No suprise here the food quality has been stuck in a rut for some time now.The entree selections are dated{ I ate in the tavern] A staple is always the burger or fish and chips the latter of which I ordered. It was like eating fishfingers at a chippy shop in England some place. They probably imported the used grease.I mean oil to fry with. I personally wont eat there again there are simply some better alternatives in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to go there to have a cocktail. They have one of the best bartenders in the city,Wiley, and a fantastic scotch and bourbon selection

We went there for lunch yesterday. Love that the interior of the restaurant area is so cozy, but it could use a little updating. The hostess was very nice and seated us by the window, because she thought my daughter would enjoy watching the ducks and fountain out the window. Sweet. :) Two of us ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken (I shared mine w/ my 5 year old) and the other member of our party ordered the tomato soup (don't remember exactly what it was called. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The (boneless) chicken was served with green beans, "Gouda" mac and cheese, and a small side of chicken gravy. The chicken and green beans were delicious. Gravy was so-so, but not even necessary. Mac and cheese was a little bland, but fine with salt and pepper. Service was adequate. I would return based solely on the chicken. I think this restaurant is more like 3 1/2stars. It's not amazing, but not terrible. I rounded up, because some of the low ratings seemed a little unfair.

Had a small company event here. The staff was awesome, food was great, and the room they had at us in was perfect for what we wanted to do. I haven't eaten here in a few years but I remember it being good.

I wish I could not give a star! This place is the worse.I ate here over the summer so I thought is the good place to go every time but I was wrong about their service ,they have arrogant bartenders and waitress ,and a lot of discrimination , every time I wonder maybe was bad day for them!!!!???? , but always the same attitude and service .don't waste your time and money by going there, there is a lot of good places around the area .

This has been around a long time, and the menu and decor has changed many times over the years. Not sure if they're going for casual cafe or more fine dining anymore. These days, I usually go for happy hour in the bar or on the outdoor patio. Both are lovely, especially the patio on a nice day. You can sit at the pond, watch the ducks, and pretend for a moment you're not in the middle of the burbs. Appetizer specials during happy hour are decent. Chopped salads are my go-to for dinner. Usually very fresh and a nice selection. I used to work nearby, so it was convenient and close. I'm not sure I would seek it out now that I work further away.

I've driven by this a million times and never bothered to stop in until one night I got hungry and "rediscovered" it looking stuff up on the internet. I've been to almost every other restaurant that this group owns, so we decided to drive up here and eat. It has a kind of confusing feel to me. On entering, it felt kind of fancier, with it's large entry way. But then it felt like an older crowd's bar with it's live music and large bar. It wasn't truly my cup of tea, but I still liked it. It's a pretty interior with some of the same decor/tables from their other restaurants. One thing I was kind of disappointed with was that they serve a can of strongbox for 6.50. It's expensive, especially for not on draft, and all the other restaurants in the tavern they have it on tap. I dunno, it's a bit sad. The food, though, was excellent. We both ordered the french onion soup, a very good one too, not the best in town, but I would come back for it for sure. I really, really enjoyed it! And the "cowboy quesadilla", a quesadilla with bbq pulled pork, white cheddar, and caramelized onions, was a delicious dish. I would go back for the food for sure - I really wanted to try the cornbread and apparently I should have!

I've driven by this place for years and never bother to stop in, but one day my boss stops by my office and says let's go to lunch. He said I hope you don't mind, but I want to go to my favorite restaurant. Next thing I know we are in deSha's. deSha's has a beautiful wooden entry way. You are greeted by a hostess who will have you seated. You have the bar area or the dining room which overlooks a pond with a water feature. The decor is pretty nice, gives you a feeling of being in a tavern. The food was actually pretty good. At first glance, this would not be a restaurant I would go to normally, but the menu is very surprising. The fried green tomatoes, crab stuffed mushrooms, flash fried calamari and Maryland crab cakes are awesome. I'm not a salad person, but the buffalo chicken salad is awesome. When we go to lunch it is my first choice always. But if you go for dinner, please try the steak deSha. It is pretty yummy!

