Best Pizza on the South Side. For the past month or so I had the pleasure I suppose of working on the southside and when I did, I found the tasty cardo's pizza waiting for me to eat and enjoy when my mind felt like pizza, which sometimes was pretty frequent. The pizza here is traditional Midwest style. Thin crispy crust cut in to squares. I am normally a fan of lots of cheese but Cardos doesn't use a whole lot, but it works the Pep is decently spicy, and the sauce is sweet with just the right amount. Only real complaint is if you order anything with more then one toppings the toppings are on top of the cheese, and they slide around a bit if you aren't careful. That being said they do really throw on the toppings which is nice. The veggies some of them anyway, like the green peppers taste fresh and have a nice crisp snap to them. They don't have a huge dining room, but they do have a good selection of soda available for cheap for take out. Friendly staff, quick good pizza, can't really ask for more, other then I wish it was closer to my home, so I could enjoy you more.

Wow. Now this is good pizza. We ordered delivery tonight for the first time from this place and the only thing I'm sorry about is we've never ordered from them before. We got a large pep, a "works" salad and a veggie sub. The sub is sizable (9") and literally spilling over with toppings. Lettuce, tomato, onion, green pepper, banana pepper and mushrooms. I also ordered an extra item, black olive. There are tons of olives, tons of onions, just loads of toppings. This is how a sub should be made. I can think of a few places on the South end of Columbus (*cough*Dominos*cough*) that could take a lesson in sandwich-making from these guys. I'll get a sub from Dominos and there's like maybe 3 pieces of green pepper on each half, a few onions (if you search for them) minimal tomato... well let's put it this way - the last couple of times I've ordered a sub from Dominos, I've added my own toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion) before eating it. The pizza is simply perfect. Edge-to-edge pepperoni and a nice, crunchy crust. The salad is covered in ham, pepperoni, banana pepper, green pepper, mushrooms, tomato and shredded cheese (it's either mozzarella or provolone) and the lettuce is fresh, crisp and GREEN (no crappy brown stuff). It comes in a small container, but it's packed. Once you dump it out, there's enough salad for two people. On the menu, besides pizza and subs, is lasagna and spaghetti, garlic bread and wings. They also have anchovies. Don't see that very often these days. The pizza and sandwich prices are very reasonable, but I personally think they're a little high with the dinners and the wings. The lasagna and spaghetti dinners are $8 each (includes garlic bread but salad is extra). I can make a whole pot of spaghetti for half that. Their wings seem a little on the high side as well - $8 for 10, $15.00 for 20 and $35.00 for 50. I've seen WAY cheaper prices on wings elsewhere. But that's okay, we don't order wings very often and if we want spaghetti or lasagna, I'll make it homemade. We'll stick to the pizza and the subs. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

They have room for dining in. Pizza is usually consistent and good. I like the sauce but they can be stingy with it so ask for extra! We used to stop at Cardos after football Friday nights. They have coupons too, but most pizza places do.

Only giving 4 stars because we have not tried the pizza yet. We got the garlic cheese bread with their spaghetti sauce for dipping and it was delicious! The spaghetti sauce is the way to go! We definitely plan to go back and try the pizza next time. Unfortunately this location doesn't carry the White Pizza I really wanted to try.

The pizza wasn't bad. It had flavor, but not robust. The staff aren't friendly at all. They gave my wife weird looks, and talked and laughed among themselves as they drank beers while working. The pizza is worth a 3-star rating, but the service drops any possibility of us returning. You've got to at least a little appreciative to earn anything above 1 or 2 stars.
