We've had mixed experiences here. First time was a few years ago and we had a weekend brunch which was fantastic and made me really want to come back. Second time was for dinner and the salmon we ordered was mediocre. We definitely agreed we had made better salmon at home. The salmon they cooked was dry and the flavor was plain. But the beef pot today was flavorful and fantastic. The spinach and artichoke dip was very nice too. The third time was breakfast and they must have been short on staff because it forever to get our orders in. First, the iced cafe mocha was iced coffee with hot chocolate powder still undisolved on the top. Then we received one thing that was incorrect and that person had to wait for the correct item to be remade while we all ate. Very disappointed in this recent visit.

Mid morning on a Saturday, seated right away despite the fact that the place was pretty full. Ordered the classic two eggs, toast, bacon and potatoes. I ordered it because of the potatoes. "Herb roasted potatoes" is what they are called. Looked delicious in the menu photos. Covered in herbs and spices. When my order arrived, they were simply fried potatoes, no herbs, no spices, no flavor. Not even salt. Rest of my dish was satisfactory. But very disappointed in the one aspect of the meal I was looking forward to. -1 star. Wife ordered lemon poppy seed griddle cakes. They looked HUGE on the menu. They were not huge. Not even big. Very average size. Below average lemon flavor too, it was subtle at best. They did taste good, but I expected more lemon-ness. -1 star. Other than those two things, the place was good, friendly and relatively fast wait staff and service. As well as clean and welcoming decor. I would certainly return here to give it another shot.

I'd first like to say that My girlfriend and I are regulars here. I've never had any issues with service, food quality, wait times, or hospitality. We just left Mimi's a little bit ago and I just felt the need to write in and voice my absolute disappointment. Our server was fantastic, and offered her recommendations, as well as went over the specials. So far so good. My girlfriend and I order, and I order the cowboy brick, my favorite. About 10 minutes later, she comes back out to tell us that this item is "not available tonight and sold out". She then apologizes and asked me what else is like. I choose the lemon brick chicken. Again, she comes back and tells me this item is no longer available. At this time, I see a table of middle aged folks ordering their food, and I can hear what they're ordering. The manager was actually the one taking their order. The lady wanted the cowboy brick chicken (10 minutes after it was supposedly not available). The manager says that the item is sold out, and the lady escalates and says that what she ordered and that's what she wants. The manager then comes ban and confirms she can get lemon brick chicken with a big smile. I ended up getting salmon which was average, and watched her get what I had ordered. I don't appreciate being lied to, not once but twice. Clearly there is a disconnect between management, the Kitchen, and the rest of the staff. Again, our waitress was cordial and kind, but this is not the world class dining experience we've had before. I saw this manager walking aimlessly with a plateful of turkey, and was unable to locate the table it was to go to. As I said, we are regulars here, but with many dining options available in Polaris, we may have to change our favorite spot.

I've resisted going here because apparently this chain is owned by Bob Evans and, well, it's a chain. Give me Nancy's, Wildflower Cafe, Northstar Cafe, or The Whitney House for breakfast/brunch any day. But, a friend suggested Mimi's Cafe for breakfast prior to an impromptu Polaris shopping trip, and it was convenient. First impression: holy mole, is this where all of suburban America comes to have brunch during the weekends? I tripped over approximately three gazillion small, unattended, and wildly running about children while making my way to our table. Also, I prefer a smaller menu during breakfast/brunch. That's because I'm hangry (hungry + getting angry because I'm so hungry) and I don't want to consult the 200+ ways I can have an omelette. But, Mimi's Cafe is one of those places with many, many options if that's your thing. Additionally, you can also order off the lunch menu during breakfast (or so it appeared when I visited). So, options galore. Anyways, both my friend and I settled on the veggie omelets, which sounded delicious (goat cheese! veggies! potatoes on the side!). I added bacon to mine because I certainly didn't want to be too healthy. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity (or 35 mins, which is kind of long for breakfast), our entrees arrived. Or kind of. My friend got her omelette and potatoes, but no toast. Mine was under cooked with the eggs still runny in the middle, no bacon, no potatoes, and no toast. Oh, we also didn't have silverware! Or ketchup (don't serve breakfast potatoes en masse without ketchup on the tables!). I will say that our server, once I was able to track her down by wandering aimlessly around the restaurant for a few minutes, made a valiant attempt to correct the situation. Though she did disconcertingly say "Have you taken a bite of your omelet? It might be someone else's! If so, I could still drop it off to another table." Anyways, about 15 minutes later, my friend had received her potatoes and toast, and I had a serviceable omelet, with the appropriate sides. And ketchup! I should also mention that manager kindly took off my omelet off my check because it was originally not made correctly. In short, I probably won't ever venture out here ever again, but if you do, the veggie omelet is very good with bacon.

Even though the atmosphere is good, but my order was like Piece of caoutchouc called steak! Tasteless food!. I expected more than what I saw. However, I don't recommend this place for breakfast.

I am glad we decide to come for breakfast. The menu is full of wonderful options, so hard to choose. The Bacon-apple waffles were oh so great. Took a carrot muffin to-go for tomorrows breakfast and can't wait to dig in. Service was prompt and pleasant.

It will do. We were in the mood for brunch but it was a weekday....landed at Mimi's Cafe. Everything was good - not amazing. Some of the food was tasty and some fell a little short on flavor. A bloody Mary is my go-to for breakfast or brunch out but I went with a mimosa flight. I especially enjoyed the cranberry. Omelets were mediocre. There were some limitations on variety in the menu but prices were inexpensive. Very chainish.

Yuck! No better than any other chain breakfast, despite what other reviews say. Decor is hideous-dark like Max & Erma's. I had eggs Benedict, assuming they would be hard to screw up- wrong! Eggs were hard-boiled almost, the English muffins were soggy from the beginning, and the Bearnaise had a strong artificial flavor to it. NOT good! Service was good. Buttermilk spice muffins are delicious. Not crazy about the carrot ones. They had the most incredible, perfectly ripe honeydew melon I've eaten in years, which shocked me. I like First Watch much better, as far as chains go.

I'm part of a "dine-out group" that goes out as a group once a month. Last night we visited Mimi's Cafe on Polaris Parkway. We normally visit Mimi's about once a year and this was our 1st visit in just over a year. They've tweaked the menu since our last visit and now offer a nice variety of choices including some French inspired entrees, a nice selection of burgers and sandwiches and seafood. They were also running a special with all wine being offered at $5 a glass. I tried the fish and frites (chips) which were excellent - a nice sized serving of piping hot fish with a nice crisp breading and excellent chips. Others in our party who tried the fish and frites were also pleased. My wife, on the other hand, tried their grilled Atlantic salmon which was one of their featured entrees last night. She found it to be OK but not great - a bit over-cooked and consequently a bit dry. It needed more sauce or something to overcome the dryness. Not being a big fan of lemon, I gave here the 2 lemon wedges that cam with my fish and that helped. After tasting her salmon - I can confirm that it was indeed dry. These ordering burgers were generally please with their burgers. Service was excellent - which is always a challenge when you have a group of 30 people. The wait staff was up to the occasion and service was exceptionally good. We were in the sort of private back room and it was interesting to note that as we were leaving around 8:30 PM on a Friday night - that the main dining area was nearly deserted.

No hostess on duty when we arrived so we had to poke our head into the other room. Promptly seated. She promised to bring more ice for the already cold ice tea but never delivered. Dinner is really slow in coming. Indeed, the French onion soup was not hot, so it was sitting around. When the entree arrived it was wrong. And when the manager came by I said things were only ok and he offered a complimentary desert which was thoughtful but when we finished with dinner the waitress asked if we would like desert! I told her the manager's offer and she said that he comped my dinner. I am so confused. I guess they want to improve but I don't know...

