First-run movies in the theater are pricey. Yeah, sure: DVD, Redbox, Netflix and Hulu.com can all bring movies to that 50-inch LCD you just bought. But sometimes you want 50 feet, not 50 inches, and you want someone to make the popcorn for you. So a second-run movie theater like the Cinemark 12 in Carriage Place, with buck-fitty movies, can be a fun affordable evening. Nothing like the cheap seats, huh? And while you're waiting for your showtime...fill up on pizza at Lido's! That's what we do. Feed those hungry kids and save the money we would have spent on Raisinettes and Gummy Cthulhus. Pizza's got more food groups, too. I definitely recommend you do like we did and go to Lido's before your movie. Your stomach and your wallet will both be fatter. Now, I don't think I would ever go there if I weren't waiting for a movie. It's not really a destination so much as a location. But Lido's was the right place at the right time, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

Lido's offers decent Columbus-style pizza on the northwest side. Even better than the pizza are the dough toes -- soft, warm, garlicky balls of dough. Mmm. Trust me. Lido's also has a salad bar, which these days seems downright quaint. The ambiance leaves a bit to be desired. But in a strip mall on Sawmill, what can you expect? If you're on that side of town, a dinner at Lido's coupled with a movie at the second-run theater next door makes for a fun night out on the cheap.

Gross gross gross! I ordered the eggplant parmesan sandwich on recommendation of the server. She said she ate it almost every day. It was disgusting. Dry, hardly any sauce, the bun was over cooked. It was one of the worst sandwiches I've ever eaten. Even my kids talked sh@t about the food and they love going to restaurants. Don't eat here.

A bit expensive for a lunch buffet. Pizza is ok. But the did not have a lot of selection and did not offer to put in requests. 7.95 for lunch.

I have only ever picked up pizza from here- I've never dined in. The pepperoni pizza is one of my favorites, period. I am a big fan of sauce; Lido's sauce is so good and there's plenty of it on each pizza :) My family and I have been eating Lido's pizza for years.

So I moved recently and in an effort to save some cash gathered up as many friends and family as I could to haul my crap from house to truck to house. As the recipient of free labor I did the right thing and ordered pizza for everyone. I attempted to call Crenos but as the phone rang and rang and rang and no one picked up for several minutes I accepted defeat. (I found out later that Crenos doesn't open until 4 on Saturday? Boo Crenos). Since Creno's wasn't an option and Enricos didn't deliver I relied on my GPS to find me the next closest pizza establishment. Cue Lidos. With no menu in hand I asked If they had anything other than pizza. The man on the other end of the phone said, "Oh Yes! . . green peppers, olives, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms . . . " No, no I said do you have anything OTHER THAN pizza? "Ohhh yes, small, medium, large, extra large . . ." . . . . Sigh. . . . Cue 2 extra large pizza's. Pepperoni and Sausage (to please the men) and cheese (to please the 7-year old). The cost of the pizzas was high at $35 but they ended up being way bigger than I expected (I would have been fine with 1 pizza to feed 4 adults and 1 child). The sweaty tired crew seemed to enjoy the pizza but I think it had something to do with lifting heavy obejects in 90 degree eat and needing nourishment. I've had better pizza. I also don't understand why the man answering the phone didn't seem to speak English. Not impressed.

I have a couple of friends who drag me to Lido's every now and then for the lunch buffet. I honestly can't explain why. The single most notable - and aggravating - feature of the buffet is the pace at which it is kept "stocked". Upon arrival, you may find that there are half a dozen slices of pizza slowly getting dried out under heat lamps, and a room full of people keeping one eye on the kitchen door. When a server emerges with a couple more pies, half of the patrons in the restaurant spring out of their seats, forming a line that quickly consumes all of the fresh pizza. The few remaining slices then sit under the heat lamps, and 10+ more minutes go by until the cycle repeats. When it arrives, the pizza offered is very limited varieties, from the "just barely enough to say there are toppings at all" school of toppings. Would you like pepperoni, or pepperoni with sausage, or pepperoni with mushrooms? The quality of the pizza is OK, but nothing special. The salad bar is simply pathetic. Iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, sliced button mushrooms, and a few sludgy dressing choices. Oh, and maybe some pudding for dessert - yum! Bottom line: You can do a lot better at other pizza lunch buffets. Honestly, I would rather go to Pizza Hut.

