    Do not go to this place. The lady boss is rude and arrogant. The food is not that good but expensive. The service is so bad yet she demanded full tips. Giving them business would mean you support being treated poorly, and that customer service means nothing to you.

    A very quality and authentic Chinese restaurant near campus. Loved their Peking Roasted Duck and various sides with it. But be aware that you need to reserve for Roasted Duck one day in advance.

    It's really hard to find good quality, tasty Chinese food. I came from California to visit my boyfriend in Columbus, and I was so pleasantly surprised by Moy's. We ordered: Chicken with black bean sauce, and vegetable lo mein. We enjoy spicy food, and so we asked them to make it spicy. Usually it is rare to find Chinese food witth spice, so we were thrilled when our dishes actually had a kick to them! The portions for both dishes were HUGE! These two dishes between the two of us was so much that the leftovers lasted us for another meal. Each dish had great flavor, and the quality of the chicken was superb! Not a ton of veggies in the dishes, but there were some there. The food was not overly oily, nor did it seem that there was any MSG. The owner is a super sweet and friendly lady. Overall, I will definitely be coming back to Moy's...many times over! :)

    As a Chinese person, the food is ok, it's Cantonese style Chinese food, and I'm from the north. The thing I hate about Moy's the most is that the waitress is really rude and mean, and pretty pushy too. None of my Chinese friends would eat there.

    This is not your usual cooperate Americanized Chinese food. What you get from Moy's is fresh, high quality food. It reminded me of the movie "God of Cookery" starring Stephan Chow. The shrimp fried rice, and green beans with pork in dark soy paste sauce were both amazing. We actually got there at around 9:20 pm, and the door was locked (yelp indicated they were open till 10 pm). As we were walking away disappointed, a lady opened the door for us and cooked us yummy meals. The result: best Chinese food experience in a few years!

    I'm only givin three stars bc I think this place is way overpriced. The food is good but it's not so great it should cost $60 for 2 people. This isn't NYC. My go to place for Chinese is little dragon. Better & cheaper.

    My family has been going to this restaurant for over a decade. Only one cook (Pak), so the food is consistently good. Best approach is to tell Berlina the type of meat and sauce you like. She'll make some great recommendations. If you want cheap and quick, then go to another spot that will fill you up with MSG. People travel from all over Columbus (many from Bexley) to enjoy this excellent food. My favorite is the chicken and pickled mustard dish.

    Moy's was the first place I went out for dinner at Ohio State when I arrived as a freshman way back in 1996. They have never disappointed me, ever! I now live 500 miles away and often consider driving to Columbus just to get a Moy's fix. The last time I visited Columbus, I drove straight to Moy's for lunch with my husband. Seriously. I was visiting friends, but had to go to Moy's first. I was welcomed by Mrs. Moy who still remembers me coming for my weekly fix during my 7 years (and 2 degrees) at Ohio State. Before leaving Columbus, I went to Moy's one more time for some General Tso's Chicken. Everything they make is good because it's a small family owned and family run business tucked into a narrow restaurant front on High Street. My favorites include: General Tso's Chicken or Tofu, Chicken with String Beans Szechuan Style, Hunan Eggplant, Pan Fried Noodle dishes, and the list goes on. They do make some of the best hot & sour soup I have ever had and they actually fry up their egg rolls so they are uber crispy. Space may be tight during the lunch rush, but you won't have to wait long for a table. Sometimes people share the big eight seater, but everyone is happily enjoying their food so no one minds. Eat up Columbus! You don't realize how good you have it!

    Ok, only my 2nd 5 star... Moy's is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Columbus. I think the key is the quality of the chicken / beef they use. It tastes far more succulent and tender than your average take out fare. Anything fried (General Tso's, Sesame, etc.) STAYS crispy after they toss it in it's applicable sauce. And, a rarity in Columbus, they have Chinese-style BBQ roast pork. Pork is my favorite protein. This is my favorite pork. My standby is the shrimp ball and above-mentioned roast pork and noodle soup - if it's cold and snowy / rainy, this is tough meal to beat. The roast duck is equally delicious, and somehow, their fried rice transcends the norm. You can order in different spice levels, and you get the soup of the day if dining in. Be sure to dump in plenty of the chili sauce if you like spicy food. It can get busy during lunch on campus, but if you get in good w/ Mrs. Moy, she'll usually save you seat if you give her a heads up. She also remembers your order, which makes me feel like a big shot. And if you're lucky, she'll give one of those weird almond candy things along with your fortune cookie.

