My fiancé are not from the area but we stopped by this establishment on our way out of town after a training conference. We come from a big city that has a grand selection of great burger and beer joints. This place is hands down the best we have ever experienced. I had the French Connection and it was divine - full of flavor, all of the textures from the bun to the onion straws and the sauce in between was phenomenal. The burger was also cooked exactly how I like it and they gave you a perfect amount of fresh and crispy fries on the side that were lightly dusted with spices. My fiancé got the whiskey burger and he loved it was well. He thought that the Jack Daniels sauce was just the right amount of flavor, which did not over power the flavor of the cheese and bacon. He agreed that the bun was perfect too, light and crispy and nothing was too greasy. We also sampled a couple of local micro brews, which were outstanding as well. Our server Jon A. was extremely personable, attentive and friendly. He recommended the types of beers that we ordered, after asking what our tastes were. We could not have been more pleased with our experience and highly recommend that if you're near a Flipdaddys, that you stop in. We wish we had one in our town! If you visit the one we were at, ask for the bearded Jon A. with the ponytail - we both agreed that his fun and genuine personality really made our dining experience perfect!

I have never walked out of a bar or restaurant due to poor service in my life. Tonight, I joined a group of friends at the bar for happy hour. The bar area was maybe 85% full. There was a female bartender working and a male bartender. I sat down at the bar and waited 5 minutes, then 10...still no greeting, no acknowledgement of my presence, nothing. A gentleman walked in at this time, sat down about four seats down and was served immediately. A few minutes later one of the male bartenders was making a drink right in front me behind the bar. I said "excuse me, can I get a drink when you get a second?" He never looked up from what he was doing and muttered, "sure". He never came back. The female bartender walked past me for about the 4th time and over to a few guys in the corner of the bar and offered them refills. A couple of minutes later (20 minutes in) as she was walking by me again she said "be with you in a few...", making no eye contact. At this point, I walked out of the establishment and took my business to Rusty Bucket up the street where I always have good service. My party cashed out and joined me. I have never felt more disrespected in a restaurant or bar in my life and I eat and drink out constantly. I will never step foot in Flipdaddys again. I'm not one to play race so I won't do it here but I sure felt discriminated against...perhaps it was the suit I was wearing...I must have looked like a poor tipper....

I'm not going to say anything was wrong or bad. Went at 4:30 on a Saturday. Service was fine but not excellent. Burger was good but not amazing. We had a MacDaddy. Atmosphere seems more geared toward beer drinking, which is great, but not really what we had came for this visit as we were in a burger\dinner mood. For the prices I really just rate as "alright".

Whole experience was okay. Burgers are decent, but everything is so greasy that it all just falls apart. The onion rings are watery which was weird, and it made them hard to eat.

I love this place and have been many times. Today was no exception good food and service. The beer sampler and rotating drafts are nice and the staff is knowledgeable about each one. I had a gnarly brown and a rise and shine burger both were great. The place is a little pricey for a burger joint as it's very easy to spend 50 bucks but I guess you get what you pay for. I recommend them for a guaranteed good lunch or dinner as this was probably my 10th visit and never had a bad experience. If I had any criticism it's that the regular fries don't compare to the rest of the great food but still pretty good. I Will continue to frequent flip daddy's and recommend them

The beer selection was great. The food was OK. Service was awful. Our waitress Alix was friendly WHEN she was around. She was extremely unsociable and brought us our check before we were even finished. I was here visiting family trying to relax have some drinks and socialize but I felt rushed and like I was a bother. Every time I was waiting for service I would look to the bar and see Alix socializing with friends. I would definitely recommend this place for a beer or two and an app if you are not expecting any sort of acceptable service.

This is my first review... please go easy on me. Having gone to Flipdaddy's on 50 in Mariemont since it opened, I understand why and how a place like this exists in Mason. You could throw a stone on Fields Ertel Road and hit at least three chain restaurants (if you have a rocket cannon of an arm). I myself have made a personal vow never to go to an Applebee's again. We need more places like this; Independent, funky little burger shops that provide a great beer selection and an inventive display of hearty portions of protein between buns. Flipdaddy's does their best to accomplish this. They have a great selection of craft beers. On Wednesdays they have a trivia night and great specials on Bell's Beers. They boast a rotating tap and a beer on nitro tap. Awesome. The food is good but leaves something to be desired. I ordered the rise & shine burger, with a fried egg and bacon. Good but not great. My girlfriend ordered the spring fling burger that came with cucumbers, guacamole and ranch. She said it tasted fresh and clean, and was the clear winner of the burgers ordered. My friend ordered the "famous" mac daddy burger, topped with grilled mac and cheese. He said that the flavor mix was odd and slightly off putting, considering it was two of his favorite foods combined. All of these burgers came with a side of fries and ranged in price from $9.99 to $10.99. I added on a cup of French onion soup which tasted good. Soup is my favorite thing. Ask anyone that knows me. I love soup. A soup has to be very bad for me not to enjoy it on some level. This soup was... good. My friend added the soup de jour (the soup of the day) a white chicken chili. I never understood why they would put chili as the soup of the day. Chili is not soup, but I digress. He said it was very good but not as good as mom makes. Prices were on par with any chain restaurant in the area. I have deliberately left off the service because this portion of any review is extremely subjective, more subjective than even taste. The service was good, adequate, fine. The waitress took my food and drink order, she brought the food to me, I paid the bill. No I didn't make a friend for life, nor did I make an enemy. I realize upon writing this and then reading back over it that I have completely invalidated my first sentence but, eh, I've gone too far to turn back now. In summation: Yes, they have a lot of good beer on draft. Yes, they have lots of variety in the burgers they serve. No, the burgers aren't going to come close to your favorite burger joint. Yes, it is worth giving a try if you are choosing between this and an OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE (David C. are you serious? You are Yelp elite?) Burger. Support your local businesses. First review accomplished.

