GREAT GREAT GREAT pretzel appetizer. Quite possibly the best appetizer I have ever eaten (right up there with Ryan's dinner rolls). Paired with their signature dish, Grits and Shrimp, the meal was VERY good. The food alone gets five stars from me. The reason for the four-star vote? Well, first, I was charged with the pretzel appetizer even though I showed my server I had the Yelp free appetizer coupon: Nine bucks.

Matt the Miller's at Polaris is one of a million chains within a 1 mile radius of the mall. All of these restaurants seem to do well even though there is lots of competition and so far, Matt the Miller's seems to be stacking up to the competition pretty well. They have a decent happy hour, although the food deals are nothing special... They have several types of martinis and a large beer selection for under $5 for happy hour which is nice, but there are better places to go around Polaris for the same amount of money (Marcella's 1/2 price pizzas and sangria!). As for the dining experience, the service is always pretty good. They do well with large parties and they don't have a problem splitting checks. The food choices are pretty average in my opinion, with burgers, steaks, and chicken dishes. The only really unique thing I've found that is really good is their shrimp and grits, which is worth coming back for. They also have a weekend brunch which has a variety of dishes, but I personally think it is overpriced for what you get. I wouldn't recommend their brunch when, like I said, there are about 100 other places to go eat in the same area. Don't forget to check in when you're here! It will get you a free order of their famous pretzel bites!!

Granted, a Thursday evening and i got there af 11pm. Stood by the door for 10 mins, no one interested in seating me. Staff more interested in cleaning up or talking to friends before closing. Close earlier if that's the case

Pretzels are on point and the shrimp and grits are money. Sits heavy in you stomach though but worth it.

4 stars for the pretzel bites! The fig and prosciutto flatbread was good too, the tavern chips were soggy, calamari had more squid than calamari but the flavor was tangy good, chicken salad sandwich and the miller burger were both good. Great happy hour and accomdates dinner parties!

We really liked Matt the Miller's in Dublin and we were pretty psyched for one to open up at Polaris, closer to home. We got the pretzel bites as an appetizer and they were not good. I'm a big stickler for German food because it's my heritage and my favorite cuisine. These were boasted as "Bavarian". I feel like it's this kitschy thing places do, they slap a regional title on something that is allegedly part of that cuisine. ANYWAY, the pretzel bites were like a super sweet bread. It was not good at all. The entrees were just okay for us. They do have a pretty cool looking bar area. Cool space but menu needs a vast improvement.

Great selection for beers and nice upscale ambience at a good value. Food is good but not 4 stars yet. Had shrimp and grits which was okay. Flatbread with steak tasted great but was a little light for bigger eaters like me. Soybeans sounded fancy but I found them just oily sprinkled with garlic. We will be back as overall it's a good deal here. I like it when the manager is concerned about their business and replies on my earlier review. Moved my review to 4 stars.

This place was aaaiiiggghhhttt. My friend ordered the tomato soup and said it tasted like Rague out of the jar. I got the 1/2 margarita pizza and 1/2 salad and loved every bit of mine.

Food served quickly. Loved the pretzel bites best.

Finally made my first visit, with my wife and two kids, after having several friends and co-workers tell me how good it was. I was not disappointed, in the food that is. The service was very bad. Our server came one time after taking our order. A different server took pity on us and had to refill our drinks. He finally came over to see if we needed boxes and then didn't return for fifteen minutes! The food, on the other hand, was outstanding. We started with the pretzel bites and I was in love at first bite. Sorry, I know that sounded very corny but they were everything I was told they were. The two dipping sauces were absolutely delicious as well. They were buttery and very airy and light. My wife got the barbecue burger, my daughter got the kids wagon wheels sliders, my son got the butter pasta, and I got the fish and chips. The burger was excellent and was cooked just the way she likes it. The barbecue sauce was more spicy than sweet, the onion rings added good texture, and the red pepper flakes gave it an overall good spicy-ness. My fish was some of the best I have had with a very good crunch but still light. The slaw was decent, not great, and the fries were somewhat limp and mushy. My daughters sliders were excellent as well. The fries for the kids come in what look like little fryer baskets which they thought was pretty cool. We don't drink alcohol so the only other suggestion I would have for them is to get a draft root beer. I love the draft root beer at the Rusty Bucket and Pies and Pints so it would have been great to have that here. They at least have my favorite regular root beer which is Barq's. So other than the service, I would definitely recommend this place.

