Had breakfast here.... Very bland...not impressed for the money and I doubt I'll ever go back. Girlfriend liked what she got however my pancakes would have been better at McDonald's

We meet for lunch at Lucy's at least once a week. Favorite among the group is the double decker turkey and bacon with fries, the sandwich has a pile of crispy bacon. Excellent!

Pretty good cheap breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are pretty good - not as good as Bluebird in Norwood. The omelet was really good. Decor is horrid - I always think WWGS (What Would Gordon Say) - its like they went to a garage sale and just bought everything and then put it all up on the walls...but the service is good and the food is good - so I'm sure we'll be back.

Good greasy spoon breakfast, but still leaves a little bit to be desired. The toast has always been more "chewy" than toasty, and the OJ is definitely from concentrate, which I don't like. The omelets are pretty good though.

The best BLT sandwich! It's loaded with crispy bacon, the whole thing is probably not the healthiest but it is mouthwatering.

Awe Lucy's Deli. On our latest adventure to find the best greasy spoon, we found ourselves in Evendale and saw this place from the road, turned our car around and headed in! Upon entering you immediately feel like you are in a Garden Ridge Showroom. Their are fake plants everywhere. There are actually lights in some of the plants and framed motivational posters line the walls as you eat. I'm guessing to say something like, "Hey man - you CAN finish that omelette. Just go for it!" Overall the atmosphere is a little cluttered and kind of off putting. For breakfast I ordered up eggs over medium, an english muffin, fried potatoes, and a side of bacon. Only one of my eggs was cooked over medium the other was super runny and white inside, gross. The fried potatoes were underdone for my taste. And the bacon tasted flabby, old and not very fresh. The pancake we ordered was great, and the western omelette was above average as well. Tasted very fresh and not greasy. Is it weird to say I actually prefer it greasy? I love when they griddle the veggies to perfection and pile it high with cheese. Just my personal opinion. The good news is, we didn't need a nap afterward. Overall the food was standard, and filled our bellies. The highlight was meeting Lucy herself and she told us to come back and try the Rueben and the soups. Until then, 3 - stars.

We love this place. Fast friendly service with reasonable prices on everything. And it's great to support a family run business instead of chain.

There is no such ting as an objective viewpoint. We all enter into every situation with bias based upon our upbringing, education, and past experiences. With this being said I so very much wanted to rate Lucy's 5 starts. It's independent and it competes with a McDonald's across the street. I was expecting to be blown away by the down-hominess of the place. Alas, however, because this place is immensely average. I ordered Goetta & Eggs with a small side of Biscuits & Gravy w/ coffee. The coffee was perfect; strong but not bitter. Plus the eggs were cooked exactly over-medium (which is rare. Most places opt to be on the over-easy side). However it's clear that their gravy comes from a can...a real disappointment. Plus, as another reviewer noted, their goetta is underdone. The service was adequate after my food arrived, but before that was a little sporadic. Like I said, I really wanted to rate this place a 5 and tell you to go support the little guy. I'm not saying you shouldn't go there, but it won't get the perfect breakfast that you might expect from a mom-and-pop operation.

Lucy's is a diner through and through. The breakfast we ate was cheap and satisfactory for the price, but not somewhere I need to rush back to. Mainly we arrived at Lucy's because: 1) Our cat is named Lucy 2) We have always joked about going 3) The Waffle House was closed and we were hungry. The goetta wasn't firm, but the egg sunny-side up was cooked perfectly. The waitress recommended the french toast. Nice and thick, properly cooked, but not the best ever.

My family stooped here for dinner after a basketball game. Our expectations were exceeded! The food was great - vegetable soup was the best I have had anywhere. Service was prompt and very friendly and Lucy herself checked to make sure we were satisfied. The decor was quaint, but being Feb 1st, it was time to take down the Christmas decorations :) We will definitely recommend this to friends!

We love Lucy's! We meet our friends there every Sunday for breakfast. Great little neighborhood restaurant. It's a deli style place not an upscale diner. Laureen and Tuesday are great waitresses. And don't forget to say hi to Lucy's adorable son Art who works the desk.

I stopped in for a quick lunch. The service and ambience is exactly what you would expect from a deli in Reading, OH, very down to earth and friendly. I however, found the food to relatively poor compared to other local greasy spoon sort of deli. I had a simple ham&cheese sandwich, but found the quality of the ingredients less than top-notch. The waffle fries were quite good but also quite standard. I would not recommend this restaurant in the sense that a restaurant in the end is about the food.
