Food was good, service was very slow at lunch (we were in the bar in a booth), and I needed to get back to work! The chips and salsa are nothing spectacular. The queso was awesome but I felt extremely guilty eating it, so rich and greasy! I would recommend the chicken tortilla soup. The dinner salad that accompanies the lunch combos is blah, boring! My friend had shrimp tacos which she said were great.

I first experienced Chuy's in Texas, and had forgotten what I was missing. The menu is a bit different than I remembered, but dear lord, the food was incredible. I took a chance on an item from the menu that I normally would have skipped - the Elvis chicken. I cannot remember the last time I tasted something with such unique texture and flavor as that chicken dish. Add onto that that our waitress was a gem and provided us incredible service, how can you go wrong? We had a great first experience, and I plan to sneak back as soon as possible for some more Elvis. Yum.

I have to eat gluten free and usually mexican food is fairly easy to do. I had a difficult time with the server. I initially asked for a gluten free menu (if one was available). The server told me anything could be made gluten free. So I ordered off the menu. After that he came back and brought the "gluten free" menu. There was such a limited selection it was ridiculous. Basically the corn tortillas, guac, and veggies/lettuce. So, I got guac/lettuce in a soft corn tortilla and veggies plain in a soft corn tortilla. I asked for a substitute of side salad since the rice &beans arent gluten free. The server needed extra reminder to bring it out snd when he did there was no dressing or offer of one. I still was charged regular price for this dried out crap of tortillas and guacamole. Never again!

I can't say enough great things about this place! I've been here several times, and each time our group has gotten different things and we have LOVED everything we've tried!! This is an awesome place for kids too!!

The second time around was good. Tried to go at 6pm on a Saturday night; never again because the wait was well over 30 minutes...no way. 4:30 on a Friday worked. Nice free nacho bar; great margaritias. Too large portions (we'll split an entree next time), but the chips and salsa were outstanding. Chile relleno fantastic.

First time at Chuy's for my family, wont be our last. Enjoyed the fajitas for 2 with my wife. Steak was tender, juicy and flavorful and went very well with all the trimmings (hot Re-fried beans and Spanish rice, a complete cold tray consisting of Guacamole, shredded lettuce, diced tomato/salsa and sour cream all arranged in a beautifully colorful presentation), Walked out fully satisfied. Appetizer Salsa and chips were what you would expect from a superior Mexican themed restaurant, chips were warm and crisp, Salsa was loaded with fresh diced chunks of tomato, not too hot but offered some bite. These guys were slammed while we were there but it didn't cause the service to suffer. Server stayed busy and hopping but somehow got 'er done with a pleasant smile ta boot.

Chuys is what it tries to be - basic tex mex with fresh ingredients and a fun atmosphere being its key points of differentiation. I have a hard time giving any tex mex more than 3 stars - simply because the menus and flavors rarely differ. I give this chuys an extra star for he great service at the bar. The ranch jalepeno dip was good. Good place to go for great price/value quotient.

Party of 9 took one and half hour to be seated. Manager did us right and hooked us up with free apps. Service needs to improve all around. Food is really good but service was poor.

Great food and a welcome change from the chain Americanized Mexican restaurants that have been plaguing Cincinnati. Our server Gilberto was fabulous and each of the 4 adult diners loved the food. The kids meals are actually well thought out large portioned kids meals, not an afterthought of frozen nuggets thrown in the microwave.