I hear they don't pay their employees. Actually , I know for a fact they don't pay their employees, and when you try to speak with headquarters or the payroll office , they ignore your calls, voicemails, and emails. Thank god there's laws against this sort of thing.

We went in here with some skepticism as the reviews here on Yelp seem pretty wildly all over the map. Our experience however was a positive one through and through. We went on a Saturday for brunch, approximately 11am. It was quite busy but we were able to get in and get seated within 10 minutes as the place is a huge place. My fiance Stefanie ordered the pancakes and I ordered the Corned Beef Benedict. We also added a side of 4 strips of bacon. I really love the booths here, they are pretty large and I was able to stretch out and relax. The great thing too is the noise level isn't crazy like it can be sometimes at other places (First Watch & Bob Evans I'm looking at you!!) where one goes to get a nice breakfast. After about 15 minutes our food arrived and, as you can see from the pics, looked simply fantastic. I was a bit skeptical that my Corned Beef Benedict would fill me up as it didn't look like a lot but it turned out to be just perfect...I got full but not stuffed. And wow, was the food so tasty. When I return here I will find it hard to order something other than the Corned Beef Benedict because quite simply I had never tasted anything like it. Stefanie was also pretty impressed with her pancakes, although I'm not sure she was as impressed as I was. The bacon was large and crispy and perfect bacony bacon! The best part is the check came and it wasn't a huge hit to the wallet. The prices here for what you get are a great value, at least from what we ordered. This is definitely at the top of my list to return to for breakfast and lunch and I'd highly recommend it to anyone that is tired of the same ol' Bob Evans. P.S. - We asked for free muffins as it was our first visit and when we were getting ready to leave a manager came up and thanked us for coming, asked us how we enjoyed our dining experience and gave us two large free muffins. Very nice!

This is the lowest rating I've ever given but two stars is being generous. A friend and I visited the Polaris location this past Sunday and it was a complete disappointment. No greeted us at the door, our waitress was spacey and it took FOREVER to get our food. The food looked amazing in the pictures on the menu but the portion size was laughable. I ordered the Santa Fe omelet and let me tell you, I make a yummier and bigger omelet at my house! To top it off, there was a group of people getting wasted on their mini bellini's...really? Never again.

Mimi's Cafe is French-American cuisine. So you have a choice of traditional bacon eggs, or you can try a waffle with apples and orange zest. Overall I'm really not impressed. This is not the type of food you crave and come back for time and time again. The food is just okay, average with no real flavor.

I am impressed no more. The service is still very good, but my frustration is with the menu. There is an extreme lack of vegetarian-friendly items, so I typically get a salmon dish (I am a pescetarian). My favorite salad (before mentioned Nicoise) was eliminated so yesterday I got the Chicken Chop Salad. They allowed me to substitute the chicken for salmon. The salmon was very well prepared, but the salad itself was lacking. It was mostly iceberg, with a few strips of red bell pepper and mandarin oranges. I ate the good stuff, and the server asked if I wanted a box for the rest. I did not. This was probably my last visit here. I understand switching up the menu, but this is a chain restaurant. I would suggest offering a veggie burger, and more salads without bacon and chicken. Of course, I could order one of those minus a few ingredients, but then I would be paying full-price for fewer items.

Nothing about my experience was especially bad, but I can list a dozen brunch spots with better food at a better price. I'm just very underwhelmed by Mimi's. The wait was 45-50 minutes so we snagged a table at the bar. Nobody ever came to wait on us or even offer a drink so after 15 minutes we had to get up and ask. The sunrise mimosas we got were really good, but they the only thing we were given to drink even though we asked for waters several times. We ordered the apple bacon waffles and the strawberry & creme waffles. For $10 per plate, the portions were pathetic. The food was just ok. One plate came out cold. Again it wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about. I had heard that you get muffins on your first visit, but nobody ever asked if we had been there before. I'm a little bummed that I didn't get my muffins. Mediocre service, great cocktails, overpriced nothing special food. I'd recommend passing on Mimi's Cafe.

Came for breakfast at 8:45am on a Sunday, 3/4 your restaurant was empty but you insist we have to wait. Waited 10 min and another couple comes in and you seat them after telling them it is a 5 minute wait. You claim they had reservations but she didn't say they had reservations- I heard the conversation and you definitely didn't look on any reservation list. Therefore we left and will be going elsewhere and you better believe we won't be back (your service and food have taken a dive in the last 2 years anyway from undercooked salmon on my salad to the kids meals being gross). I wouldn't go there if I were you! The guy didn't even apologize nor did he explain how we were the ONLY couple waiting in a 3/4 empty restaurant.

Great breakfast or brunch. Cappuccino was well made, lots of options for brunch cocktails. I had the frittata (egg whites, ham, tomato) which came with fruit and turkey sausage. Generous portion. My mom had a blueberry muffin and quiche Lorraine which came with potato. She felt the chunky potatoes were a bit undercooked. Overall the only complaint. Excellent service, she came by to check and provide coffee refills regularly. With our bill she presented us with 2 complimentary muffins since it was out first visit. Menu price is $1.99-muffin. A pricier breakfast than a greasy spoon at $28 but a nicer breakfast and lovely atmosphere.

Stopped here randomly for lunch with my mother and daughter. If this restaurant is doing poorly it's because of the non-descript outside. To call Mimi's "traditional American" is ridiculous. This restaurant is a French cafe with some "American" dishes added to the menu, I assume to placate the masses. My mom and I ordered the trio of deviled eggs to start and they were quite good; I'd like to go back to try the Seven Meatballs appetizer. We also each got the quiche Lorraine which came with a green salad - both were good and a nice portion. My daughter wanted macaroni and cheese but the kids menu serves Kraft mac and cheese for $4.50 - no, I do not think so. I ordered her the chicken and bacon Tillamook mac and cheese. And Tillamook is a very nice *brand* of cheese, not a type of cheese you've never heard of (which is what my mom thought). All three of us liked the macaroni and cheese. I got the creme brûlée cheesecake for dessert. Meh, it was okay. Just cheesecake they'd put burnt sugar on top of, so literally brûléed cheesecake; I guess I expected something more creative. It also came with a bizarre and unnecessary strawberry sauce that I felt made no sense. However I cannot give Mimi's 5 stars, even though my mother and I have already said we'll return for the food, because the service is not good. Sure everyone was *nice* but our waitress straight up vanished for about 30 minutes - I believe she went on her break but didn't have anyone cover her tables while she did. A different waitress brought our food and then never checked in with us. Our meals came with a muffin and we had told our server what kinds we wanted, yet we didn't get muffins until our meal was over and we said to our waitress, "Um, we never got our muffins." This wouldn't have been a problem except, like I said, after our food came we didn't see a server again until we were completely finished with our entrees. When our waitress, Doreen, finally returned from her break (I know that's where she was), she had a big stack of checks to deliver to all of her tables. I guess at Mimi's the attitude is: do all your tables have food? Okay go on break for 30 minutes. Bad service would keep us away, but good food was enough to compensate. Oh and when we did finally get our muffins (my mom asked right before we left) and took them home they were good and moist. I had the carrot raisin and mom had the blueberry.

Very slow service. Usually we are huge fans of MiMi's but today they're service is very slow and not as friendly as usual. Pretty disappointed since this is the only Mimi's that I am aware of since others closed down.

