Staff is very friendly. Solid offering of pub food with lots of tvs and great atmosphere. For the $'s one of the best choices you will find.

I've only been here once and had a pretty good burger- I would say this is a good spot to watch some games. But what I really want to say is I'm glad Chubby's is still around because nothing seemed to last at this specific spot before Chubby's.

Went back for another try. Sat down and ordered a beer with the thought of getting some food. They were in the middle of a shift change and I don't know if the waitress that just got off work and sitting at the bar did it or her replacement but they turned the juke box up so loud that I could not talk with and had to yell at the person sitting next to me. Out the door I went and spent $50.00 on food up the street. I think they have a very good menu but overly loud JukeBox will probably keep me from going back again.

I don't know what to tell you. I have complained before twice on your website. Tonite I came in and I was told that ur special for the nite,,!i could not take home. Once again I got lots of attitude from a staff member and my buddies joked all nite about what a bitch she was. How people does she have to piss off or annoy before you get it! You have also lost several great employees because of her!! Even your customers are afraid of her!! T Really!!

Chubby's is owned by the people that opened old bag of nails. I go there from time to time because of their specials. They have 10 dollar buckets and half off appetizers before 7. Best thing on their menu is probably the nachos. For 9 bucks, they put a whole bag of tortilla chips on a giant platter and fill it with nacho cheese and chili dip. It's always a hit with my friends because we can all share it along with buckets of beer that we order. After a hard day of work, I would go there to relax with the nachos and a bucket of beer for myself. It's a good 5000 calories I'm consuming, but I don't care because I'm asian. When was the last time you seen a fat chubby asian?

I've been here a few times to watch games and I have mixed feelings about it. They have pretty good bar food. The chicken nachos are huge and so good. They pile on a ton of toppings and it's hard for two people to finish it! I also like their hot pastrami, philly cheese steak, and fried mushrooms. My friend had the wings and he said they were some of the best wings he's ever had. They have a big beer selection but no menu, so our server had to verbally go through the list every time one of my friends arrived and asked about it. My biggest gripe about this place is that they don't have a good speaker system set up with the tvs. I was there with a few friends to watch a big Buckeyes football game. They have tvs all along the walls - a couple big screens and the rest smaller. Almost every tv had the buckeye game on, but you could only hear sound on a couple tvs right by the bar. We were sitting farther away so could barely hear anything. I expect all sports bars to have sound set up for a big game like this. Yeah, I know I could go home to watch if I wanted to hear the game but I think it's pretty standard in Columbus to actually have sound for Ohio State football games considering it's such a big sporting event every weekend. We relocated to a different bar at the half to watch the game. I'll probably come back for the food just to chill and casually watch games. Definitely won't be back to watch big time Buckeyes games though.

Definitely on of my favorite sports bars around Dublin. Great food and great deals. I went here to announce my engagement (I know it wasn't nice, but it was fun) our server brought us a round of shots on the house and we all had a good time. I always get the firecracker wrap! But the chicken quesadilla is amazing as well!

I see some of the reviews putting down the food, quite honestly I think the food is delicious as far as bar food goes. The wings are great, fried pickles delicious, pizzas are decent too. The beer selection is actually good as well with some local beers and your most popular crafts like founders and bells. They also have domestics very cheap, $2 20oz PBR is great while watching sports. The reason this bar only gets 3 stars from me is the service really is not good. You'll wait way too long to be noticed when you need anything. Also, this really grinds my gears, when a sports bar has some tv on a channel that has nothing to do with sports! I was at Chubby's for the UCONN v UK national championship game and one of the main tvs behind the bar was on freaking Fox News the whole damn game. Unforgivable.

Rating experience solely on alcohol; no food ordered on our trip...we were ready for drinks!!! Atmosphere is great; over 15 TV's and if you grab a booth, you'll have your own TV to watch. Beer was freezing, which is always what you want your beer to be. Menu looked decent...typical bar food, but what do you expect? Staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, this is a place we would return!

