I've been to Oliver's a good number of times for lunch since I working the area. The atmosphere is that of a trendy sports bar. It's fairly dark inside with nice dark wood tables. The only thing that really makes it a sports bar is that it has plenty of TVs to watch sports in the middle of the day. My experiences here have been very inconsistent. Sometimes I have no issues with the service and everything comes out in a reasonable time. On my most recent visit, I was told there were no open table so I sat at the bar. I clearly saw an open two seat high top once I sat on a bar stool and no one came to table the entire time I was there. Once at the bar it took no less than ten minutes for someone to make their way down to my end of the bar and that was only after another customer pointed out that I hadn't been helped. They were very apologetic but I have to say that I've had other experiences where service is incredibly slow here. As for the food, nine times out of ten I'd give it four stars. There are a number of items on the menu that I really like including the Ahi Tuna burger and the chipotle chicken salad. Most of the time they nail these. The tuna is perfectly medium rare and the pretzel bun is a great salty compliment. But every now and then, the Ahi Tuna burger will be a little too tough and hard to bite into or the tuna will be too moist on the outside and make the bun soggy. The regular burgers are bit more consistent but can also be a bit sloppy. I'd be remiss if I didn't note the mac and cheese as a side option. It's creamy and topped with a mound of shredded cheese. If you are not worried about calories or falling asleep at work in the afternoon, go for a burger and mac and cheese at Oliver's. Update: I've continued coming here and my experience has only gotten better. I still go for the Ahi Tuna most times and it's now constantly good. The service is also faster and is very friendly. I've been coming enough that they recognize me now, and that is always appreciated.

We have been waiting for quite awhile waiting for our food. We have finished our glasses of wine and are now just sitting waiting. Hopefully the food comes soon as our tickets for the John Oliver show at the Palace are at 8. It's not looking good for a timely arrival. Which is unfortunate because I had started out liking the ambiance of this place. It has an old time antique but still trendy look and feel to it. Their are several to touches decor-wise that literally look like Thomas Edison or someone of his ilk designed it. Which =freaking sweet. I would comment on the food but we are still waiting... Waiting... Waitinnngggggg.....

Great place for lunch downtown. They get you in and out pretty quick. I ordered the black bean burger with french fries. My friends orderd the club sandwich with sweet potato fries. We all agreed that we needed to eat them with a fork...the sandwiches were big, messy but very good!! It was nice to hear Led Zeppelin playing in the background. :) I would love to visit in the evening and sit on the patio. I liked how close it was to my work and it was off the beaten path near Pearl Alley...I will be back. :)

Hands down, the best macaroni and cheese ever!! This is the perfect laid back environment for dinner and drinks I have ever been too!! I wish they would open up more of these restaurants as I love two hours away, but I am so tempted to drive to Columbus just for this place!

Oliver's was definitely not exactly what I expected. For what I thought was going to be a hole in the wall... enter through an alley... burger joint that tried to do steaks... I was pleasantly surprised to be faced with a nice eating area with a decent bar. I ended up here to catch up with a friend... and the service was definitely better than expected with an attentive bartender that was willing to engage us, but give us our space when we needed it. The menu is definitely approachable both from a price and selection point of view... so no one should have trouble finding something they can eat at a price that they could afford. It's not super inventive, so if you're trying to impress a date or your friends, you might want to try something else, but for a standard menu at a great price point with a good location, Oliver's will definitely be a place I will be returning to.