We had a party of 9, July 11, 2015. We really were looking forward to our meal, since having delicious mufins for breakfast. We were sooo very wrong. The service was horrible. Beverages took way too long. They did not even come out at hte same time. One group of the party had to wait til appetizer was delivered to get there drinks. Salads were forgotten with meals. Orders were taken incorrectly and nothing arrived at the same time. Very disappointed.

My family and I have eaten here on a few different occasions, always for dinner, and it's always been good food and great service! Today my mom and I ate lunch there for the first time and we, yet again, had excellent service and good food. I ordered the tuna & cheddar melt with soup on the recommendation of our server and while it wasn't the best I have ever had, our waitress and the manager went above and beyond to make up for my not liking the sandwich. I wasn't even prepared to complain or ask for a comp and they VOLUNTEERED it! I received numerous apologies - all were unnecessary but appreciated! Along with multiple apologies, they gave me two muffins to enjoy later! This restaurant is one of the few I've been to that ALWAYS has stellar customer service.

I definitely recommend MiMi's - sit in Doreen's section!! She is such a sweetheart and gave exceptional service!! We dined for lunch, and I plan on returning to try their breakfast! Their muffins and bacon and blue cheese salad are awesome!!

Eaten here a few times and never been overly impressed, but this was probably the worst so far. Seated us in a quiet section, which was very nice. Food was good, though they crammed my filled French toast into the same small plate as over-easy eggs and bacon and then forgot the fruit cup. Our server had zero personality, never even gave us her name or made any menu recommendations. In all fairness she had warmed up very slightly toward the end; perhaps she wasn't fully awake yet. (Though this was 10:30 in the morning.) Overall, portion sizes small in comparison to pricing and service not good enough to compensate, at least for weekday breakfast.

Saturday morning breakfast. Seated quickly, nice server.. I had basic bacon, eggs, bacon & toast. The Mrs. had a spinach/tomato/avocado omelet that she deemed wonderful. Very good coffee. Food was attractive and well-prepared. With their BOGO internet coupon, the check for both of us was under $20.

French-inspired breakfast restaurant with great breakfast options such as croque madame, pain perdu, crepes, croissants, omelets, waffles, benedicts, and quiches. croque madame is advertised on top of a waffle though the "waffle" tasted more like a "biscuits and gravy" since it got soggy with all the breakfast juices from the piled on egg and ham. some of the best muffins in the polaris area which you can get to go. Also, the small baby potatoes provencal side that comes with the omelettes and benedicts is PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned. they have a rotating seasonal muffin flavor which was the pumpkin spice at the time i wrote this. i got a cappuccino that i enjoyed. bacon and ham are a tad bit on the salty side. restaurant has an eccentric cozy ambiance with moderate noise level. check your seat before you sit down because one visit there were some crumbs that were not cleaned off. wait staff are friendly and polite but not always prompt.

Wait staff not here even though 1/3 restaurant full. Waited ten minutes to seating. Cold gummy tiny pancakes but at least the coffee is hot. Food quality is iffy & can't find waitress to complain. I doubt I come back for a long long tone

People rave about this place, but I have to say the food was quite bland. My sister, mom and I went for brunch and were really excited to try the food. Maybe it was becuase it was a Sunday, maybe it was becuase the brunch period was almost over. Either way, the food was underwhelming. I will say this, the service was fantastic. The general manager came to our table to thank us for coming and offered us complimentatry muffins!

I went to this place because my cousin said it was good. When I got there I called her and asked what was good, all she said was good was Parmesan chicken...I'm like "Really? That's all you've had?" Lol, so I decided to be brave and try the coq au vin which was a chicken that looked delicious. When it came out it tasted like brown gravy and was pretty salty. My boyfriend go the salmon which was nothing special at all. You could cook this at your own home. His mojito was supposed to be a black cherry flavored moito but it tasted bland and no hint of cherry but the bar tender insisted it was cherry. Overall, this place was just plain and salty. I wouldn't really come back here again although our waiter was nice.

Birthday lunch with wife. She was disappointed with her very average ham and Swiss omelet. My smoked salmon Benedict was tasty, however side of fruit was seven grapes with two Orange garnishes. Great prices on wines by the glass. She had her heart set on bread pudding dessert...her motivation for choosing Mimi's. After ten minutes server informed us they were out! We left and had dessert elsewhere. Special day but not a special choice. Doubt we will return.

I fell in love with Mimi's Cafe while living in Oklahoma City. After moving to Ohio two years ago, to my surprise, there was a Mimi's here at Polaris. I love the way I feel when I'm there. It's such a confortable, homey feel. I generally will get the liver and onions (I know, I know!!) But it's delicious! And you can also add bacon and mushrooms for an added taste. I always start with a cup of the French onion soup. Believe me, it's amazing! Upon one visit, somebody I was with ordered the salmon. It was a bit small for what you're paying. So you may want to steer clear of that. By the time I'm finished eating....I'm too full for dessert. You can always take home some of their delicious muffins! Love LOVE this place!!

Learn how to poach an egg before you offer four different versions of eggs benedict!!!!!!!! We were visiting from out of town and decided to try some take-out the morning of our departure. I ordered the eggs benedict and my companion, the chicken and waffles (a favorite of his). Being a great lover of eggs benedict and noticing there are 4 variations, it seemed like an obvious choice. Thank goodness my husband bothered to pick up a blueberry muffin while he was there, because it was the only delicious item in the order. I totally enjoyed the overwhelming vanilla taste and soft spongey texture, but my husband did not. As I've mentioned, the eggs benedict was beyond disappointing. In fact, the worst I've ever had from a restaurant (I would have sent them back had I been dining in). The hollandaise sauce was almost nonexistent and the eggs soooooo far beyond poached, they'd not only solidified but had become a gelatin like substance, half opaque and half translucent. The eggs were so unappetizing and the english muffin so soggy that the only edible portions of my breakfast were the potatoes and ham wedged between the over-cooked egg and soggy muffin. I occasionally cook at home and would never consider the dish I received to be acceptable to feed to friends or family, much less sold at a restaurant. The menu looked delicious and we travel here often, but because of this experience we will absolutely AVOID this restaurant. For goodness sakes! Please learn how to poach eggs BEFORE offering any eggs benedict!!!!!

So I hear this is owned by Bob Evan's? So it's like Bob Evan's with booze? That's not a complaint. I love Bob Evan's. I love breakfast foods. I've been to this location for a sunday brunch and a weekday lunch - it's been good. The french onion soup is delicious - but I plan on coming back and trying a grilled cheese and tomato soup.

1.5 stars. This is just not my kind of place. The decor and ambiance is a bit old feeling. I ordered the jambalaya and it was very sub par. It was lacking flavor and it all tasted mushy; just no texture at all. I like to go to restaurants and have a cocktail or a beer, maybe and app and relax while I wait for my meal. I did not get this feeling here, as I was pressured to order and I didn't even feel interested in having a drink. There are so many good places to dine in the area, so try one of those.

Happy Halloween to me. Having already missed trick or treat due to work, I came here instead to redeem a coupon for 4 free muffins with the purchase of a meal. Service was great, even better than usual, with the young man helping me - Andy according to my bill - going out of his way to make sure that I could use the coupon with the "3 course meal" deal and being more polite than even the normal Mimi's server. And service here is always pretty good. I also wanted to comment that the special menu item, chicken madeira crepes, is terrific. A great blend of savory flavors with nice chunks of tender chicken in the delicate, slightly crispy crepe, it's hearty without being too heavy. It's served with a fresh chopped salad doused in basalmic dressing, my favorite, and definitely worth trying if you like mushrooms and madeira sauce. The three course meal also comes with a dessert. This time, I tried the chocolate mousse, which is really quite good. Very dense with a solid chocolate flavor, I think it's the best dessert I've had here. ...I mean, aside from the muffins. Which are always amazing.

