I cannot recommend this local frozen yogurt place enough. They have true frozen yogurt, not the powdered stuff that places like Orange Leaf have gotten used to using. It's real yogurt! Not only thay, it tastes delicious! They change up the flavors (4 at a time) every month, but keep original and strawberry year round. If you get a chance, get the Pomegranate before they change it! It's amazing

Love Yagoot! I can't say there is anything else like it that I've enjoyed in any Yogurt shop. It's definitely real Yogurt if you want real Yogurt, as opposed to Orange Leaf. I don't load it down with the condiments. Straight Yogurt..tart and sweet and very very smooth!

  • Stephanie H.

Yum! Not too much to say about this place other than GO! Yogurt is creamy and tangy. My favorite flavor are strawberry and original. Toppings are always super fresh, but I usually forgo because they freeze in the ice cream and mess up the texture!

I'm a huge fan. Great frozen treat with lots of fresh fruit. Man I want some right now. Hopefully they'll get a refrigerated drone to start delivery!!!!

Had a strawberry-kiwi smoothie with some other stuff thrown in. Wow! This was the best smoothie I've ever had. Definitely worth the price. The staff was very friendly and had some great recommendations. Service was fast. This is a great place to stop on any visit to Rookwood!

There's only so much you can write about a froyo joint, but Yagoot has long time taken the spot as my favorite froyo place because I have always preferred real tart frozen yogurt and not the froyo that takes like soft-serve ice cream. Their froyo here is so refreshing and smooth, and their fruit here is always fresh.. not to mention their mochi which is also always on point. They have a bunch of other delicious toppings as well and also a great menu of other froyo-infused options. They rotate out two flavors of the month in addition to original and strawberry and I literally have never tried one I didn't like! Yagoot, you are so goot to me and I love you.

My best advice is give this place more than one try. The first time I went I was not ready for the tart flavor of the frozen yogurt. I've since learned the reason for the tartness--the yogurt is real and healthy and even the flavorings are natural and carefully selected. I've been impressed at how fresh the fruit toppings are each time I go in. Though, My favorite topping, I have to confess, is the completely unhealthy busken crunch. It's a blend of nuts, coconut and brown sugar. The original flavor with a set of toppings is delicious. However my favorite flavor of yogurt is caramelized pineapple. So delicious, no toppings needed. Beware! The stuff is addicting. It quickly became a pregnancy craving for me. I almost can't believe I'm saying this but I prefer it to ice cream on a hot summer night, because it just tastes fresh. It's a little pricey but worth the splurge. Every now and then they give away buy one get one free coupons and if you sign up to be a "ya groupie" they usually send an email with the monthly special or free taste test of a new flavor.

One word: Addicted! My fav yogurt (froyo) place in the U.S! Tops: Mango, White Peach, Coconut & Pistachio

It's soooo good. It's frozen yogurt... but not that ice cream/fro-yo stuff. It's literally frozen yogurt. So yes, it's tangy. Like yogurt. They always have original (plain yogurt flavor) and strawberry, and they rotate 2 seasonal flavors monthly. May 2014 is mango and caramelized pineapple. I usually get a small for myself, or a medium to share with the beau. We usually top with 2 fruits (they have blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, pineapple, mango) + mochi. But they also have the normal nuts, chocolates, peanut butter cups, gummy bears, sprinkles, etc that many people like. This stuff is so good, I could have it daily and not get sick of it. Yumm! ----------------------------------- Explanation of my rating system - 5*: Epitome of something, the best I've had, would LOVE to go back 4*: Great food and happy to go back regularly, but not the best of the category 3*: Food is fine. I may spontaneously decide to go there based on convenience. But no need to go back either. 2*: If you insist, I guess I'll come along. I'll find something to eat. But I wouldn't have picked it. 1*: No plans to come back. I'll try to talk companions out of going.

I always order the Whirled Famous Shake which comes with 3 toppings and/or protein powder (the protein powder is just an extra $0.75). I recommend trying the combination that I love which is their original yogurt with Cheesecake Bites and Chocolate chips. For a little crunch, I make my third topping the Crunch, the French Vanilla Almond Granola or the Nilla Wafers. Everyone that I've introduced to it has loved it!!

Before the myriad of self serve yogurt places made it to Cincy, Yagoot was here. I revisited them for the first time in years the other week, and was really pleasantly surprised. The yogurt is awesome quality, with really unique flavors, and I think that for what you get, the prices are awesome.

I was pleasantly surprised with their fro yo! They have some standard flavors, but also change it up each month. I tried one of the specials for the month- white peach. It was delicious! It wasn't tart, and it also wasn't too sweet. It was the perfect mix. They have an abundance of toppings you can choose from, whether you want to go the healthy fruit route or true dessert and add some sprinkles and chocolate chips. Coming from California where there is fro yo everywhere, this is first fro yo I have tried here and it was actually pretty good! I would definitely come back. The actual fro yo shop was a bit small, but typical for a fro yo shop. There were a few tables and a small bar with stools in front of the window. If you want a quick sweet treat when you're shopping in Rookwood, definitely check it out!

I love yagoot, almost as much as I love red mango. They have a good concept and amazing promotions. I love their Christmas in July promotion (pomegranate and italian cocoa, yummmm). But when I come here, I always get the strawberry froyo with the strawberry mochi & yomance. The yomance is like shaves of yogurt and crunch mix. Yum! Alligator crunch is good here too. Service is always friendly, and whenever I comment on their instagram, they always reply. my boyfriends dad loves getting pints to bring back home! The froyo here is pretty tart. Maybe get a froyo smoothie blend with your fave toppings? tl;dr solid toppings (yomance, strawberry mochi, alligator crunch), and tart froyo. Great customer service!