My husband loves the prime rib, I like the steak salad or the salmon with marinated tomato topping. The food here never blows me away, but it's a pretty reliable spot to hit on a week night. You can choose to sit in the bar for a more casual atmosphere, but really the entire restaurant is pretty casual. I love sitting on the patio in nice weather and watching the ducks and fish. It's usually nice and shaded, and a great spot to drink a glass(es) of wine.

A group of seven had dinner on a Saturday evening. The service was very good. Everyone in our party enjoyed his/her meal, although some dishes could have been warmer when they were served. The restaurant has live music in the bar on Saturday. Unfortunately the music was so loud where we were seated (on the upper level of the main dining room) that conversation was next to impossible. That was the only thing that detracted from our evening.

Went to deSha's on a Sunday night at 7 because we couldn't get into Bravo's up the street in Mason. Had had take out from there before and the food was ok but not overwhelming. The place was deserted except for 4 tables - ambiance was just dead and drab. As far as food, drink pours were small, food was very underwhelming and uninspired. Our group had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and after just having returned from a vacation down south, they were not good - bland breading and taste. Group ordered burgers, salmon, Fish and chips and Caesar salad - salad was drenched in dressing , burger was dry, salmon had no flavor, their signature Saratoga chips did not rival other local offerings, and battered fish with what I think was panko crumbs was a misfire. Our server was the bright spot - had worked there for decade or two and very accommodating. Overall, the ambiance and food sorely needs an update.

I haven't eaten at deSha's since high school prom... and I'm not admitting how long ago that was. But when I saw a recent LivingSocial deal for it, I knew it was time to go back. The food was terrific. You start off with a plate of warm cornbread, included (bonus!). I had the special of the day which included pulled barbecue pork (a unique sweet barbecue sauce, verging on too sweet for my taste actually), homestyle garlic mashed potatoes, and 2 prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloins which were amazing and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is great, an old style lodge/tavern feel. And the view over the pond outside is an added treat, even in the winter. I was also pleased with the variety. While not a huge menu, there was something for just about every price range.

Used to be our go to restaurant, but after tonight I fear it will no longer be. They have changed the menu, and some of the usual dishes have changed. Almost as if, they are trying to cut costs, and skimping here and there. Sad, that they had to do this. The new menu was introduced 2weeks ago. Good bye my tried and true... Still great service, though!

I have been here several times and have always enjoyed the food and environment. They have the best fish and chips I have ever had, and the Gorgonzola chicken pasta is wonderful. I took my daughter there yesterday after an evening of Christmas shopping and she enjoyed the whole experience for the first time. A winner for her as well.

Okay this is a review specifically for Desha's Thanksgiving Buffet. We decided that it was high time to break the tethers of someone else's idea of family tradition and create our own traditions. So this year we ditched the silly fake family dysFUNction and all the mediochre food and took the kids with us to eat out. For $30 per adult, the Thanksgiving buffet at DeSha's is really hard to beat. Prime rib - awesome Salmon - fantastic There were tons of sides... I hit the cornbread stuffing, which was excellent, and the garden veggie medley. Bottomless chilled shrimp cocktail and chilled thinly shaved smoked salmon. Lots of salad stuff. They had some other stuff... of course traditional turkey and gravy, ham, and some fried fish. Mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, spinach artichoke au gratin... man the list goes on and on... They broke out the table cloths and fine china as well. The place was as packed as I've ever seen it. Not an empty table in the house, and the staff was really moving. But it was really great. Even though we had 2:15 reservations (which I HIGHLY SUGGEST making if you decide to do this next year), we still sat in the bar area... which was fine with me. Jamming to some White Stripes on the radio (they still had the normal bar background tunes spinning). Just the wife, the babies, and myself... I am really digging this new family tradition.

Every other time I've been here it has been good. Unfortunately, this time was really disappointing. We had reservations since it's Christmas Eve. It took us about 10 minutes to get our server back to get our drink order, they completely forgot to bring me my soup, our entrees took forever, the vegetables and potatoes that came with my dinner were ice cold, we had to keep asking for refills, and we rarely saw our server. She never came to check on our food until after I had to return mine because it was cold. This was a really disappointing visit and I won't be back for a while.

deSha's does everything right. The decor is tasteful and soothing--especially the seating looking out on the adjoining pond. Our server was perfectly friendly, professional and efficient. The tavern chips make a delicious if extremely decadent appetiser, especially the ones topped with blue cheese and bacon. Hubby's french onion soup was good, but be prepared for a different flavor from what you may be used to. I ordered my old standby of a buttermilk fried chicken breast, which comes with country gravy, mashed potatoes and a delicious vegetable medley. Hubby's hot brown was not the best he's ever had, but still well-prepared and tasty. From other visits to deSha's at lunchtime, I also highly recommend the shrimp and cheese grits. Check for two with one cocktail, one beverage and food items mentioned above was about $45. That includes tax but not the tip.