Let me get this out of the way: the best part of my experience at Mimi's was the company, not the food or the atmosphere. I was catching up with a friend after many years of separation and my mind was on the conversation, not the restaurant. But that won't stop me from reviewing the joint! I was immediately impressed with the service: the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Also, they have muffins. Lots of muffins. Muffins with your meal. Muffins for desert. Muffins to go. Free muffins for first-time customers. If you like muffins, try Mimi's muffins. Their muffins are wonderful. Wonderful muffins. Alas, muffins don't a restaurant make. I ordered the Salmon Provence Salad. It seems to be inspired by the classic Salade Nicoise. Mimi's version has greens, cucumber, feta, egg, red potatoes, artichokes, tomatoes, and a citrus tang to the dressing. It's topped with a "petite salmon filet" that gave me the unfortunate idea it had once been frozen. Similarly, the artichoke hearts gave me that sense of having come from a can. Good idea, mediocre execution. The clam chowder was just fine. Exactly what one would expect from clam chowder in Columbus, Ohio. I don't know why I keep ordering clam chowder here instead of, say, corn chowder. The clams hadn't seen the inside of their shells in quite some time, but the soup was acceptable. Another reviewer compared Mimi's to an upscale Bob Evans -- quite appropriate, given that Bob Evans Co. owns the Mimi's chain. My overall impression: decent but not spectacular, like Bob's. The menu is gigantic, like Bob's. I almost give this place 4 stars, but I must admit my expectations were higher going in. I'd be perfectly happy to return, but if I do, it will probably be for the company, not the food. The muffins were good. Did I mention the muffins?

Lovers of breakfast, go here. Or lovers of dinner, or lunch, or just eating for that matter. My trip, however, was for breakfast, where I enjoyed the most delightful, light - but filling - combination of eggs, fruit and a muffin all for under $7. And the coffee was equally as tasty - not too acidic. The first thing that caught my eye was the quaint little patio that was screaming: "Eat your breakfast here!" I listened and the it truly made my breakfast all the better. Attentive, friendly service; always-full coffee cup; delicious breakfast; decent prices. Not too shabby, Mimi.

For all the decoration, pomp, pretention, and circumstance the food is average. The real disappointment was the suspect service. Restaurant 1/2 full mid-morning on a Saturday should have offered coffee or at least brought water before 5 minutes passed. Bad service with effort is understandable, but slow and disinterested will take my breakfast dollars elsewhere. Not worth the premium price.

Awesome for breakfast/brunch (5 stars) - their lunch/dinner I give 4. They do have full bar service but beers are limited and pretty routine. Wines are a better option. Lunch & dinner are basically primped up Bob Evans foods (Mimi's is owned by Bob Evans).

Deciding where to eat lunch in the Polaris area feels a bit like being a 6 year old with free rein in the cereal isle. Sensory overload, too many choices and lots of things that look the same. Since I don't venture up this direction too often I didn't have a "go to" spot and almost ended up at (blah) Applebees. Luckily I remembered about a cute little place I'd dined at before ever moving to Columbus. Que Mimi's Cafe. Mimi's is 'ador' with it's Creole inspirations that translate to a very french (but not stuffy) and New Orleans (but not topless/Mardi Gras- yeah I know, color me disappointed too) ambiance. This place screams 'brunch', or 'Mother's Day' or 'Ladies who Lunch' but today my date and I decided to try Mimi's out on a regular ol' Monday in the middle of a work day. In the past I have ordered the Mama's Trio appetizer (fried zucchini, chicken tenders, and spinach and artichoke dip with bread, french of course), the turkey pesto on ciabatta bread ( mmmmm pesto,I have an 'I heart Pesto' bumper sticker) and the Cajun Chicken Alfredo. All 3 of these items were fabulous- flavorful and felt more unique than most chain restaurant food (i.e. Applebees). Today I ordered the Cobb Salad (small size- which was way more than enough) which came with a big ol' fresh muffin for only $7.99. I think they had an extensive list of muffin options but I happen to be in the bathroom when our order was taken and my date stated that he only heard "bla bla bla blueberry bla bla bla" Did I mention his favorite muffin is blueberry?? Don't worry yelpers, he's cute enough to make up for it (unless it would have been bran, even Gerard Butler couldn't make up for bran). Date ordered one of the lunch combo's that came with soup (or salad) and citrus grilled shrimp with asparagus and a light basalmic dressed salad on the side. The shrimp were incredibly flavorful and moist and served with a pesto aioli on top (did I mention my 'I heart Pesto' hand towel collection too?) The soup we chose was corn chowder which was hearty and had nice flavor: perfect on this blustery cold day. This combo was only $9.99 and the portion was great especially for a lunch (I think there were 8-10 shrimp total). Final thoughts: The menu is extensive, the service was dependable and friendly, the ambiance is a step above most chains. I think Mimi's claim to fame is probably more so breakfast oriented but there is plenty to choose from at lunch or dinner too. Even with the overwhelming choices in the Polaris area, I would not hesitate to go back. Prices, muffins (forced flavor aside) and even my date all exceeded my expectations - Merci beau coup Mimi's!

I just went for break fast and found it to be less than average. I didn't enjoy the coffee at all, but the service was fine. The bacon was too burnt for my taste. If you are looking for just your average dinner, I think this will suffice. No highs and no lows really.

Mimi's Cafe-those quiche breakfast plates-the broccoli & cheese! I first ate at the one in Dallas, Texas. When I found out there was one in Columbus-oooh! I even stopped there after a job interview last Saturday! Eating my quiche in the car on the way back to Cleveland! I will frequent Mimi's when I get back to Columbus! How do you say YUMMY in French? :)

Took my seventen year old niece, Courtney, to Mimi's for lunch and then out for a manicure/pedicure. We don't get together much, just the two of us, so I wanted some place where we could sit and visit, and was also sort of "girlie". (I'm surrounded by men and my house, and she and her mom are the sole girls at her house, too.) First of all, it was very, very busy. I dropped her off at the door and had to park a zillion miles away. Okay. I could use the hike. Anyway, it was quite a wait. Tables just weren't moving. Maybe it was because of the cold outside, but people were just camped. I'd set our pedicure appointments for 3:15, and thought we'd have plenty of time. We waited quite a while, and had the opportunity to look over the menu while we were waiting, so by the time we sat down, we were ready to order. The server was pretty quick to attend to us. I ordered a raspberry lemonade and the Turkey Pistachio Salad croissant with french fries and Courtney ordered a fancy coffee drink with Salmon, mashed potatoes and a vegetable (sorry, concentrated on my food...forgot to note her veggie...green beans, maybe). We also ordered fried pickles. The server was very nice. We told him we had manicures scheduled, we didn't have much time, so not to worry about what "order" the food came out in. We were okay getting the pickles with the dinner, or even a little after. My drink was okay, although a little to "syrupy" in the bottom. This just made it way too sweet. It helped stirring it up well with my straw, and adding water from my water glass. Won't get it again, because it just wasn't to my taste. However, I can certainly understand why others may like it. Courtney enjoyed her drink, as well. The pickles were served pretty quickly. The basket of them was HUGE. We didn't come close to finishing them. And we are not of the petite appetite sort of girls. The pickles were cut like "coins", rather than the spears (which I prefer because you get more "pickle" flavor over "fried" flavor. Still, they weren't bad. Hot and crispy. Like most places, they were served with Ranch dressing. Unlike most places, they were also served with 1000 Island dressing. I tried them both, and to my surprise, I actually like them with the 1000 Island better! I'll have to remember that next time I get fried pickles some place else. My sandwich was delicious, but also of monstrous size. I ate about half, and then picked the turkey salad out of the other side. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would definitely order it again. The fries were...meh. Not bad. Not good. Just there. Next time I'll get something else. Courtney ate about half of her dinner, but reported it good. It sure looked good, anyway. While the server was fast with our meal, and also kept our waters filled, when it came time for the bill, we had to wave him over. I guess we ate pretty quickly, and certainly weren't "clean platers" (not our fault, the servings were huge), but he did know that we had an appointment to keep. So, ding for that. I was happily surprised that Courtney got a variety four-pack of muffins to take home. They looked delicious. Admittedly, I was a little jealous about that. Last time I was there, I was a first timer, and didn't get any muffins! I know, jealousy is unbecoming...but they looked so good. I wanted them so bad. Still, what a great hook to get people to come back. I hear that they are very good at muffins!!