Flipdaddy's makes the best burgers I've found. Normally I won't pay more than fast food prices for a burger unless it's excellent. Flipdaddy's falls into that category. Today I tried the September burger of the month: the Back to School Burger. Topped with Irish cheddar, bacon, onion straws, peanut butter and red pepper jelly. Yes, peanut butter. I was skeptical, but it was quite tasty. And of course, I had the grilled mac and cheese. There's no other side worth having. Cheese grilled until solid with creamy mac and cheese in the middle. So yummy. Don't skip it.

Okay, so it's been a while since I actually ate at this place; I've just been putting off writing my review. I am definitely not a fan. The BF and I took my parents out to dinner here late on Father's Day. It wasn't too busy, so we were seated right away. The inside certainly no longer resembles a Bob Evans. It has a roomy bar and the decor is bright and fresh. There's also a mice patio area outside. I can't remember what kind of burger my dad got, but my mom and the BF both got the All American. I got a mushroom burger (mushrooms, no meat.) We all got regular fries, except for my mom, who got sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were served with a cloyingly sweet cinnamon sauce that would have been better served on top of some cinnamon rolls. The All American burgers were reported to be pretty basic and nothing special. My mushroom burger had the mushrooms sauteed in a garlic butter and it was way too greasy and strong. The fries were extra crisp, but not in a good way...none of us were impressed by their flavor. On top of that, we all ended up with upset feeling tummies after eating at Flipdaddy's; so, needless to say (though I'll say it anyway) we won't be back.

So this was the very first time we went we went to this restaurant. We were really looking forward to the burgers and brew advertised on the sign. We went in and were seated immediately. We got this really extensive beer menu and excitedly perused it. There were well over 30 draft beers listed. We found a beer we were excited to try and ordered - or tried to order. The server immediately informed us that the beer selection was extremely limited because HALF the taps weren't working. Most of our choices weren't available so we were super disappointed. A place that advertises beer as its specialty shouldn't have a problem like this. After 3 tries I finally just ordered the "Flipdaddy favorite" beer, but didn't like it. The burgers were good and served in a timely manner. Meat was tender and tasty. You can get almost any kind of burger you want. Service was adequate and Manager was present and checking on things. Fries were tasty with nice seasonings. Decor was as expected with a casual feel, lots of booths and a TV in each corner. I am giving this place 3 stars but it was almost a 2 because of the beer situation.

Overall good food. The downfall being the price and serving size not being equal. Taste was very good but the portions don't match cost. Great beer selection and awesome local taps, nothing too surprising on cost here. May eat here again if cost comes down.

Flipdaddy's is fast becoming my favorite bar, in fact it may already be my favorite. They have 63 taps and most of those are rotating- meaning every time you go into Flipdaddy's there are different beers to try. Some tips- * Sit at the bar-(If you came for the amazing beer selection) If you can find seats at the bar thats the way to go, even if you have to wait for a few extra chairs to open up. We have gone with up to 7 people and we are able to grab a corner of the bar and drink eat and talk. The bartenders are really nice and will let you try the beer before you get it, my cousin pretty much tried every tap the last time we went and fell in love with a few beers. * Happy Hour- 2-6 M-F if you join the mug club ($25 mug filled when you buy it) you get Happy Hour all Monday. This mug they'll store above he bar and have handy for you whenever you come in. Also with the mug you can get the higher percentage beers that usually come in the smaller snifters in your full sized mug instead. (sounds great right!!) *Burger of the Month- I like to ask what the burger of the month is because usually it's a good one. They have some great ones on the menu like the Chuck Norris and Rise and Shine but it's nice to switch it up and have a special limited time burger. * Grilled Mac and Cheese- or Grilled Mac as we call it. Get it, You'll love it. That is all. I'll admit I really come to Flipdaddy's for the beer, the burgers are pretty good 7/10 but they have Amazing beer, the best mac and cheese I have ever had, really good fried pickle spears and it's a fantastic place to go with friends. You can also follow their facebook for giveaways, like free glass promos, and free shot promos. As well as Trivia Wednesdays, Tap takeovers, live entertainment and more. They keep it lively and keep the beer flowing.

I had the BEST burger ever here! I made it myself with 3 different kinds of cheese, Havarti, Irish Cheddar, and Boursin. With pesto mayo, and lettuce. As if I didnt have enough cheese, I added a side of their fried macaroni n cheese for a quadruple cheese explosion! LOL the waiter said that he had never had someone order so much cheese! The burger was so juicy and awesome full of flavor. The fried mac n cheese, sad to say was not that great. It was like a fried cheese slab, and it was dry. but other than that the atmosphere was nice. It was sporty and they had a nice berry cider on tap.

Great burgers and drinks. Service was a little slow but not bad for a Saturday night.

Was excited to try this place because I was craving a new burger. First off, the decor is very blah. Makes for an unexciting atmosphere. The burger was decently small, a little bigger than a kids size. Rather expensive too. $8.99 then each additional item is a dollar extra even cheese. I know the hype is their craft beers which was a large variety. I wonder how they make money to change the barrel on all their drafts with such drab food. Nothing to make me want to come back.

Really don't know why all the good reviews here. Maybe it is for the beer which I can agree with. But as far as the food nothing to write home about at all. You can get a better burger at Five Guys. We tried the basic burger...a traditionalist...and it was thin like a fried fast food patty. We expected more of a homemade feel and look to it. The bun was soggy and if you put it down good luck picking it up again. Fries were ok..we tried the regular and sweet potato as well. Service was fine. Can't blame a server for just ok food.