Sunday brunch buffet is awesome! They have an assortment of options and a Bloody Mary bar (pay extra for this). Came here for dinner one night to try their regular menu. Make sure to do the half hour call ahead on Friday and Saturday nights because they get busy. We had an hour wait from the time I called in on a Friday night. I love the food here! The pretzel bites are a must. Order for the table and share!:) It comes with two different sauces, both very good. The shrimp and grits dish was awesome. It definitely has a kick to it, so try it if you like your food spicy! The miller burger was cooked to order and pretty good! It's huge though. The bun is very thick. The fries that came with it were just okay. Wish they were more like steak fries! P.s. Check in on yelp and get the free pretzel bites!:)

Awesome place. Went on Friday night. Had a Cuban sandwich and fries. Great service. Terrific food. Fantastic beer selection. Our waitress was amazing. Best restaurant in Polaris.

One of our favorite spots in Polaris, just the right fit for a great dinner, quality drinks, and a good experience out in the Polaris area.

Sorry, but I just don't like this place. The food is over-priced and the quality is not good.

I truly enjoy my experience at Matt the Miller's every time I go. I have been there for after work drinks and dinner with coworkers and for brunch with friends and family (including children). There is something for everyone on the menu (both drinks and food). It feels like an upscale bar with great food. Go ahead and try it. I don't think that you'll be disappointed.

  • Julie T.

Great food prepared with thought and also great service. Our server Lannie was perfectly attentive and personable! The pretzel bite appetizer was amazing and Matt's Salad was one of the best salads I've ever had!

BIG fan of this place! I've been a few times now and I always am very happy I stopped in. The bar area is nice and I enjoy the overall vibe of this restaurant. A bit classier than say Fridays or Applebees but still casual. The servers have done a good job always checking in on me to see if I needed another drink or ready to take food orders. They have a very nice selection of craft beer which you normally don't find at a place like this....very much appreciated for a beer enthusiast like myself. Check out the chalkboard where they list current selections and IBU's. If you keep seeing yelpers mentioning the pretzel bites... ITS BECAUSE THEY ARE THAT AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you like soft pretzels, pretzel breadsticks, pretzel bread, anything of this nature....go try them right now. You will thank me later. They come with two dipping sauces..one being a delicious honey mustard and the other a tasty garlic sauce. I love current this trend of pretzel bread and order it any time I see it on a menu and this is one of my favorites hands down. My last visit I decided to try another appetizer to go along with my pretzel bites.......another great choice. The baked spinach and artichoke dip. DELICIOUS! Totally was not expecting it to be that unbelievable. One of the best I've tasted anywhere. Blew my mind. I'm almost upset these two appetizers are so delicious because its going to be hard for me to actually order a meal here lol. I promise I will try next time.

This place was a great find for a business lunch! Food was extremely good. Burgers, salads, sandwiches and many other options. Must get the pretzel bites!!!

Went with some colleagues from work for lunch here and I was impressed. We had a large party and it was handled well by the staff. They were friendly and on top of all our needs. As far as the food, this southern boy was impressed that the shrimp and grits could be so good up North. It was a great dish and the shrimp was cooked perfect. I would highly recommend this dish! I look forward to coming back after work hours to sample some of their beer selection and couple of the appetizers that looked delicious.

  • Matt C.

Very good food and excellent beer list, but it was the attentive and knowledgeable service we experienced from our server (Robert) that put our first visit here over the top. Recommended!

    (5)
  • Mr M.

The food was good, not great, service was okay-our pretzel bites were burnt, spinach artichoke dip was great! The servers had a tendency to be condescending and not attentive. I would try it again but if it's the same experience, we won't come back. UPDATE!! We decided to go back for a second try and it was much better this time. I have adjusted the stars accordingly.