Hubs and I got out of a movie around 9:30 and we were seeking someplace close to grab a bite to eat. We saw an ad for Lido's during the movie previews and decided to give it a try. We have been burned so many times with not-so-great pizza places that we usually go in with a skeptical attitude. First, the ambiance is a little dated and tired but it appeared to be a family-friendly place to eat. Butcher paper and crayons on the tables for doodling and a shelf in the back with books and toys to keep kids busy. We ordered one of the specialty pizzas-meat, green peppers and mushrooms and had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. We wanted to try the buffalo wings but they were out. Our waitress suggested the boneless wings but we usually aren't impressed with most places previously frozen, doughy boneless "wings". The pizza was wonderful. Just how we like it. The crust was great. Chewy throughout and crisp on bottom. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The cheese sticks with marinara were perfect. To top it all off, the owner was there and heard that we originally wanted wings and that we declined trying the boneless wings. He came out to our table and said he understood that some places use the "prefab" boneless wings but at Lido's they use fresh, marinated chicken. He offered us a sample in case we wanted to try them next time. They were very good and we thought it was very nice of him to give us a sample. Bottom line-Great food, fair prices and great service and we'll be back (with the kids next time)! Only lost a point for dated ambiance and no beer or wine on the menu!--

Delivery estimate 40 mins. Delivery time unconfirmed, it's been two hours and they aren't answering their phones. Sometimes the last time you try something should be before the first time. I ordered a sandwich, a salad and dessert. I ate cheese and carrots for dinner instead since my food hasn't shown up. But did pay $30 including pre-delivery tip for the driver. Expensive lesson. Order delivery from anywhere else, bad food is better than no food.

I was a little afraid to try this place because the Yelp reviews didn't make the place seem promising. I was more concerned when I walked in and wasn't able to place my order for a while because I couldn't get the attention of the workers. I almost left. I'm glad I didn't. I ordered something simple: half cheese and half ham. Was told it would be 15 min so I walked around the plaza for a bit while the pizza was being prepared. Let me say... the pizza is fantastic. In fact it is so good I will eat here again. If you like pizza loaded with grease and pizza with a heavy crust, this place isn't for you. But if you want a flavorful, hearty, tasty pizza... you must try this place. Let me say again that I think heavy crust loaded with grease ruins a pizza. Lidos pizza is loaded with delicious toppings, and the crust is delicious. Maybe Yelp hasn't caught up. This place makes great pizza. Would get 5 stars if it was more "welcoming" to the customer as you walk in. But when it comes to quality and taste, Lidos is as good as any pizza in the city.

Pizza was good still but definitely not the same Lido's as before. Service suspect at best, but thanks to kitchen staff coming out to help wasn't as bad as I was thinking it was going to be. I'd do take out next time as the Pizza was still very good.

Looked like poop, smelled like poop, tasted like poop. Honestly, I would probably rather eat poop before eating at Lido's. But in all seriousness, when the waitress comes up to your table and asks in a defeated tone, "You didn't like the lasagna, right?" you know that there's a problem here. Edit: The owner/manager has the gall to blame customers for their shitty food. If I could, I would give Mama Lido's 0 stars for their complete lack of humility. Here's a serious review (which isn't my style) in response to the owner's poor attitude. The salad bar is really weak -- complete lack of choices. No egg, spinach, etc. I initially was going to have French onion soup, but when I opened the container it looked like an unappetizing brown slop. The lasagna took an obscene amount of time to come out. To be fair, the server warned me, but the amount of time it took was way out of proportion compared to other Italian restaurants in the area, upscale restaurants included. When my entree finally arrived, it looked like old school, Americanized lasagna. Cool, I love sauce and cheese! Except the meat tasted spoiled, and there was waaay too much of it. The ingredient proportions were completely off. To make matters worse, the center of the lasagna was cool. Avoid this place like the fuggin plague, y'all.