Olivers is a perfectly acceptable lunch option. It definitely has its upsides, but it still has a few rough edges that prevent it from being exceptional. One of the best things about Olivers is that they can, and do, accommodate larger groups for lunch. Finding a place to eat for more than four people is not easy, and so in that respect, Olivers is very welcome indeed. They take reservations and I would encourage anyone with a larger group to take advantage of that opportunity. It makes it easier on them and you! The burgers overall are pretty good. They have interesting toppings that, on most of my visits have been done well. There are a few times when the assembly has been lacking in either quantity or quality, but other items it has been spot on. The fries are quite tasty and I'd say are worth the upgrade if you are hungry and have room. Having room leads me into... There are a few downsides however. The menu overall is quite heavy, which in my experience, has been problematic for a work day lunch. Loading up on a heavy burger before going back to your desk doesn't always result in afternoon productivity. And unless you want a salad, there aren't that many options for lighter fare. They do try to accommodate non-burger eaters with two veggie burger options. But the black bean burger at least falls a bit flat. It's largely a one note affair that tastes primarily of mashed black beans. There's not much texture, the absence of which is really noticeable. Another is that the buns, while good, are often larger than the burger. It makes for a rather bready experience, and on numerous occasions I've had large portions of bun leftover after having finished the burger. They could do to either make the burger patties wider (note, not bigger) or downsize the buns a bit. Finally, the service has been mixed. We've had both terrific standout service and indifferent service. It seems to largely turn on who you get as a server. All in all, a decent effort but several stumbles that keep it from excelling. If you're looking for a place for a bigger group, then add an extra star for their ability to handle it and flexibility in doing so.

First off, this place was definitely a 3.5 star for me, but I'm generous. When I had first heard about Oliver's going in downtown, I was very excited to try it, but then I'd see review after review on it's mediocrity, so I basically forgot about the place. I'd be lying if I said I was down on Gay St. looking to go here, but we couldn't go to the restaurant we wanted to try, so we gave Oliver's a shot. It's back on Lynn Alley, but it's easy to spot once you're there with a little patio out front. When you hear steaks and bourbon, you might think the place is a bit upscale, but that wasn't the vibe we got at all heading in here, and it definitely smelled like a bar. To start, out server was a bit odd. I couldn't tell if this was her first week, or if she was just socially awkward, but she kept trying to start up forced conversations but was stumbling on her words, I felt kind of bad. We ended up ordering the spicy BBQ wings, and I went with the Jalapeno Popper Juicy Lucy, while my girlfriend had the bacon and mushroom burger. The wings were actually pretty tasty, and because they were slow roasted then fried, they were extra crispiness. They went REAL heavy on the sauce, so you may want to ask for that on the side. As far as the burgers went, I can't say mine really came off as a true Juicy Lucy (a stuffed burger). It was supposedly stuffed with jalapenos, cream cheese, and bacon, but it tasted like all of these were just toppings on the sandwich. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that the burger was delicious and cooked perfectly! It was incredibly juicy. My girlfriend really liked hers as well. The bottom buns on our burgers were both super thin, so they began to fall apart once they got soggy, but other than that, we were huge fans of the burgers. We got the garlic fries as sides with out burgers, and I just really really did not like these. A couple of the fries on the outside were okay, but as you got to the middle of the pile, they were very soggy and had a really bad garlic flavor to them. I didn't even think that was possible. I actually had to spit some of it out at one point. Blah. Overall, the majority of the food was on par, and I'm not sure that I'd ever pay for a steak here, since I believe there's plenty of other places to get a great steak for the same price, but if I was in the area looking for some high quality bar food, I may stop in. The bar was actually pretty big and looked like it would be a fun time if it were full. It'd definitely be a nice spot to watch a game, since I can't imagine it being too crowded.

The short rib burgers are perfection! How have I not had a burger made from short ribs before? ! The French Onion and Juicy Lucy are to die for. But the Buffalo dip though! *slow clap* If you're downtown for any reason this place is a must. Oh and they have bourbon too.

My first time in and I loved it! The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. I'm not a big bourbon drinker, but I decided to try the salted caramel infused bourbon and it was awesome!! Also, Jesse our server was a rockstar! Definitely will be back soon!