I agree that sometimes this place has slow/bad service. But we just there for lunch and had a great waiter. Good food, new menu. try the fried chicken, taste and portion where excellent. Sadly they have close the small bar, which was perfect in the winer, failout from the smoking ban I am sure.

The BF & I went here on a Saturday night because we had a LivingSocial coupon. The cornbread (with real corn!) was delicious. I ordered the fried chicken & he had the prime rib. I loved the chicken & mashed potatoes, but found the side of "seasonal vegetables" to be a bit odd. I expected something like broccoli or green beans and carrots. Instead I found a medley of zucchini, peppers, green beans, carrots, and the smallest floret of broccoli I've ever seen. Would have been much better with just two veggies. The BF liked the prime rib alright, but thought it was more like a steak & there was way too much fat on it. We split the brownie sundae & I almost wish we would have had 2 people there to share it with us. While delicious, it was huge. Much too large for one person, let alone two. Service was good & we could hear the band playing in the bar while still able to maintain a conversation. A little pricier than we usually go, but with a coupon, it was manageable.

Horrible experience with a client. He wanted to try it and then we both wished I'd talked him into something else. Food came to the table cold. Waiter was never around and we were there on trivia night. No matter where you were in the place - bar or dining area - all you heard was the young woman on the microphone asking questions.

I really like DeSha's. This is a great location as it is close to work and we visit here often for business luncheons. I would describe the menu as American pub food with comfort flare! They have everything from great salads to steak to fish to grilled cheese and tomato bisque (which is awesome by the way). The restaurant is spread out so you can sit in the open bar area, the main restaurant or outside when the weather allows. Even in the dining room you can request a table by the small pond and watch the ducks. The service here is wonderful and they take great care of you. They will make recommendations and you can always customize your order anyway you like without any problems. We have always got great service here and our food has always been wonderful. Anytime you are in the area - give them a try!

Great service! Our food came within 10 minutes of ordering and our server was very attentive. If you make a (good) decision to come here, request Ashley to be your waitress! You won't be disappointed :)

I was very impressed when we arrived. The inside of the establishment is absolutely gorgeous, and the service staff was as good as it gets. Of course (as hoped) they had a large selection of local craft beers, so we ordered drinks and the Goetta Fries ($7.95). They were so absolutely incredble that I still often think about them and crave them. I would go again just to even smell the fries, that's how good they were. I ended up getting the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and it came with gravy, green beans and gouda macaroni and cheese. So delicious! Also, the portions are much larger than expected, so a to-go box was a must. I tell everyone about how great this place was, I will definitely be going back.

Well, I was talked into meeting a colleague here for dinner. I saw they had a haddock fish and chip dinner on their menu and was of course intrigued. After starting out with the buffalo shrimp appetizer and a house salad, my fish and chips arrived. Unfortunately, the fish and chips we just so so. The batter was a hard and flat tasting - almost like they may have been pre-made and frozen until ordered and readied for the dunk in the deep fryer. I've had much better and fresher tasting fish and chips at the local VFWs on a Friday night during lent. I really wanted to give this place more of a 2 star rating but our server was excellent. If I did happen to return to this place one more time, I would probably stick with something simple like the burger. I really wanted to like this place but the food was really just so so... Even my colleague's piece of grilled salmon that came with the smoky/spicy barbecue sauce looked like it was just barbecue sauce with maybe some Cayanne pepper or something else mysteriously added to it. He scraped the sauce off the salmon and muscled his way through finishing it. I'm sure the owners and others at this establishment put their heart and soul into it...and I hate leaving review like this, but if I were them I would seriously sit down and take a strong honest look at their menu and the way certain foods are prepared. This is a very warm and cozy establishment and I've heard it's got quite a history. I think it's just time to revamp the menu with some newer fresher tastier products.