Had a pizza after a movie...ordered the veggie for $16.95-way over priced for what we got...hardly had any veggies on it and very little sauce. Kind of dirty inside and the office was on one of the tables...computer, paper work etc...

Ok where to begin with Mama Lido's. I've had food from here 5 different times (all under current ownership) and each time the food quality was completely different. The first time I ordered a pizza for delivery to my house and it was literally the worst pizza I've ever had- it was not edible. $21 after delivery and tip right down the drain. Everything about it was bad- the pepperoni, cheese, sauce, and dough. I've only pitched pizzas a few time, and every other time I picked the pepperonis off but not this time. The food was also late- I was quoted 45 minutes- but almost definitely sooner and it took well over an hour for it to arrive. I wrote a negative review that I have since deleted. The second time I came here I ordered a stromboli and I thought it was good. I changed my review after this because well- it was not like my first time. The third time I ordered a stromboli and I would characterize it as edible- but not good. Now the fourth time I had food from here, it was a pizza and it was really good. It looked exactly like the pizza they advertise and the exact opposite of what my first pizza experience was. I almost didn't believe it was from the same place. Then the most recent time I had food from here the pizza was just A-Ok. A step above Caesar's but below most other places. I also want to point out the prices of the pizza were different each time I ordered it even though I always got a large pepperoni. I'm not sure what the deal is here. Maybe an employee being nice and giving me a coupon? Maybe they quoted me a higher amount with the hopes that I'd pay cash and they'd keep my money? I've never dined in here, I've always either picked it up, got it delivered, or had a parent or friend pick it up. One thing that bothers me is that on their website they say that they reserve the right to close based off weather and business conditions. The weather conditions is no big deal, but with regards to business- it's a tuesday night and really slow does this mean they will close early? Not a fan of that. I'm not really sure what's going on here. How a place can have such inconsistent quality is a mystery to me. It looks like they're stuck in between having a buffet, trying to have a normal eat in restaurant, while also trying to run a delivery operation and too much stuff gets messed up. I always right honest reviews about my experiences at places and it's kind of sad that I couldn't write a more positive review about this place because I feel bad for independent owners that go out of business. I read a different review of this place where a person said this business was for sale- and I checked and it is on the Sokol and associates website. It seems like every owner has had to either shut this place down or sell it. Maybe it's a good idea to change the name of the business? I don't know. I also like how the owner refutes all people trying to scam. I've worked at corporate pizza shops and they follow the philosophy known as "the customer is always right" even though 90% of the time the customer is scamming, lying, or not intelligent enough to place an order correctly. Small business owners that stand up to people like that are my heroes. Pretty much everyone who works in the food industry wishes that we could refute customers trying to scam or writing negative reviews- so props to Jim for that.

This is my first review, and by coincidence, also the first time that I have EVER sent food back. We had stopped in for dinner prior to a 9:00 movie. My boyfriend had suggested dining elsewhere, but I pushed for Lido's as I was a regular about a decade ago, even had worked that shortly. I later found myself apologizing for ever having actually suggested dining there. There was not much right about this visit, but the most critical violation was COLD lasagna. I am not talking luke-warm, I mean out of the freezer cold. Absolutely the most DISGUSTING dining experience I had ever had. In my life, I have suffered poor food kindly, but I was afraid that this would make me ill and had to say something. Now to the second offense... I was made to feel very uncomfortable for speaking up. The meal was taken off the bill, but I was given very little options. Also of note, the lasagna was to come with soup or salad & as they were out of soup at 7:30, I was relagated to the SPARSE salad bar that was more dressing than vegetables.

I did not want to give any stars as i have not eaten here, but Yelp forced me to. I just want the owner to know that i was considering trying Mama Lido's until I read his responses to dissatisfied customers. I will not be stopping by. You sir should not be in business where customer service is involved. I'm thoroughly appalled at how you "apologized" and basically chastised several of your customers. There are too many choices in the area to deal with that kind of business ownership. What a shame. I'm sure I'll be the next victim of of your defensiveness and sarcasm. It won't mean anything to me but I'm certain someone else will read it and come till the same conclusion I have.