    Love the unassuming place, the bouyant and helpful Mrs. Moy, and have enjoyed all but one dish I've tried - and that was a question of preference not quality. I've enjoyed quick lunches, carry out, dinners, and feasts at this little gem. The dishes and sauces are more complex than others in the area. Ask for their guidance and give them a day or two to prepare a feast and they will wow you.

    Moy's is by far the best Chinese food in Columbus. One of only 3 or 4 places in the city I'd give 5 stars to, Chinese or otherwise. I'm a sucker for their General Tso's which is completely unlike any i've have anywhere else. We also really love their string beans in black bean sauce and the the egg rolls are pretty amazing. If you want something a little less tailored to the american palate you can always ask Mrs Moy for a suggestion. I can't always pronounce the things she serves me but they are always incredibly tasty.

    The owner who is also the server is extremely mean. So beware. I overheard her scolding some customers for not reading the check before asking her questions. And she dropped my spoon while she's cleaning up my table, she never apologized but glared at me and said, "you shouldn't have placed your spoon there." I heard things about the owner's bad attitude but now I get to experience it myself. Food is okay, but service is the worst in Columbus. Never going back again.

    Small place, reasonably priced. Came in on a week day right at noon, the wait was about 20minutes, they didn't take names or anything but it was okay, people were courteous about knowing who came ahead of them. As patrons left those in line just shuffled into their tables, no hostess required. The owner of the store is a real gem, she's great at helping you order if you're between things. We got the crab ragoons, which weren't very crabby, they never are, but so delicious and a good portion to share. I got the roast duck and roast BBQ lunch rice place , per the owners suggestion I stuck to the white rice. And I'm glad I did, it was delicious! I'm very into duck, and she warned me that it's skin on and bones, which is fine by me. But it turned out to be mostly bones. The couple bites I had with meat were great, but I wouldn't order the duck again. The pork was great. And you get this unique gel like egg like soup prior to your meal. My friend got the roast duck and soy chicken rice plate, she said it was very tender and good. Although I'll admit it wasn't pretty. But taste is what matters. Their lomein and other dishes going to other tables looked amazing too! Lastly, don't wait to get a check to go up to the register to pay. They have it up there and will split checks too! I'll definitely be back!

    Not the best Chinese food in Columbus, but solid. Food can be a little over-sauced or greasy, but generally tasty and a huge portion for cheap if you get the lunch specials. I like the General Tsao tofu, mapo tofu, mala string bean, and the curry. Some might find Mrs. Moy abrasive, but I think she is hilarious and she will remember you if you make repeat visits. $10 credit card minimum.

    I've been to Moy's twice now. My husband goes often with his workmates who are regulars. First time I visited with my husband, it was the night of Father's day. We found out that the owner was closing early so she could have a Father's day meal. She was very apologetic and we got carry out instead of eating in. We both ordered general tso's chicken. The general tso's here is all white meat chicken and comes with broccoli and steamed rice. I liked the spiciness of the sauce and it seemed complex, more than just sweet. We went again tonight. At 7:30 pm on a Sunday night, we were the only patrons. We got general tso's chicken and orange beef to split. The general tso's was good again--seemed less complex compared to the orange beef which ended up being my favorite. The sauce was spicy and had a definite orange flavor. The beef was in thin, wide slabs and thinly breaded with a crispy crust. The plate was circled by orange slices. All the things we get are spicy, but they don't have to be--she asks if you want it spicy when you order. We got a plate of orange wedges at the end with out fortune cookies. I thought that was a nice touch. Two regular dinner orders are way too much for two people to eat. We're planning to get one dish and an appetizer next time to share. The owner (I assume she's the owner) has always been friendly and attentive. I'm pretty sure she recognizes us, especially my husband who has visited several times. She recommended that we get two dishes that are more different next time. There is nothing formal about this place, but I never expected it to be.

    I've always had amazing service here and delicious food. if you see a review complaining about food it's because that person ordered an American dish. yes american dishes exist in what seems to be chinese food... GET OVER IT AND BE ADVENTUROUS. Love the lunch specials. For me it's the best Chinese on high and I always like supporting family businesses.

    Amazing food. I've known the owner for years, I came in after many years and she remembered me!! She asked about my family and my life, I couldn't believe that she remembered me from all those years ago. The portion sizes are great, lots of food!!

    Terrible service! I go to this restaurant several times just because it is near the campus and I will never, ever, go to this place again. They wrote the tip themselves and then asked us to sign just because one of us used a international credit card. I also remembered last time I had a lunch special there which was less than 10 dollars, she asked me to pay more than 2 dollars for tip for a 6.99 dollars meal because the minimum payment was 10. The woman there has really bad temper and bad service, always asking for higher tip with bad service using illegal method!

