit if a dive but doesn't appear to be at all unclean. I had the coney with the works. The slaw and chili were good but the dog itself was your typical store bought wiener. One might expect a little more in terms of the dog itself given that the place has coney in the name. I also had the cheeseburger. It was a great size and the beef, though slightly dry, was better than any of the local fast food joints. I finished off with a Buckeye Sunday which was a little heavy on the toppings and a little thin on the ice cream, but I am a sucker for Reece's do I was very happy with it. All around a perfectly good meal for the price and I will likely eat there again.

If you want a coney in Columbus, Ohio this is the place to go.... Not only are the coneys top shelf but the milkshakes are amazing. This hot spot has a great old fashioned hot dog feel and good service to boot. The staff is friendly attractive and happy to serve... This is a hidden southwest side gem!

While the coneys are delicious, the real gem of this place is the milk shakes. Hands down, the best milkshakes I've ever had. The rest of the food isn't bad, but it isn't anything to write home about. Its clearly a mom and pop establishment, which feels good and comes across well in their dining area. Service is always friendly, but beware they get pounded pretty hard around lunch time so be ready to wait if you don't get in ahead of the curve.

This place is fantastic. They have a lot of odds and ends, most of which seem to be pretty fair in quality and certainly agreeable in price. Although i'm not a coney connoisseur, the coneys themselves are quite delicious and never fail to hit the spot. Like others have said, though, you absolutely must try to milkshakes here. I've never found better. Staff is always quite pleasant, and service is usually prompt.

Seriously, this place is awesome. Stuck in a time when U.S. Route 40 (known locally as "Broad Street") was America's National Road. Fried bologna, shredded beef or pork BBQ sandwiches, rootbeer on tap. If you're not yet salivating, I can't help you.

I have been eating @ tonys coneys 4 40 yrs. I love their coneys. I also get the chocolate malt. It's always good every time!

I have been here many times because the milkshakes are THEE best. The food is typical coney food and nothing to rave about, but that's not what I come here for... The prices are pretty cheap seeing as the sizes are huge. You definitely get your money's worth here. The staff is always friendly and although the wait is typically a bit longer, that's to be expected for quality. Try a large strawberry banana shake. It's a week changer!

We headed to Tony's Coneys on a hot day in search of some decent ice-cream. Tony's used to be a few buildings down the road eventually, but they've moved in this old.... House.. commercial property thing. Try mentioning the old location to one of the teenage workers there.. they'll give you some 'deer-in-headlights' look, and then you will feel instantly old. They have a drive thru, outside walkup window, and indoor ordering counter. There were plenty of patrons giving them business on this extra hot day, the patio seating was pretty much packed out. Tony's offers a lot more than just ice-cream. They also have well.. Coneys, chicken fingers, burgers and other hot items that would probably make for a good lunch. This place reminds me of a small place down in Circleville called 'Shopes', which I think USED to be a Tony's Coneys before that. Same décor, and same setup. The whole fire place in the dining area is a little bizarre. Pretty sure I could have bricked that in, or tried to hide it. It's pretty much an eyesore for the dining area, but then again... The whole place isn't really shaped around ambiance to begin with. Anyways, the ice cream was very dismal. I think their machine was literally having a meltdown, because our ice cream was just that. It was pretty much some soupey and milky mess mixed with some candy in a cup, and this is literally seconds after it being handed to us. Very disappointing. I would give them another try possibly in the future, but this trip was not on the better side.

This is a fantastic little place hidden on the west side. It's probably not so hidden for the people who have gone here for over 30 years, but it's certainly new to me! What drew me to Tony's Coneys was the mention of soft serve ice cream. I'm such a sucker for good soft serve, and hardly anywhere in town does it well. Tony's Coneys specializes in (you guessed it) coneys! They also do everything you'd expect from a short order place--burgers, fries, etc. And they're equally known for their desserts. They carry Hershey's scoops, but I'm not sure why you'd get that when they have old fashioned soft serve--in vanilla and chocolate! The food is great for what it is--delicious, greasy goodness. If that's what you're in the mood for, you won't be disappointed. It's not something you'd want to eat every day, but it certainly does the trick. And the ice cream? Perfect. Exactly what I wanted. Please don't go here expecting Jeni's--that's not what this is about. The people working at Tony's are also spectacular. They are always extremely sweet and helpful. You won't be disappointed with the prices either... they're pretty darn cheap!