Crazy deals and quality pizza Stopped in with a friend who recommended the place. They had a lunch buffet with unlimited drinks, soup, salad and pizza for $10...too tempting to resist. Salad bar was average, but everything looked pretty fresh and tasted fine. It would have been nice if they had a vegetarian soup option, but it wasn't a big deal. The pizza was better than I was expecting, and if I hadn't been so full, I might have tried their dessert pizza (cherries and powdered sugar). I was surprised by their beer list too, which had a fair number of craft selections. The interior was a little worn and run-down, but not dirty. Overall, getting a beverage, salad and 2 pizzas (don't judge) for $10 is pretty unbelievable, especially since the quality is better than most chains.

Update -- manager called and offered to fix the order. We ordered a pizza from here through "skip the dishes" and were sent the wrong pizza. When we called Lidos to see if they could send the right pizza, they blamed the skip the dishes app. As it is their company and product, you would think they would attempt to correct the mistake. Instead, the woman on the phone was extremely rude. Mistakes happen - understandable. Heck, maybe it was the app that submitted our order wrong. We were respectful when we called, but after the attitude we received, just said we wouldn't be back, and hung up.

All you can eat pizza!!! I had a restuarant.com coupon for Mama Lido's so tried them out for lunch on a saturday. I should have read the coupon because I couldn't use it lol, but still decided to dine there. Very simple inside, I liked that they had board games. My date and I played scrabble while we ate (I lost booo). For lunch they had all you can eat pizza, calzones, and strombolis for $10! amazing deal in my opinion. I had a hamburger and sausage pizza (not that appealing), green pepper and pepperoni stromboli (kind of dry), sausage and pepperoni stromboli (pretty good), and tried my date's calzone, pizza and dessert pizza. The pizza was not great but our waitress was fun and we were able to try a lot.

I decided on trying Mama Lido's since I seem to be on a nostalgic pizza trend lately. Having re-opened under new management, I figured I give these folks a shot. It hasn't changed much since I was last here 10 years ago. I went in on Sunday at around 2:15 pm. A very nice lady greeted me and got me sat down. Explained that they had an all you can eat pizza and salad buffet for $9.95. The 3 pizzas in the warmer all had pepperoni (can't eat that) so she was nice enough to offer to make a fresh one for me up to two toppings if I wanted. It was nice of her to offer that. Anyways, I ordered a vegetarian pizza off the menu and it was good but not great. Frankly it wasn't as good as I remember them being. Crust was crispy outside, chewy inside. There was a decently flavored sauce and a good amount of toppings. It could have been a little more done on the top though... I did notice that there were a bunch of games and some books on the shelf at the back of the dining room. Good for occupying the kids. If you have a family and want to feed them well, for a reasonable price then this would be a good place to bring them. Especially before going to the dollar movie theater a few doors down. I'd give them a 3.6 if Yelp allowed a more specific rating system. *Pizza was cut into squares as it should be.

our family decided we are going to take a long vacation from franchise restaurants. We stopped to eat after my daughter's swim meet. My wife ate here about 15 years ago, but management recently changed. It was for the better! We got the buffet. The salad bar was very basic... but ok. The pizza, call one and stromboli were all really good. Everything was made to order and according to the waitress home made... DELICIOUS. The crust was crispy on the bottom and chewy everywhere else. The sauces were also delicious. We will be back! Not a place I would take a person on a first date, but they do have good food.

I'm just going to get down to business.. I have given this place 4 tries and this is how it went.. The owner and staff are very rude and unfriendly. One day I came in and saw a sign saying 1slice of pizza and soda for $3.75 and thought ,what a great deal! I asked the very rude kid with gauges and piercings if I could get that and his response was, "No one orders that." I then asked for a carryout menu for when I decide to come back another day and I was told they don't give away carryout menus. Another time, My friend and I came in to order bread sticks before we saw a movie. WORST DECISION EVER. The front staff looked at us and didn't even greet us. We walked into the dusty dining room and ordered what they called mama doughs. What a mistake. They were tasteless balls of dough covered in butter. We didn't even finish them and the waitress didn't even ask how our meal was. Another time my mother wanted to try the pizza buffet. It was once again dusty in the dining room. It looked untouched since the last time I was there. The pizza was burnt at the bottom. The lettuce was gone and the owner was less than friendly. Through out the meal we heard the owner and his wife complain about business and when we were leaving he complained to us about how the price of cheese went up.. Like we were suppose to have any sympathy for him. The last time I decided to give it a try and get a pizza for carryout. The medium pizza I ordered was once again half burned and the price didn't match the carryout menu price. The owner charged me almost 15$ for a medium. I am for now on going to donatos before a dollar movie. So now Jim W. I ready for you to mock my comment and explain to me how I'm wrong. Maybe today you'll learn to take criticism to improve business.