My parents were in town in October visiting me, my brother, sister-in-law and 18 month-old nephew. When they are in town, we always like to take them to "local" restaurants to show off Columbus's awesome array of dining options. This Saturday night, we also had several other requests to accommodate: large party (5 + a baby; we'd need a reservation), kid-friendly, not near OSU (it was game day) and not a sports bar with a bunch of fans, alcohol a must (family's in town!), we're hungry for sandwiches and burgers, nice but not too pricey. Hmmm. I racked my brain. Ugh. Ruby Tuesday's maybe? Boring. So I took to Yelp and they responded with Matt the Miller's in Polaris! I knew of the one in Grandview that my friends/co-workers thought was a good spot to meet up with a blind date from OKCupid! The one in Polaris was rather new; I'd seen it on a recent trip to Costco. I took a look at their online menu. Very diverse selection. This could work! Sandwiches, burgers, flatbreads, salads, soups, Kid's menu AND they take reservations. We were sat immediately and although there were definitely OSU fans at the bar, it was far enough from campus that we didn't have the typical student crowds. We checked in on Yelp! and got a free pretzel appetizer! (This alone made me the family hero that night!) Food was awesome. Much better than you'd expect from a place similar to a TGIFriday's feel. They had beer specials and also fancy, girly drink specials as well. This was a great family spot too--not your usual Bob Evans. I'd go back here for brunch, weekend lunch or merely just cocktails and drinks. I dig it!

We had a big group (23) here for brumch. I was a little disappointed by how we were seated but it wasn't a big deal. Brunch was delicious, everything we ate had awesome flavor. I only wish that it had been a bit warmer, lots of things seemed to be room temperature. But like I said, it still tastes good. Husband loved the Bloody Mary bar. I really liked that they had a kid area of the buffet with kids plates/silver wear and kid food like chicken strips, Oreos, tater tots, and mac & cheese. I'll come back again to try something other than brunch.

Service is always great and so is the food. I've been here when it's packed and when it's pretty slow & the service is always good. Their pretzel bites are amazing! They come with two sauces, a garlic & honey mustard sauce. The garlic sauce is delicious & has a little kick to it. Also, if you check in on yelp you get them for free! They have a deal where you can get half a flat bread & small salad. I usually get that so I can try all the flat breads (I haven't tried a bad one yet). My next choice is the pear and Gorgonzola! I will be back!

  • Mike K.

Never disappointed. Sunday brunch is the best in the area. Spicy Ahi Tuna wonton app is my wife's favorite app of all time. Great beer selection. Good happy hour deals. Staff are pleasant, knowledgeable and upbeat.

Great appetizers, great entree, great staff. We had been here before for the delicious brunch. This was our first time for dinner. The pretzels bites were not like your average frozen and microwaved variety. They are little dough balls, perfectly seasoned with excellent dipping sauces. I ordered the shrimp and grits and can see why they were voted the best appetizer in Columbus! The consistency of the grits was perfect and the Cajun sauce excellent. My husband ordered the burger and was completely satisfied. He even brought some home and to our surprise it was not soggy the next day! Ordered chicken fingers for our picky daughter and she ate every last one. And the presentation was cute; the fries came in a miniature fry basket. Will definitely be going back to try some of the other items on their menu.

Great local place to eat with good service and great food. The menu has a lot to choose from especially when dining with picky eaters. American fare at its best.

  • Val T.

Fish sandwich was very good, fries only okay. My husband's flat bread was excellent.

  • Scott B.

Appetizer was overly simple and missing spicy component. Burgers were also pretty simple after they finally arrived. Pesto burger had mozzarella but no pesto. Was told delay was due to sudden rush and out of that size burger - larger burger was being trimmed down. Wow. Didn't hesitate to upcharge for the horseradish potato side either. Server was pleasant.

I've been there for a dinner and for the Sunday Brunch. Personally it was a night and days difference. The Brunch is probably one of the best buffets I've ever had. Great food and an awesome Bloody Mary bar. It was a bit expensive with the brunch being about $25 to $30 a person and an additional $10 for the Bloody Mary bar. My wife and I will only go back for special occasions due to the price. The dinner was a disappointment. Not only was it expensive, but the food reminded me of Ruby Tuesday, which I'm not a fan of. The service was just Ok. I had the ahi tuna and it was a bit over cooked. It tasted bland. I doubt we will be back for dinner.

Great atmosphere and food is excellent. Pretzel bites are very good. Beers are reasonable as well with a great selection. Close proximity to Hilton and Cambria hotels. Highly recommended.

Honestly I always have the worst experiences here. I don't know if it's because they are a new restaurant? I see two people waiting and they quoted us an 1 hour and 30 minutes. The people that walked in before us were seated right away without a reservation. Do I have to know someone here to receive decent customer service? Disappointing at best.