I drive by Flipdaddy's every day on my way in to work. Until today I'd decided to give it a pass, but a conversation at lunch with friends last week made me think differently, and a review of their menu online confirmed my decision. When I arrived they sat me at an overly large both near the bar, but I was fine with this because they had it facing the one TV they had with the MLB Network on (Go Reds!!!) Everyone raves about the beer selection, but since it was a lunch bisecting two periods of in-office work, I decided to go with a coke instead. There were a number of tempting choices on the menu, but the one which caught my eye was the Paesano Burger. A nice, but thin, patty of beef topped with aioli, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto with a bit of basil make this burger one of the best I had had in a long loong time. The fries are served seasoned, and while tasty weren't what I was looking for from my fries. I am excited to go back for another visit "after hours" to try some beers and another burger or maybe a wrap. You should stop in as well.

Stopped for lunch while traveling. Pretzel, chip and cheese appetizer was ok. Pretzels great, cheese dip just average. However, the burgers were outstanding. My husband opted for the special, beach burger with mango and jicama salsa. I opted for the burger with fresh mozzarella, basil, prosciutto and garlic aioli. Both were absolutely amazing. Even the fries were great which could easily be an afterthought with all the focus on the burgers. Overall well worth the trip!

Gave this place 4 different occasions to serve up a good burger. Zero for 4. You guys talk a good game with your description of your "brisket, short rib, and ground chuck blend", so I have one question: why do your burgers, every single time, taste like nothingness, are quite rubbery, and are tough and chewy to boot? Do you add boot? To your "fresh, never frozen" burger meat? Oh yeah, btw you'll get a 5 ounce burger served up, so don't come in hungry for protein folks. Just drink the good beers, Steak n Shake is just around the corner. I'm on to your deal, but honestly when you put the word Burger in your actual name and masthead, shouldn't you take an overarching pride in what you're feeding your clients? We ate here again very recently, and that was the absolute last time. Had the French burger with Boursin and onion straws. Aptly named: barely approachable. Thank goodness you have a very good to excellent craft beer selection. Weak effort Mr. Flipdad. Stack your ten dollar burger up against an Outback ten dollar burger. No contest whatsoever. Please do better. Until then, my Weber grill and Outback and a few other solid burger joints will have our business.

Update as of 10/25/13- third visit here where I have asked for a medium burger and it came out well done. Actually, all 5 of us ordered medium, and all 5 of us got gray well done burgers. I got the black and tan today which had absolutely no flavor. Dropping another star- it's a shame because this place used to be so good. Flipdaddy's has changed something with their burgers... not sure if they are using a different grade of meat or what, but I have been two more times and the burgers are just not as good. Go back to doing whatever it was you were doing this time last year! We will keep coming for the beer but we skip the burgers these days...

4 for the beer selection, 3 for the food selection. Coming from Seattle I wasn't expecting to find a place with a good beer selection. Boy was I wrong. This place had like 20 taps of really really good beer. Lots of beers from Colorado, some from California, beers at 4.4% to over 11%, imperials and nitro on tap. Great selection and they're only $3.50 during happy hour! The food selection was almost entirely burgers. The burger choices were good and interesting but there wasn't much else to choose from beyond that.

So I came here on a half date with my girlfriend and her group of teenage girlfriends(insert shiver) I've wanted to try this place for awhile since my gf always talked it up. Great Burger. I had a paesano with smoked gouda instead of the mozz. There were only two flavors really present in the burger, the cheese though lightly and the prosciutto. I'm not complaining or anything it tasted really great but burgers are a mix of things. I want that smokey beef flavor, the crisp and delicious flavors of the bun (it was kinda a weird bun, looks mass produced.) Also I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well... but 2 of the girls with us ordered theirs medium well so maybe that was why... still :\ The fries were great; nice and crisp on the outside and softish on the inside with a bit of a cilantro garnish. Exactly how fries should be. The service was passable for the type of establishment it was, sports bar. They have several tv's with every different kind of professional and a few college sports. The only thing I had a problem with was that my rum and coke came out completely flat. It was a decently strong drink though so that might have been why. Anyway pretty swanky place. Food is above your general bar/pub food in terms of taste and quality. And their taps are extensive, changed weekly or so and decently price. Not really a place to get drunk imo but you can always go in for a few longnecks, some good food, and deep conversations about your favorite teams and tactics.

A little pricey, but wow what a craft beer selection. The beer menu even educates you on the various types. Burgers are great and the sweet potato fries are awesome. Drop the prices and you get five stars!

Has really gone downhill. Service takes forever. Used to be our go to place and the place we brought out of town guests. Now it takes so long we end up going to the bar and getting our own beers. We finish them and get a second round before the server ever appears. Go elsewhere.

Maybe it was a bad day for the cooks, but you can't deny the bugers are patties. You can get the same quality "burger" @ rock bottom. It lacks flavor so they pile high the fixings. The Chuck Norris burger was overflowing with sauce and peppers for a moment I thought the burger was actually good. This day the kitchen was also out of utensils. My entire meal was eaten with out a knife or fork. Soda machine also apparently broke down. Maybe my visit they also ran out of beef and their burger patties aren't mass produced. If so, aomeone let me know. If not the highlights are the fries and what seems to be a pretty extensive beer selection.

  • David ..

In a world with so many burgers, Flip Daddy's truly stands out ahead of the crowd. With 3 premium meats in their burgers and so many specialties, it's beyond excellent taste. And the beer selection and staff are fantastic.

They have done a good job revamping this old Bob Evans. A very nice beer selection and decent menu. I ordered my burger med and it came out well. Still a descent burger. Right in the middle of lunch the music started blaring. Not a good lunch atmosphere, but ok for a disco. There are better places to get a burger.