This place is legit. On our way to the Brewers / Reds game we wanted to eat beforehand away from the city because the traffic was bad. We decided to go for this place despite the mediocre reviews. It wasn't warm enough but they have a cool gas fireplace with lounge style seating around it oustide. Inside they have a restaurant/dining section, a bar with only drinks and bar food, and the new "polo" bar that serves drinks and the full menu. We decided to sit there. The polo bar area was cool, it was in a little room with high tables and a small bar with TVs and sports decorations around the walls. The area was small, but didn't seem that way. The beer tap menu was impressive along with the bottle selection. I went with both local IPAs that I've never had before - almost a no brainer when you're from out of town. They were delicious. The happy hour allows you have to have a 16oz Yuengling for $3, which seems almost like theft. The craft beers were only $4. On the food menu everything looked good. A lot of different/unique American style dishes to choose from. My friend had some sort of beef sandwich on a pretzel roll. I had a chicken club style sandwich. Both were great. If I'm ever in Cincinnati again, I'll have this place on my list. For all you local Cincy people, check this place out.

We reserved a room for a birthday party and our waiter was awful. We had to constantly get his attention to get us drinks and even our food order. It was so bad, that one person went to complain, so they sent a lady back to help, but she could not take any orders. She would just point to the waiter. When it came time to cut the cake, the lady actually cut the cake with a knife in her left hand and used her right hand to put the pieces on the plate. She had icing all over her hand. It was disgusting. I tried to hand her a fork to use, but she said, oh, I washed my hands. I said I'd never seen anything like that. I wouldn't even do that at my house. So when I pulled out my phone to videotape it, she dropped the knife and left and then came back with a glove on her hand. No apologies. She just acted ticked off. Worst service ever! I suggest NEVER having a party there!

Love, love, love deSha's. They have come a long way from a couple of years ago. I used to not be a big fan- but things have changed a lot for the better (mainly in the way of food) and I now love coming here. They have a small bar off the entry way called the Polo Bar if you want a more intimate bar experience, there is a big bar in the back if you want to watch the game or socialize a bit, many different dining rooms and a patio for the spring/summer- something for everyone! The food is really great. Have not ordered anything in the past 1.5 years that I haven't really enjoyed. Menu is varied and has something for everyone- my go-to fave is the quesadilla (any of them are great), but really love the shrimp and grits or the prime rib sandwich if I'm there for dinner. Also a solid draft beer selection- rotating taps with seasonal craft brews. Service is way above par at deSha's. Whether you are at the bar or seated in a dining area, you will have a great service experience. Have had many different servers and have never been disappointed. I also hosted my company Christmas party here this year, and everything went very smoothly. Tina coordinated the event with me and Jamie was our server, everyone had a great time and I got a lot of good feedback on the event! Overall- this is an outstanding neighborhood restaurant and bar.

Went her from my Grandmothers birthday. The one good part was the service was very good. Also, the bill for our large group was much lower than expected. Down sides: When making the reservations we asked if it would be quite as it is my grandmother's birthday. They assured us they would put us in a quite area of the restaurant. For about 20 minutes it was just slightly louder than normal then the band started playing in the other room. Most bars I have been to don't play music this loud. My grandmother could not enjoy conversation with anyone at all which was the point of the whole dinner. It was one of those restaurants where being veg means eating side salads and fries. This is probably one of the reasons our bill was so low. I actually left early and just went to visit her the next day. Not somewhere I plan on going to again.

After being told deSha's was known for their 'Kentucky Hot Brown,' three out of our party of nine ordered this dish. Unfortunately for us, while deSha's might be known for their 'Kentucky Hot Brown' they most certainly don't know how to make one at this location. Additionally, when I requested steak fries with my hot brown, the waitress informed me only traditional French fries (not my favorite style) were available. So, I ordered a baked potato with... Before I could finish, the waitress said: "We don't serve baked potatoes here." So, I settled for a house salad. This last part I found out after-the-fact: This deSha's serves the same portion size 'Kentucky Hot Brown' at lunch as they do for a dinner entre; with no sides included. Suggestions: 1. As a dinner entre, increase the portion to at least fill the plate it's served on. 2. Lose the overly salty bacon bits and replace them with two strips of real bacon. 3. For the price ($13.50) serve this dish with one side as a part of the meal. Even if the side is just a small serving of French fries, it would be an improvement. By the way, all three diners who ordered the 'Kentucky Hot Brown' at this table were not satisfied with the dish. However, as we were never asked, we did not offer our opinions on the short comings of our dinner. On a positive note, the other six in our party of nine enjoyed their dinners. So, with a score of 66.666%, deSha's earned a "Gentlemen's D" final grade for this evening.