  • Rebecca D.

I love going to this place after a good workout! Love all the flavors. It also looks like they brought back pistachio and Italian cocoa early for a special treat!

Yagööt is the best Cincinnati Yogurt shop. It's real, live Yogurt (not some powder-mix) I actually like getting their smoothie-type drink the most when I go here - they have interesting flavors suggested on the menu board, but, of course, you can choose whatever flavors you'd like. As far as per-oz. cost, getting a pint is the best deal. Last visit I commented on the bathrooms and overall cleanliness of the store. Honestly, they just chose a tough floor-color to keep looking clean. I'm not sure if they'll really be able to get the stains off the neon-green and orange floors...but, until they swap the linoleum, it's going to have the appearance of "dirty." The seating is family-friendly. I did notice that on this visit the music was either off or turned down a lot...so it seemed a little eerie for a retail shop. Overall, this is still our favorite yogurt. We'll see you soon.

Yagoot, owned by Busken (didja know?), is still the most authentic frozen yogurt in town. While it's no Pinkberry, we can safely call it frozen yogurt instead of ice-cream disguised as froyo. I like sampling the monthly flavors (two each month--chai right now!), but in the end, I'm a fan of the original. I think you can tell a lot about the quality of the yogurt by the original. If you find yourself making more frequent trips, definitely get a goot card to collect points and get a free cup. Worth the extra space in your wallet.

  • Minnie Q.

It could have be a 5 stars if not because of some rude employee. It always clean, fresh produces, most of the staff are friendly. And sometime they remember what i usually order.

Yagoot trumps Orange Leaf. Yagoot is better than most other frozen yogurt I've had, actually. It's not really sweet, like some other places can be, so it might take you by surprise at first. Its tangy and some flavors can be a little tart, it's rich and dense and delicious! I've had it plain, with fruit toppings, with Nilla wafers, and I recently had a Red Saylor, which is Yagoot's version of a red cream soda float. Yummy! Even though they only have 4 different flavors in rotation at any given time, it's still better than the 20 or so flavors you get at the self-serve places. The Rookwood location is the only one I've been to, and it seems like the last few times I've been there Caleb was working, and he's a peach! Speaking of peaches, the white peach flavor has proven to be one of my favorites, along with the caramelized pineapple and the classic strawberry. The peach and pineapple are seasonal, so get 'em while the gettin' is good... or take home a pint. They have a case there where you can get them to go.

Yagoot yogurt was good, I like the xtra toppings of fruits. The decor of the place was cool.

  • Sophia L.

I love yagoot and have for years. The fruity flavors are always tart and delicious. The prices are usually okay for what you get, but I was a really disappointed coming to this location. When I used to go to the yagoot at Kenwood, they would always pile on the toppings which is how I justified paying so much. At the Rookwood location, I paid $1.25 extra for two toppings, which ended up only being two tiny spoonfuls. There wasn't even enough to get a tiny bit of the topping in every bite. I felt a little ripped off.

    (3)
  • Karen D.

Mmm good Yagoot's frozen yogurt is nothing like any other frozen yogurt you've tasted, ice cold, thick and flavorful. Just what you need to cool down on a hot summer day. Good plain with no toppings while even better with a few strawberries & chocolate chips. Stop by on your next Rookwood visit mmm good!

  • Amanda B.

For those nervous to try yagoot, just ask for a sample of any of their flavors and they'll let you try whatever they have on hand. For some, the taste is too weird. The flavor is pretty tangy and almost sour, but I find it to be very refreshing! Honestly compared to Orange Leaf, Yagoot just has something better about it. Orange Leaf has more of an ice cream gritty texture, and yagoot is smooth and creamy. The atmosphere is great and the service is always quick. Even if there's a line, they usually get people through rather fast. I highly recommend it!

  • Alexis R.

Best frozen yogurt and super fresh toppings. I love the shakes the best. Tart and tangy, but still sweet! If you're sensitive to tartness get a shake or strawberry yogurt. While you can't get all their flavors served anytime of year, they always have pints of their other flavors and now push-ups. White chocolate raspberry and mango are my favorites!

    (5)
  • Dawn B.

YUMMY!! Super creamy, rich and tart.... I don't know how else to describe it. It's real frozen yogurt, not ice cream infused. I personally like the coconut mango swirl topped with almonds...so good. They rotate flavors monthly and by season so there is always something new to try. If you like yogurt and frozen yogurt...this is a must try!

  • Priscilla C.

Yagoot should school its competitors on how to make REAL froyo. They achieved the perfect froyo consistency-not too creamy nor too watery, with lotsa tarty goodness and just the right amount of sweetness! Mango and Strawberry are among my favorites but I always find myself coming back to Original. I took a star off for the lack of self-serve option; depends who I get, but at times they skimp on the toppings. Other than that, I have no other complaints. The place is always clean and the staff are always friendly.