This is a really great restaurant! The menu covers everything from breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and drinks. Within that, there are comfort foods, healthier options, and all sorts of cultural fusions in between. I can easily compare it to a scaled up version of T.G.I.Friday's. The decor is quite cute. It resembles an over sized French cafe, with a Mardi Gras vibe for sure, just like Fen Z. mentioned. The pictures are cartoon caricatures of chubby French chefs, or slender and seductive women. It's a very free-love, happy kind of aura. I would like to give credit to the meatloaf. Not something I would normally order (as now I do not eat meat). It was amazing. It tasted like it was marinated, I guess because it was so soft and moist. I didn't get the mashed potatoes, so I can't say what they are like. I also very much enjoyed the blue cheese and walnut salad...adapted for me, of course. Which is a good side note, they have no problem altering the dish to your preference.

Ok, the best way to depict this place...up scale Bob Evans. I know that's simple of me and not very creative but in the end neither is the food. Don't get me wrong, it's good but it's forget-able which is sad for a restaurant. 1. the buzz has worn off on the place which isn't a bad thing for me but the service should be better/faster,if it's not busy. 2. when it is busy the service is too fast and you get everything at once. The only happy medium I've found is at the bar,the service there is right on the money. I'm just not excited about the place once I sit down as I am when I walk in...I kind of want to walk out, without ordering food.

I can see why seniors like it... but I am not there yet The food was ok, but played up funky combinations to make the menu just as unpredictable as the service I knew we should have gone to First Watch...

I LOVE this restaurant. I've never had a bad meal there. The service has always been great, any time of the day. Just left dinner, and I'm already trying to get my girlfriend to go back for breakfast tomorrow!! Keep it up, Mimi's, and I'll keep driving 30 miles for dinner!

I try to avoid sit-down chain restaurants, but sometimes I have to entertain certain people (i.e. my parents) who consider Olive Garden "too ethnic" and wouldn't be caught dead in an actual ethnic restaurant (not even Mexican). So Mimi's Cafe is a pretty good compromise. Any restaurant that serves breakfast all day gets high marks from me. In fact I've never gotten anything here apart from eggs, waffles, bacon, omelets, etc. To tell the truth, the last three or four times, I've gotten the "Five-Alarm Santa Fe Omelet," which, while not spicy at all, is delicious. It comes with some pretty good redskin potatoes, a muffin (you get your choice but I recommend the buttermilk spice) and glass of juice (bonus!). So the omelet is good, but the reason I always get it is that not a whole lot on the menu appeals to me. They've got your standard breakfast stuff and your standard "American" stuff, kind of like Bob Evans with maybe 10% more creativity. But the breakfast stuff is good. Decor is interesting at least... lots of French Quarter-type balconies and murals around. Service has been excellent, with a couple of exceptions.

A solid establishment. Cute (enough) and spacious. I devoured the crab, sweet corn and asparagus quiche. Devoured because I was both starving and content with the flavor. I was also instructed to order a muffin by a friend and was glad that I did. The bran muffin had a good consistency and great flavor. My orange juice...standard. All in all, I'd come back. It's a pretty decent joint compared to a lot of other places that cook your food in grease to the 17th power and at this point in my life, I can only handle 16 powers of grease.

Went there for dinner around Christmastime, and had a great meal. The food was very good and the prices very reasonable. I'm not sure if this is a chain type place (I live in Cincinnati and we don't have one), but it was a stand out among all the other chain restaurants around Polaris.

Great service! I enjoyed the quiche I had for lunch....so Mimi...."give me a little quiche, will ya Hon?" We mentioned to the waitress that we needed a little extra time to peruse the menu since it was our first visit. Before the meal was up, the manager came around and gave us complimentary muffins (one of their specialties) to take home.....Wow....how nice was that? I'll be back!

I wanted to like it. I really did. But after being there twice, I just can't... 1) It is almost impossible to get in without reservations. And even WITH reservations, you will be waiting in the insanely small waiting area for the rest of your party. The waiting area is smushed up right against the bar, so if you're sitting in the bar, you're probably having a pretty sub-par experience with all the starving would-be patrons crowded around you. 2) It is MUCH. TOO. LOUD. Yes, that is worthy of all caps. Part of this is I have a cochlear implant, and part of it is the design of the main room, with its high ceiling. But it is ENTIRELY too loud. You can hardly hear what other people are saying, and I've gotten confirmation on that from "normal hearing" people. 3) The tables are too close together, so moving around can be a bit of a maze. The quiches are great, as are the muffins. But getting in there, and the dining experience, definitely make it subpar. The decor is lovely--but it's not conducive to conversation.