Eh...just ok, pizzas were lacking toppings and flavor, service was super slow. Will go elsewhere next time

I loved the amount of cheese in the pizzas! The crust is thicker and the pizza was party cut. The sauce is light, so if you're like me and order light sauce, there is no need! And they have deep fried cheesecake....it was marvelous! Took an hour and ten minutes for delivery through grubhub which is why it is 4/5 stars....everything else was great!

Our last time there. Hadn't been since the new management change. Slow...slow...painfully slow. Like, 30 minutes AFTER we ordered they came out and confirmed what we ordered. One meal came out 10 minutes before the others. When I questioned what the heck was going on, as There were a total of 4 tables occupied in the restaurant. They told me they have a lot of carryout biz. Well, I really don't care, but I do care about our meal. Very frustrating. Thankfully there games otherwise kids wouldn't have made it through and we would have left.

First time here under the new owners, who were very personable. My wife pronounced the manicotti quite good. I ordered the lasagna, which was tasty, but WAY too huge for one person. I barely got through half of it. Will go back for the buffet (price seems right!), and see if their pizza is still as good as the previous incarnation.

A couple months ago, two co-workers and I went here for lunch. I did not have the best experience and have not been there since... I was willing to give them another shot, but decided to check here first to see what the reviews were... Unfortunately for the restaurant (and the owner, in this case, and his life savings), I will not be coming back.... I'm sorry to say, but the experience, the atmosphere, combined with the negative attempt, from the owner, of all people, to attempt to rebut reviews has solidified my decision to steer clear of this place... I highly doubt a successful business owner desires to have his restaurant negatively reviewed, but refuting reviews from customers, rather than apologizing and trying to make the situation right is a sure sign of a failing business model... After all, have we not taken our own time to provide feedback about the business to give an opportunity for improvement rather than allow the business to fail? I was really hoping the recent change in ownership would improve the business over the prior, but seeing the restaurant go even further down the tubes is a sorry picture to see.

The worst service ever. The owner is an idiot. Waited an hour and 45 minutes delivery for a shitty bowl of smashed pasta with no meat when I ordered a $12 chicken entre. Spent over a half hour trying to contact the restaurant and no one answered. The phones continually cut off. Do not support this restaurant. Spend your time and money elsewhere.

Owner is in over his head. Generally a nice guy, but shouldve stuck to previous career. He's been open for over a year and the food and service have not really improved much. I live nearby, so Ive given it several tries due to the convenience of being able to walk there and see a cheap movie next door. Salad bar ingreidients are rarely fresh. The soup is always either greasy or drying up and crusty. The pizza is either hit or miss. Usually miss though a couple times the palomino sauce made it superb. Must depend on the cook. The service is almost always questionable. Slow is the norm even when youre the only table there. Ive waited for my drink order to be taken for almost 10 minutes at least twice. No apology or anything from the waitress...just business as usual for her. Food is almost always at least a half hour wait...even for an 8 inch pizza. Good thing Donatos is also walkable. Not my fave either, but always consistent.

Went here with some friends from work for lunch once because they were craving pizza buffet. For being a pizza place, they had a surprisingly limited selection in their buffet. There were only two types of pizza out at once. They seemed to bring out different types when the old ones finished, but this only happened once while we were there. The pizza was... 'meh.' There was also a very underwhelming salad bar, some wings and pop-corn shrimp. The wings were actually pretty good - that was the only thing the buffet had going for it. If I somehow find myself here again, I'll be ordering something off the menu. The buffet is cheap, but not worth your time.