Triple yum yum yum. I thought I'd seen it all with yogurt, but Yagoot is in a league of its own. My mom and I were on a day-long shopping excursion (had just spent 3 hours in ONE store, it's true ... sad, but true) and we were plumb tuckered from all that exertion. We'd missed lunch but didn't want to fill up before dinner so started brainstorming about quick stops, something that didn't come from a place with the double arches. Yagoot was across the street. She hadn't been but told me she thought the flavors were mostly tart. I've gone that route at a place near me in DC and never found it particularly satisfying, puckering my mouth at every bite and missing out on the smooth and creamy that always makes my frozen treat experience. I started doubting that this was really the right choice, but when we started rattling off our other options and where we'd have to drive to get them, Yagoot it was. Thank goodness! Every flavor was divine, I couldn't make up my mind. She let us sample whatever we wanted and I didn't throw a lick of any sample in the trash, even when I knew I was getting my own little cup. Which, I must say, was inhaled nearly the second she put it in my hand. I had nooooo trouble with the small. I elected plain topped with strawberries and raspberries, my mom went with pistachio with their signature sugared-nut topping. As we were leaving I noticed that the "shake" seems to be the popular choice - there's always next time!

If you like tangy this is the place for you. I am giving it 3 stars because I prefer more traditional yogurt. They had 4 flavors tonight (strawberry, vanilla, pomegranate, and chocolate (they called it something else). They offer 3 sizes and will add in toppings for you - like 25 cents each for fresh fruit or nuts, coconut, cheesecake, chocolate, sprinkles etc. The small is a good amount and you can choose 2 flavors split in the cup. I prefer Orange Leaf for the taste but not the price. Restaurant is bright and has funky furniture. Doesn't seat a lot of people but I expect people usually take it to go with the outdoor mall. Nice desert after PF Changs.

Yagoot is my favorite frozen yogurt restaurant out of all the yogurt places I have been across the country. Yagoot features four flavors of yogurt (regular, strawberry, and 2 seasonal flavors), all of which are tart. Yagoot also features a variety of fruit, candy, and other toppings. The best item on the menu at Yagoot actually isnt on the menu. Ask for a parfait and you can pick 4 layers of yogurt and three toppings for $4.50. It just makes sense.

Not the hugest fan of sweet treats but I do have to say Yagoot surprised me! If you are like me and don't like sweets you might like this place. It is real yogurt so it is naturally tart. Like everyone else is saying, you really can't describe it. You just have to try it. The restaurant itself is trendy and modern and feels like something out of the Jetsons. You walk up to a bar of goodies and choose from about 4 different types of flavors to start. Then you get your "add ons" Each add on is an additional price. Some people go crazy and get fruity pebbles, chocolate chips, coconut, and everything in between! My boyfriend and I kept it simple. I had the peach yogurt with granola which tasted EXACTLY like a peach snapple. It was sooooo good. When he asked if we wanted a pint, I looked at Justin and said lets run!!! I'm already "one of them". You know, those scary people that are addicted. Now I know why! My boyfriend got the strawberry yogurt with kiwi. Yes, I said kiwi. As in freshly diced kiwi on his yogurt. Does it get any better than that? Or healthier? I don't think so. If you are in the mood for a cool treat but don't really like sweets this is the place to be. But be careful, you might get addicted...IN A GOOD WAY!

mmmmmm yagoot! they have THE BEST frozen yogurt in town. My favorite is the mix-up yogurt smoothie treat they have where you can get yogurt + toppings and drink it from a straw. Pistachio yogurt + mochi + oreo cookies = INCREDIBLE. seriously, try it. You can thank me later!

    (5)
  • Kim W.

Hands down the BEST frozen yogurt. Tart, flavorful, delicious. I've tried it all: toppings, shakes, floats, acai bowls. Only complaint is price, it adds up quickly and is a bit much for froyo. Only place in the area (that I know of) to get an acai bowl - yum! I'll take this over the bland self-serve places anytime.

My god I love Yagööt. The tingly tart goes right to my heart and warms my brain. It's one of life's amazing little treasures. This ain't no "serve your self" yogurt shop. Nope, they do it old school, You pick your flavor (they only have about four at a time and they change seasonally, all of them sweetly bitter in that fantastic kind of way), you add some toppings (from candy to granola to fresh fruit), and off you go. It's fantastic. This one is in the Rookwood Commons and, like all Yagööts, is adorable. Brightly colored, neon furniture, funky lights, wonderful. It's a great spot to eat in or take out to go. Now, yesterday I had an expereince I wanted to talk about. I got a Yagööt gift card and headed down here to get my yogurt on. Only after I ordered, they told me their gift card machine was down and they couldn't take the card. I must have looked sad enough because the guy went, "Hold up, I'm going to try to reset it," and off he went. We waited a while to see if this would work, happily eating our yogurt. After a while the worker came out and went, "Ok, we can't make it work and you waited around for a while and we don't want to make you wait any more. You can just go, it's ok." Really? Yogurt for free? I asked if he wanted me to write an IOU and come back and pay for it later when the card was working. "Nah, it's ok," he said. Wow, thank you. Now, I have no idea if he knew I worked for Yelp. I got the feeling that he might of. Still, knowledge or no knowledge, that was an awesome thing to do and it bumped you from a five to a solid, hardcore, recommended five! You hear me, you all go eat yogurt from here right now. It's amazing. Make yourself happy.

Wish I could double the star ratings!! Yagoot is, by far, the best fro-yo on the face of the earth. Awesome creamy texture, not grainy. The tart flavor is perfection (unlike that sickly sweet 'yogurt' other places serve).. Great selection of fresh toppings, not massive, just right. Nothing else even comes close. I love knowing what I'm paying when we go in. Yagoot is a must stop for us on our trips up to Cincinnati/Dayton. We usually stop when we're headed home, but quite often we will stop on our way up I-71 too. Thankful for the pints, my freezer bag or small Igloo cooler is ALWAYS in my trunk to take pints home! A definite must try if you're new in town or passing through!