I love this place! It's the cutest place ever for brunch. Most of the time I end up at First Watch, but I would love to go here more often. I just don't because it's all the way up at Polaris so it's not very close. If it were closer I'd be here all the time. Mimi's looks like a quaint little French cottage. It's not really that small, but it gives you the false impression that it is. It's colorful and cute on the outside, and the inside is the same but also very decorated with stained glass windows and little trinkets all over the place. I'm not sure if it's supposed to, but it feels French to me. And besides it being up by Polaris, the location sucks because it's actually right in front of the mall. It's really easy to spot from Polaris Parkway and it's right by the exit coming off of 71, but you have to drive back through this parking lot area to get to it and it's kind of a pain. And the traffic is often bad in this area, especially on prime shopping days (i.e. the weekend). But once you get past all that and get inside, you'll find that it's worth it. The atmosphere is French like I mentioned, but more a fun vibe as opposed to upscale. Not to say that it's not a nice restaurant, but you don't need to be dressed up or anything to come here. It feels almost like Mardi Gras without all the flashing and beads. And maybe a little less alcohol, but I guess that would be up to you. They do have a bar here. A former boyfriend used to take me here for brunch a lot. That was the first time I'd ever been to Mimi's and I instantly loved it. It's just impossibly cute. The service was great and we always got our food promptly. We'd usually come and he'd get Bloody Marys and I'd order a Mimosa for us to share - he couldn't resist. I think that Mimi's is the only place that I've ever actually had a mimosa! The menu here was a nice mix of breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've never been here for dinner, but the other two are great. The menu is really unique, I think. Breakfast ranges from pancakes to quiches, lunch is anything from soups and sandwiches to burgers and dinner, from what I've seen of the menu, looks like steaks and pastas, stuff like that. I remember that my favorite breakfast/brunch meal was crepes. I'm not sure if they still have them, but they used to have crepes that were filled with fruit and cream and they were delicious. I was definitely drawn into the French atmosphere and wanted a French style breakfast. Another favorite of mine that is a must-try is the French toast breakfast that's stuffed with cream cheese. It's way more like a dessert than a brunch meal, but it's so amazing. I remember on one of our brunch outings, I let my boyfriend try a bite of my French toast and he liked it so much he shared that with me before he even touched his food. It's also got orange marmalade on it, and it's topped with fresh fruit. To help it feel like more of a meal, it's also served with eggs and bacon or sausage. So good and so filling! I would have had leftovers but he finished what I couldn't eat. The bad thing about the breakfasts is that some of that menu isn't served all day. I can't remember what time - I think it's noon - they stop serving breakfast so if you are craving breakfast, you can't sleep in too late. I wish all of it was served all day! Another time my friend and I went out to lunch with our mothers. We wanted them to see this cute little place so we took them here. It was too late for breakfast, so we all stuck to the lunch menu. I got a turkey sandwich but got it on a croissant. It was delicious, and I also got a side of broccoli cheese soup. It was all really good. Not quite as good as the breakfast, but we all really liked it. All the food looks so good here, but I'm just such a fan of the breakfast. Mimi's is a little bit pricey. I think that meals are around $10 a person, not including drinks. We tended to spend a lot when we'd come here for breakfast and get mimosas and bloody marys. It's not too bad, but definitely not as cheap as First Watch. But the food here is high-quality, so it makes sense that you would pay a little more. Apparently Mimi's is owned by Bob Evans. In my opinion, Mimi's blows Bob's out of the water. It's so much nicer and the menu is a while lot more diverse and exciting. This is a great place to try some familiar sounding dishes that have a new twist. To me, this place is nothing like Bob Evans, which I like. At Mimi's you can get your meals to go, but don't! I suggest coming and sitting down to eat. You just can't miss out on this atmosphere, which makes it one of my favorites. You won't get the full experience if you don't stick around. I would give this place 5 stars, but minus 1 for the location since it's not in the best spot and also for being a little costly.

I came here for a late breakfast today. And the first thing that caught my eye was a menu item named a Crab cake Florentine Benedict. This is similar to their eggs benedict but substitutes crab cakes for the bacon. Well you didn't have to ask me twice. I also got a small orange juice and three nice sized pieces of fruit for the same price. It was a good deal and a good breakfast!

This would've been a solid 3 stars had it not been for the service. We went in for a late dinner, almost 9pm. We were seated in the "quiet section" according to the nice hostess. The decor was pretty forced French but it was obvious this was an upscale Bob Evans...nay...Le Bob Evans and the prices reflected this. We perused the menu front and back thoroughly and laid them down before our server E came over, introduced himself and walked away. Our menus were closed, signaling we were ready to get down to business and he didn't even ask for our drink orders. 5 minutes later he comes back and gets our drink orders and zipped off before we could say we were ready to order dinner. He comes back with our drinks and drops off 2 pieces of the carrot bread and 1 sourdough roll and finally takes our order. I get the roasted turkey dinner with cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes and veggies which I upcharged $.50 for asparagus. The hubby got the Beef Dip sandwich with cheese, peppers, mushrooms and onions, fries and subbed a side salad for his cole slaw. (Which E did not indicate there would be a charge for) All around us were people flagging him down and getting apologies left and right for one reason or another because he would disappear constantly. The carrot muffins were good but the butter was tasteless and the roll was too. When our entrees finally came we dug in. My mini Thanksgiving dinner was good. Not the best I've ever had but sufficient for Le Bob Evans. A few bites in the hubby said "uh yeah, where are my cheese, onions, peppers and mushrooms?" Nothing. So we had to wait forever for him to wander back our way. He told him and he took it back like he was going to have them add it to his sandwich. 10 minutes later, my dinner is almost cold because I refused to eat alone and have him do the same when he got his. The least the guy could've done was bring his side salad he asked for but no, never got that. He finally brings it back, slaps it on the table and turns his back and says "sorry about that" and I said "yeah, sounds like it." He apologized to the other table for something and then saw I'd put my low tea glass on the tableside. He got the hint and got us refills (the only way we were gonna get them). The food was decent but this guy was ridiculous and everyone who had him was seriously miffed. We get the bill and of course we're charged $2 for the salad he never brought. From the time we noted the error to the time we'd had it corrected and paid to get the hell outta there, it was 15 minutes. We spied him in the corner looking confused that we gave him cash and I was waiting for him to take off his socks to count. We were highly irritated and the first thing I'll think of when I think of Mimi's is this horrible service instead of the decent food. (Should've known better since other reviews have noted crappy service as well. Sigh)

FINALLY... a dependable breakfast spot and one that is ten times better than First Watch, Bob Evans, etc.! Mimis Cafe is a chain that originated on the West Coast and is slowly penetrating the Midwest and East Coast. MC is a family dining restaurant that generally attracts a more upscale clientele. The decor itself is quite hard to describe. There were two dining areas and each had their own feel and theme. My mom and I were seated at the New Orleans dining room, which definitely had a Mardi Gras vibe to it. To say it screamed Mardi Gras would be putting it lightly. There was ample seating when my mom arrived and we had a hard time deciding which table to choose... the typical booths comfy cushioned seats or the round booths with the equally comfy cushioned seats. Decisions. We opted for the former since it was just the two of us. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus are quite overwhelming. I personally had a hard time deciding what to get for breakfast but finally decided on the Pain Perdu Breakfast (French toast stuffed w/ cream cheese and orange marmalade, two eggs, bacon, potatoes, and apple juice.) I didn't even have to add any maple syrup to my French toast since it was already quite yummy as it is with the hunk of cream cheese filling. My bacon sadly fared low on the crunch factor, so I ended up eating most of the potatoes which were really flavorful. My mom ended up ordering the Eggs Florentine Benedict, which was enjoyable as well. (It could very well be the wonders of the creamy hollandaise sauce.) And as an aside, mimosas and hibiscuses are both on the beverage menu. Dishes may seem pricey at first, but it's mostly due to the fact that dishes come with your choice of juice. In the end, prices are actually moderate. Service was also a different story. Maybe we picked a bad day to try MC, but we were stuck with one very curt waiter. Two waiters (including ours) ended up taking drinks and food orders for the table behind us. (One waiter even mentioned that "Everyone was running all over the place this morning when I arrived! It was like I stepped inside the Twilight Zone or something.") Needless to say, service was not up to par. It's too bad MC is out in Polaris, aka Traffic Nightmare, but I can still see myself coming back during lunch and dinner hours to sample their other offerings. If MC had allowed people to play on the drum set situated at the top of the dining room, I would have given it four loud bangs!

I've only been there for breakfast, but I have had breakfast there 5 times. The food has been great every time. My favorite is the ham and cheese croissant. I also recommend the Five Alarm Santa Fe omelette. I've never been disappointed with my food, and my husband loves the restaurant as well. I also like that the website lists nutritional information so that I can know how many calories are in what I'm eating.