I have now been here 3 times. The first time I came the food was excellent and it has only gone down hill from there. Over cooked burgers and the drinks taste different each time. I had high hopes. Nice atmosphere not sure if I will give it another chance.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. It's hidden in one of the great off the beaten path areas of downtown Columbus...Pearl Alley. In between Broad and Gay there are a number of great little restaurants to choose from. Finally made it today for lunch. I love their hours for one thing. So many downtown places have only weekday lunch hours and then they all shut down. So much for the revitalization of downtown. So props for that. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We sat on the patio as it was beautiful day. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The food...was fine...that's all I can really say. Not bad by any means but just didn't have the wow factor for me. Everything came out just lukewarm which I overlooked. I asked for my burger medium and it came rare. They graciously made it over which was very much appreciated. I got the Jalepeno Popper Jucy Lucy. Sounded amazing as it was supposed to be stuffed with cream cheese, bacon and jalepenos. All of that was on there but just on the bun. Not stuffed. The bun was just a standard bun. I would have liked it toasted. It comes with house made chips and french onion dip. That was good. We started out with the beer cheese dip and soft pretzels. The taste was there but it was just a little warm. I will be back for the atmosphere and I've heard the brunch is good...this visit was just okay though.

Anna H., Mark K. and I entered from the Lynn Alley entrance today. It was Mark's first time and Anna's and my second visit. Just inside the door we found a warm and inviting dining room with a bar in front of the exposed brick wall. The ambiance is upscale casual / modern urban with comfortable seating that are just made for lingering with friends. Our lunch though, was very disappointing. On our first visit, we both ordered the Salmon Sandwich ($9) and I've been craving it ever since. It was a wonderful, moist and flavorful sandwich and it was well worth the price. Unfortunately, they changed this sandwich already and raised the price to $12, not reflected in their online menu btw. We asked if we could get the "old style" sandwich and was told that they would make that happen. What the kitchen sent out though, was a salmon fillet on a dry untoasted, submarine bun over twice the size of the filet.. There was a little lettuce and two small slices of Roma tomato - nothing else. I could have made this at home (and better) for $3. There's two positive notes. Alisha, our server was really nice and sympathetic about this so she did get us some aoili which helped a little but even with wasn't enough to rescue this pathetic sandwich. The side of mac and cheese was excellent though. You get a nice sized portion with a great taste of real cheddar cheese. It's thick and hearty so I'd recommend it as it was much better than the garlic fries I got the first time (meh). Our first time here was a solid 4 stars but now I'm being generous giving them 3. I'd try them again but it seems that after being open for 2 months...Oliver's still hasn't quite gotten their act together.

After a boozy brunch in Arena District, I coerced bf to walk downtown with me so we could check out Oliver's. Pictures online seemed promising, they had booze and TVs, so it was go. When we walked in, it smelled like cleaning chemicals. Not very welcoming. If we had been there to eat I may have had to turn around. On a positive note, I did really like the decor and the cognac-leather booths were nice to walk past. They didn't have music playing because something with the sound system was down, but the game was on full blast, which ruined my vibe. We sat at the bar and asked for a beer list. Upon ordering (after 5+ minutes of us reading over the list), our bartender said "Oh, don't pay attention to those, it's out of date and we don't have any of them." Huh? Then why did you hand us this? The beer I got was okay but a little warmer than I would have liked. Bf gasped in horror as he realized they are charging $8 for 16oz of Guinness here. For comparison, it's $4 at Little Palace a few blocks away. We decided it was a one beer and clear type of situation. Before leaving, I stopped in the bathroom. Ew. If you were going for "industrial trendy" you did not achieve this from the actual industrial lop-sided kitchen sink you threw in there. Also, sponge painting over an old nasty pipe does not hide the fact that it is an old gross pipe. Our bartender was generally uninterested in us and the job itself, it seemed. We couldn't wait to finish our beers and leave.

OLIVER'S IS A VERY HIDDEN QUIET GEM! Today was my third visit so you know I'm getting into the service, extensive creative menu and the fresh food creations. Prices are inviting not prohibitive. Food temperature is probably the only weakness.... Hidden on Lynn Alley so you need to seek it out.

