Stopped in for lunch the other day. Based on recommendation I tried Super Rocket sub sandwich. This was a hot italian sub with pepperoni and extra cheese. I really liked it. It wasn't dripping with grease or sloppy. I'd recommend this sandwich. A friend tried the Pizza Sub and was really disappointed. I didn't like it either. This is a small place located in a strip mall. They didn't seem very busy at all and the service was kinda slow. This dampened my otherwise positive experience.

I was also present with Roland K. We had originally set out for some wings at Buffalo Wild Wings, but got denied due to a power outage. We continued to Rooster's but had the same result, so, desperate for food, we stopped at De Arini's. Di Arini's is co-located with a bar / restaurant called "Cementos," which I would describe as an "old farts" bar. Even midday on a weekday, that place was hopping (or at least shuffling). Given the clientele there, I was a little afraid of what I would find at De Arnini's. Roland has already commented on the "Rocket" sub and the pizza sub, and I concur, so I'll skip that and talk a little about ambiance. The seating area at De Arini's is small. Probably 12 tables at the most. The kitchen is primarily a pizza kitchen, and is wide open to the dining area. Not a bad thing, but you can hear the pizza chefs shouting back and forth to each other. The decor is sparse, consisting of the ubiquitous vinyl checkered tablecloths, and one of those animated 6 foot tall Halloween butlers that you see at the gag stores. One of the table's next to us still had a piece of lettuce from last night's salad stuck to the side of the cloth. Because they don't have a foyer, they suffer from the fly problem that seems to plague Columbus in late summer and early fall. Three of the buggers kept buzzing us as we ate. Service was s-l-o-w, and luckily none of us had meetings to get back to at work. Apparently, the kitchen also provides food service to the bar next door, so our waitress was split between the two. I definitely got the feeling that if you aren't a regular, you aren't welcome there. No overt hostility, but also not the warm welcoming you get at some Italian places. I would have given this place only two stars, but the Rocket sub was enough to edge them an extra star. I would definitely recommend them for take-out, but only eat in if you absolutely need to.

There's a little Italian restaurant just off Henderson Road that's been around since 1967 (At least that's what the menu says) called De-Arini's Villa. Whether or not they've been in that particular spot, I don't know, but what I do know is that they've been there for quite some time and not many Yelpers have checked it out. The place is a bit confusing at first, because it's really two places rolled into one. Cementos is the bar side of the establishment, which was filling in with a much older crowd when we went (65+), and De-Arini's on the other side where the kitchen and about 8-10 tables were setup for dining in. We ended up sitting on the latter half and were the only ones in there around lunch time on Sunday. My girlfriend wanted an Italian sub, and I was trying to narrow down my choices. Most of the places I looked at were closed on Sunday, and I decided I wanted to head into Fresh Market, so I settled with De-Arini's. Most of the reviews I've read said the subs were awesome, but there weren't many reviews, so I thought I'd test it out myself and throw an opinion out there. The staff was very friendly, but the service was a bit slow, mainly because the girl taking our orders was also bartending over at Cementos. They definitely weren't busy enough to have a bunch of servers, but it did make it a bit of a pain trying to get her attention. Luckily, she had to come back into our area in order to pick up food orders. There's plenty of subs on the menu, but for Italian subs, you can either get the Rocket or the Super Rocket (this one has more cheese and adds pepperoni). I had the Super, and my girlfriend had the regular, and they came out pretty quickly. The bread was so tasty along with the meat and dressing. They went a little heavy on the iceberg lettuce, but that was easily removable. The girlfriend said it reminded her of India Oak but not quite as great. These were some tasty subs though, no doubt, so I would highly recommend checking the place out to anyone in the area. They also crank out a lot of pizza it seemed, and they smelled wonderful, but I'd have to come back to try those. If you're on this side of town and looking for good hot sandwiches, I'd suggest giving this restaurant a shot. They've been in business for nearly 50 years, so they've got to be doing something right.

Solid pizza offering from topping to crust. Part. 1 Overview/Mushroom Rant. The girl and I split a large with half sausage/mush and half pep/bp. I personally can't stand mushrooms on pizza, but she loves them and splitting the pizza this way usually prevents me from eating the entire large in one sitting like the hedonistic glutton I am. Alas, my plans failed as De-Arini's had just about the best mushrooms (even if I'm pretty sure they came by the can) and sausage I'd ever had. I know it sounds like a paradox, but I believe the canned mushrooms made them taste more fresh. Having some experience in the pizza industry myself, I can assure you that "fresh" mushrooms are often a week+ old before they even arrive at their destination and are sometimes so disgusting that they make the walk-in stink... ANYWAY. Part 2. Topping Distribution--Too Much? The topping distribution was finally worth what I pay for on a pizza. Some places give you progressively fewer toppings the more you order, thus ensuring they make more money, while, technically speaking, you get less--all under the auspices of "cooking procedure." NOT THE CASE at De-Arini's. I got hella pep and banana peppers. I had so many banana peppers I almost wished I had less, but then I remembered that I had paid for banana peppers (something like a buck per topping, maybe .75) and was INSTANTLY GRATEFUL that they had hooked me up. Part 3. Errata Crust is crispy but not too thin like bogus donatos. Sauce is a nice mild red that you can spice up at home with sriracha or some kind of habanero/jerk sauce. Part 4. Service Also, the service counter guy was funny and honest. When I asked if the bleu cheese they were giving me a side of (shut up, you disgusting ranch-mongerers, it's good on pizza) was made in house, he laughed at me and reminded me that De-Arini's is an Italian place. They make their Italian dressing. Duh. God that guy was awesome. Tipped him two bucks and hit the road. TL;DR I'm John Glompson and I approve this pizza joint.

I came over with a Groupon. And decided to get the Super Rocket sub to eat there and an order of lasagna to take home. I just finished eating the lasagna and this was a five-star experience to be sure. First the sub: one of the best subs I've had. A healthy portion of meat, tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and hot peppers on a sub bun that was really delicious. And it came with a bag of chips. The lasagna had noodles, meat sauce, and ricotta cheese and was a large serving. It also came with a salad which wasn''t your regular leaf lettuce but had different types of greens and pepperocini. All of this was brought to my table by a lovely young lady who knew the answer to all of my questions. The only negative was the size of the room which was on the small side but I'm not going to penalize them for that.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
