Before I moved to Cincinnati a few years ago, I saw Graeter's featured on an episode of "Modern Marvels." Very cool to learn about the French Pot method for making ice cream. I have been to a few different locations and bought their ice cream from local grocery stores. This is the most convenient location for me. I also went to a location near Mason once and they had a band playing on a Friday or Saturday night. That was nice. I also have shopped online. I bought a gift certificate for my bestie to have ice cream delivered, as she, sadly, does not live near a Graeter's. I had a positive experience using the website and with some follow up with customer service about the order. Their ice cream is great! The chocolate-dipped waffle cones are especially awesome. Such a cute shop too. I had no idea that they sold so many products/treats besides ice cream. Lots of fun gift ideas for around the holidays. Is the ice cream on the pricey side? Yes. Should you visit regularly? Probably not unless you have an amazing metabolism or something (you, oh, lucky person, are hated by the masses). ;) I don't mind the price for the occasional indulgence.

Had the Cookie Monster sundae... Graters didn't disappoint! Was told by friends it is a must go to, they were right!

This was our first trip to Cincinnati, and we had a checklist of Cincy institutions that we needed to check out. As anyone can attest, this is an obvious stop. Honestly, a bit disappointing. I'll break it down: Ice cream: Tasty, sure, but nothing overly special. Pretty standard set of flavors that I'm used to seeing, with a couple of exception (toffee chip was great). Decent texture, good flavor, but nothing to write home about. Service: Subpar, really. They're obviously busy, but this was the only place in Cincinnati where the staff weren't really all that friendly. We got lucky with the particular girl that helped us, but everyone just seemed very rushed and panicked. Cleanliness: Not great. The hustle means that a lot of stuff is just tossed around. The bathrooms were in desperate need of attention, and the whole place just felt like it needed a good cleaning. If I lived there, it'd be nice to know I could get a good scoop of ice cream, but it's a bit expensive, and easily the least awesome of all the places we made sure to go.

Great donuts and ice cream flavors. Staff is friendly and accommodating to special orders. If you are wanting donuts, get there early as they tend to sell out. Call ahead and they will hold things for you until you get there. Im not an ice cream eater, so I go for the donuts and pastries. Even later in the day, the bakery items are fresh and inviting. The chocolate glazed yeast donuts and the cheese crows are my favorites.

Graeter's is what you want in an ice cream shop. The interior smells of sugar and spice and is crisp like you associate with ice cream. The floors are white tile and you have brass fittings everywhere to remind you of an old-timey soda-fountain. I also like that the kid that scooped the ice cream took obvious pride in the product, saying "Graeters is the best Ice Cream in Cincinnati... Maybe the State... Maybe the Country." I don't know about the best Ice Cream in the country, and I haven't tried everywhere in the state... but it is darn good ice cream. And gelato -- which they have as well (which is basically ice cream but using milk instead of cream to reduce the milkfat texture). We had the chocolate mint gelato and the black cherry chip ice cream. One nice customer service note: my wife asked if we could get a single scoop but half of each flavor in that scoop. This was obviously not something that was a standard Graeter's offering and may be the first time he was ever asked. Instead of just doing what would have been easy and say no, he said "I'll certainly try!" and proceeded to do so. So, it's safe to say I'm a fan of Graeters Ice Cream.

I have been to this location a few times. I have found that their scoops are generally larger than some of the other locations I have been to. The ice cream is always good. They are generally nice about letting customers try different flavors. Cup are near the drinking fountain so patrons may easily get water. The store is always neat and tidy. There is a lot in both the front and back for parking. Now for the bad. I was sooo... excited to get a brownie sundae. I watched as the sundae was constructed. The house made brownie was taken out of a plastic container and put in the bowl first. The other were added. I took my sundae to the table and dug in. I was beyond disappointed when my spoon cut into the brownie. Hard and dry is the only way to describe it. I was crestfallen. Hoping this is not a regular occurance, I am keeping this review at 4 stars.