    Pretty good food. Really good quantity. Even though I'm a hardcore non-veg, I love the Tofu Curry at this place. I had one of the beef dishes, can't remember what it was but it wasn't great. If in doubt, ask the lil old lady, she's good with recommendations. If you like spicy then ask them for the hot chili sauce on the side. It's a nice little place right on high street. It's a bit more expensive, but given the quantity and taste it's good value for money.

    This is the epitome of a hole in the wall restaurant. In my 4 years on campus, I never knew it was there. My boyfriend swears it's the best Chinese food around campus, so I decided to give it a try. At $10-$15 an entree, it is a little overpriced for the college crowd, and while it was definitely better quality food than No. 1 Chinese (RIP) it wasn't the greatest Chinese food I've ever had. My favorite part about eating Chinese food is getting to take home lots of leftovers, but the portion sizes here weren't even big enough for me to do that. The other weird thing was the staff were taking 'breaks' in the middle of the restaurant to watch Entertainment Tonight that they had blaring on the TV in the restaurant. They were literally just sitting down at empty tables and laughing at the TV while they had several tables to attend to. I thought that was strange. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but I don't have an overwhelming desire to go back anytime soon.

    Congratulations to Moy's for literally being THE BEST Chinese food I have ever had in my life. I have yet to find Chinese fare that lives up to this place. There is nothing that I have ever been disappointed with. The General Tso's chicken is easily my favorite thing on the menu. The meat is white meat and all the food is cooked fresh. The hot and sour soup is also one of my favorites. The owners are fantastic and the service is excellent. I am surprised by the negative review about Mrs. Moy personally as her kindness stuck with me after my first visit. The prices are more expensive than your classic cheap take out Chinese but SO worth it. Moy's is kind of hidden and blends in so be sure to look out for it and stop on by. Great for college students willing to spend a couple extra bucks but also great for anyone (families, etc). Don't let its location fool you into thinking its just for college crowd.

    My husband loves this place, so I was happy to give it a try (three times). The first two times the food was just ok, nothing special. The atmosphere and the owner are a bit to be desired. I felt like I had to walk on eggshells communicating with her for fear that she would scold me like a small child. It's also very quiet, which I also found to be awkward. The last time we ordered from the will be my last time. The sesame chicken was just gross. Instead of the delicious sauce that I'm used to from other places, this one was swimming in a thick, bbq-like topping. Oh, it was so bad. The chicken in some spots was completely dry (apparently it's bbq companion could not help the dryness). I was so unimpressed, I didn't even finish-that's saying something as their portions are not big, and I love sesame chicken. Not worth the price. Not worth the wait. Not worth another chance.

    The place is like a hole in the wall authentic chinese restaurant. The menu is enormous. You could try different options every-time you go. The service is super fast. Quantity of the food is generous. One of the best places you could go when you're super duper hungry and want something delicious and fast! Borderline overpriced, but worth it!

    Yeah so it's Moy's. The reason why I'm so reluctant on writing a review is that I have a love and hate relationship with this place. I used to come with friends after class on a cold winter day, when the Ohio snow is making everyone miserable. We will come in this cozy little place, eat our food and gossip. Yes it was great times! It reminds me of Chinese New Year family dinner: room full of people, smell of food, people talking, TV background noise and, more people. For that reason I love this place. When it comes to the food, I'm not a fan :( The food is so underwhelming. It just doesn't taste good! I think a better bit is probably order American Chinese stables such as General Tso's or Mongolian beef or something. Even that it's probably some of the bad American Chinese I've had.

    I always hear my friends rave about this place and have seen the high rating here on Yelp so I figured I would check it out. I decided to get the standard general tso's chicken (the regular not spicy version). It only took about 7 minutes for the food to be served. The chicken came on a large serving plate along with a lot of sauce and about 5 pieces of broccoli. The sauce was thick and actually reminded me of barbeque sauce. About half the pieces of chicken were crispy, but I did find surprise green gunk inside one of the pieces (see my uploaded pics). Overall the price of the food was comparable to Royal Ginger, but the quality was not. I do not think I will be returning to this establishment in the future, as it did not live up to the hype for me

    I heard from couple people that the food here is good, so I gave it a try. The restaurant is located right next to the Buckeye Donuts. The place is a little bit small but the decoration made me feel comfortable. I had Beijing style pork, and the pork was okay. The sauce was a little too much that made me sick of it. They also didn't take out the bone so it was kinda hard to eat. The price is a little bit pricey compared to any other Chinese food in university district area. The service here was so terrible. There was a complementary dessert that they gave us after we're done with our foods. While my friend still having her dessert, the lady here was so rude. She asked her to quickly finish up the dessert in a rude way. It would be just fine if she told us that they're gonna close soon(which we didn't know), but we come home with disappointment to be treated that way. After having my first experience in this place, I don't see any reason to come back here again.