Oliver's is a relatively new restaurant located in an alley off N. High St. I have been there twice now and must say that I do enjoy their burgers. I have had their Juicy Lucy burger and more recently, the Chorizo burger. The Juicy Lucy is stuffed with Gruyere cheese and topped generously. I have also had their Buffalo Chicken Dip with pita bread and that is very delicious! If you are looking for a new lunch or dinner spot come check this place out. Eventually I would like to come here for Happy Hour for a different experience. Don't forget to try the Peach Iced Tea! 4/5 stars

Had a truly wonderful dining experience her this evening with friends. We tried the wings, which were some of the best I've ever had, literally, and I love wings. They're baked, then fried to get the skin just right, and they're great! Then we had burgers, and the chicken Marsala, which was all incredible. The burgers are tasty and well made using ground prime rib beef. I had the black and blue burger with bleu cheese, which was delicious. Others had the mac and cheese burger, which is topped with mac and cheese. The house chips are great, add some of the chipotle hot sauce for dipping to make them amazing. I got the sweet potato fries with a salted carmel dipping sauce, and it was so good, i didn't need a dessert. They're somewhat off the beaten path, off of high and broad, just a half block north on high, they're off of a pedestrian alleyway there. The bourbon menu was quite nice to see, not many places in the area have a selection like they do. As a bourbon purist, I appreciated many of the choices available, and tried some new ones. Overall, I loved the place, and i'd be back again soon.

Again- pretty solid performance from this downtown spot. I went with a fairly large group and we were seated immediately. The food and service was a little slow but worth it. I ordered the chickpea burger again. This time it was slightly less flavorful and seemed to fall apart a little too easy. But nonetheless it was still pretty damn tasty. I also ordered up from chips with the Mac n cheese- which doesn't blow my mind. It was cheesy and creamy-the texture was spot on but still just a little lacking in flavor. The patio is great, the food is pretty damn good but the service can pretty slow (which is really only an issue when you're a downtown lunch crowd). Also, they're site says they're only open from 10:30 to 11 am on Saturdays?

LOVED this place. We went because we were jonesin' hard for a good burger, and Oliver's delivered in a big way. They boast "no freezer; no microwave," and the food matches the promise. The fries were pretty salty, but other than that, I'd order the same thing again: Juicy Lucy Burger. We are actually considering going back today, which is the very next day.

Walking though the dodgy alley that abuts the state of Ohio Rhodes Office Tower, one is not hopeful about finding any culinary gems. However, stalwarts Ringside and Jack' Diner are here. Oliver's now joins them. With its cowboy swagger signage reading "steaks, burgers, bourbon," does it live up to its hype? Indeed it does. My first impression was that I had entered American Psycho's Texarkana restaurant, which was filmed in Toronto's Montana. It has a brash Eighties feel...meat, liquor, bar, booths' exposed wood, with the only thing missing: antlers. (This place does appear to have vegetarian fare, so don't be scared if that's an issue.) Clearly, though, the pride here is a happy hour liquor list and exceptional cuts of meat for a downtown lunch restaurant. The beef burgers are made with short rib meat, confusingly listed on the menu as "short rib burgers," making me think I was going to get something looking like a high end McRib sandwich on a bun. No worries. The friendly waitress explained the term is used to describe the cut of beef used in their normal looking ground beef burgers. Delicious. Co-worker ordered the special, a salmon burger, and was delighted. Other luncher with us got a spinach salad with blackened chicken and was equally pleased. This place is cavernous for an alley bound, downtown eatery. Apparently, the Statehouse politicos have discovered it for fundraisers at night. I hope it does evening business, because the lack of dinner customers is what kills a lot of downtown restaurants. I plan to come back here for a dinner filet steak and a cocktail. Try this place before it succumbs to downtown locationitis, and tell everyone you know to go, too, so we can keep this treasure afloat. So much better than settling for a take out sub sandwich or slice of pizza, though there's nothing wrong with those options. Why would Ivana be at Texarkana, Patrick Bateman creepily asks. Well, she would be if it were Oliver's. Because it's good.

