Out of all the bars in the North Campus area, Ledo's is the only one that's completely shameless in its methodology. Lure girls with shaky ID's in with a free cover and cheap beer, get them sauced with free shots, then let them loose on top of the bar. As tactless as this business model is, it's worth banking on to get some of the creepiest dudes this side of the Olentangy through the door at $3 a head. You can scoff at the idea, but hey, it works. Whether it sounds promising to you or not is a completely different story. It usually takes me at least 6 drinks to shut off the parade of insanity that's taking place around me at any given time here, which, lucky for me, is a rather inexpensive undertaking at Ledo's. There's usually some sort of shot or pitcher special going on, but the domestic drafts are always cheap anyways. Tuesday nights offer 25 cent mini-bottles of Budweiser products, which is if you're in the mood for having a visual display of just how much cheap beer you've put in your system in one sitting. The bar has a dinky feel to it, but there's enough nooks and crannies in the two other rooms (one with a wall of dartboards and the other with pool and foosball tables) to keep you from feeling claustrophobic. The "dance floor" by the windowsill is a complete joke and is usually only used by girls that just turned 21 and are one the verge of puking. The crowd here is a weird mish-mash that's impossible to pin down in one sentence. You'll see a group of frat guys here and there, a beer-league softball team celebrating a loss in the corner, some of the weird loner types that live in the neighborhood hitting on the bartenders, and maybe a handful of people that didn't feel like waiting in line to get in to Miani's (the bar across the street.) It's pretty come-as-you-are at Ledo's, and if it wasn't for the usual cover of $3 on most nights, I'd certainly like this place a lot more

So my friends and I discovered this place when we saw the sign on a Friday touting free pizza, instantly convincing us that it had potential. It's become one of our favorites for many reasons. It has a good mix of mellow college kids and neighborhood regulars, and the owner has talked to us on multiple occasions in the dozen or so times we've been there. A couple weeks ago the owner bought a small bus and started offering shuttle service to and from the bar from 10pm to 3am on Thur, Fri, and Sat. We took it this past Sat, drank margaritas and beer, played darts, and rode it back. And they always have decent music on, sometimes classic rock and 80's (think John Hughes films) and sometimes new rap and stuff like that. We also love Sundays because of the free pool. And the reason we come most often is the free pizza from 6-8 on Fridays. There's a pizza place connected from the side street (can't remember the name) that makes some pretty good stuff and we just drink pitchers of Bud Light and munch on pizza for a couple hours before we decide to stay the night or head downtown if we're drunk enough and want to dance. Drink prices are fair, and every night has a different $2 shot special along with beer specials.

I was just bumming around N. High and stopped in at Ledo's for about 3 seconds. It seemed like your standard 19 and under bar. Lots of really young college kids drinking cheap bear and playing pool. There's nothing especially remarkable about it. It's a lame dive bar. But for my dive bar dollar, I want to meet leather-faced bums who drink to drown their broken dreams. Not frat kids who drink to make themselves feel more interesting. I would suggest avoiding it at all costs if you're actually of drinking age.

My friends and I love this bar. We can never turn down karaoke on Fridays! The wait is never long to receive drinks, there's a small outdoor patio, and they have super elaborate and yummy Bloody Mary's on Sundays. Late Night Slice is even right around the corner!

Wow. I actually loved this place. There was a, um, inexperienced local band singing old faves like "Sweet Jane" and "Folsom Prison Blues". There was Bud, Bud Light, and some other Bud permutation on draught. There was a guy playing bongos! What is not to love about that? Somehow the place had good energy. Altho right as I was leaving at 11:30 a bunch of frat dudes came rolling in and called me a {word that starts with f and rhymes with maggot} for saying excuse me when I walked out. {sigh} Manners.