    (1)
  • Amy S.

Excellent. Service was fantastic, and the pretzel bites were everything I hoped them to be. No frozen food appetizers found here. Only reason for 4 stars was the food was slightly cold, but excellent none the less! You know food is good when it is delicious at any temperature!

  • Lex F.

Wow wow wow. I am impressed. The service was in line with Ruth Chris or Hyde Park. Now to the food...we had jerk chicken and pan walleye, you can tell from the first bite that the food is made fresh and by a chef (not some guy who used to wash dishes) We also had the pretzel bites and cheesecake both of them were excellent. So I tried to think of something negative to add to my review...yeah I got nothing. The place was clean, great atmosphere and friendly. We. Will. Be. Back.

Shrimp & Grits...excellent...would order again. Fish & Chips...outstanding...generous portion. Nice & crispy:) Service was excellent as well. We'll be back

Great food, great craft beer selection. Wait staff that I have had seem friendly and helpful enough. A little more pricey than your standard eatery. Worth the visit. Repeat customer. THis location gets crowded as its near major shopping mall.

  • Tanner M.

SOOOO good! I had buffalo wings with fries and they were some of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is great too. It's in a really good area/spot too. I head up to Polaris a lot and this is one of the best choices for food at polaris in my opinion. The waiters were very nice and there was great food!

  • Sara J.

Went on a Friday night fully expecting a wait. We were told it was an hour wait to notice there were more seats available on the restaurant than there were people waiting. When asking about the available seats we were told they take advances seating. Seriously? You have five more seats than people waiting and our wait is an hour. MTM needs to better manage their seating on busy nights. Sad thing they have good food but won't bother again.

My wife and I had dinner here on a Saturday evening. We had one of our boys, a two year old, with us. My wife got the shrimp and grits while I had the cuban pressed sandwich. Both were server recommendations and both were absolutely outstanding. I was a little nervous about the coleslaw that comes on top of the cuban sandwich, but it turned out to be delicious. We were also impressed with the kids meal -- a cooked to order fish and chips meal with fresh carrots and ranch dipping sauce that was made on-site. At most places, the kids meals are some version of frozen chicken strips and mac and cheese from the box. Not here. The fish was so good, I'd have been happy to order it for myself. Better yet was the beer menu. I LOVE that you can order flights here. Every single draft beer is available as a flight and each are individually priced so that you can mix and match as you choose. This was great, as there were some interesting choices we wanted to try, but didn't want to risk an entire 16oz pour toward. Our server was outstanding. She was friendly, took great care of us, was knowlegable about the food and beer, and was extremely thoughful. All and all, a wonderful experience.

  • Ed A.

Appetizers, calamari and pretzel bites were very good, but it went downhill fast after that. Long wait for the entrees, then the food wasn't hot. It had been sitting somewhere a good ten minutes. Two of us had the fish and chips. The batter on the fish lacked seasoning, it was very greasy and had gotten soggy from sitting as had the sad fries. Very disappointed.

Hubby had shrimp n grits and absolutely loved it! Mine was Asian salad that was the best I have ever had! Service great and really cool atmosphere! My new favorite place!

This is our first visit to any Matt the Miller's we are impressed. Funny Polaris doesn't have anything like it. Upscale but not stuffy. Very nice bar area, excellent selection of craft beer, great atmosphere. The bartender is polite and helpful. Menu looks amazing. No doubt we will return.

  • Greg F.

This place has a great atmosphere. It has a lot of TV's for sports with a gourmet feel. The best of both worlds, you get to see the game without feeling like you're in a sports bar. The burgers are great with the exception of the BBQ burger. Too spicy for my taste. I'm not saying that it was bad, just way to spicy. Maybe put a disclaimer.

  • Dave N.

Great mix of a sports bar and a craft beer pub. The menu is reasonably priced and the food was excellent! The homemade pretzel bites are amazing! I was however a little off put that I wasn't offered a glass to go with my bottled craft beer. At first I thought this was an oversight but looking around the bar I realized must be there straightforward style. I'm ok with it I just found it unusual. The desert menu seemed a little bit overpriced but I'm assuming their intention is for them to be shared. I didn't try any of them so I'm not sure about that. A $12 slice of carrot cake is a little too rich for my blood..

  • Teri M.