Food is good, prices are fair. Service is very friendly and efficient... I have to say the chairs in the dining room are terrible... Very uncomfortable...Better to eat standing up I recommend the restaurant but sit in a booth.

Horrible...food tastes as if everything was from a can. We waited forever for our food and there was only 4 tables filled in the whole restaurant. French onion soup as well as the tomato bisque tasted like it came out of a can, and wasn't even hot when it arrived. Nothing special about the salads and the homemade chips came out cold and too hard to even eat. It's a shame because the restaurant itself is nice, you can sit outside and enjoy the scenery but the food is horrible.

I'm a fan of deSha's for numerous reasons: excellent ambiance overall; extensive variety of excellent draft beers in the bar; very good food with a wide-ranging menu; happy hour special pricing; very good to excellent service. Lastly, an exceedingly comfortable main dining room with overtones of a wooded great lodge make this place special. Somehow they've managed to keep a certain lightness to the whole affair that makes it semi-chic; unusual to pull off with so much paneling and dark wood floors. Well done. Now that I think about it, I like deSha's for all the above, boiled down to this: deSha's is a major cut above average in every single category. I knew there would be plenty of lower Yelp ratings, as I've been an on-and-off patron of the restaurant for 10 years, and have noticed through time that DeSha's gets more than its fair share of sniping. It's unwarranted, as their food and service and ambiance are way better than average. It's not perfect but it's better than 95% of the restaurants in the local Cincinnati marketplace. Food: Prime rib is excellent, Hot Brown, chicken dishes, burgers, soups, appetizers (many to choose from), all tasty items and all priced what you'd expect from an above-average restaurant in Symmes Twp./Loveland that seeks to elevate itself. I've found their dishes to be well-conceived; many are creative, and the presentation is generally outstanding (and they don't skimp on their food). Layout: The main Dining Room is fairly elegant with lots of wood and cozy booths, low lighting; very comfortable design and seating layout. The bar dining area is not quite so elegant but highly functional, large, and comfortable, (much nicer than your average bar area). Note that the main bar area has live music on the weekends, also has numerous TV's. There are numerous good wines, 15 (approx.) drafts, plus many bourbons and scotches. Again, very comfortable bar seating, nice ambiance. One note: I really miss not being able to sit in the Muirfield Pub anymore, a sweet little sidebar seating about 25 off to the left side of the restaurant, replete with its own fireplace. (They open it for special rentals only nowadays). Bottom line: Come here looking for very good food with a wide-ranging menu; good to excellent service; great beverage/beer selection. Don't look for perfection. If you keep that in mind you'll come away pleased. Note: Large outside deck overlooking small pond open 3 seasons.

Great ambiance, but the food wasn't as good as was touted. I went on a business trip and ordered the salmon and it was pretty good, but could have been better for the price. Service was good, especially for a group as big as ours.

Great atmosphere, extremely friendly staff, and delicious food! Every time my husband and I come here, we are pleasantly surprised. The fried green tomatoes are ridiculously superb! The house salad is amazing! The buttermilk fried chicken melts in your mouth. Oh, and the corn bread they bring to the table is a great extra touch.

This place is just not good. The food is average to below average and the crowd is "distinguished". I feel like it is a cross between the mooses lodge and my Aunt Betty's kitchen. The people that love this place probably think Myrtle Beach is a trendy spot to vacation. I really can't even give a recommendation on any dish because none of them are memorable.