Think for a minute about your group of friends in college. You know that one female friend who used to be so much fun! She was the one you could always turn to when you needed cheering up, the life of the party always taking things up a notch for the group. ...But then sometime around sophomore year she started drinking too much and sleeping around. (There's one in every group, I know you know the one.) At first her wayward behavior was somewhat exciting as the party lifestyle transformed your lame nights at the neighborhood pub into a night on the town. Suddenly you caught yourself being pulled up to dance with her on top of the bar. Suddenly you realized she wasn't your friend anymore. Ledo's, you are that girl. I used to love you! Cheap drinks, dart boards, and lenient doormen made you the perfect go-to. But once you started hiking up that skirt for some added attention ($$), I felt like you lost your identity and your charm. You are no longer a beloved almost-Clintonville dive, Ledo's, you are just another trashy North Campus bar just like all the trashy North Campus girls who come in there. I haven't given up on you -- at least not yet -- but I am sincerely hoping this is just a phase so we can get back to the good times soon.

Ledo's, we used to have such a love affair... but then I turned 21 and said goodbye to that terrible fake ID i had, and it was on to better bars. This few blocks of High St. has taken a turn for the worse I'm afraid. Aside from good musical acts at Oldfield's I haven't had much fun in any bars on this block since before I didn't know any better. Ledo's - if not completely packed with annoyance - can have it's moments. I have played some worthy competition on the pool tables in the back and the ample bar games (fussball - mini hoops shooting game - 2 pool tables) can give you options for a little competitive entertainment.

You know this is a fine place to have a beer, play darts, and shoot some pool. They have a nice happy hour, some cheap bar food and usually a pretty normal crowd. On sunday nights they have $1 pitchers of natural light - so if you are still drinking that then this is your night. For several Sundays during football season we used to watch football, shoot pool drink $1 pitchers (it used to be Molson back then - dating myself here) and have some cheap pizza subs. We spent $10 or less and had a great time. It looks a bit sketchy...inside and outside. But its a decent place despite still being a college bar. You can certainly get a break from the typical college bar here though. If you have a few bucks in your pocket and like good beer they actually have it here unlike many places nearby. So even if you are past the college age you can still relive your glory days but this time you drink your beer for the taste.

This place is my go to Friday night joint - the Karaoke is the best part! (Not to mention I love all of the bartenders) Its really relaxed environment and good if you just want to gather around to hang out with people with good music. Its also a great place for game days. Great patio space, awesome food (Mikey's Late Night Slice), darts, pool, ect. There can be a little bit of an 'undergrad' crowd, but its a separate type from the campus bars. Love this place!

I don't really know what this place is like on the weekends, nor do I know what it is like when it is busy, but when Ledo's is empty, it's my place to be. It has a nice clean interior with, a good selection of draft beers, at reasonable prices, and a decent sized bar. They have a really good sized room where you can play darts ( for free ! just drop off your ID) It's a great way to spend some time with your friends, even if you are terribly bad like me. You can access Mikey's from their back game room, which is a nice touch, great pizza. The back game room has some more seating, and a couple of pool tables, and arcade games which are fun to dable in. There are certainly worse places within walking distance to my house that you could go to.

Lots of fun bar games, decent beer prices (expensive liquor though). Not a fan of the bands they usually have play.

You know, I gotta say I misjudged this place. From the outside, it's in that hub of places just past the Old Town North arches that seems like it could go either way. But inside, it's all hard wood floors and clean sports bar type atmosphere. These people were on top of it too. One of my friends accidentally dropped a glass (making room for the Mikey's Late Night Slice I'll get to later) and staff were totally chill about it. They were prompt, brushed off our apologies as NBD, and helped us get things back to good. As for aforementioned Mikey's, I had no idea you could access Mikey's from their game room. There was a line and it was slow, but the more you drink, the less that seems to matter. Speaking of the game room (there's actually 2), if arcade games or bar games like pool are A Thing for you, this is a great, well-lit, non seedy place to take care of those wants and needs. This might go to the top of the list for local non sucky bars (and I mean that in the best way possible)!