I have eaten here for dinner twice and both times were great! They have a large selection of draft and bottled beer, which is nice. They also do flights. The Miller Burger is excellent! Huge burger, lots of flavor. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth delicious. Pretzel bites and margarita flat bread were also good. The spicy rigatoni pasta was definitely spicy (a bit too spicy for me). Friendly and knowledgeable servers. Excellent service all around! Will come here again. Would recommend calling ahead for a table.

Great Sunday brunch with Bloody Mary and coffee bar. Atmosphere was perfect for meeting up with another couple and carrying on a conversation without struggling. Although a little pricey compared to Bel Lago, I will keep this brunch in my rotation.

I called 10 days ago to make a Sunday brunch reservation for today to celebrate birthdays. I was told they do not take reservation for parties less than 6. We got to the restaurant this morning and they told us we needed a reservation. Excuse was they have a lot of new people that don't know all the policiea. So much for a birthday brunch.

We had Thanksgiving here and it was wonderful. Really clean, food was perfect the Turkey was amazing you should offer that as a special once in a while. The staff was amazing never had one empty glass. The Sunday Brunch is really good as well. Awesome coffee station with a few different selections of coffee and creamers. Highly recommend to anyone.

  • Steve M.

First of all, great atmosphere. upscale sports pubish. My wife and I got the pretzel bites appetizer and they were fantastic, setting our expectations high for the food to follow. Unfortunately, that spirit softened somewhat with the food that followed. My wife had steak and mashed potatoes and I had the fish and chips. Not horrible mind you, just kinda blah! I'm a fish and chip fanatic, and these where well...just ok. The steak was about a 6 on the 10 scale, taters where quite good, say an 8! Not sure if we'd pick it again, mainly because there is better food nearby.

  • Tenzang S.

went there last night..the portion was way too small for the price. ordered the calamari appetizer without the veggies in it, there were literally 6 tiny rings of calamari. We found it funny, I would rather drive to downtown short north for a decent portion for that same price. we also ordered filet mignon with double sides..sweet potatoes were just a handful. I did not feel like we got the value for the money. There are several other restaurants around with similar pricing that serves a decent portion for the same or better quality of food.

Excellent filet and veggies. And Matt the bartender is really cool, too.

Best Sunday brunch buffet I've had in a long time. $16.95 for delicious cinnamon pretzel bites, made to order omelets, perfectly spiced home fried potatoes with onions, green peppers and mini chunks of turkey and ham, not to mention the fresh fruit, chewy waffles and yummy drink choices! Great for anyone, families or friends!

After reading numerous positive reviews my wife and I decided to give Matt the Miller's Tavern a shot this extremely snowy Saturday afternoon. We arrived at approximately 1:30, and were seated within 60 seconds of entering. This place is beautiful. The pictures I was able to find online don't do it justice. Very classy, and slightly upscale with lots of nice little touches everywhere (I especially liked the little lamp on our table). Large televisions are placed throughout and the atmosphere is somehow "just right". Lots of chatter going on, people laughing, and just genuinely having a great time. The volume was never out of control at any point either - so far, so good. Our waitress, Kala, arrives and is very welcoming and knowledgeable to say the least. She goes through the menu page by page and explains what she likes, and why. We decide to go with the pretzel bites for an appetizer. They are delicious, and I would consider them one of the best pretzel appetizers I've had (2nd only to the pretzels with beer cheese at Mellow Mushroom). The two dipping sauces are a mustard based sauce (yuck) and a garlic white sauce which I hated, but my wife liked ok. For our meals my wife chose the California Chicken sandwich with fries, and I had the North Atlantic Cod sandwich with fries and a side of Macaroni and Cheese. The fries, both sandwiches, and mac n' cheese all arrived within 15 minutes and were delicious. Portions were generous as well. I was only able to eat half of my food, and will most likely be heating up the leftovers this evening. Our bill was $43 - minus tip - and was worth every dime. If you like the typical blah chain restaurants (Applebee's, O'Charley's, etc.) give the more upscale Matt the Miller's a try. We'll definitely be back.

Ok we were skeptical the reviews were all over the place but we went anyway. We loved it! The shrimp and grits were excellent and my wife's fish and chips are a destination dish. Service was attentive but not obtrusive and overall the price was fair for the amount of food.