I'd give this 1.5 stars if it would let me; 2 seems like too much. I've been going here for years, but not since they remodeled and changed almost the entire staff (until last night). I'm finally done with this place. Service - Bad bad bad. It took 15 minutes to have someone take our order/get drinks, and the lack of attention kept going the entire time we were there. The place was only about half-filled, and there were plenty of open tables. There was 1 server doing most of the work/had most of the tables and very clearly stressed about it, and 2 standing around not really doing much of anything (they definitely weren't helping her). You had to plan ahead on drink and food orders to avoid running out. The service has always been hit-or-miss here when it comes to attentiveness from the servers, and apparently revamping everything didn't change that (it actually got worse). You can tell server turnover here is really high/there's always new people. That's not a good sign. If you come here, just sit at the bar or go up to the bar yourself for service. Food - It's bar food. Most of it is fried and/or greasy (but usually tasty). You and your digestive system have been warned. Atmosphere - WHY IS THE JUKEBOX TURNED UP SO LOUD ALL OF THE TIME?? This used to only be a problem when certain bartenders were working, and then just became too loud all of the time. You can't even have a casual conversation with the person sitting next to you unless you're almost yelling at them. This is a neighborhood sports bar, so this shouldn't happen. The TV's are plentiful and well-placed, so there is that. However don't be all that surprised to see non-sports shows on a few TV's because the staff isn't very attentive when things end/other things start. Just ask if you want to watch a certain thing. If you get a booth, each one has it's own TV that you can easily change yourself. Overall - I wanted to like it, but the service and too-loud music just ruined it. Go elsewhere

Ordered wings and tater tots. 1lb of wings for $8. 6 wings came with my order, decent size but not huge. Tots are tots. Ordered a Chubby's Mule, good liquor to filler ratio, but $7 each. Dang, really? Waitress was friendly and attentive. Would come back again, not sure if I'd get the wings again. They were good, but not a good value.

CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE PAYING! !! This is our neighborhood bar and we have been coming here (most Fridays) since it first opened as The Pig Iron. Over the years we have seen it go through many changes, and for the most part have not effected the quality of service and food. Unfortunately the latest change in management is very concerning. Lately my friends and I have been catching "mistakes" on the bill. These mistakes are add-on to your bill on items you didn't order, like an extra drink, or extra food item here and there. These "mistakes" is now happening every time, which makes us very suspicious that this is either a new management policy, or someone is skimming. Usually, if you point out there 'mistakes', they will change it. But lately, they have become less accommodating, and more argumentative. Also, overall quality of food has gone down hill, so much so that you would rather eat at a Burger King than here. Mind you, the menu has not changed, except the prices have increased, but the food is now horrible. I hope someone in management takes notice of this review and make the necessary changes. I really hate loosing this place or having to become regulars at another bar.

It pains me to write this, after all I have been going to Chubby's now for decade, but I think last night was my final visit. As bars go, Chubby's is a pretty standard sports bar. Lots of TV's, a juke box and pool table, etc. Drinks have traditionally been well priced. But what always stood out was the staff and the food. For many years the crew was the same and the fact that they knew you after a while made visits more entertaining. Now everybody is relatively new and I get treated like some stranger off the street. For years I never had to give a card to open a tab, and never walked out on a bill either by mistake either, but now I am asked more often than not to let them swipe the card. But the food is the real loss here. Chubby's always had large, hand formed burgers that were cooked to order without any of the "sorry we can't serve it medium rare because you might get sick" crap you get many other places. Honestly, I am going to walk past the wall of smokers and sit down to drink alcohol and you think I am worried about my burger being pink? Even the Lil' Chubby was a meal, and Lord help you if you got the Double or the Gut Buster. And chicken tenders....ah, chicken tenders. Years ago each tender was the size of your forearm. Sure, they certainly didn't come from an organic farm and were likely the result of some sort of North Korean genetic experiment gone awry, but damn they were good. And the fries......included with the meal, and always very crispy and perfectly salted. Had a burger last night, got the double that was the happy hour special. Was no larger than the Lil' Chubby used to be, nobody asked me how I wanted it done, I had to pay extra for the fries and they gave me about a third as much as they used to and they were limp lifeless shadows of the might Russets they once were. Plus the food sat on the counter in the kitchen a good 10 minutes before anybody brought it out...I know because I sat there and stared at it the whole time because I was really hungry. The special and two Red Stripe;s put the bill at $15......Red Stripe...from Jamaica...tho poorest country in the western hemisphere.....$3.75 a bottle. Friend had fish and chips and two scotchs and his bill was $25. Umm, no thanks. And the chicken tenders?...the current state of affairs is such that one has to look twice to pick the tenders out from the fries upon which they rest....from gargantuan and juicy to sad and lifeless. It is always worse to be a has been than a never was. If you are a has been, at least you had it right at one point. And then suddenly you didn't.

Chubby's seemed to me to be a place that doesn't know if it wants to be a family restaurant, a nighttime pub or an all out biker bar. Right off the bat there is a pool table outside under cover that greets you. With 4 - 5 folks smoking while leaning on it, I wasn't impressed (after 5PM for an adult beverage). Once inside (the front door slams like a freight train behind you; if it's not fixed be ready) the place is open and airy. A big room. With a half-moon shaped bar with the bartender facing the room, I felt uncomfortable. I don't like sitting at a bar with my back to everyone else. The cheeseburger was delicious which is why I'm giving a 3-star. I also have had some apps there and they're just that, run-o-the-mill apps. Basic bar food. I am barely on the 3-star train for Chubby's. It won't be a stop for me but maybe 4X a year.