During the final game of the Women's World Cup, I ended up here with a bunch of friends. I'd never been here before, but I have several friends who had spoken highly of Ledo's. As it turns out, we had a great experience at this bar. First, it was pretty empty, which was a nice change of pace since some other places were packed that night. Also, they had cheap drink specials going on even though it was the weekend, which is always a nice plus. There were several screens tuned in to the game, so everybody had the opportunity to watch. And the bar is attached to Mikey's, so if you want some quick cheap food, it's only a few steps away.

You're walking down highstreet, looking for a decent happy hour. You approach some place on the corner and think it looks shady as fuck. "Whatever," you say--"That girl on Yelp said this place was pretty legit." You walk in. It's just after 3pm and soothing sounds of Hank Jr. welcome you. The girl behind the bar is pretty and doesn't seem like those dumb girls that work downtown. "How's it goin?" she says. You smile and tell her you heard they had a happy hour. She nods and says "Yeah, drafts and bottles are $2 bucks. except for the couple of drafts you'd assume weren't." Curiously you scan the drafts. Bells Two hearted, Sierra nevada, Kona, new Holland, Founders?! You get the Bells (You always get the Bells). The girl goes into the back and comes back with pizza. "Where'd you get pizza?!" The girl swallows (giggity?!) and says "Yeah, there's a Mikey's right there...just go through the game room." Okay, so now your mind is blown. Good beer, game room and Mikeys. But what else does Ledo's have to offer? 1. DARTS. An entire room dedicated to darts. 6 boards, actually. TVs on the wall so you don't have to miss the game and plenty of counter space to put your shit. The patio is just through this room as well. They also host leagues on Mondays and Thursdays. 2. SERVICE. Your friendly bartenders, Keller, Lindsey, some new girls and Hannah will make most of your wildest dreams come true. By that I mean, they'll turn on whatever game, turn the music up, and pour your beer. They are personable and genuine. 3. Big Buck Hunter. Now maybe for you this isn't a draw, but for me it is. In the game room (access to Mikey's), 2 pool tables, a golf game and basketball. Now, as for the happy hour it's everyday (you guessed it!) from 3-8. I can walk to Ledo's so I stop in after work and throw some darts before heading home. Stop in, you'll be happy you did.

A few friends came in from Cleveland and we wanted to drink somewhere cheap and close by, so we went to Ledo's. It's definitely a dingy place, but set up so you can hang out in a few different rooms which is kinda cool if it's cold out so you don't feel trapped in one spot. There's a massive warp-around bar, which is staffed to provide the booze pretty quickly. Luckily the brightest room is the dart room, which was drafty from the door that leads to the smoker's patio. The billiards area was pretty packed, but we did get to shoot some hoops in the back at the arcade basketball machine. Unfortunately, other than the bar there isn't anywhere to sit so we had to stand most of the night, and we didn't get to play any other games because it was so crowded. If you're into amazing pizza, Mikey's Late Night Slice is actually ATTACHED to Ledo's, and you can get in line without going out into the cold to get there, which is a total bonus...but I hope you like to eat standing up. #slutsauce #divebars #cheapdrinks #games

This is kind of a jock/undergraduate party princess type of bar, and so i avoid it most of the time. But it has provided some laughs and some flirtatious excitement on the maybe two occasions i girded my loins and entered there. There are dartboards and lots of dudes with their white hats turned back to front. There are girls with too much makeup and spray on tans. But i shan't indulge in mean stereotyping exclusively and admit that what Ledo's and its clientele tend to lack in originality is compensated for by the feral fun of youngsters escaping the nest and cavorting in the world of becoming.

A bar that aims directly at the lowest comon denominator and hits the bullseye. Crappy beer (95% of every drink sold seems to be Bud or lower quality), crappy music (everyone playing the night I was there showed no influences besides Jack Johnson and DMB) and crappy people. I went from zero to stumbling drunk here, and the bro-itude of the clientele still scared me off.