Environment is friendly and the drinks are flowing. They have a great beer selection and a brunch on Sunday. I don't enjoy most of the food though, everything I've had beer soup, shrimp and grits which were just okay. What I do recommend are the flat breads especially the tuna!

  • Kaushik J.

The ambience is really good and the place is new. The place was not very crowded for a Friday night may be since it was new. The bartender knew her drinks and made them to perfection. The hot and fresh food they serve complements the great drinks very well. I am going there again soon!!!

I have only been here for brunch and just based on that, I would come back anytime. A lot of times with a brunch buffet, the food looks and tastes like it was sitting out forever and wasn't fresh, but that's not the case here. The brunch buffet was a good price and the food was quite tasty. You could see them bringing new food out continuously and everything tasted fresh. The scalloped potatoes were worth going for alone. Best potatoes I've ever eaten. They had so many options, from eggs Benedict to pancakes to flatbread pizza and bacon and eggs. They also have a bloody Mary bar, which I didn't do, but it looked amazing. I did get the Crimson Cup coffee bar, which was my favorite thing ever because Crimson Cup is my favorite coffee in Columbus. They had multiple flavors of coffee and creamers and i tried several. I wish I had a Crimson Cup coffee bar in my house. I will need to come back to try brunch again and come back at night to try dinner.

I went here for the first time for Sunday brunch. It's a pretty restaurant, awkward entry though. I was very excited to try this place for the first time. I came with my family and parents (party of 8 total) and no one else had been before. We were (incorrectly) told that we all had to either get the buffet or order off the menu. After speaking with management later, we were informed that only the buffet was available until 2:30. Since none of us had been here before, my father was disappointed that he couldn't order a menu item that he had been looking forward to getting. I would perhaps suggest to the company to advertise this policy more for first-timers (I'm sure that the regulars are well aware of this policy, we were not). The food was good, I would say the buffet was slightly larger than others that I have been to before, good selection. Excellent kid buffet which is totally separate from the adult buffet. Bloody Mary bar was really great (I would hope so for $10), but there was a bartender there to make recommendations and prepare it. We enjoyed our meal and experience; it is a little pricey. I would like to come back again and try something off the menu next time.

Stopped in tonight for the first time as it recently opened up in my area (I've been to the Grandview location a couple of times). I went with my partner and our 2 year old daughter. We called ahead for seating and had to wait another 15 minutes after arrival which wasn't unexpected for a Friday night but we were surprised to be seated in the crowded and busy bar area. Luckily the noise helped conceal my daughter's crying at times. The service we received from Jordan was exceptional! She was quick to get anything we needed and make our daughter smile each time she visited the table. When she took our order she suggested they bring out our daughter's food sooner as she wasn't sure how backed up the kitchen was due to it being so busy and the new factor. It came out fairly quickly and our other food wasn't far behind. I guess I was surprised how good the service was being new and all. I thought there would at least be a few hiccups. Now to the best part.. the food. It was SO GOOD! my partner had the fish and chips which were very large, fresh hot pieces. I got the Cuban sandwich and it was so flavorful and a larger sandwich than I expected. I can't wait to go back and try other things, I heard their brunch is great and have always wanted to try it in Grandview but living in the 'burbs it just never happened. Now I have a closer choice.

Cool place, I like the setup. We stopped on a Thursday night around 10:00 and were the only two at the bar, yet the male bartender was more concerned with doing closing work and flirting with his coworker than being attentive to our needs. He never checked on us, we would have ordered an app and food quicker than we did but we had to flag him down when we wanted something. Our food was decent, we got mussels as an app, the broth for them was pretty tasty. As our meals (when we finally ordered them!) we had shrimp and grits (flavorful and filling), and ahi tuna flatbread with beer cheese soup. (Flatbread was yummy, soup was lukewarm and watered down, but he never once asked us how our food was so I just didn't eat the soup). This was our second time here, maybe if we ever come back we will try sitting at a table.

Pretzels are on point and the shrimp and grits are money. Sits heavy in you stomach though but worth it.

I dig it!