Yagoot is one of my fav's. I have tried other yogurts but I love their originality. No one has yogurt that taste like Yagoot. Some love it. Some don't. I love it. I wish there were more Yagoots in Cincinnati. Campus. In the movie theatre. In the dentist office, great reward. No, but literally, try it. You'll like it. Usually, I see if people like Keylime pie first because it's tart. It's good though. Heaven.... in a cup.

  • Amanda C.

Yagoot is pretty good, but I don't like their choices as much as Fave in Hyde Park Square (or course, Fave is now "closed for the season," so...). It is a fun and novel place to grab some frozen yogurt, but I haven't found it to have staying power when there are so many other sweet tooth options around. Admittedly, I love sweets. If you're one of those people who find yourself saying, "Oh this dessert is too rich/sweet. I can't eat another bite!" -- and you actually mean it, then Yagoot is probably for you. That said... Cap'n Crunch as a topping? Awesome.

  • Katherine M.

Mochi? Fresh fruit? YES! I love yagoot. I have loved it since it came in. I always have loved it, since it opened. I loved other yogurt places (Ce Fiore, Pinkeberry) and was excited when Busken opened Yagoot. It only got better as they added flavors and more locations. The yogurt is tart and delicious, the ingredients are fresh and yummy. Definitely great for adults, but honestly, this isn't your kid's ice cream place. I always feel bad for kids here. They don't get it, who can blame them, they just want their chocolate ice cream, okay! Anyhow, great for a sweet treat that is actually fairly healthy.

  • Christina B.

Though I was initially put off by Yagoot's tartness (think plain Greek yogurt, not your standard American "frozen yogurt"), I've come around and now love the flavor. There's a hint of sweetness without it being overpowering. Coconut with the "crunch" topping is my favorite, though I enjoy all of the fruit flavors (skip the chocolate, which just doesn't work as well). My main complaint is the price--$3.75 for a small cup and one topping is quite expensive. They also only have a few flavors to choose from each time. The inside of the store is bright and cheery, and the high school students who work there are fine.

  • Kristan H.

Omigosh, how have I not reviewed Yagoot yet?! I ADORE this stuff. I even use "goot" as a verb in my daily vocabulary. (Ex. "Who wants to goot today?") Yeah, I'm pretty much addicted. My coworkers and I drive over to Rookwood to goot after lunch pretty much once a week, enjoying our dessert on the stone benches outside. I love the simplicity -- 3 sizes, 3 flavors (1 of which rotates monthly) and then lots of toppings -- and the fun, fresh interior. I usually get plain (which is a little tart, not sweet) swirled with the fruity flavor of the month, plus chocolate chips. The smalls are surprisingly filling; mediums usually last me a couple days (I store them in the freezer at work). For just $3 or $4, I think this is a great value. Interesting note: the plain flavor is very reminiscent of these yogurt drinks that me and my Chinese friends used to drink as kids. So Asians, you may be more familiar and accustomed to the flavor.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and make a trip to Yagoot already. This tangy, tart treat is unlike any of its neighboring frozen yogurt clones. Full of fruity flavor goodness and a creamy custard-like texture, you will be smitten after one bite. Seriously, that's not a joke. It's addicting. All of the flavors are delicious in their own right but like most things, they are not all created equal and Mango stands high above the rest.

  • Kara C.

Yagoot is a frequent stop for me because I can walk to it. Unfortunately I sometimes use it as a reason to not go to the gym. " I did just walk all the way to Rookwood and Yagoot isn't that bad for me." This exact scenario played out in my head just last night. My favorite combination so far is strawberry yogurt with kiwi and blackberries. You can't go wrong with any combination though. I enjoy that it is slightly tangy, making it unique. Yagoot also feels lighter to me than regular ice cream, meaning that I do not feel overly full/sick after. The lines can be long at times but the staff is always friendly and keeps it moving so you won't have to wait very long. Plus, it's worth the wait! Give Yagoot a try if you're looking for a cool treat. It is 99% fat free, gluten free, low calorie and the toppings are fresh. This makes it much easier to indulge!

Cute, nicely decorated store, attentive staff and it looks like care has been put into the product. My kids and wife love it. However, I have a sweet tooth. A major sweet tooth. I like my ice creamy desserts to be overpowering sweet. Rocky Road? Yes, please. This was more of a palate cleanser. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't what I want in a dessert. I didn't appreciate the tartness. Although, I do think my tummy felt better after getting some live cultures into it. I do like that the menu isn't jammed packed. This helps especially if the kids are indecisive that day. No 37 flavors to overwhelm you. I take that as another indication of care put into the product. My only complaint or bleg would be for a smaller small. We all ordered a small and each was too big for us.

  • Tamara S.

Yagoot is a year round treat that I indulge in when I have a few minutes to pop over to Rookwood Commons. I first fell in love with this luscious treat one summer after spending all day at the pool. It's the perfect combination of refreshing and tart. I always recommend to my friends that they start out basic when trying Yagoot for the first time; which means small original plus fruit. I personally have tried a number of the seasonal flavors and continue to go back to the original flavor. Depending on my mood, I will switch up between blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. The staff is always patient and willing to let you sample different flavors. The shop has plenty of space to eat in or sit outside on benches. This stuff is addictive once you get your personal go to combination down. I try to limit myself to small since it's on the pricey side but alas sometimes I cave and go for a larger size. Enjoy!