    Food taste is not always good. Sometimes it's the best in university district, but sometimes it is just like other cheap chinese restaurants. It just varies... Besides the lady was so rude to me, and I didn't do anything wrong. It's ridiculous.

    The food in here is fine, but the service is so terrible!!! I ordered a half of roast duck, when I ate the duck, it's too oil, so I asked the waitress whether they have any sauce, like sweet and sour? Waitress said in hongkong, no one eat roast duck with any sauce. So they don't service any sauce. Well..... If she just said we don't have it, I think it's fine. But why said that? It's like they look down upon me. I really feel uncomfortable! I will never go back to this place !

    Recently tried this place again on a cold, snowy-rainy evening, it being closer to home than my preferred Chinese in town (Sunflower and Lee Garden). I called Moy's and managed to place an order for Hunan Pork, Cashew Chicken and Beef with Broccoli, all non-spicy, but it was difficult. 'Mama Moy' keeps interrupting, interjecting what she THINKS I want, and talking over me. And she talks LOUD and too fast for her own good. Anyway, I think she has my order for pickup. I drive down to get the food, come back and we open the containers only to find none of the orders are right. I immediately called Moy's and talked to 'Mama Moy' again, telling her the problem. She immediately tells me I ordered General Tso's chicken, Sesame Pork and Broccoli Beef, all SPICY! I couldn't believe my ears. I insisted there's no way I ordered that, as I detest Gernal Tso's, no one in my group likes Sesame Pork and no one likes spicy food. All the while Moy is laughing and giggling. Finally she says, 'OK, OK, I GIVE YOU FREE ENTREE NEXT TIME COME IN'. She talks LOUD, I tell you. I hang up and our party makes the best of the situation,not wanting to go out again. Later, I called my credit card company and disputed the bill and it was removed totally from my balance. I also want to make the point that this is the second bad experience with Mama Moy. The previous time I placed an order (again 3 dishes), but when I show up, she has me ordering 5 entrees! She didn't want to give me credit, then, either. I think she just talks too fast and LOUD for her own good, so she doesn't hear properly. The food is not bad, but dealing with the loud-talker isn't worth it.

    Moys restaurant truly is a diamond in the rough when it comes to quality Chinese food. If you've ever been around the neighborhood, you'll know that there are well over a dozen options for Chinese; Yet none which I would consider palletable when I'm sober. Moys does the exact opposite of what the other "options" do with their menus. Moys provides a variety of dishes ranging from the classic Americanized general Tsos, sesame chicken etc, To unique and authentic dishes I have never even heard of, and costs a few bucks more (you get what you pay for). I settled on the Mongolian beef with fried rice after having it recommended by a friendly member of the staff. All I can say is well done moys, well done. The sauce had real depth and the fried rice was actually made correctly! (If you've had hibachi you know the value of well-cooked fried rice). Moving from New York city to Columbus was a very difficult move as a lover of quality Chinese, but after suffering through buckets worth of pre-frozen microwaved crap, I have finally found a haven of flavorful, well made Chinese in the heart of OSUs campus. Huge, delicious portions of food at a fair price and a menu that encourages you to try new dishes. It's the best Chinese I've had in the city so far.

    Moys was the first take out I got the first night in my new apartment here in Columbus. I never would have expected my first attempt at take out would be so successful! I'm a vegetarian and the vegetarian menu is excellent. I especially suggest the tofu with black bean sauce. Moys seems to really excel at tofu and spice. My boyfriend (not a vegetarian) says that the vegetable egg rolls are actually superior to the normal egg rolls. We always get take out from Moys as the restaurant itself is tiny. Also, parking is kind of a bitch. We park at the McDonalds next door and one of us stays in the car while the other runs in (to avoid any towing situation). We eat here at least once a week. I recommend it to people all the time.

    Moy's: Unless you're looking for it you might just pass it up. As far as campus food goes, it is much higher quality than the other greasy chinese take out places around. I had the general tso's chicken with hot and sour soup--pretty good! Layout wise it's very tiny inside, which means there aren't many places to sit. Additionally, when it gets busy and the door opens continuously, the room gets freezing from the cold air outside. But still, if I'm ever on campus this is where I'll choose to eat because it's delicious.