Went here on a weeknight mainly because Ringside closes at 9 (9?!). Had a few drinks on the patio. It is very loud out there because of a giant A/C unit. So if you want it to be quieter, sit on the side closer to Pearl Alley. Despite that one drawback, the patio is very nice and our server was excellent. She was friendly and quick. Haven't eaten here yet but the selection on everything looks good.

Great location and excellent service. We went to Oliver's for dinner on a relatively busy evening, and were concerned that the service would be slow based on the number of people who were there. The food came out in about 8 minutes, and the waitstaff was extremely friendly and patient with us. Burgers are great, and the mac n cheese is off the chain. I've never been to Oliver's for lunch but it is right in the heart of the downtown area, so I'd imagine it would be a great option. We will be back soon!

Definitely surprised to see all these bad reviews, my experience was fantastic here. Came in during Moonlight Market to a pretty full restaurant. They had live music outside, but we opted for the more laid-back, casual atmosphere inside. Our bartender was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about their drink selections, offering to pick a beverage that matched my tastes. They had a pretty sizable draft list too,and they served our beers in corresponding glassware, European-style, which I'm always a sucker for. The kitchen ran out of the sweet potato fries, but our bartender offered us loaded fries instead at half price, which were delicious! All in all, I felt the service here was leaps and bounds beyond the typical disinterested staff you find downtown. Excited to come back.

Order the jalapeño juicy lucy. Food came in about 15 mins. Presentation was superb, very well done. Took my first bite and was floored. ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS I EVER HAD!!! The cheese seems likes it was cooked inside of the burger and jalapeños and bacon added the perfect compliment. If you come here you must order the juicy!!!!

So if you know me it's hard of me to give a bad review. I will start off with the bad. I went because the menu and name focuses on Bourbon, well I was disappointed that they had Bourbon on the menu that they didn't even have available ( Old Forester BDay ) ( Elijah Craig Barrel Proof ) the next big disappointment was the BISON BURGER, Bison to me says ROAR and MEAT this Burger said oh no please don't eat me as I hide behind this HUGE Bun. The menu even had me sold on Blueberry BBQ which was not even on the Burger ( Strike 3 ) I was with one of my favs Bryant and talking about my new venture I'm trying to start here in town. I picked this one and to be honest kinda embarrassed. I really LOVE the actual restaurant the wood floor, brick walls gives the place such a nice feel. Now if they could just work on that BOURBON LIST and menu.

I met Mike G. and Anna H. here last week for a nice weekday lunch. It wasn't too busy, even at noon. Nice atmosphere- tables outside, dark wood and a nice bar inside. Service was excellent, start to finish. The food... was okay. They had salmon sandwiches, and the menu had been changed since they were last in. The sandwiches were not as good, and the price had gone up. Mike also had mac and cheese, which was very good- creamy, lots of cheese flavor, with spiral pasta. We shared spinach dip, which was pretty good and plenty for sharing. I had the beefy chorizo burger. It wasn't bad, but there wasn't much sign of chorizo and was pretty darn small for the price. The pretzel bun was good, as were the toppings. It came with forgettable house-made chips. All in all, I'd go back if I were nearby. It's a little hard to find, tucked in an alley between Pearl Alley and High.

Great food and even better prices! I got the classic cheeseburger and it was the best burger I've had in a while. Cooked medium well, but a good amount of warm pink in the middle. Great atmosphere as well. We were impressed.