  • Leisa W.

mmmm, Yagoot. At first, I wasn't so sure--I prefer ice cream, and this frozen yogurt is, well--tart. But then, I enjoy feeling like I'm doing something healthy, while not suffering for it. That's a feeling worth giving it a few more shots. And what do you know, it's like I developed a palate for it! I will happily eat Yagoot in any season, but I think it shines the brightest in summer, when sometimes it's too hot for even an ice-cream-aholic like me to eat ice cream. It's can be too rich when it's really hot. But enter Yagoot! Now you don't have to deny yourself frozen concoctions! And with all that tingly-tartness, it really must be doing something healthy for me! Oh, I know it won't make me lose weight--I'm not THAT delusional--but it must be putting good bacteria in me or something. At any rate, it tastes really good and I like it!

  • M'Elise M.

I thought it was way too tangy and tart and overpriced. It tasted sour. I ended up throwing most of it sway. Even my two year old daughter wouldn't take a second bite and she eats everything!

  • Catherine C.

I love the tartness of Yagoot vs. other places like Orange Leaf. Though the selection is only limited to four flavors at a time, there's never been a visit where I haven't found something I liked. The prices are a bit higher than what I would have expected, but it's nice to have the fresh fruit topping options.

  • Leah J.

love love this place! - The plain yogurt has a little tang and not too sweet. They have tons of fresh fruit toppings and HIGH QUALITY toppings unlike other places that serve cheap, premade toppings that the only flavor anything tastes like is sugar. Best Combo - Plain yogurt, kiwi, strawberries and granola!

  • Sheila M.

Though the selection is limited in comparison to Orange Leaf, I like the yogurt here, especially the very tart pineapple and sweeter mango flavors. The yogurt also seems to be higher in quality -- thick and rich. There are also some unique toppings, like Crunch and strawberry mochi...mmmm. There's less space to lounge around in this location and the atmosphere is kind of lacking, otherwise I'd give it 4 stars.

This was my first trip in and I enjoyed it! Menu was kinda limited but there were tons of tasty toppings and 4 yogurt flavors to choose from.

The froyo craze sure has taken over - I'll be the founder of TCBY is somewhere crying about now. Yagoot is leading the charge in the Cincinnati area. Like most froyo places is somewhat rips off the Pinkberry design document - very new-agey with lots of bright colors and plastics. They do it in a way that looks quite expensive, though, particularly the floor. Unlike many places (and as I'm more used to), Yagoot is not self-serve. You pick size, flavor and number of toppings, Also, unlike many places you have a choice of 4 flavors. So it's a bit more traditional, if a bit more limiting. So how's the yogurt? Fantastic. I somewhat prefer Orange Leaf, if only because I prefer the creamy and sweet, but the quality of yogurt here is much better. It's true yogurt, with that true yogurt tang. My friends absolutely adore it for that tang. I've had each of the current flavors - the plain is quite good, the coconut is amazing, the strawberry is probably the best strawberry froyo I've had, and the peach tastes like peach but isn't very good to my tastebuds. The toppings are very high quality, too. Go for the alligator crunch. Yagoot is owned by Buskin (they should consider going with a wider franchisee model, then selling out! If you need anyone that does corporate franchise strategy, find me, haha!), and gets this topping right from the bakery. Other toppings are all high quality and the fruit is very fresh. Then there are the mixed items on the menu. One is a warm Buskin muffin with yogurt. Don't let the picture lie to you - the muffin is a bit small and you get an enormous amount of yogurt, not just enough to top the muffin. In fact, part of the muffin is buried in yogurt. But man, it's delicious. The Acai berry crunch mix is a bit too trendy, but get it with coconut yogurt, topped with banana and granola, and it's one of my favorite desserts in the area. The slushies made with soda are the only disappointment to me - the red cream soda was kind of gross (it's a bargain brand and just not a good mix.) I'd love to see Yagoot instead use Boylan's Creamy Red Birch - my guess is this would be mind-blowing. Yagoot is a winner. It's hard for an ice cream / froyo place not to be, but Yagoot is pretty much the top of the heap in the area. Beautifully designed stores with majorly fresh ingredients. I'd probably choose Orange Leaf over it 6 out of 10 times, but I do so feeling guilty - this is a higher quality place. They just need a red velvet flavor and Orange Leaf would be out of my head!

Yum! This was delicious! Yesterday I tried the italian cocoa with strawberry and coconut on top. It was SO GOOD. Its different then the other yogurt places, very tangy. The calories are nice and low too. A small serving is approx. 120 calories. Amazing. I can stay on my diet AND eat this yummy stuff? Prices are better than Orange Leaf for me, I like to get only one topping anyway. Can't wait to visit the Easton location in Columbus!

Yagoot is good. I'm not a fan of the plain flavor, but the fruity ones are great. If you haven't tried it yet, I would recommend getting "mochi" on/in your next Yagoot creation, whether it's a cup with toppings or a shake. Mochi is a soft rice cake thingy, and it compliments the flavor of Yagoot while adding a wonderful chewy texture. NOM. I would also strongly recommend picking up a pint of your favorite flavor the next time you stop in. That way, you can give in to your Yagoot cravings on a whim without having to make an excuse to make the trip. :)

How can I not have written a Yagoot review yet? Are you kidding me? OK, this place is The Awesome. If, like me, your sweet tooth is somewhat limited, or you prefer your sweets to be not too awful for you, then head to Yagoot. Now. That's an order! The yogurt here is not sweet; it's sort of tangy, rather than saccharine. As such, it provides the perfect base for the many fruit, nut, and sweet toppings. Generally, Yagoot keeps 2-3 flavors of Yagoot in stock: original, chocolate, and something seasonal (coffee, pumpkin, pistachio, banana). My favorite is the original, plain yogurt flavor. My favorite toppings are raspberries, blackberries, and a crunchy mix called "Alligator crunch". The small is plenty big enough, especially with all those toppings. But no matter what you like, Yagoot has it. In addition to excellent yogurt, Yagoot has a sweet gift card deal. If you buy a $25 gift card, you get a small carrying bag for lunches (or pints of Yagoot!), AND a super-soft Yagoo t-shirt. So, once you've been and fallen in love, buy gift cards for all your friends. You won't regret it.