This is a great non-chain option in an area that seems to be nothing but chains. The main draw for me is their beer selection. There is always a good variety of options, including seasonal brews, from craft breweries. The servers are knowledgeable about their products and will offer great suggestions. You can order a beer sampler but I have never done this option. I'm willing to commit to an entire pint! Hey, if I don't like it I'm sure my husband won't turn down a beer. I often order the Brooklyn Lager Beer Cheese as my meal, which happens to be an appetizer. It is large enough for me to leave very full. I have also had their boneless wings, which were delicious. The restaurant is clean and attracts a variety of people, from singles to families. It is popular so don't be surprised if there is a short wait for dinner. My favorite thing about Flipdaddy's are all the puns on their menu. I'll give you a few examples. A veggie option called Bean Me Up Scotty, a chicken sandwich named Poultry in Motion, and a salad called Fry Me to the Moon. I love it! Come giggle at the menu, sip on a craft beer, and eat some delicious (and comically named) food!

Passing through town on business and I noticed this place on Yelp. So I thought why not give it a shot. I travel a lot and get really tired of all the national chain fare out there these days. I mean how many ways can you revamp a club sandwich anyway. So I came in to check it out. I was seated right away(because it was early I'm sure) and went to work on the menus. The beer menu was almost as extensive as the one for the food. I decided on a Revolution Brewery creation "a little bit crazy" turned out to be an excellent choice. For the food selection I went with the Chuck Norris burger. It was spicy but not overpowering and cooked almost perfectly. Maybe a bit to much sauce but I scraped some of it off and made some amped up ketchup( I mean why waste an opportunity) it was great with the spiced fries. Overall a satisfying although not quite epic dining experience.

Come for the food and stay for the beer. This is one of my favorite restaurant s in the area. The burgers here are top notch and beers are just as good. While to burgers keep me coming back, the rotating taps keep me hanging around. If you are a fan of a great burger and craft beers, make this one of you must visits.

Flipdaddy's combines two of my favorite things; Quality beer, and themed hamburgers. It's somewhat rare to find this sort of beer selection out in the suburbs. Dogfishhead, Rivertown, Founder's. They've got the good stuff here. The burgers are also pretty good, and there are a variety of choices. The only real complaint I've had about this place so far is that there was too much Chuck Norris sauce on my Chuck Norris burger. The staff seems to be attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is clean and modernish. Prices aren't too bad. That's pretty much it. Good beers, themed burgers. I plan on trying every single burger on the menu at some point. The ones I've had thus far have been delicious.

Incredible selection of delicious and unique burgers to go along with the wide variety of craft beer. Great atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Not the cheapest menu around but definitely worth the price.

I have been here a few times and overall a good place, although the food seems to take a while when I've come for lunch. There is a decent selection of beers. I have had the Chuck Norris burger a few times and I like it a lot. The appetizers are good too, I especially liked the fried pickles. I recently tried the Santa Fe salad and it was also good and a decent portion too.

The Beer selection is good here. Especially if you like craft brews and harder-to-find limited/seasonal selections. The burgers are just OK. And that just about sums it up.

What is not to like with a great beer selection and really good food. Uncle Bob never saw this one coming ;^). Just like everything there are two sides to the beer tap picture. IOW, big selection. Best part is the selection criteria on the menu. Choose by Hop level (0-5) (Great idea!), and also alcohol content with corresponding cost. Favorite for me was the Hop Head Red. Had the other "level-5" hops as well. All were good. $3.50 Happy Hour price is a good deal as well. The sampler platter was a great cross section of their quisine. Beer cheese was good, but the surprise was the fried pretzel dough intended for the dunking. Wow! Really good. It helps to rip the pretzel before dunking to get the cheese to stick. Substituted out the fried pickels for a few onion rings. Not that the pickles wouldn't be good, just not a fan of fried brine and vinegar. Santa Fe Salad. Very good. Huge, btw. We could not muster the space for a burger, but looked and smelled great. WiIl try one next time. Good luck Flipdadddy's I am sure it will go well. D

Fantastic selection of rotating craft draft beers. Very delicious burgers. I especially love the Oktoberfest with a side of asparagus. Their asparagus is prepared perfectly every time!

Went here for happy hour with some colleagues from work yesterday and was impressed by the beer selection on tap. The happy hour deal itself ($3.50 for anything on tap) was great as well. Definitely heading back soon to try out some more of their beer.

Flip Daddy's is a new burger restaurant in Mason, OH. This is the second Flip Daddy's, the first being in Mariemont. The burgers are nothing special, about the same as Red Robin, and not quite as unique as Terry's Turf Club. Flip Daddy's does have a very impressive bar with a broad beer selection. The interior is very clean and modern. If you are looking for a standard burger, then Flipdaddy's is a good choice. If you are looking for something special and unique, you are better off looking elsewhere.

Great high-end burgers (try the French Connection!) and a fabulous beer selection. They offer a beer sampler for $7 for small glasses of any four of their beers. Worth a special trip!

Great vegetarian burger (black bean) and fries. I've heard good things about the real, meat-filled hamburgers as well as the beer selection (not a fan of beer myself). Service was not great, but not awful. The waiter took quite a while to get beer to our table, which was irksome. Overall, it was a good time. I'll definitely be getting the veggie burger again.