I am so disappointed with this restaurant. I took my mom to lunch today and waited 20 minutes for a table because they were crowded, but well staffed. When we were seated, we were given a nice booth right next to the entrance, but it went downhill from there. We waited at least 15 minutes just to place our drink order, coffee, water and tea. Because that took so long we went ahead and placed our lunch order, a veggie burger and a quiche. 45 minutes later almost every booth and table were empty except our row of booths. Everyone that had come in after us had their food but my mom and I. The waitress apologized and refilled my coffee three times but also had let us know that the GFS truck was there and the cooks couldn't find the veggie burgers! If I would have known that earlier, I would have ordered something else. I didn't say anything even at this point, but I noticed earlier that a gentlemen walked around asking everyone how their meal was. After we had our food a lady (assistant manager or manager?) walked down the row of booths and asked every table how their meal was, looked over at our table and walked on by. Now, that is what will forever stay with me about this restaurant. I didn't complain, ask for a discount, just said we understood to the waitress. This was a lunch for my mom's 75th birthday and I didn't want to ruin it by complaining about a 20.00 lunch but when we were treated like we did something wrong, I did think it was worth a review. I have never experienced anything like this in a restaurant, what poor management, I am still shocked.

i just returned after lunch at mimi's with friends. had heard it was a wonderful place. sorry but i didn't have that experience. i got the "express" lunch, onion soup & grilled cheese sandwich. 1/2 hour later we had to ask another server to find our server & where was our lunch. the soup was lukewarm at best and had to be reheated. sandwich was unremarkable. won't come back.

Very busy maybe because of coupons. The omelet La Parisian is so-so; would not order it again, tomato sauce not so pleasant. Muffin was outstanding, however. Corned beef hash was also so-so. Coffee not as good as Bob Evans coffee IMHO. Would order the frittata omelet next time. In summary, lots of sugary things on the breakfast menu, but not a place I would stand in line for.

I wouldn't hesitate giving this restaurant four stars if for the food and ambiance only; however, being that the service was so poor-I can't. It would appear that the staff consists of new employees who lack supervision and direction by management. If you are patient, you will eventually be waited on. Once waited on, eventually you'll receive your beverage and your order taken. . . I spoke to a curt and impolite manager who gave a deaf ear to my complaint. Hopefully, a new management team will be in place soon. We did get our food approximately 30 minutes after it was ordered (less refills on our beverages) and it was excellent, except for the dessert. The bread pudding was tasteless, not the kind that your mother use to make. Try the muffins, instead, they are excellent!

On a freezing cold, icy night, no car, staying alone on business in the area, trying to walk within a couple of blocks from my hotel in search of a light dinner, I stumbled on Mimi's Cafe in the middle of a mall parking lot and decided to give it a try rather than freeze to death. To my pleasant surprise, it turned out to be one of the tastiest and best-valued dinners I've had in a long time. Ordering from their "3-course $12.99 special" menu, I had a little cup of the most delicious tomato-basil bisque, mahi mahi with citrus sauce over rice with asparagus, and a small warm brownie ala mode with chocolate sauce. Although the restaurant was nearly full, the service was very friendly and efficient, and the meal was capped by some pleasant seasonal singing from an a capella women's quartet. Can't imagine a better way to warm up a cold evening for under $20 including tax and tip.

Eh. I've been a few times now and its alright. Food is respectable, but not amazing. Eggs Benedict was not good at all, but I'll be the first to say I have high standards for that dish. The atmosphere is cute, Americana with a New Oreans theme. I guess it says something that I've gone back, right?

I'm updating this and giving it 3 stars as I went here for lunch today with my wife and was pleasantly surprised. I had the Santa Fe omelet, which came with a muffin, she had the cobb salad with chicken gumbo soup (soup was really for me). The omelet was pretty good, not something worth writing home about, not very fluffy, but tasted good. Couldn't really taste the jalepenos, but that's nothing a little hot sauce can't remedy. The potatoes this time were very good, home style red potatoes cooked all the way through and done well. The chicken gumbo was good, with chicken, sausage, okra and some other items, but was a bit salty for me (probably from it sitting there under boil all day) but not as bad as I've had at other chain restaurants. The cobb salad was good, but only had egg, tomato, bacon, avocado, and lettuce. I felt like there should be black beans and corn, but i'm not a cobb salad expert. Overall, it was a-ok, but the waiter was 5 stars, she was awesome.

Mimi's cafe review 11.18.13 Please note this is a very short review as I didn't stay long: Intro: Strong smell in entry. Tried to bare with it. We got seated and then my oversensitivity kicked in and I had to leave I gagged hard. It was this sweet smell. It sucks becuase we had to take a traffic detour that Inrix Traffic warned us about that google maps didn't have indicated. We ended up at Applebee's instead. I hope that next time I want to try this place I won't have such a hard time with the smells. :(

Its a nice place inside. I ordered the bacon apple waffle. Picture in the menu make the waffles look big. However, you get 3 waffles about 3 inch radius. Super tiny waffles, not worth the trip. If going here, order somethin else.

I liked this place. I ordered the turkey croissant sandwich with apples and brie and the pumpkin bisque soup. The soup was delicious and the sandwich was tasty. My boyfriend ordered the tomato basil soup. Hands down best tomato soup I've ever had. It was extremely flavorful and not too sweet or acidic. The waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was a bit old fashioned and dark with lots of mood lighting and art nouveau paintings. Apparently Bob Evans once owned this restaurant? The waitress said they are now owned by a french company who's emphasis lies in quality ingredients and cuisine.Although I have yet to sample the rest of the menu, my lunch was excellent and I enjoyed my first experience here.

Horrible service. It took 15 mins to get a refill of coffee. The waitress was annoyed when we asked for water the second time. The place was empty and the food took at least 35 mins to come out. Will never come here again.

Chicken Pot Pie, Shrimp Poo Boy...you name it...love love love Mimi's....Jambalaya is a little different as they are not using rice, they use noodles...but it is still tasty. very nice set up...outside seating possible and if you are lucky you will get a complementary muffin, which are delicious too.

A-ok, Mimi's is just that. Maybe ever so slightly better than your average chain restaurant, but fits right in with the millions of other options within the mile radius of restaurant overload at Polaris. I had never been, so of course I had to try it out. Partially, ok mostley, because I had heard newbies get free muffins. Free muffins- I'm game bring it on. Turns out I had to ask for the when we got the bill, slightly embaressing, but how can I complete my review or dinner there without knowing how their muffins are?!! Yes, they did give me 2 to take home and yes they were ok. Not mindblowing, I had the blueberry which was rather bland and the carrot which I likes but was nothing worth going back for. We had the "3 course meal" which is a typical gimmack to make people think they are getting something exclusive and fancy and at $13.99 also for a good price. Basically its a tiny salad, a main course (burger) and a tiny "petit" dessert. In all if you calculate it, you are saving a whopping 50 cent... The salad was fine, if tiny but with a very good balsamic. The burger was fine, not great, not bad. The baby bakers and fries very bland. The steamed veggies pretty dry, no sauce, spice, nothing. My son had the Chicken Cordon Bleu, which we thought was the best art of the meal, they did use a good high quality ham. For dessert the brownie was good, but tiny and I did really enjoy the Cinnamon Beignets. I was a little dissapointed they forgot the ice cream for the brownie and the beignets were brought with 2 not 3 dipping sauces but after bringing our entree orders wrong twice we were not about to sit and wait any longer. The chocolate dipping sauce was your typical grocery store syrup and not good but the caramel was thick and tasty, In all not a total loss but you can really do better.

R and I used to go to the Mimi's in Oceanside, CA frequently, so I think our trip here was a little more nostalgia-driven than either of us would like to admit (I blame the snow.) The Jambalaya (it's the only thing I ever get here) tasted just as it did out west; I guess this is one of the good things about chain restaurants. Service was spot-on as well. If you're considering a chain restaurant: come here for the menu, which is different enough to make Mimi's stand out a bit.