Love Yagoot! My kids choose Yagoot over Graeters EVERY time. I LOVE the seasonal flavors - Coconut, White Peach, Strawberry. And I love the Crunch topping. My kids always get the Original flavor yogurt with mini chocolate chips. Bonus is that the yogurt is really low in calories and fat!! If you're not sure which flavor to try, they'll give you a little sample. Love that!! Only downside, is that its a little pricey. For three small orders with 1 topping each it was $12. No more than Graeters, but not something we could do every night of the week. We still love it!

Yagööt is an excellent alternative to your usual dairy treat. I find it to be more refreshing than ice cream, and to top it off, it's better for you! The original flavor (my favorite), has a tangy/tart taste to it because it is pure yogurt. However, this can be an acquired taste, so they do offer tasty seasonal flavors that take the edge off. My only complaint about Yagööt would be that it is somewhat pricey. But, to be honest, what ice cream/yogurt place isn't these days? So, if I am going to spend the money, I might as well go somewhere that offers a healthy and refreshing product! Helpful tip: Get your order "to go", as you will avoid an annoying dine in tax. Not sure if this only applies to this Rookwood Commons location, but it will save you some money.

Their frozen yogurt is really good. I took the vanilla flavor with chocaoate chips, raseberries, and other stuff I cant remember. it came to be like $5. I feel like thats a bit to much but whatever it was god for a hot weather..I will be back when i am shopping at the big mall area and when its a hot day!

I often prefer the slightly tart flavor and the light feel of frozen yogurt to the full sweet and heaviness of ice cream. When it comes to frozen yogurt, in my opinion, Yagoot has the Cincinnati market on lock-down. Simple, light and fresh. Plus, it's exciting to go with a group and compare the successfulness of your chosen combinations; a taste off if you will. You can conduct a blind vote and pitch in to award the winner a free return visit.

Yagoot is a fantastic place to get some of the best dessert in town. When thinking of going out for ice cream, you should not discount this place. Even though it is yogurt, it is probably the best alternative to going to Graeter's or Aglamesis. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of both of the other places (especially the latter), but I find Yagoot's yogurt offerings so much more refreshing and healthier for you. Add to that the fresh pieces of mango, kiwi, raspberries or a whole host of other fruits or candy pieces if you prefer that and it takes the yogurt over the top. I took my nieces here last week and they absolutely loved it. I have gone with my family, my girlfriend and my friends. I have never once heard anyone said they don't like what they have gotten here. It is relatively inexpensive and the young people working behind the counter are always friendly, helpful and prompt. Any long lines move very quickly. The only down side to Yagoot is that I can't eat it every day. Long story short, Try it!!! You won't be disappointed.

Still lovin' yagoot! I'm so addicted, I'm wondering if they changed their formula? It also appears that strawberry might be a semi-permanent addition to the menu! Thanks, Yagoot for listening to us little people!

In the sudden age of frozen yogurt shops springing up all around, I have to say Yagoot still stands above the rest in Cincinnati. I still remember when the trend was new and I tried Pinkberry in New York City for the first time a few years ago- going to Yagoot evokes the same excitement for me every time. The frozen yogurt is just high quality. You can tell by the texture- in Cincinnati, Yagoot sets the bar. None of that slightly icey, too-sweet texture of the self-serve yogurts for this gal. I don't care if you have 15 flavors when you can't match the quality. I love the tartness and I have loved every flavor I've tried. The current white peach is divine. I also love that the toppings always look fresh and full, and the strawberry mochi! My friend recently tried the smoothie, which was also dangerously tasty. This Rookwood location always looks clean, bright, fun, and funky. I basically can't go to Rookwood without talking myself into stopping by, and I'm okay with this.

For Cincinnati Yogurt this is as good as it gets. Get the parfait. It's the by far best deal. You can customize the flavors AND the toppings.

I am a yagoot junkie. I could eat it every day. I love that delicious tang and not to sweet flavor. On the same note, the new pistachio ( with granola) is my favorite flavor I've ever had (with a strawberry and plain swirl coming in second) If you have not tried this delicious yogurt get in your car and go there asap.

Yagoot is in my opinion the best of the fro yo stores. I think it is denser/creamier than Orange Leaf, and flavors come through loud and clear. The fruit toppings are usually fresh and hand cut. I went to a sampling of their freezer-only flavors Prickly Pear and Passion Fruit, and was really impressed at the flavor and texture - woudl definitely buy it.

Even thinking about what to say in this review is making me want to get some. Right now. Their description of "tingly-tart" is perfect. If you are not a fan of yogurt, this place probably isn't for you. It is the most on par frozen yogurt I think I have ever had. Regular (plain) yogurt is always available, and it seems like strawberry is now as well. There is always a third rotating flavor, which so far has included mango, coffee, pumpkin, and pomegranate. I tried the pomegranate last week- delicious! I can't say I've tried all the items on the menu, but I have had the saylor- regular yogurt with red cream soda. Yum! The shakes have been my new favorite obsession. My top-pick: strawberry with blueberries and protein powder. And as always, you can choose yogurt with multiple toppings that include all kinds of fruit, candy, and granola. Also, if you check out their website, you can sign up to be a "yagroopie". They sometimes will send out free coupons for a free small with one topping! Yum!