We enjoyed our food at Flipdaddy's very much. I had been craving a cheeseburger for weeks and we figured this would be the best place to take care of that craving. The service left much to be desired, otherwise I would have given it 4 stars. For drinks, we had cocktails, including the Guiness Bloody Mary, who both my husband and my friend said is one of the best bloody marys they've ever had, plus beer from their extensive beer list. The server brought our round of drinks which consisted of a beer, a bloody mary, a bourbon on the rocks, and a vodka and soda. He remember who got the bloody mary and the beer, but he stared at the serving tray for a minute before telling my husband and me that he didn't know which was which (bourbon on the rocks, vodka and club soda...). He said, and I quote "I can handle drinks when there's only 2 people, but when there's more, I always get them mixed up. I just drink beer." If you are familar with bourbon and vodka, you know that they don't look alike! Luckily my husband and I could indentify our drinks :) When we ordered, I was torn between 2 burgers, and said as much to the server. I asked if he had a suggestion for me. He said "ummmm..." for a solid 20 seconds, then finally says, "I haven't tried either of them". Now, as a restaurant owner, I would think you would make sure that your servers were familiar with your food, since customers count on them for advice or suggestions, but if I was the server, even if I had never tried either burger, I would have used the info that I DID have, like, "People seem to really like the XXX", or whatever. What I would NOT have done is give me zero help. Anyway, that aside, I ordered the Chuck Norris burger (YUM) with fries, and was very pleased with both. My friend had the burger with bacon and egg on it and said it was great. All around, everyone had burgers and were pleased with their main courses. For starters, we had the pretzel bites with beer cheese, which I was not a fan of. They deep fry their pretzels instead of baking them, and they came out sitting in a pool of oil. It was not appealing. Also, the beer cheese had little flavor other than, well, melted cheese. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but beer cheese usually has a beer flavor, maybe some garlic, some hot sauce, whatever, it's just usually more flavorful than this version was. I wouldn't order it again. All in all, this place has potential. The food was good and creative with lots of options. They definitely need to work on their service, but we'll go back and give them another shot soon.

Very yummy burger and fries! I had the all-american burger. Hubby had the mushroom swiss and he loved his as well. The beer sampler is a fun way to try several of their beers at once. Wouldnt get the onion rings again but everything else was awesome!

Great bar atmosphere. Love the fried macaroni as a side dish! Also a great beer selection. Nice place to unwind and get out of rush hour traffic. The burgers are pretty good as well.

Great beer selection, and some different kind of burgers. With the burgers it seems to be like hit or miss. The Mac and Cheese burger (Yes, there is a mac and cheese paddy on it!!) is awesome. However, if you order your burger medium and the rest of the table orders it medium well, be prepared to have a cold burger. I have been there 3 times and my burger was ALWAYS luke warm whereas the other ones were hot. I tried the El Paso burger which was disgusting. I did not finish it and nobody else with me wanted to finish it after trying it. The bellpeppers are not really roasted but are the ones that you ca buy in a glass (I really don't like them and that's all you taste). I also tried the French Connection Burger which was ok. I should have waited until the aioli melted. But I wish it would come with salad/tomatoe or some kind ofprosciotto or bacon. Others tried the Rise and Shine Burger and liked it a lot too. Fries are good.

Flip Daddy's is a great improvement over most of the other bars and chains in the Mason area. Up until now there was really on The Fox and the Hound to get a decent tap selection in this area and Bar 71 next door to Flip Daddy's has an awfully bad selection for beer. But Flip Daddy's has a nice tap selection of about 30 drafts and a pretty decent bottle selection too. I've tried a few of the appetizers to go along with the beers and they were definitely a cut above most pub food. I haven't tried any of the entrees yet, but based on experience with the beer and apps, I'm willing to guess that they're pretty good to. There is a mug club to join for a small beer discount and a separate beer club where you eventually get free beer after trying enough different ones. A great place for an after work happy hour and probably for a family dinner too.

I really wanted to like this place. Our evening started out by being told there was a 45 minute wait. After about 25 minutes, we just decided to snag a spot at the bar. We started out with the beer cheese appetizer. This was by far the best part of the meal! It consisted of fried pretzel bites, slightly crispy, that were seasoned such that the heat would slowly build on you. They were served with a beer cheese that was also quite good, especially as it cooled and thickened. I tried the burger of the month and my wife tried the Goucho burger. They use a blend of different cuts of meat for the patty. The problem with the patty composition is that if it is overcooked even slightly, the flavor just evaporates. I ordered mine cooked medium which allowed the few middle bites to be quite good, but everything surrounding it was not appetizing. The first thing I noticed was how small the burger seemed. For $9, you should should get a little more in my opinion. The topping on mine was a corn and bean salsa with queso cheese. Honestly, it was kind of bland. The Goucho burger had chimichurri on it, which I thought was slightly better. The fries are straight from the grocery store freezer isle. Nothing to write home about. Overall the place was just kind of blah. If you want a great burger and fries, go to Terry's Turf Club. This place might be better suited for a happy hour with their impressive beer selection and pretty good appetizers.

Gotta tell ya, I was pretty unhappy with my experience at this location. Yes, they have more beer than the one in Mariemont, but the food doesn't even come close. I also get that if I'm going to a "burger joint", I should've ordered a burger. I ordered the fish tacos, which I've ordered many times at the Mariemont location. They were quite simply...horrid. The portions were the size of a frozen fish stick. One of the tacos had the portion the size of 1/2 a fish stick. The tortillas were icy cold and soggy. The "salsa" was runny and looked like it came from a jar. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he took the least edible taco and came back with one that wasn't even cooked. It was at that point that I just let it go. It was my partner's birthday and I didn't want to ruin his meal. He wanted to relax and enjoy the beer selection. I can't say that I will never go back, but I think I'll always try to push our visits to the Mariemont location.

Good creative burgers and a very impressive on-tap beer selection. Reasonable pricing and options. The sweet potato fries were worth the $1 upcharge. I originally looked at this place like, "really? another smash burger, five guys... geesh how can all these places stay in business" but I was very pleasantly surprised. It's great for families, couples or just a burger at the bar. Looks like nice fresh ingredients.

Go for the incredible draft beer selection, stay for the burgers. They have some fun frequent drinker programs with prizes for those that love close enough to repeat visit.

Great burgers that are actually unique. A personal favorite is the Chuck Norris, but there are tons of other choices as well. The beer selection is great as well. If you're looking for a burger joint that brings a little extra to the table, this is your spot!

My wife and i went on a very busy night. The bartender was alone and incredibly busy. he still managed to be very knowledge about the menu and got everything we needed. Great beer selection. So many beers on tap to choose from. We tried the French connection burger on his recommendation and best burger I've ever had. I tried chuck Norris burger it was ok. But this place in general amazing.