Went to deSha's this past Thanksgiving and had a wonderful experience with my family. So much so that I thought I would make reservations for an upcoming Graduation Dinner. My mother called in order to ascertain if they could accommodate a large party, 20 people, for 5:00 PM on a Saturday 4 weeks away. We were told that would be fine. However, today the reservation was cancelled for one of the most unprofessional reasons I may have ever encountered. We were informed that the person who made our reservation FAILED to check the reservation system before confirming our reservation. Had he checked, he would have seen that there were large parties around the same time as our reservation and that deSha's would not be able to accommodate us. I have worked as hostess in the past and cannot understand how an employee fails to check a reservation system before ACCEPTING a reservation for a large party. I am HIGHLY disappointed and will never visit deSha's again. The food may be good but the lack of professionalism is unacceptable.

Bring back old menu! Used to go here routinely once we sampled most of the menu and found our favorites. BRING BACK THE BACON GRAVY! WE won't be going back till the menu is restored. The buttermilk fried chicken used to have a great portion and option for an extra piece, now it 3 chintzy psuedo-strips, no more mashed potatoes and bacon gravy but instead horribly overcooked and glue-like mac and cheese as a side. Thankfully can substitute for very good cheese grits. The quesadilla is fine. The fish is fine. The fried green tomatoes used to be good/ light with a spicy sauce,n but now I can't even taste the tomato for all the goat cheese (and I love goat cheese) piled on it and it's served with a lame pico de gallo. Who came up with that combo? The buffalo shrimp doesn't taste fresh and it's got too much breading. The service frequently takes way too long and it really hit or miss if your server is smiling and competent. I could go on but sadly, not worth the time and money for what you get any longer. Needs an intervention.

We went to de Sha's for the first time in a while and had a relatively disappointing experience. It seems they have changed the menu and reduced portions on things that were on the menu before. The BF loves going to deSha's, because they have prime rib...which is usually what he orders. Previously, there were two sizes of prime rib. The new menu only offers one size of prime rib (we always brought the extras to the dogs.) There was no more side of au jus, it was just drizzled on the plate instead. The mushrooms served with the prime rib consisted of three small mushrooms and one stem...unfortunately, three of the them hit the table as soon as the BF tried to cut the prime rib. Previously, I think it was served with garlic mashed potatoes...mashed potatoes tonight were not garlicky nor were they even very good...or warm. I ordered the salmon on rye sandwich. Previously, this sandwich was served on nice rye bread that was typically larger than the piece of salmon (usually a decent sized piece of salmon.) Tonight, the salmon was served on a rye bun, smaller than the piece of salmon (narrow piece sticking over the edge of the bun). The salmon previously had a mustard aioli (served on the side), but now has a little drizzle of basil mayonnaise (not really any noticeable flavor.) The BF ordered a caesar salad, but it was so overdressed and salty, it was inedible We returned it. We also ordered spinach artichoke dip, which was light on the artichokes and heavy on the salt. I guess in order to save money without raising prices, deSha's has cut the portions and the components of what they serve. It also looked like they were using smaller plates in order to make your meal look larger...unfortunately, it didn't work. It cost us about $50 for our meal (excluding tip and with the salad refunded). Sadly, we will most likely not be back to deSha's, which is a shame considering their proximity to our house.

This place looks nice, and it is usually busy, so I have wanted to eat there for awhile now. I went there for lunch with a group. It is nice inside and the service was great, but for lunch this place isn't as great as it would seem. Maybe the dinner menu is better, but I ordered a french onion soup with chicken salad croissant (subbed wheat bread for the croissant). The soup was like an inch of soup with three inches of melted cheese. It was impossible to eat the soup since it had such an impossible caking of cheese on it. I think if I would have ordered it with no cheese it would have been good. The chicken salad looked good, but it was very bland. Just not good food for the $12+tip it cost. Most of the people I was with ordered the same thing I did, so I didn't get a feel for if it was an off thing. Someone did order the wedge, and it was the white bitter part of the lettuce only, so she didn't like it, and it was absolutely drowned in dressing, it looked gross actually with all that dressing. I will try it one nite for dinner to give it another chance, but based on this experience I would not recommend it. Sorry...I really wanted to like this place, but Eh, there are better options around.