Delicious and tastes freshly homemade. We are originally from NYC and told we had to visit. Definitely worth it! We have gone to this location twice. Once during the week on a rainy evening and before noon on a hot Sunday. Both times there were no lines, and we were greeted with friendly service. My husband and I tried samples, but I still order the Buckeye Blitz each time. It is rich and creamy but not super sweet. The quality of ingredients is definitely high. No hard, tiny, cheap chocolate chips in these! They taste like gourmet chocolate. Hubby said the Cookies and Cream was the best he ever had. We also ordered a glazed donut that was fresh even the next day. I like that there are other bakery options. Took a couple cookies to go too. Opt for the kiddie scoop if you don't want too much. We've found its just the right amount and not as pricey.

Wonderful Ice Cream! My favorite was the Raspberry Ice Cream with the Chocolate Chunks. I miss this ice cream so much and can't wait to see my family just to get some more! *is that bad?*

My favorite ice cream in the Cincinnati area. I tend to get the same black cherry with chocolate chunks. It's creamy and dreamy and probably loaded with calories.

I love this location! The guys working the counter when we went in we're really friendly, especially considering it was like 7am. Our pastries were fresh and delicious, and the coffee was strong and piping hot. The store was spotless, and the merch displays were adorable. Keep it up, guys!

I have been to many ice cream shops, and I have tasted many different ice creams. By far, Graeter's Ice Cream is the best I've ever encountered. Each flavor is unique. If you are ever near a Graeter's, be sure to stop by!

Of course all Graeter's are great, this store is usually very busy at night. This is also the closest option for ice cream for those of us that live in Glendale, and the Tri County area. There is plenty of parking in the back in addition to the ten or so spots in the front. Employees here are very friendly and helpful and the store is always very clean.

The service from the manager of this location is top notch! He will make sure to provide the proper amount of dry ice for a long trip to make sure the ice cream stays frozen. Coolers are also available if you do not have your own to use. We couldn't have asked for better service and will definitely be back if we are in the neighborhood again.

One of Cincy's gems, I don't go visit often but when I do - I leave pretty happy. Recently, we stopped in and decided to try our first Sundae. I went with 1870 Tower which is a bundt cake with a scoop of ice cream and then your typical Sundae toppings of whipped cream, hot fudge and of course a cherry on top. I decided to go with a scoop of Blueberry pie ice cream and it was the perfect complement to the cake. The service was what you would expect....two teenagers who were nice if not overly attentive. The place was clean and the parking lot seemed to be large enough to handle a busy summer day (there were only a couple other customers when we were visiting on a rainy evening.)

I know all Grater's Ice Creams are great. I don't have to say it again. And I know there is no need for review. But today I want to say about something different - the service, especially for this location. One day I had to drive about 1 and half our for one of friends of mine's birthday, and I decided to bring an ice cream cake from Grater's. This location is the closest from my work, so I ran into here. I told them about my situation and it was Friday evening so the drive could be longer. They told me I had to buy dry ices which I was expecting and happy to pay. But something I didn't take consideration was that I needed a box, or bag whatever to store the ice cream cake. Of course I didn't have one because I was just off from work and the decision was imprompt. So I could end up buying a bag from there, too - an extra $5. However, the manager kindly brought out a box they did not use, and wrapped the ice cream with somewhat fancy papers and put them in the box - for free. He wrapped the box so perfectly that I did not have to worry about how to hold the ice cream cake in the car while driving. He also gave me a happy birthday decor for the cake. He smiled all the time and took care of the ice cream cake as if he was going to drive with it for 2 hours. I had to tip him because I appreciated his idea, attitude, and professionalism. This incident made this location my favorite Graeter's. I hope they keep up the work!

This is my personal favorite Graeter's location. The ice cream is universally fabulous at all of the Graeter's stores, but this one was just perfectly located along the Princeton cross-country team's regular route. There is nothing at all like running a few miles and rewarding yourself with ice cream. Old habits die hard - I STILL run to the ice cream store, only it's in Chicago and isn't nearly as good as Graeter's. Maybe I'll see if Oprah is still mail-ordering pints and ask her to add a few for me.

This was my first Graeter's experience, and I came here on a work trip at the suggestion of a co-worker. It was even better than I expected, and the service was great. When I told the person working that it was my first time in, she gave me a sample of the bestseller (black raspberry chip?) before I could even ask for one. I ended up going with the blueberry pie ice cream, which was too good for words.