I stopped into Yagoot after having my first taste of the Five Guys down the way. The company is owned by Busken's, a local bakery, which I think is pretty cool. I ordered a plain (is it vanilla?) yogurt with oreo pieces mixed in. The yogurt has this incredibly fresh tasting yogurt tanginess and bitterness to it which you rarely find in american style yogurts these days. Just means that it's made really well and with good ingredients. Greek yogurt has a similar flavor. Next time I'll get fruit in the yogurt, as the sweet-tanginess really lends itself to fruit pairings over chocolate or decadent pairings. But it was still really good.

Yagoot vs Orange leaf = tart vs sweet respectively That's the main difference; however, even though you have "more options" at orange leaf, Yagoot is far superior. Why do you ask? First of all, I prefer tart so their options taste better and I like their options for topping better; that's point number 1. Okay now for the non biased breakdown. Yagoot is 120 calories give or take and 1g fat per 4oz vs 140 calories and 3.5g fat give or take for orange leaf. I think yagoot has a better selection of fresh delicious fruit vs orange leaf I feel like I'm eating ice cream - not necessarily a bad thing if that's what your craving - but if that's the case I'll go to UDF and save myself some time and money. I like kiwi, raspberry, blackberry, banana, strawberry, mango (can you get mango at orange leaf?), okay you get the point. Moving on, I like that yagoot rolls out new flavors seasonally - it makes me appreciate them more. For instance - I can't wait for the pumpkin flavor from yagoot; the anticipation is making me crazy!! Why do they tease me so? OK seriously it's just yogurt. Anyway, other great things about yagoot - friendly atmosphere - I've never had an unfriendly experience at any location, even at the mall, how are they always smiling and greeting me with such pep? It could be that they are owned by Busken so the same values are applied ;-) I'm sure there are other things that keep me addicted, but you get the picture! Enjoy

I cant believe I haven't written a review for this place yet. I'll be honest, I was someone who scoffed at the idea of frozen yogurt. Being a hardcore Ice Cream junkie I took my upturned nose to give this place a try.... and I am glad I did. The staff is very friendly to greet you, which is an improvement from when it first opened. The taste is a bit tangy and not for everyone, but in my opinion there is nothing better then one of their shakes with their original and strawberry mixed in with pineapple, mango and strawberry fruit. Its heaven. They have seasonal flavors as well such as pumpkin, mango and others. It is owned by the same company that owns Busken and you can see it in their ads and style. If you are like me and looking for a sweet treat that you wont feel guilty about after, get Yagoot.

From the seasonal flavors to the colorful spoons to the mod chairs, this is a fun and funky little frozen yogurt bar that you'll find yourself craving every time you're near Rookwood. Of caution, after trying Yagoot, you may woefully look down on normal yogurt, wishing only that it were frozen with tasty fresh toppings. I love the kiosk where you can place your order and avoid the line and I love that there is outdoor seating (and my dog loves liking my bowl clean). A great place for meeting up with friends, a first date, or a little indulgence.

I cannot begin to describe the love affair I have going with Yagoot. I can't get within 5 miles of one of their stores without stopping in for a plain or strawberry flavored yogurt with fresh strawberries, yogurt chips and granola! It's amazing...it fills me up without making me feel stuffed and its actually healthy!! The customer service in some of the stores leaves a little to be desired, but frankly anywhere that hires teenagers is going to have a little "eye rolling" or attitude...because no matter how much you train employees, they are still children and one of them is going to be having a crappy day and you may get that mirrored in your service...this is definitely NOT the regular and NOT the yagoot standards! I can tell you that for sure! But you can't control people! So just try it out! Its amazing!!

  • Joe B.

Decent selection but the yogurt is so sour it makes everything taste like citrus....even bannana....so this appeals to little kids and teens ...adults will likely head to orange leaf with double selection that you can taste cause its not citrus sour ...unless you get lemon or orange of course

Worth a trip to Rookwood! This stuff is seriously delicious. No, it's not ice cream. It's in a category all by itself. My only reason for 4 stars is that I think it is overpriced. I have never had a bad experience. Love the refreshing, tart fruity flavors. And the service is fantastic!

Yagoot is the best of the fro-yos in my book. It's different from all of the others. The yogurt is tangy and not overly sweet. They always have their traditional flavor, as well as 2 seasonal flavors. The topping options include actual fresh fruit. This is a great place to go if you're craving something sweet and you don't want to feel guilty about it after.

I was happy to hear that Yagoot had mochi bits, as kiwi and mochi were my go-to toppings at yogurtland or pinkberry. Yagoot's original yogurt is much milkier than pinkberry's or yogurtland's. It's also a little pricier, and there aren't as many toppings. But because it reminds me of california, I still like it. =)

I love Yagoot. Based on the other reviews, I can see that the only thumbs-down really given were based on the customer service received (to which i say: go to arby's on madison, right down the street. youll appreciate the service you get at yagoot after that. ive never had a problem personally with yagoot though..) and the taste. I love yagoot, as ive said before, but I always go with toppings that complement the tangy taste, like fruit. My fave is a small original w/ strawberry, blueberry, and pineapple (or kiwi). Cant go wrong there. Im not sure about chocolate...eh...you have to go into it knowing that it is NOT VANILLA. lol, I didnt know that at first though so Im glad I chose the fruit to begin with.. DELISH!!