Flipdaddy's...i wanted to love you, but it's just not the case. The burgers are made with the right blend of meat...chuck, brisket and short rib. The toppings are good and the buns are great. I think they over handle their burgers when making them, so the burgers are too dense. The fries are excellent, as is the beer selection. It's a two Star burger with a 4 star beer selection.

First restaurant we visited in Mason, OH. After almost two years, still one of the better restaurant/bars. Great food and beer. Consistent, a little older style set-up, but works great!

In the blandness in what is the suburbs you are always excited to get something new. In this case the excitement quickly wore off. Ordered burger and fries (I always start with the signature item). the burger was small in comparison to Five Guys or Red Robin. Bun was cold yet it was toasted. So either sat in the windows for awhile or was toasted ahead. The burger patty and toppings where good. The fries while tasty, came in a very small portion. The last comment would be for $10 for a burger I expected much more. Skip it and go to five guys. Services was ok nothing special. Looks to have good beer selection but the bar next door is much cheaper.

Service here was poor and the turkey burger was awful. Menu is a bit limited. It was still early, but hope it gets worked out. Area needs a sportsbar that is not buffalo wild wings. Beer selection is excellent.

After waiting for 45 minutes, when being told it would be a 20 minute wait, we were already a bit displeased. Then after being seated for another 10 minutes, with no service we flagged down a hostess and asked for a server. She went to a waiter 20 feet away and told him of our request. A few minutes later he walked by our table and checked on a group that had just been seated (we are assuming to spite us). So we left and will never return. Obviously would not recommend!

First, let me say this: We are going to give this place another try. Everything was ok. Nothing was amazing, but nothing was horrible either. The menu has so much potential and the atmosphere is great, with a gazillion beers on tap and live music some nights as well as trivia and 1/2 price wine nights. I wanted the Gaucho Burger to be an explosion of flavor, as well as the Mac Daddy burger (with Fried Mac n Cheese on top!), but, alas, they were just kinda "fine". Everything was just bland. We had the Pretzel bites with Beer Cheese as an app, which are weird. They fry the little bites into these little charred bits that sit on the plate and release a puddle of oil the longer they sit. I get the concept, but they were not very appetizing to look at. Service, however, was awesome. The server was pleasant, informative, prompt and efficient. 5 stars for her. Sooooo, we will be back, and we will give it another chance.

I must be honest in starting this review and note that I am a regular at this establishment. My first visit more than a year ago was not all that impressive. The burgers were good, but the beer was warm. Not any more. I am here at least twice a week...which is not good for my waistline. The keys that make me come back on a regular basis are: 1) Excellent customer service. Everyone is great, but I recommend sitting at the bar. Tom is the man! The first time I sat at the bar, he shook my hand and asked my name. I came in a week later, he remembered my name. That is rare. Amanda is also fantastic. I even allow her to choose my beer. They have had a lot of people leave due to the Newport location opening, but the customer service is still great. 2) Beer selection. I like to try different beers as often as possible. While they have the standard beers on tap, they rotate taps so often that I can barely keep up. Join the Mug Club, and get a larger poor for the same price each time you order a beer. Come on...bigger beers are always better! 3) The food. I like to eat, particularly if it is good food. The combinations that they come up with for the burgers may not be appealing to everyone, but you can make your own. Not just your typical ground beef or even sirloin type burger here...they mix in some short rib and brisket for a very distinct flavor. 4) The atmosphere. The place can get busy and even noisy, but the crowd has never gotten out of hand. I enjoy talking to other regulars, as well as offering suggestions to the newbies. The staff makes the atmosphere pleasant and it carries over to the patrons. Just a lot of fun. Again, I am biased toward this place. I generally like to go in and drink a beer or two and get out. But, at Flipdaddy's, I have made some friendships that came as a surprise for me. I am no social butterfly.

My fish tacos were a joke. Teeny tiny pieces of fish, some toppings, lots of superfluous tortilla. Not worth $13.99. At best, I'd say they were worth $5.99 considering I didn't even get full and I don't typically eat very large meals. My boyfriend said his burger was nothing to write home about. I had one of his onion rings. It didn't taste like much of anything. We were there celebrating my dad's birthday. We mentioned this and our server generously offered a free dessert. Dad picked the brownie sundae. I was the first to scoop out a bite. A little piece hung from the bite by a hair. Nope. Nope. Nope. Our server was good, but never again. Total waste of money. They can keep their free hair sundae.

Excellent burgers and service! Ryan was awesome. He explained some of the ingredients in the burgers and told us his favorite. Our drinks were also never empty! They have an awesome outdoor patio with lights! I got the Mac and Cheese burger and it was super greasy but very delicious. The sweet potato fries were also great especially with the dipping sauce that comes with it! Would recommend if you're in the mood for a burger!

For some reason I was expecting a fast food burger joint. In reality, Flipdaddy's decor is more like a nicer Chili's. Booth or bar seating is available. Large flat screen tv's are all around. All were set to some form of sports show or game. We seated promptly. Our waitress told us about a curent beer special. Many different burgers to choose from. They also have various other sandwiches, and salads. I got the Bayou burger, my husband got the burger of the month, and the kids got kids burgers. My burger was full of flavor. The bayou seasoning was used appropriately; not overpowering the havarti cheese. Meat was cooked to medium, as I ordered. The second half of the burger started to get kind of sloppy. The caramelized onions and other produce added to that. I had to finish it with a knife and fork. Fries were decent. My husband's burger was really good too. The burger of this month is a double blackened burger, with blue cheese, and onion straws. Kids burgers are two sliders . They come with a drink, choice of side, and a little ice cream. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty card to earn prizes. All in all, the meal was more expensive than we were expecting, but the food and service were both good.

The food is great, the service is exceptional. Perks include the Mug Club (totally worth the initial investment), a great loyalty program, an always inventive Burger of the Month, and live music and trivia throughout the week. This is a restaurant you want to frequent.