We came here for my grandmother's 85th birthday It started off not too bad. There weren't any tablecloths and the armrests of the chairs were sticky They didn't have enough plates for the bread, and by the time we finally got them, it was time to order dinner. I ordered the Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich, which was on the specials menu. I had heard on a previous review that it was good so I thought I'd try it out. There was live music and we weren't near it but it sounded okay I guess. The food was okay but coulda been better. The prices didn't match the quality I don't think. The pulled pork was a little dry. Since it was for my gma's birthday, I ordered dessert. I got the "Brownie Fix". Described as 'A warm, chocolate fudge brownie, hot fudge, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and pecans' for $6.95. I got it without pecans. It was huge. And awesome. I wasn't able to finish it, but it was undoubtedly the best part of the meal. I give deSha's a 3.5/5

Awful. The WORST restaurant in the burgeoning Tavern Restaurant Group empire (the Pub, Nicholson's, Polo Grille), they somehow found a reason to make more than one of these (Lexington and Maysville om the 'tucky side). We ate here on the way home for Costco one evening and it was like we had been transported into the Twilight Zone of bad food and service. Our waiter appeared a bit stoned as he struggled to keep up with the four tables he had and somehow managed to drag us into the weeds as well. What should have been a short stop on the way home, turned into a 2 1/2 hour affair that left us feeling like they should have paid us for our meal. My head hurts thinking about our experience. The saving grace is the nice outdoor deck, but even that wasn't enough to pull this place outta the ditch. There is a serious management problem at this restaurant - they need to tear it down and rebuild.

We enjoyed Mother's Day 2015 at deSha's. The interior is a bit dated but quite cozy and laid back. We absolutely loved the view of the lake and ducks swimming around. The food was nicely portioned and filled with flavor. We were a party of 6 and tried everything from the prime rib, to jambalaya, to salmon including salads and soups and were not disappointed with any of the selections. The food selection is as expected for a tavern with a slight twist. Customer service was mediocre, but nothing to make us not want to come back. Overall good impression

Stuffed banana peppers good, corn bread very tasty. Had Cuban sandwich which was outstanding. Jhere was our server, she did a great job and made the dinner experience worth the visit. Would definitely go back, hopefully soon. Thanks !

Been to deSha's twice, both with a large group. Once with a group for lunch and also for Easter lunch. Food was delicious. I really enjoyed an open face sandwich with the meat and potatoes and onions. Yum! Staff is friendly and service was prompt. I've been told hit or miss but I've had good experiences both times. Good for groups. Nice enough for a special meal.

The French fries taste like they just came out of an Orida bag undercooked... The prime rib taste like chipped beef on toast .. with still red peppers even after they got me a new sandwich and supposedly took them out.. the food is very substandard... When the starter was better than the main meal.. there is a problem. And the buttermilk fried chicken was chicken strips with hardly any gravy.

I went on date here, and I really like how the dining room we were in is set up. There is a big window opening out to the pond; each row of tables is set on a ever higher level so that no matter where you are, you can turn your head and look out that big window. We got to see ducks munching away on some scraps kids were tossing to them. The food was a bit on the pricier side, but very tasty. The corn bread and brown sugar butter they have was decadent. I definitely would come here again if someone asked me out ;)

I hosted an engagement party for my son and his fiancé tonight at deSha's. Everything was great. Staff was very helpful and food was wonderful. Great place for small parties. We had around 40 in our party and it was nice to have the private bar and patio area.

Been up here a couple of times for happy hour, $4 'premium' mixed drinks, beer and wine. Problem is, premium vodka is (gulp) Smirnoff -- ewww. I'm a Grey Goose or Chopin vodka girl -- with 3 big olives preferable and vermouth wafting lightly over the rim. Okay, so this isn't exactly my vibe for sure. To be fair, the apps are cheap (we like the hot and doughy pretzel bites dipped in sweet or spicy mustard although the flatbreads are mediocre). The waitstaff is incredible -- personable, remembers your name (at least all five coworkers at our table) and will go out of their way to find you a special happy hour drink you actually like. For example, I picked out a pino grigio that was $7.50, instead of $7 (which is the cutoff for the happy hour $4 price) and she graciously fixed it. Nice! Tipped her additionally the difference which is ultimately the way to encourage and reward exemplary servers.

Excellent place for lunch. In the warm weather, you can sit on the patio on the water. Try the salmon salad. It's fresh and delicious.