    I cannot tell you how many times someone has told me to go try this place out. And for some reason, I never made it. So I finally went. On the night of the homecoming parade. I had no idea. Really. Took me an HOUR to get there!!! (It should have taken 10 minutes, 15 at most.) I got takeout, since it was just little ol' me eating, but the lady who greeted me was very nice. So the verdict? Very good. Not FANTASTIC. But very good. I got Ma Po Tofu (with pork), rice noodle with beef, and General Tso's chicken. The last is not something I usually order, but since everyone mentioned it, I figured I'd get it. Did not like it. Sorry guys - at least I tried, right? If deep fried covered in sticky sweet salty sauce is your thing, then go for it. I'll stick to my favorites. :-) The Ma Po Tofu currently has the title of being my favorite in town. YEAH! Salty, silky tofu with bits of pork and beans - I could shovel it in all day. And the best part? The husband doesn't like tofu, so I get it ALL TO MYSELF. The rice noodles with beef were also very good - not too much noodle, and just enough sauce. Most people over do it on the noodle with not enough sauce for me. Just wish the prices were a LITTLE bit cheaper... I'd be here a lot more often.

    My favorite Chinese restaurant in Columbus. The owner is very personable although sometimes in a bad mood. I don't care- I love her anyway. I highly recommend the General Tso's Chicken. The vegetable lo-mein is also deeeeelicious. I'm not a huge fan of the appetizers here; it seems that not as much energy is put into those as is the entrees. They've got a great lunch special-- do it!

    "Sensational!" he said in his best 4-star voice. Was that Ms./Mrs. Moy who served us? (don't get any ideas about the Ms./Mrs. confusion... c'mon Yelpers, keep your head in the game). If so she was the best darn hostess I could have asked for. We went for the beef of the Mongolian and Orange variety. Both quite good, but the Orange Beef was particularly amazing and I would definitely order that again next time I'm in. No beer/alcohol here and if you're looking to have soda, there may be no free refills as they brought it in a can. Better to keep those undergrads on the straight-and-narrow and not give them too many drugs, no doubt. Also not sure exactly where you're supposed to park, but I ended up in the McDonald's lot. Didn't get towed in the hour I was gone, but it was 6pm on a Sunday. Take that for what it's worth. By the way, I'm noticing that a lot of people mention Buckeye Donuts in their review of Moy's. I'm just sayin', sounds like the people have spoken: Buckeye Donuts and Moy's need to collaborate and create a little Moy's specialty: Peking Duck-nut? Well, maybe we'll work on a combo name a little later...

    Mmmm.... Moy's... I lurve you. In the words of the boy let me just say, "the beef." Oh dear... the beef. He is obsessed. And it is succulent, juicy, and tender. Perfectly cooked.... every time. You really can't go wrong ordering the Mongolian. But ask for a little spice. We are trying to find a delicate balance because sometimes the way we say it makes them add tooooo much spice..and sometimes not enough! aah! The chicken. Just as delicious. No weird hard, dark, oddly strange syrup drenched meats here. Everything is prepared fresh and perfectly cooked. And to what the other reviewers mentioned about vegetables... yeah, you don't really get much of that. BUUUTTTTT.... if you get soup, split a meat, and get veggies on the side (rather than two meat platters) it can be enough for two depending on your appetite. Use the hot oil in your soup.....yuuuummmm!! Come here for the food...stay for the neighborhood feel.

    I really, really wanted to like Moys. Here's the thing - their positives are soooo overwhelmingly positive, but when it comes down to it - I did not like our food and had to force myself to eat the leftovers for lunch (I'm economical - can't throw it away!). First, Moy's greatness: Even though we only walked in to order take-out, the owner bustled over, shooed us into some seats, served us water, let us change the channel on the TV to watch the World Series while we waited, and even cracked a joke or 2. I loved it! Second, the chicken is likely the only place I have ever visited where it is real breast meat served. Seriously, I'll say it again because it blew my mind: Real. Breast. Meat. Not the gristley half white/brown meat usually served at a local take out joint - just true nice meat. And they don't see the need to fry every dish and I am down with that. Unfortunately, the sauces on both our dishes were blahhhh. I see the general tso's is quite beloved, but I thought it tasted like bad buffalo wing asian sauce. The Kung Pao was chopped and chilling in a watery soy sauce that really had no flavor, plus no vegetables always bums me out a bit. I thought I was about to find my next take-out love, but I will keep searching. Thanks again to the owner for the superb service though!