I recently visited Mama Lido's on Bethel Road while in the area with a group of friends. We visited the restaurant on the recommendation of a friend in the group who claimed he had grabbed a slice there a couple of months before. While we were looking for a quick bite, we decided to sit in the dining room and order from the menu. The atmosphere of the dining room was best described as bizarre. The room was completely devoid of customers, the menu was printed on bent card-stock, a table in the back was covered in paperwork and an open laptop, and worst of all, there was a speaker system set up playing loud country music....in an Italian Restaurant. Our server came over and while nice enough at first, decided to wipe the sweat from her brow with her forearm (this is the moment when we should have left). We ordered and asked specific questions about our choices since we had never been there. The server awkwardly put in our choices on her iPhone and left. Our food took longer than expected to come out, which was easily accepted in anticipation for the quality Italian food we were craving. Of the three orders, only one was correct. The first order (a cheese pizza), came out of the kitchen as a supreme and the calzone (ordered specifically with breaded chicken and Alfredo only) included onions and other items. The server took back the calzone and fifteen minutes later returned with a remade dish considerably smaller than the original one. Eventually our server returned with our checks, two of which were incorrect as they were charged nearly double the menu price. The server blamed the discrepancy on the application on her iPhone and offered a 10% discount as amends for the confusion. We said no to the pitiful offer and she withdrew into the back to call the owner for an override on the price. We were appalled there was any question about the dispute. The restaurant offered a buffet offering all you can eat calzones and salad bar for just $9.95, the same price as the single calzone ordered! When the server returned with new checks at the corrected price, we waited another ten minutes just to get our cards back and leave! Finally we all left, leaving only a $1.00 tip each out of etiquette, not out of merit. In all, we wasted two hours of our day on mediocre Italian food and despicable customer service. Lido's needs to evaluate the quality of people they hire. While the food had potential, the atmosphere needs a makeover and the staff need severe training in customer service.

We went in for lunch today before a matinee at the movie theater also located in Carriage Place. We opted to order off the menu because the buffet didn't look too fresh. Our pizza came out hot and fresh with a good amount of cheese and sauce. It tasted pretty good. I've had better pizza, but I've also had much worse. The atmosphere is not the greatest and the dining room was somewhat dingy, but my kids didn't seem to mind. I wouldn't make it a destination meal, but it's good for a quick bite before a movie.

Very disappointed in the service tonight. Our waitress took our order, brought our food, then brought our check. That's the only time we saw her. The rest of the time she was at the table next to us talking to the people sitting there and holding their baby. She apparently knew them. The baby's nose was running and they kept talking about how she felt hot. Great. Our waitress plays with a sick baby then serves our food. Don't think I'll be going back.

It was the weekend and I was kind of looking for a place to get pizza and maybe a salad. I was in the Bethel/Sawmill area, which is near my apartment. I stopped into Lido's Pizza during the pizza buffet hours on the weekend (noon-3pm). I wasn't expecting to be blown away, but I was looking for warm food. I get the buffet and there wasn't any plates, no lettuce on the salad bar, and the pasta was cold. I asked the server for plates and he didn't even acknowledge me. About 5 minutes later, the server comes out of the kitchen with a stack of plates. I won't go to this place again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's sad because it is a locally-owned business. I like to support local establishments, but nothing was stocked and every aspect of the service & food was well below average. I can't do it.

The worst thing about Lido's is the seating - the booths are among the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered. Having said that, Lido's is a decent enough place to eat if you are in the area. Their Ravioli Parmesan is tasty, and the Chicken Marsala is good value for money. Though we haven't tried their pizza, it is extremely popular, and it looks pretty good too. Lido's is not a place we would go out of our way to visit, but it's good if you're hankering for some cheap Italian eats, and are unlucky enough to be on Sawmill.

Decent pizza buffet... make sure you get the dollar off coupon. Not so crazy about the regular menu. But with that much pizza, why order anything else. Oh, avoid the other pizza buffet place in the shopping center. Lido's is 10x better.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