We came for Burger Week and almost all of us got the Chuck Norris. Mine was served more medium well than medium but it was very good with a buttered and toasted brioche bun and plenty of jalapenos and cheese, topped off with a creamy spicy sauce. The seasoned fries are amazing: perfectly flavorful and crispy. Service was great and very fast. Will be back to try the other varieties, for sure!

This is a followup review to my last one. After my last post about the ant issue, I was contacted by Mike the GM with a very nice note, stating the ant issue was going to be addressed and to come back and have a meal on the house. We did do that tonight. The ant problem by the windows has been resolved...they actually brought in professionals to address the issue. The ants were attracted to the outside bushes and were coming in an external outlet. The burgers we had were really good. I had the goat cheese and grape....delicious!!! My husband had the Chuck Norris which was also great (and spicy). And our toddler had potato soup and the kids cheeseburger meal...which includes dessert! We will definitely be back again based on a much better overall experience. Thank you, Mike, for inviting us back to try Flipdaddy's again. FYI - Also several September specials including 1/2 price burgers on Tuesday's after 4pm!! Wow!!! And test your luck with the flip of a coin on Thursday for 1/2 price beers.

I really like this place and went with a group of people after playing volleyball. We had a great waiter who was very patient and played along with our silliness. Atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting. the seating was spacious but not too spacious. The staff was good and got our drinks and food at a timely matter. A lot of us have never been here and out waiter was able to help us out. I wanted a shitake mushroom burger but didn't know what to put on it for the "create your own." I told him to have fun with it and have a good kick ( spicy) to it. He did a great job with that!! The shitake burger was tasty with a good kick with chipotle mayo. My friends all had different burgers and all were decent to large portion sizes and very tasty. There is a full bar so some of us were able to get mixed drinks and didn't have to wait too long for it. We will definitely come back and I think I will let the cook have fun again!!

I can't comment on the food or drink because the service was so bad, we left. My husband and I decided to try this place with our two kids. We were there long enough to change both kids' diapers and for both adults to go to the bathroom. During that time not a single person came to our table. There are too many restaurants worthy of my money to give it to a place with such bad service.

If yelp allowed for 3.5 star reviews, Flipdaddy's would be the definition of that rating. Flipdaddy's features a variety of burgers with unique topping combinations. The burgers themselves are good but not enough to get me extremely excited. There are a ton of burger/topping options or the create your own, however none of the pre-selected combinations are all that appealing in my opinion. Everything just sounds "ok". The menu as a whole is just very "blah"....burgers, salads, and appetizers....and that's about it. The bar does feature a very large craft beer selection, which is a huge plus for the restaurant. Overall, the food is good, it's just kind of boring. I feel like it's just a few steps above a Chili's or Applebee's. Im sure we will be back, as my kids like the place and it's very family friendly. Service has always been great.

We have been here several times. While the burgers are good, we are not big burger people; however, you can get any of their specialty burgers as a chicken breast, turkey burger, or bean pattie. This last option really appealed to our friend's daughter who is a vegetarian. My wife likes their quesadilla, but another person said it was too spicy. Our youngest like the pretzel bites that are served with beer cheese. Their beer selection is good and the wait staff has always been friendly. They take reservations for large parties, which is key when you have several couples or two families.

I've been to this location several times and my trips have been far enough apart so that I forget what it is that bothers me about Flipdaddys. First off, the good: the beer selection is pretty good, the happy hour prices are good, and the burgers are flavorful and fresh. Some of the appetizers are really good as well (especially the pretzels with beer cheese). The service is okay and friendly. Now, the bad. The burger patties are too thin. Add toppings and a bun, and pretty soon the heat is gone from the burger. My last one was lukewarm and gushing juice which was all over the bun (and therefore coating my hands each time I took a bite). For $10-12 I expect a thick and hot burger with tasty fries. What brings me to Flippdaddys usually is the beer, but their happy hour ends at 6 pm. Seriously? How about giving us working stiffs a chance to get there and have a beer at a reasonable rate? Finally, this location appears to have been something akin to an Applebees at some point. The decor is just bland and needs something to make it distinctive. The burger toppings are good, but frankly Five Guys makes a better burger. At least there you get a patty hotter than room temperature.

First time going, We left as soon as we saw the DEVIL on the bathroom door!!!! Family of 6 (would have been a HUGE bill) walked out because of managements STUPID choice of ways to depict a men's restroom. We will never go to this chain again.

I had the Chuck Norris and my wife had the Paesano. Both burgers were very good. Cooked perfectly and very juicy. For an appetizer we had the pretzels and beer cheese which were very good also. They have a great beer selection with rotating taps. My only complaint would be the service. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. We sat at the bar which had 3 bartenders and they pretty much disappeared until you asked for something. We had to ask to order, I was asked if I needed any sauces and requested some that never came until I asked again 10 minutes later. Good food and beer, below average service. I would say a little pricey for what it is.

We were from out of town with a group of 22 from a volleyball team of 13 year olds. Wasn't sure where to go . checked out many places but settled for flip daddy's. We called ahead to let them know the size of our group. they were very accommodating. we ate mid-afternoon the service was great the food was amazing everybody was happy with their meal. Yes all 22! they had a great beer selection to go with the burgers. highly highly recommend. I had the grilled salad, pretzel beer cheese bites which was delicious their onion rings are some of the best I've had!