    A couple people were a little pushy to us about trying this place - like we were really missing out. The mala string beans and General Tso's chicken were the recommendations, so that's what we got. "Meh. I've experienced better." Describes it exactly. The General Tso's are like chicken tenders (at least the meat isn't mystery gristle like some places I guess) soaking in barbecue sauce - American barbecue sauce. Just not good. The string beans were in a not very tasty black bean sauce and ovecooked. The people were nice enough on take out, but dog gone it I want to eat good food near my house in Clintonville and I was hoping this would actually be an option. Nope. How this place gets so many positive reviews - and for these two dishes in particular - is beyond me.

    Just had dinner there last night with friends. I live in Chicago and every time I come to Columbus I come back to Moy's. Simply the best in Columbus. How do I know? Well, for starters my family had a Chinese Restaurant growing up and both my parents are amazing chefs. I grew up in Columbus, living there for 20 years. I've been to more Chinese restaurants in Columbus than most. Moy's is the best. It's a family restaurant. There's no Moy's 2 or Moy's Express. There's only one Moy's and the family makes all the food from scratch. If Guy Fieri and "Diner's, Drive-Ins, and Dives" ever expand to Chinese restaurants, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. If you live anywhere in the Columbus Metro area and love Chinese food, you gotta go here. Tell them Mike from Chicago sent you :)

    Ordered hot and sour soup it was neither sour or hot, but it was thick and dark like old motor oil. ordered Satay Beef Noodle got Beef and Onions in a simple brown sauce, very bland just salty ask for spicy got mild. ordered Chicken and Green bean noodle. It was not has bad, but overpriced. tasted like bad strip joint Chinese food. Simply put I will never eat there again.

    It was good, but definitely not the best Chinese food I've ever had. I really don't understand how the small town I'm from in Southwest Ohio has so many excellent Chinese places, and a large city like Columbus has none. Their moo goo gai pan was OK, the portion was a good size. The service was better than most places. I will definitely go back, but I'm not as impressed as everyone else. I am glad that I read someone's review about them not having as many veggies as other places. I was not as disappointed when my moo goo gai pan came with bok choy, a few mushrooms and a few slices of carrot. Definitely not as plentiful in the veg department as other places, whatever their reason may be.

    Best Orange Chicken - has orange peels and chili peppers. Adventurous? Try the jellyfish. Prices are higher but the quality and quantity make up for it. I prefer to order takeout as the atmosphere is sub-par for dates.

    You can have the most delicious bowl of wanton noodle soup here! Put some spicy red pepper oil sauce on top of the noodle, and it will taste even more delicious!

    everytime I go there I take the curry fried rice. you absolutely cannot go wrong with this dish, and I get the vegetarian version because I like my veggies. its superbly delicious, ok very spicy taste to it, and I just enjoy the experience. I have only tried a couple of other dishes but I have come back to my old favorite every time...

    I've been going to this place for about 5 times already for the past year. Today I went to have a noodle soup in this cold winter day and I was seated directly in front of the door. Cold air hits you when someone opens the door so I politely asked the lady owner/server if I can be transferred to a similar small table that someone just vacated. To my astonishment, she yelled at me "No!, No! No!" in front of a packed room of students. Well that's not how you treat customers, you treat them with dignity and politely because they are the ones who keep your business running. So my patience for this lady has finally reached its peak. I told her that she should not treat her customers like that and that she is being rude. If you think you can tolerate being treated like a piece of crap for a Chinese food that's not even the best in town, then go ahead. This arrogant, rude woman needs some manners and I wish that the city requires restaurants to have servers that are more professional.

    The best Chinese food in the OSU campus area by far. Family owned, clean, tasty. You know it is a good sign when you walk into an Asian restaurant and you're the only non Asian people in the place. And it was packed on a Thursday night at 8pm. If you are at OSU and eat at any other Chinese place you have missed out.

    Moy's might be my favorite place in Columbus. I love it so much that I almost didn't review it just to keep it to myself. They haven't had a sign for nearly 5 years so good luck finding it. Though I guess you might be able to locate it since it is directly next to Buckeye Donuts on High Street across from The Ohio State University, but I will hold out hope that you can't. This place isn't a looker, but the food is outstanding. Momma Moy (as I affectionately refer to her, though I don't know her real name) is always happy to see you and has a startlingly good memory for orders and faces. She knows not only what I want (General Tso's) but normally what the myriad of friends I bring in would like as well. Moy's is a tiny restaurant, seating roughly 45 people, but the food will rock your socks off. As I mentioned, I stick to the General Tso's Chicken which, I know, sounds very generic, but let me tell you that it is unlike anything you have had before. If barbecue and Chinese married and had a beautiful lovechild, Moy's General Tso's would be that tasty child. I have no way to describe it other than AMAZING. I often crave its deliciousness and will drive up just to get it, dine in or carry out. Mmmmm, talking about it makes me hungry. O, how I wish I had written this during business hours...