I took a couple coworkers out for lunch. First- there was a strong bleach smell that was coming from the restaurant. Its great that this place is clean, but that smell was overwhelming, and ruined a bit of my experience there. Menu is fun, I ordered the Jalapeno Pepper Jucy Lucy, which was ok. The burger is 'infused' with cream cheese and jalapenos. The waitress explained that if I wanted my burger well done, I would lose the taste of these items, so its possible that because they cooked it longer, it killed the expected flavors. Either way, it wasn't 'stuffed' with much, as the menu described. Our waitress was pleasant, but for my one coworker, they didn't have waffles in house, which is the 'bun' type for the burger she ordered, and the waitress waited until the food was served to tell her that (pretty much not giving her an option to pick another bread, or change her order). I felt bad for my coworker (she was bummed- that was the reason she ordered the sandwich), had it been my order, I would have asked for something else. I also upgraded my fries to sweet potatoes fries, which is always a gamble. Sweet potato fries, you just never know what they are going to be like. They are thick cut, but were not cooked very well. Came out cold, and mushy. The bar environment, feel and look is great! But I wont be returning based on this experience. Price was ok, I felt like I like to be a little more 'wow-d' for $20 a meal.

Made reservations for 7:30. Didn't get seated until 7:45. Took 20 minutes to get our drinks and about an hour + for our mediocre hamburgers. Not really customer oriented which is pretty important these days considering there are social networks like this one for customers to share their experience. It wasn't a pleasant way to spend my Saturday evening with my girlfriend. Luckily she's the bomb so we still had a good night. Too many places in Columbus for me to try this place again.

Just checked this place out with some coworkers today for lunch. Arrived around 11:45, and the restaurant wasn't too busy yet. We had a very attentive waiter, and all received our food within about 15-20 minutes! We all had burgers with a side of fries or chips, which are a la carte at an additional $4. The chips should be a little cheaper, I think, but were crispy and not soggy/greasy. The garlic fries are kickin', so bring some breath mints! I ordered the Downtown Juicy Lucy Burger (I think that's what it was called) cooked medium, which had caramelized onions, two kinds of cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was perfectly prepared. Those buns! I'm not sure if it would be considered a brioche or not, but it was buttery and the burger-to-bread ratio was spot on. I had the sweet potato fries, which came with a sweet caramel sauce of sorts, which once I figured out it had separated and gave it a stir, was a great compliment to the fries. My total was a little over $12, which is more than I would usually spend for lunch, but was on-par with the quality of the food. We didn't have any drinks, so I can't speak to the 'bourbon' side of the menu. The decor is great- sort of a fancy warehouse vibe, with exposed brick but polished lighting fixtures and a nice bar. They had several flat screens, so I can see how this would be a great place to watch a game (assuming you asked them to turn on the audio). It was starting to fill up with lunchtime patrons as we were on our way out, so I bet this will be a place where you'd want to arrive early. All in all, a great first experience, and I'm looking forward to going back to check out their happy hour!

This was probably the worst dining experience I have had in a long time --- a true disappointment. It literally took over 45 minutes to get our food which was completely wrong and COLD! My $30 steak was ordered medium and came out as very well done. My friend ordered prime rib and they came out with a sirloin! The Mac and cheese and veggies were literally as cold as ice. We ordered appetizers (I ordered soup and my friend ordered salad) and they never brought out my friends salad and my soup took about 30 minutes.... For soup! The server said the kitchen was behind but it seemed like they just put the order in wrong... Not to mention the diet coke was flat! We over heard the table behind us which also had a similar experience. We ended up leaving and doing drive through at Wendy's. My final words of wisdom: don't even give this place a chance. I can almost guarantee you will be disappointed!

I thought it was good - there were vegan choices and a full bar. They also had gluten free options The food was a bit hit or miss. My vegan burger was pretty good, the burgers were apparently excellent, and the steak was a big miss. The fries were $3 extra and not offered to everyone. I would give it another try because it is close to the hotel I am staying at and I think the place is newly opened so they are still trying to get out the kinks. But I would probably be a little rougher on the place next time.