Love this location! I frequent the Matt the Millers in dublin and Grandview. I gave the Polaris location a go this past weekend. My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised. I can't say anything about the food, since we only went to the bar, but that's all I needed! Our bartender was attentive, and very skilled. We ordered obscure old fashioned drinks (side cars, old fashions, Tom Collins etc) the bartender didn't even bat an eye. He knew exactly what we were ordering. The drinks were made quickly, and correctly! We will deffinately be returning :)

Environment is friendly and the drinks are flowing. They have a great beer selection and a brunch on Sunday. I don't enjoy most of the food though, everything I've had beer soup, shrimp and grits which were just okay. What I do recommend are the flat breads especially the tuna!

This place could be so much better. I have eaten here 3 times for dinner in the last 6 months and it always manages to be a bit disappointing for how the restaurant promotes itself. Last time I dined was a week ago on Thursday evening - place was busy but not overly so. I had some work to do, so asked for a booth that was well lit - not a problem. Ordered a salad. I'm a slower eater, but was totally floored when my entree came out when I was only half way done with my salad. No offer to keep the plate warm - just placed it on the table, so I asked for the rest of my salad to be wrapped for takeout. The tuna was good but not great - a disappointing sear do the exterior tasted more dry than flavorful. I had swapped the mashed potatoes for the coconut edamame rice - nice flavor but the rice was gummy (like it had been sitting too long once it was done cooking). Plate decorated nicely, but if they advertise a sauce then I expect to get more than a drizzle. Service was disappointing - somewhat attentive and in a forced way. Maybe I went there on an off night, but it has tended to underwhelm me the 3 times I have been for dinner when staying at a hotel in the area. Next time I'll find another restaurant to try.

  • Steve M.

Ok we were skeptical the reviews were all over the place but we went anyway. We loved it! The shrimp and grits were excellent and my wife's fish and chips are a destination dish. Service was attentive but not obtrusive and overall the price was fair for the amount of food.

  • Rodney W.

Granted, a Thursday evening and i got there af 11pm. Stood by the door for 10 mins, no one interested in seating me. Staff more interested in cleaning up or talking to friends before closing. Close earlier if that's the case

4 stars for the pretzel bites! The fig and prosciutto flatbread was good too, the tavern chips were soggy, calamari had more squid than calamari but the flavor was tangy good, chicken salad sandwich and the miller burger were both good. Great happy hour and accomdates dinner parties!

We. Will. Be. Back.

I called 10 days ago to make a Sunday brunch reservation for today to celebrate birthdays. I was told they do not take reservation for parties less than 6. We got to the restaurant this morning and they told us we needed a reservation. Excuse was they have a lot of new people that don't know all the policiea. So much for a birthday brunch.

went there last night..the portion was way too small for the price. ordered the calamari appetizer without the veggies in it, there were literally 6 tiny rings of calamari.

Was in Columbus for a wedding and went here for dinner when we got in to Columbus since it seemed like the only place that seemed cool for a foodie chef. Place was busy, so not a big deal to wait. I thought it was cool that they text you when your table is ready. We were the only ones waiting, the hostess took our number and 10 minutes later we got our text. Went back to the hostess and we got the "hi, welcome to, blah blah blah, how can I help.you"...you just took our number 10 minutes ago and now you don't remember us. Then we het sat...and nothing. Servers coming in and out of our section and nobody coming to our table to greet us, bring water, etc. Finally...we have to go back.up to clueless at the host stand to see if we can get a server. Finally one comes over...and we get the excuses..." we had curs and it got all confusing as to who was serving where"...come on. I hate the excuses. If you are a waiter/waitress, manager, whatever...assume that if your customers are under 50, they have restaurant experience and hate excuses....we know them all...we just want the truth, you f*cked up and thats it. So the manager brought out an app to apologize...their pretzel bites. They were delicious, but don't have the flavor of a pretzel. Nevertheless, the food was ok, but was turned off by the B.S. If they ended up blaming the kitchen (as a chef) I would have lost it.

Great food, great craft beer selection. Wait staff that I have had seem friendly and helpful enough. A little more pricey than your standard eatery. Worth the visit. Repeat customer. THis location gets crowded as its near major shopping mall.

SOOOO good! I had buffalo wings with fries and they were some of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is great too. It's in a really good area/spot too. I head up to Polaris a lot and this is one of the best choices for food at polaris in my opinion. The waiters were very nice and there was great food!