    I've been here a few times...each time I'm hoping the food will be better but I am continually disappointed. The service is great though...that's really the only reason why I am giving it a few stars. If you want really good Chinese food, I wouldn't recommend this place.

    I worship Moy's!!! Absolutely love the food. A couple of my friends introduced me to Moy's about two years ago and I swear by it... Easily the best Chinese food close to downtown. It is an unassuming family owned joint tucked in a little store front on High St next to Buckeye Donuts. It is a very simple set up... There are a couple larger tables which are always full around dinner time. One little thing... if you are looking for super fast service... this is not the right spot, especially at peak times! My friends always remind me to take my patience pills before we go.... It can get crowded and TONS of people order take out, so, order appetizers, soup, etc before your main courses so you have something to pick on while you wait. My favorite things on the menu are the bbq pork, hot and sour soup, egg rolls, most noodle dishes, chicken and string beans and just about anything the owners recommend! We have arranged a tasting menu sample and it was to die for and worth the higher prices! Moy's is fantastic! LOVE IT!!

    I love a hole-in-the-wall, run by a crazy but sweet as can be Chinese immigrant, Chinese restaurant. They remind me of home (NY). Overall, I liked Moy's, but I had some disappointments too. First, the good: I love Mrs. Moy. She is AWESOME! So nice, and so so funny. I ordered the Sesame Chicken with white rice. The sauce was its tangy usual self, maybe without the usual kick, but good enough. I enjoyed it, and felt satisfied. The not as good: There was too much sauce. I very rarely say that with Chinese. Only in cases where there's a puddle of sauce under my food when I'm done. And that's what happened here. Plus, the chicken was a little hard. Also, it's a little pricey when compared with price and portions at my favorite Chinese in the Lumbus, Tai's. Overall: I like Moy's. I'd go back. But it's not my go-to!

    This was heaven. Warm, inviting atmosphere, and just great food. I took one of the other reviewers' advice and had the Mongolian Beef. It was amazing. The vegetables were so fresh. The dish was beautiful and felt very refreshing and healthy. Apparently it was the owner and maybe her son running things, so service was a little slower than in some other restaurants, but the food made up for this. I will be back, definitely. Highly recommended and worth the price. (The portion was generous, I ate half and took the rest home for lunch the next day.)

    I love this place, I been here a few times and each time the food was on par same taste, quality, and experience. This is not your typical chinese restaurant. I normally get the general tao's chicken since I like a punch with my food. And the chicken they give you actually looks like chicken you would recognize. And yes they do give a lot of sauce, actually it's not enough for me lol, I like to take it and mix it in with the rice

    I LOVE MOY'S! They serve lots of real,traditional chinese food like stuffed bean curd (I wanted to try it,but it had frish in it). The service is amazing and they made the best veggie egg roll i've ever had. If I lived closer to cols I'd definately eat here regualarly.

    Moy's was recommended to me by a couple of Chinese professors. Loved: the owner. A zippy Chinese woman who indulged my incredibly clumsy Mandarin and taught me new phrases (you3 kun1 lai2 'come back soon, lit. have chance come'). She was busy that lunch hour but you can tell she is fun to talk to if she has a chance. Liked: Ambience. Tiny mom-and-pop place, reminds me of every tiny Chinese place I went to in Shanghai and Anhui, and Chicago's Chinatown, even down to the merry Chinese eating and talking loud. Meh: the food. I got black bean squid. The squid was tender, which is hard to do. But it was cut really big, and tasted more like seawater than squid. The other parts were also cut big, and the sauce tasted more like soy than anything else.

    meh. i know that's a sacrilegious thing to say about this beloved place but i have yet to be wowed. it's fine. try it and maybe you'll think differently. mrs. moy was straight up rude tonight. squid was really good but otherwise our seafood dishes were bland and overpriced.