There's something about it you just don't want to like.... But when you think about, there really is nothing bad about it. First off it's a bar. That's told by the technically 2 page menu in which one page is nothing but beer and drink specials. It has a one page menu, and basically its all cheap, and all amazing. We drove by this place actually on our way to another establishment when my sister commented she wanted to try it sometime as there were always cars in the parking lot. So a U-turn we made, and it was well worth it. We got a booth in its own little nook, which is actually nice. we fit 6 of us in there comfortably. The "roof" above us kept our conversation between us, and kept a lot of the ambient noise out. We had our own personal tv in the booth to watch a game. Our waitress even brought us the remote when we got tired of it and asked her to change it. The food was amazing and in incredibly generous portions. The burgers were big. The pretzel bites were fantastic!!! as well as the fried pickles. You really can't go wrong with anything on this menu. The waitress even brought us shots if we requested them, we never once had to go to the bar. The patio outside looks like it'd be really nice in the warmer months, although they did have 2 space heaters going outside. Spacious and has its own platforms off the main walkway for more tables. For a bar (which it is first and foremost) it's really nice! A pool table, a stage, a huge bar, plenty of seating, and the bonus is its a tiny pub type restaurant as well!! It's not party central, but it's not dull and boring either. It'd be a great place to hang out with friends and catch up!

Typical neighborhood strip-mall bar, decent bar-style food, and good drink selections. Food specials are especially great on Monday evenings, this alone will keep me coming back for sure. Beer prices are very cheap as well. Plenty of televisions coating the walls, good place to catch a game. You get in and out for an extremely reasonable price, and that keeps me returning to Chubby's!

Decent bar for a local bar. TV's are high quality with a lot of games on. Menu looked hit or miss, probably wouldn't eat there. Bartenders were decent. There was a local crowd that was mostly middle-lower class, but seemed like a safe fun group. Not a place for families or to ever take a client or date, but a good local pub to watch a game.

This is sad....because I really liked the place. Great seating, ambiance, plenty of TV's to watch any game you want to watch. IMPRESSIVE food - but beware, this isn't healthy stuff - but very good bar food. I'm a hot sauce addict and their hot sauces were impressive. Good fried pickles and our firends liked the nachos they had. Why 3-stars?? Well, unfortunately for us, our server was "Brittiney," who we didn't previously know...but she told us when we got there (keeping in mind, there were only 3 tables there when we arrived) that she "likes to talk." We never knew that at points throughout the evening, Brittiney would disappear for so long, we'd wonder if we were ever going to ge another drink! We had fun, and we'll try it again, but at the end of the night, we had to wait....literally....45 minutes to have Brittiney come back to us (and ladies/gentlemen..this is not a big place...and there were only about 6 tables in the WHOLE place at 11pm). Instead of getting a couple more drinks, our 45 minute wait turned into a rare opportunity to get our bills! So sad...I hope the owner reads Yelp b/c I own a biz, and I feel bad for the fact that whoever the owner(s) are, they've got a good thing going here, but whether they know it or not, iffy service!

My fiancee and I left here FURIOUS after nearly two hours at this local joint. We got there during the last quarter of the early games Sunday, 9/19/10, so we weren't *that* surprised that we didn't get waited on quickly. My fiancee finally went up to the bar and got us a couple of beers, and we watched the end of the games. We wanted to stay for the late games, but not one waitress EVER offered to get us refills on our beers. In fact, they all seemed to be pointedly ignoring us. I've never been treated so rudely in my life, and it's not like we're hunchbacks, street people or in any other way offensive. We finally left at the end of the 1st quarter of the Houston-Washington game. If *I* have anything to say about it, we will NEVER spend another penny in this place.

Sat there for twenty minutes and ended up walking out. There were three servers and a bartender, and the place wasn't even full. Just watched two of the girls talking in the sidestand for about ten minutes without even coming out during the OSU halftime.... The other served her few tables, but never ventured anywhere near us. Super weak. The food has been ok the other times I've been there, but service has never been great. If I can't even get a menu or drink, what's the point. I won't be back anytime soon.

The food is good and the nachos are mountainous. My only complaint is when sitting at the bar the way its designed, it makes it hard to rest your arms on it. I don't know maybe its because I am short. Besides that its a great place.