Just wanted to give it a try. Service was very, very slow. Had to ask for a refil on my coffee but my son got refils on his pop without asking. (He is very good looking so I am going to go with that being the reason). Meal was ok - I had the cinamon bread french toast - I make better at home. Son #1 had parm chicken - he liked it well enough. Son #2 had a chicken sandwich - he also like it well enough. I might give it another shot but the service had better be a whole lot better or Mimi's will be on my do not bother list.

A cute little french bistro that is nestled near the Polaris mall. I've been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today, I was there for lunch. I had the Turkey Pesto Ciabatto sandwich with kettle chips. Love the avocado on the sandwhich. I would recommend it. Every entree I have tried has been wonderful. Nothing too far out, but with something unique that makes the entree's a delight. Very reasonable priced. Tasteful food. Service has been top notch every time I have visited.

Mimi's used to have a bit of a unique quality, but recently I think they have slipped back into the pack. The space is still nice, but I'm not sure what's supposed to make the food French Cafe anymore. Seems like its just another chain restaurant, especially for diiner.

Oh good grief: I'm going to write an insanely positive review about a chain restaurant that's at Polaris and that's owned by Bob Evans. Barf. But I just can't help myself! I love Mimi's Cafe! Every couple of months, I just get a craving for some quasi-home-cooked, pseudo-French-country food. And I have never been disappointed by Mimi's. Oh, and it's reasonably priced. Three of us ate there last night for $60. C'mon y'all, $60 for delicious carrot bread, an appie, and three meals that consisted of soup, entree, and mini-dessert. And everything was super tasty. The interior is pretty darn cute too, and the servers are always friendly. I'm not going to be converting to chains anytime soon, but I can't pass up Mimi's!

First time at Mimi's Cafe and we will definitely be back. The service was great and we enjoyed our food. My wife and I had the Chicken Crepes with the Corn Chowder and salad. The Crepes could have used a little less sauce but, other than that, they were very good. Daughter had the Crab Cakes and it was delicious. Price was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Don't bother waiting in line for BJ's just walk on over to Mimis. Food is equally as good and there is never a line. Dinner for two was under $30. The one major standout was the quality of service. Our server Kelsey was amazing and took this three star experience to a four star.

Want an upscale breakfast at a reasonable price, look no further. Nice atmosphere, the restaurant was clean and inviting. We enjoyed the "French Theme." The waitstaff was helpful and courteous. The food was very good - timeliness, presentation, and temperature. The restroom (mens) was very clean. Ample parking. I gave them 5 stars, not because it's the best I ever had, but because of the overall value and pleasant atmosphere. We'll be back!

I went there Monday afternoon about 4:30 after reading reviews on here and elsewhere. This is supposedly owned by the same company that runs Bob Evans and though the food was French themed as the decor, it still seemed like BE's food dressed up for the masses. For $14 bucks I tried their 3 course meal, french onion soup, very good with the proper use of topping it with a rye crouton instead of just toasted rye bread, very nice. For my main course the chicken marsala w/mashed taters (seems to be part of every entree after looking at the menu) and steamed veggies. The marsala sauce was good but didn't have enough of the marsala wine taste in my own opinion. This came with two pounded grilled chicken breasts topped with swiss cheese covered in shrooms and marsala sauce. Dessert was the 3rd course and I choose to have their bread pudding with was awesome with a nice buttery sauce and with a nice amount of whipped creme, very nice. Overall it was a good meal for the price for a chain restaurant and I would come back just to try some of the other items on the menu that looked interesting. One thing I have noticed for a chain you do not see much advertising about this location here in Cbus.

Very nice for atmospher and all, but the food wasn't that great for the price they want you to pay. I got the Turkey Pesto sandwich with onion rings. The sandwich is huge, but the flavor isn't. I expected to taste the pesto and I didn't. My onion rings were barely warm and I believe this cost a whopping 12 bucks. He got the California Rueben which the server made sure to point out was not a true rueben, which he already noticed that, and she said you would be surprised how many people don't pay attention and get it and get upset that it's not a real rueben. His sandwich also lacked flavor and their french fries are not good either, but his was only about 9 bucks. I also did order a side salad to split with him and that was good. So for lunch we ended up spending 27 before the tip and just not worth it to me. One thing I can say was we both loved our bread. Mine was ciabatta and his was toasted just right. Now our server needs practice with how to speak to her tables. She looked old enough to have been doing this for a long enough time to know not to tell her table to calm down, she pushed those muffins way too hard, and while we were still eating our lunch she came over and told us that her managers were trying to get her out of there but she can't leave till we did. Then she gave us a survey and said that we should lie about the manager coming to our table cus if we told the truth it would ruin their survey. Heck it would be better to just not give us the survey.

I'll keep it short and sweet because in the process of looking for a place to have breakfast at this morning I lost my patience and almost skipped it all together. Here is the deal: My order consisted of hot tea and the French Brioche breakfast. It includes two eggs (any style) and a choice of bacon or sausage. The plus, it also includes a glass of juice (OJ, grapefruit, apple, tomato & cranberry.) FYI: they are not natural juices. French Brioche: my waitress best described it as a cinnamon roll turned into a french toast. Indeed it was. It came with butter and maple syrup. Unless you want to go into a diabetic seizure the french toast will do without the added sugar. I recommend it if you want something sweet to eat. Eggs and bacon: I ordered my eggs sunny side up. They were perfectly cooked -- not too runny nor dry. The bacon was balanced in both thickness and preparation. In brief, I was so hungry this morning I ordered another egg and side of bacon. It hit the spot. Service: quick, warm and efficient. The location is appropriate and parking not much of a hassle unless it's Sunday morning. If it gets full park in the lot across the grass. The walk will suit anyone who indulged in any of the menu items. :) Price: I paid $17 for the items described above. I'm covered and satisfied until tea or dinner time. Oh yeah -- there is Wi-fi and it's free.

My husband and I had a terrible experience the one and only time we have been to Mimi's. We went one summer night for a few drinks and dinner on the patio which is very pretty. I started with a Mojito, one of my favorite summer time drinks. After I took my first sip, I realized how terrible it was. It was very bland. I am normally not that picky and don't complain but since I only planned on having one drink, I wanted to enjoy it! I mentioned to our waitress that my drink just wasn't very good. She snapped back at me immediately with "Well, have you ever had a Mojito?". I should have known at this point our experience would be bad. Yes, I do know exactly what a good Mojito should taste like and the "Mojito" I was given was no where near good. I have had ones made with pre-made mixer that have tasted 10 times better. Dinner was okay, nothing special. My husband had Shepherds pie and I had a salad. My husband and I decided to split a dessert and ordered a custard. As we started enjoying it, my husband bit into something crunchy and realized there were pieces of egg shells in the custard. Gross! Our waitress was embarrassed at this point and immediately took it off of our bill. The manager came by and gave us a 4 pack of muffins to take home as well. They were really good! We constantly eat out in the Polaris area and have never been back to Mimi's, with so many other good choices we don't feel the need to do so.

I used to eat at Mimi's about every other week. I had pretty bad service about 3x in one year. I came back because I loved their soup and salad. Then about 2 years ago I went there for lunch with my father who can't walk well and uses a walker. The hostess seated us in the very back of the restaurant and then it was like we didn't exist. Our waiter never came and took our order for probably a half hour. People were seated after us and were leaving before we got our food. I decided not to return and until my daughter-in-laws birthday, had not come back. The food is OK, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. That type of experience happened about 3x and I figured 3 strikes and you are out.