    Simply the best Chinese food anywhere. The following dishes are ones that I have frequent pleasant dreams about: hot and sour soup, sesame chicken, chicken and string beans (with black bean sauce), any fried rice and Mongolian beef. All of those dishes are top-notch. Don't forget to get the tea! The ingredients are fresh as can be. Mr. and Mrs. Moy are awesome. Always fast service. I've been going there regularly for over 15 years. Just moved to Chicago and need my Moy's fix every time I come back to Columbus.

    love the bbq pork + soy sauce chicken over rice. yummy rainbow beancurd and fried rice. service may sometimes be unpleasant. so each time i walked in..i'd be a bit anxious. not sure what to expect, teehee. oh, the fortune cookies are great too. they're just the right crispiness. i bought 20 of them to go. that's how good they were. ps. this review is based on my years in osu...class of 99.

    Some of the best Chinese food in Columbus is in campustown next to OSU. Moy's Restaurant is a small, unassuming family business with a wide array of excellent dishes. Popular options are their mapo tofu (which comes meatless, as well), schechwan string bean with chicken (also available without meat), and their curry fried rice. Their vegetarian selection is great, including items like General Tso's tofu, kung pao tofu, Hunan eggplant, and others. Most weekdays find the place full at lunchtime, when the less extensive menu items come 'rice plate' style - with free soup. Dinner at Moy's features a more extensive menu, served family style. Moy's is my top choice for food near the OSU campus and one of the best places in town.

    Moy's might be a campus eatery but it's good enough to travel to for a meal. The General Tso's Chicken is my jam, and they do it so well. The owner is friendly, and they give you soup with your lunch. Can't go wrong. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG. Note: not many tables, very little room for a waiting area... So it can be cramped but it's worth it dudes.

    I could have possibly given this place 3 stars provided it wasn't ridiculously overpriced (PF Changs prices). I went here with high expectations because of the other rave reviews. I ordered the general tso's chicken to play it safe, but that proved me wrong. The chicken was a decent serving(though not worth what I paid), but it came in a few huge chunks rather than some smaller ones. The sauce was so sickeningly sweet that I could barely eat it. The crab rangoon was very average but prices around 8 dollars for 4 little pieces. Yikes? My wife had fried calamari which was very poorly fried and not crispy. Neither of us were too happy we payed 40 dollars for mediocre Chinese food. I don't know if they have something else on the menu that people find good but I wouldn't go back to this place because of my level of disappointment. I should also mention the place looks like a dumpy hole in the wall. .

    If you want a very authentic, high quality Chinese meal, and you would like a dining experience that is a little more intimate with the staff, in a smaller restaurant, then this is your place! I kinda felt like an idiot when I ordered the squid with green onion. I had asked if there were any other vegetables that came with it or that could be added. She very kindly explained (Like I'm sure she has to on a regular basis.), that all of those vegetables would most likely not all be ripe at once, and that it would take a long time for an everyday Chinese person to chop up and prepare all those vegetables that we take for granted in our beef with mixed vegetables we are so used to at our traditional American Chinese restaurants. I think that this interaction says a lot about Moy's and what it stands for, which is to prepare high quality foods, prepared in ways that you might otherwise need to travel long distances to experience.

    This is consistently the best food i've had in columbus! The lady who is always there is the best! My advice is to ask her what to order - everything is good. The dining experience and food are really great. So much food, such nice people.

    Fabulous restaurant. It's a hole in the wall place that I didn't even know was a restaurant until a couple of years ago. The lunch portions are a great deal. The owner is extremely friendly and the food is fabulous. Try their General Tso's tofu and (vegetarian) egg drop soup. I agree with other reviewers that there aren't that many tables, but I usually get mine to go. I think it's the best Chinese in Columbus, and some of the best I've had.

    Quaint atmosphere, delicious food, down-to-earth staff, just a bit pricey. A great place for lunch or a dinner date. AND it's right next to Buckeye Donuts so you can swing by and get an apple fritter afterwards. Duh.

    Oh how I love me some Moy's. It's affordable and delicious. Everything tastes fresh and the service is superb. The portions are nice and the takeout is fast. Oddly enough, everytime I've been in, there's not a crowd. Maybe it's an off time. Try the Egg drop soup, potstickers or the garlic string beans. Their schechwan items are good and spicy but not too spicy. They have a good vegetarian selection too. I'm generally not a Chinese food fan, but I'll always go back to Moy's--even though I haven't lived on campus in years.

    This would be one of those mom and pop chinese restaurants, which are always my favorite! Probably one of best in Columbus, where I ordered off menu and loved the food for its taste and authenticity, so I can say that it's the real deal. I'm not sure how the food would be on menu though. As with any mom and pop chinese restaurant, don't expect fantastic ambience and decor...just come here for the food!