I'm not a sweet person so I was surprised when I found myself craving Yagoot. The original flavor is tangy enough for me and the rotating (usually fruit) flavors seem to sweet enough for my sugar-loving friends. I also feel healthy by eating here because you can tell the fruit is freshly cut but you can make it more dessert like by putting baked good toppings on yours. I usually frequent the Rookwood location, which has the feel of a brightly lit 1950's soda shop and the giggly teenagers to match. You can sit outside if the weather is nice and there are often cushions on the low wall in front of the store.

Um... WOW! I'm actually considering dropping my Starbucks habit for Yagoot. MAN that stuff is good! 1st time had the plain with strawberries and almonds, 2nd just strawberries. The small is MORE than enough too... they're very generous. The first time we visited was a weekday afternoon, so the staff was really warm and helpful. On the second visit, the woman in front of me was raving up a storm about the fact that the "Free Samples" advertised on their signs around Rookwood were, in fact, samples... and not the cup of fruitfully adorned yogurt on the sign. ("False advertising!") Moron. I was speechless. Anyhow, I can't wait to go back and try the coffee yogurt. I had a sample on my last visit and it was as fantastic as I expected. I also noticed that you can buy pints of their yogurt for home consumption. Yum, yum. I am so thankful we've finally got something other than hard pack ice cream in Cincinnati. It's about time!

I am a yogurt fan. I love the stuff, frozen or not, with toppings or not, and in every flavor known to man (with the exception of banana, gag). So, when I noticed Yagoot's "now open" sign at Rookwood the other day, I ran right in...despite having enjoyed Greater's BRC only an hour before. Staff didn't greet me at all (and the store was empty, I expect at least a "hi!") and I had to move directly in front of the cashier's station to ask for the flavors of yogurt Yagoot offers. The jaded teenager rolled her eyes when I asked and replied "Plain and Coffee." "Plain, as in vanilla?" I asked. She shrugged. Fine, then. I ordered a small plain with chocolate chips on top. To be fair, maybe it was because I was expecting the creamy taste of vanilla...but the overly sour and citrus flavored yogurt that I put in my mouth tasted terrible. I took another bite; hoping it was just something my taste buds had to adjust to. Nope, still no good. I managed to force down the top 1/16th of my cup, but only because it was covered in chocolate. I threw it away, $3 down the drain. I'll go back to Yagoot to try the coffee flavor and maybe even to pick up one of the store's bakery treats (muffins looked yummy) but I will not be indulging in the "Plain" variety again. If you do choose to sample it, I'd definitely recommend getting one of the fresh fruit toppings instead of chocolate or sprinkles...I'm sure kiwi or strawberry would meld better with the citrus in the yogurt. On a side note: had no idea Yagoot was owned by Busken. Apparently before the store at Rookwood opened there was a side counter for ordering at the Hyde Park bakery. I never noticed!

Yagoot...okay - I'll admit it. I have no idea what your regular flavors taste like because your seasonal flavors are always too amazing...pumpkin and pomegranate trump regular and strawberry in my book any day. The shop is bright and cheery and the staff is usually helpful. I also appreciate that Yagoot offering my favorite topping, mochi. Mochi is a gummy rice cake - but tastes better than it sounds and is totally under-appreciated by my fellow customers if watching other people order is any indication.

  • Stephanie R.

I find the taste to be rather sour. I've tried the original flavor, pumpkin, strawberry, and italian cocoa. I keep trying different flavors thinking that I might find a flavor that isn't sour. That hasn't happened. I just end up adding more toppings to cover up the sour flavor and then throw away the rest of the cup when the toppings run out. I've just concluded that this place isn't for me. I like the idea of it and tons of people like it, I just don't care for the taste. I'll stick with ice cream or other frozen yogurt.

  • Ryan L.

Yagoot was not good! I've had many varieties of frozen yogurt before, and Yagoot was subpar. We tried two of the three flavors from their limited menu, mango and coffee. Both were overwhelmingly sour without much other good flavor. I threw mine out with a third left in the bowl. This place is not for everyone.

Since moving from Georgia to Cincinnati i've had nothing but mixed feelings about every aspect of this place. But it was really refreshing to find a place that housed my absolute favorite things to eat; fresh fruit and yogurt. The customer service leaves something to be desired, but that has been my experience everywhere in Cincinnati. The yogurt had just the right consistency and taste and the fruit was fresh and sweet. Before i give up on this cold hearted city and move to Chicago I'll definitely be back to Yagoot!

lauren and i met up at yagoot last week so i could buy tickets for the roller derby. of course, we also had to eat yogurt. lauren loves yagoot but i had never had it before. i'm not a big frozen yogurt person, but yagoot is delicious. it is not really sweet... it is a sour yogurt that is apparently very similar to pinkberry if you have ever had that. you can get fruit or a variety of crunchy toppings (chocolate chips, granola, fruity pebbles, etc.) on top. the yogurt itself comes in plain, coffee, or strawberry. yagoot is apparently not a chain, although it seems like it should be based on its sleek logo design and modern interior. the busken bakery people came up with yagoot and served it in busken stores years ago, then stopped for some reason. yagoot is awesome and you should check it out even if you are not normally into frozen yogurt. currently the only yagoot store is located in rookwood, but it is open until 11 pm every day which is convenient. as for the roller derby, it is also awesome and you should definitely go to their next bout on may 9 at cincinnati gardens.