I only eat about 2 burgers a year. Flipdaddy's has burgers I actually like, given the wildly interesting combination of toppings they add. I drink a lot of beer, and they have more than enough on tap to keep me interested. Since I'm not a huge burger eater, I've stuck with the Rise and Shine Burger...if you're going to only eat a few a year, you might as well load it up with bacon and cheese and an oozing over-easy egg, right? I've had the Oktoberfest burger, which is a pretzel bun encasing the burger with all kinds of German gastrointestinally-disruptive pickled goodies. The fried pickle spears are really nice, crunchy and well-seasoned. The only disappointing food I've experienced was the wedge salad that could have been better trimmed, since there's nothing more startling in your food than that awful bitter portion of the lettuce close to the core. No amount of bleu cheese dressing can cover up that taste! The beer selection is great, although a little heavy on the IPA selections for my taste. There's a nice seasonal rotation with lots of local choices as well as some imports and less commonly seen options. In addition to the rotating taps, there are a slew of permanent selections, including Miller Lite, for which I will totally judge you if I overhear you ordering it. Get a real beer. Samplers are available if you like variety, and the bar tenders are more than happy to bring you a few sips to try before you order a full pint. We have seen them pour more samples than full beers during Happy Hour! And speaking of HH, beer runs $3.50/glass and apps are discounted until 6pm. Strangely, Flipdaddy's is rarely busy, which is strange since it really is a decent bar and restaurant. There's a nice little patio with tables and umbrellas outside, with a great view of...the parking lot and highway...but on a nice sunny afternoon, there's a great breeze! The bathroom is really cramped, but it's always clean and stocked. I've always received pleasant service and have never felt rushed, whether sitting at the bar or on the patio. The bartenders and servers are up to speed on the menu, including all the beers on the seasonal rotation. The kitchen puts food out at a really decent pace. Since there are only three restaurants right now (Symmes Twp, Mariemont, and most recently Union, KY), the standards seem to be pretty high. Here's hoping they continue to experience success with their creative burgers and lots of beer. Because...beer.

burgers healthy size, but sauces feel generic. I ordered barbecue sauce, cheddar, bacon. seasoned fries are crispy and hot. skip the pretzel bites and watery dipping cheese.

Great selection of beers and service was great! I had the 1/2 Mark Cuban and a mushroom bisque, both of which were very good. My kids had some really good Mac n cheese and hubby would definitely recommend the hot ham and Swiss. Not sure why they had so many negative reviews but we all really enjoyed our meal here and would definitely recommend it.

Yes, I'm a vegetarian but I love gourmet burger restaurants. They have a black bean burger and a Monster Mushroom - not my fave veg burger options; I'm much more partial to something a la a Boca patty, as this most closely mimics a *meat* patty. We arrived on a Thursday night for dinner, and it seemed fairly busy but there was no wait. We started with an order of Beer Cheese with pretzel bites (5 for $8.49), the Fried Pickles (6 for $6.99), and Crispy Battered Green Beans ($6.99). These were appetizers shared among three people, and I felt like the apps were a little pricey for the amount of food - with the exception of the Green Beans. We all studied the Burger menu for a loooonngg time, trying to make up our minds on what delicious-sounding combinations would be best. After much debate, I decided to try the Blackened Bayou, featuring homemade remoulade sauce, Cajun grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and Havarti cheese. It was a little spicy for me, but I already have the next burger in mind for my future visit (French Connection). In hindsight, I really wished I'd ordered that one instead (I love Boursin cheese and aioli!). My husband decided to be really brave and try the Herman Muenster, featuring pan-fried cinnamon apples, pumpkin aioli, grilled onions and muenster cheese. Here is where the black bean patty really clashed with the flavors of the toppings, and the apples could have stood to be cooked more. My brother (the meat-eater) had the Mac Daddy, and he was very pleased and said that it was cooked well. With a burger menu as diverse as Flipdaddy's, I found myself very tempted to try something new and different, but I do wish I had stuck with something more basic for that first visit. The appetizers were tasty, and I just hope I can convince my husband to return so we can give the burgers a more fair assessment.

We like coming on Wednesday night to play trivia. Although we never win we keep coming back! We like consistency and the food and service is usually pretty good. They have a large beer selection with tons of beer on tap. I also love the fact they take reservations! I would recommend coming here. Something different than a chain restaurant. They just need a larger parking lot at their Symmes Township location!

Holy shit, was this a pleasant surprise. I was in the area doing work-related things, and didn't get a chance to eat on my way down from Columbus. Needless to say, by 3:30pm, I was a bit hungry, and this place popped up on my Yelp search for "craft beer." I read through the reviews... "formerly a Bob Evans"... but the whole "beer and burgers" concept, I was intrigued. And this was *before* I learned about May being National Burger Month (this was in April, anyways). Man, it was slow in there (it was the middle of the week, between meal times) but I don't understand WHY. The burger? DELICIOUS. It was the Burger of the Month of April, with some beer cheese and roasted red peppers. The bartender? Awesome guy, whose name I now forget, but he made a point to introduce himself to me and called me by name the entire time I was there. The beer selection? Not the *largest* tap list, but they had a fine selection of quality beers. If I'm in the area, I will be back. It was really damn good.

In our five day stay in Ohio we went three times. Each time we met some of the most informative, funny, outgoing staff members who really helped us get our bearings of the area! Everything I had was fantastic, from the craft beers, to the addictive dipping sauce that came with the sweet potato fries. This seems to be a hidden gem in Ohio since quite a few people we talked to from the area had never heard of it. Flip daddy's has a couple of other locations but we specifically ate at this one. Another is opening, I believe, by the Newport Levee! If you like burgers and beers and are tired of the same old Applebee's, Ruby Tuesdays, Buffalo Wild Wings, and other restaurants, definitely try it out. They have a burger of the month special, they have a rewards program and also a "mug club", gives you more beer for your money and happy hour prices all day on Mondays!! You won't be disappointed!

I ordered the mushroom melt it was very very good! I highly highly recommend for all vegetarians out there or non too because it really is delicious!! The fries had seasoning on them which always them extra good in my opinion! The waitress very attentive and they even had other waitresses come around to make sure your meal was okay which made things even more enjoyable! I'm not from the area ( I was visiting kings island) but if I was ever in the area again I would definitely visit flip daddy's again!

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.

Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States.