My husband and I absolutely love Matt the Miller's. I don't even look at the menu because I know I'm going to order the Ahi Tuna Flatbread. But, everything is good. Make sure to try the Shrimp and Grits. You won't be disappointed. My husband is very particular about where he orders steak and he was very happy with the steak at Matt's. Matt's has been one of our favorites for years (Dublin location). Happy that now we have another location to choose from.

Driving down Polaris on a Sunday morning, I was trying to think of a place where they served bloody marys with their breakfast menu. I've been to Mimi's several times and have had good experiences, but then I remembered that Matt The Miller's had opened nearby. I wasn't even sure if they were open for breakfast and was surprised to see so few cars when we discovered they were. We were given the choice of sitting outside or waiting 15 mins., which surprised me since it wasn't very crowded. We chose to sit outside. I thought it was weird when we were seated and not given menus, then I realized it was brunch only when the hostess said you can "go up" whenever you want. The server came over shortly after to take our drink order and when I said I wanted a bloody mary he offered to take me up to meet the bartender. Maybe I need to get out more, but at this point I was very confused! I was escorted to the bar and promptly handed a glass with vodka on the rocks. Then the bartender proceeded to tell me about all of my options at the "Bloody Mary Bar" At this point, I expressed my disappointment saying, "I really just wanted to be served a bloody mary and be waited on!" I went through the motions and without my glasses, proceeded to make the most God awful drink ever! The brunch was okay. The made to order omlet was good, but I would have liked some toast. When I got to the coffee bar, the server was cleaning and restocking it and I had to stand there with my plate and purse for several minutes while she did so, just to get a cup of coffee. When I returned to the table, I could hear a server trying to appease a gentleman at a nearby table. She was expressing how she just wanted him to be happy. His response was, "I just retired and am NOT spending $17 on breakfast!" He was sitting at a table of silence with two women who were eating. Now I was really pissed. This whole experience could have been avoided if our server had asked if we'd been there for brunch before and not only explained how it worked, but told us the price! There would have been no surprises and I could have chosen to go elsewhere! I heard other servers explaining things to their tables. The manager learned of my unhappiness and came to the table. I said everything was fine, because at that point I figured live and learn. He said, "Really?" in a condescending tone and when I explained that the whole experience was not what I was looking for, but it IS what it IS and I was once again surprised when he looked at my full drink and didn't even offer to take it off the bill, which by the way, was almost $50 for two people!!! I've been to the Dublin location several times for drinks and appetizers and it was great. Brunch.....not so much.

So glad to see an exciting, new player in the Polaris area. Haven't yet had a chance to enjoy a full meal, but have twice enjoyed their lively bar, superb beer, flat screens, and really friendly staff, especially Johnny, Deidre, and Ryan. Did try the Asian Calamari appetizer. Yum! And the ambiance is impressive as well. I'll be back!

I dig it!

We. Will. Be. Back.

Excellent. Service was fantastic, and the pretzel bites were everything I hoped them to be. No frozen food appetizers found here. Only reason for 4 stars was the food was slightly cold, but excellent none the less! You know food is good when it is delicious at any temperature!

Solid happy hour. Great beer selection. The pretzel bites were great. Had the shrimp and grits for dinner and was very impressed. Mixed drink was just okay.

We love the variety of great food and drinks. Also great late night pizza options. We love going here when in town.

Great Sunday brunch with Bloody Mary and coffee bar. Atmosphere was perfect for meeting up with another couple and carrying on a conversation without struggling. Although a little pricey compared to Bel Lago, I will keep this brunch in my rotation.

Highly recommend to anyone.

went there last night..the portion was way too small for the price. ordered the calamari appetizer without the veggies in it, there were literally 6 tiny rings of calamari.

Love the atmosphere. First place I've found that has better Fish & Chips than Wendell's. Always served hot, but unfortunately, also served "undrained"" in a pool of oil. Will not order again. Excellent service.

Granted, a Thursday evening and i got there af 11pm. Stood by the door for 10 mins, no one interested in seating me. Staff more interested in cleaning up or talking to friends before closing. Close earlier if that's the case

4 stars for the pretzel bites! The fig and prosciutto flatbread was good too, the tavern chips were soggy, calamari had more squid than calamari but the flavor was tangy good, chicken salad sandwich and the miller burger were both good. Great happy hour and accomdates dinner parties!

Very good food and excellent beer list, but it was the attentive and knowledgeable service we experienced from our server (Robert) that put our first visit here over the top. Recommended!