Thank God we stumbled onto this place on a Saturday night! Their Jucy Lucy hamburger was melt in your mouth delicious with the cheese melted inside with carmelized onions and garlic aioli. Heaven on earth. People think Thurman's has a great burger? This rocked the house! It was ground short rib which was amazing! My husband got the Mac and Cheese, which was rich and incredible, especially with the Texas Toast which made us feel like we were eating a grilled cheese sandwich from the heavens! We started with the simple house salad that was a basic and light red vinaigrette dressing with feta cheese and olives! We devoured it! We will be back for some bourbon tasting because this was a huge find for those of us who live in downtown and want to have a great dinner before a show! Thanks Oliver's! We will be back in the next two weeks!

First off, they get praise because they were open on Sunday evening. A lot of the establishments downtown were closed, sadly. I mean, I get it. Sunday isn't a big night out but if Columbus is pushing downtown living, then they also need to push downtown dining. Anyway, a common theme I've noticed with new establishments is the decor. Rustic, dark, brick, leather. I love the look! Very cool. Service was okay. Our waiter didn't really seem interested in us or in wanting to be there. Maybe because we were one of 5 people in the place on a Sunday and he'd rather just be home, watching football, and eating wings. I don't know but he was just okay. The food was pretty good. I've never had a chickpea burger before and I really enjoyed it. The flavors of the slaw, the aioli and the chickpea all blended nicely. The only complaint I have about the sandwich is the bread. HOLY bread! Too much. More bread than filling. My sandwich was also served with house chips and those were very tasty and crunchy. My dining partner ordered the jalapeno burger and she LOVED it. She thought it was a great burger. I tasted it and I also have to agree with her. It was very tasty and cooked perfectly. But again, HOLY bread! All in all it was an okay experience. I feel like Olivers is trying to be a high class establishment. Almost like J. Alexander's or Mitchell's Steakhouse and it just isn't that. It just felt like pretending. The end.

I would say it's just below average. I got the Jalapeno Juicy Lucy after reading RAVE reviews, and was seriously disappointed. It had this strange buttery aoli on it that didn't have a flavor, and the burger was supposed to be stuffed but however was not. I also ordered the garlic fries that seemed to have the same buttery-flavorless oil on them. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, although it took about 20 minutes for us to get our food. I probably won't return any time soon.

Where do I start? I came in with 4 friends of mine and I don't think a single person left satisfied. First of all I ordered my burger medium but what I received was practically a piece of coal. It was so burnt that it had bark on the outside if it, similar to a piece of brisket. It was the driest burger I have ever had. Definitely cooked past medium. One of my friends ordered a Juicy Lucy. The whole point of a Juicy Lucy is that it's a burger stuffed with cheese. Although he ordered his burger medium and it was cooked correctly, there was nothing but burger. No cheese or jalapeño stuffed inside, as was in the description. It has no right being called a Juicy Lucy if it's not stuffed with cheese. My girlfriend ordered a side salad with a salmon filet. The same person who cooked my burger must have cooked her piece of fish because it was CHARRED. Do you know who likes charred salmon? Absolutely nobody. It was so dry that she forfeited the $6 up charge because she couldn't even eat it. Now you might ask, "Why didn't you complain and get your money back?" Well that's because after our waiter brought us our order he came to our table a total of one time after that to check on us. When he finally did show up to our table and I had a chance to say something I had already finished half of my burger so his response was "Oh, NOW you say something? I can't do anything about it now." First of all yes... NOW I said something because it was the only time I ever saw you to get a chance to say something. Also when your restaurant is at fault of preparing an entire meal of food the wrong, the last thing you should do is respond to them with a condescending remark like that. Mind you, this guy had one other table.... No wonder.

I can't believe this place only shows 3-1/2 stars. Without exaggeration, the Juicy Lucy may be the best burger I have ever had (and this was after a wild boar and duck bacon masterpiece at Bare Burger the day before). Perfect fat ratio in the meat, cooked medium rare by request, the bun was just the right texture and flavor, the cheese was just the right choice, and so on. The mac and cheese on the side was great, too, and they have a good beer selection.