Went in at 9 pm on Saturday night and sat at the bar. Watched one bartender take down a bar station right in front of me. She never once acknowledged me nor did she bother to look up and say I'll be right with you. She did notice the guy next to me needed a napkin. The other bartender focused on the service bar and stopped next to me to empty out some ice tea pitchers but he didn't ask me if I needed anything. After a few more minutes I decided to leave and go somewhere they wanted my money. Looks like another drone chain has arrived in Cincinnati.

our first experience here was take out as we live two blocks from this location. Food is very average, the enchilada bland at best and the taco very small. rice was hard and dry, the refried beans more of a bland runny paste. Chips were ok, Salsa very spicy but lacking taste. My guess is that most ingredients were frozen rather than fresh. This is a chain and the food tastes that way. Lots of better choices around Cincinnati for Mexican or Tex-mex in my opinion

Good food. I grew up in Texas AND lived in Austin for awhile, and this is authentic. I'm sure some Ohio reviewers won't get it (see below) I have been here twice, and while I enjoy the menu, I see the beginnings of a staff problem. First, the take-out proceedure needs a LOT of work. No one seems quite sure how to direct you. You have to wait by the hostess stand until one of the wait staff comes to take your order. You can't order at the bar. The first week everyone was cheerful and informed. The second, there were 4 kids working the hostess stand and none of them knew what was going on. One of the day managers came out while I was there to admonish them about their drawer being short for the second day in a row. I had been looking forward to Chuy's opening, and I will go back for the food, but please get some trainers in here so the service doesn't start to suffer.

Happy hour is M - F from 4 to 7, and I was pleased to be able to find a seat at the bar on the 2nd day after they first opened in Kenwood. The service was very fast for the drinks and the food, so that's a plus. The bartender was very helpful. However, when I first sat down, I smelled something unpleasant, as if the bar top had just been wiped with a sour rag. I can't stand that smell. Really kills the appetite. I stayed anyway, and reviewed the menu. Not as many choices as traditional Mex places, but decent choices for Tex Mex. None of the servers or bartenders were Mexican. Not sure if they had any in the kitchen. The size and price of the happy hr house margaritas was a little disappointing compared to a few other places I've been, and very weak. $4.25 for a 16 oz glass completely full of ice of course. I really liked the guacamole. Very fresh, and big chunks of avocado and not too much tomato, and not spicy or heavy with cilantro, which is perfect for me. I paid about $9 for a 4" tostada with a few small things pilled on top of it (they called it a chalupa), and a chicken soft taco, which was served a tiny scoop of guac, and no rice or beans. This seems quite expensive to me, compared to other ala carte menus I've seen at traditional Mexican restaurants. The chicken tasted fresh, but the whole meal was nothing spectacular. The decor was very colorful and fun and the place is very loud. Unfortunately, the number of stools at the bar was not numerous, so that means you constantly have servers and customers squeezing in and getting under your elbows, trying to put stuff on the counter and order drinks while you're trying to enjoy your dinner. I hate that. Reminds me of Don Pablos. The only other odd thing, which some people may really like -- instead of bringing chips and salsa to your table or bar location when you sit down, they have a free "nacho bar" during happy hour time Mon - Fri. You have to leave your coveted seat, and go over and stand in line at the nacho bar with other customers to sample it. They had some greasy ground beef, some salsa, and other sauces, and lots of chips. Problem is, the chips are so thin, they break every time you try to dip something, and they got soggy very fast. It's a novel idea, which some people and kids probably like, but I would rather just have thick chips brought to my table, lol.

Usually Yelp reviews don't lead us astray, but we had a bad experience here on 10/12. I was just going to just chalk it up to yet another below average Tex-Mex, but talked to my son who has eaten in the Austin original a couple times and loved it. He's quite critical, so it must be good. It took longer for our order to come out than it did for us to get a table (around 30 minutes). And my wife's order came out cold. Chicken was bland, tortillas tough. We talked to the manager, and they did comp our meals, so I assume they know our experience wasn't up to standard. We may give them another shot, but I'm not sure. There are plenty of other choices.

Yummy! We lived in Austin before coming to Cincinnati so what can I say. The food was terrific. Great service. Just the thing for the SXSW crowd.

  • R. K.

Pretty darn bland. I think this place is no better than Don Pablo, El Rancho Grande or other chain Mexican places. I ordered the spicy sauce and it was really boring... not a bit of spice... and they have nothing on the table for you to add to the really ordinary food. Nice atmosphere, and the staff was pretty good.

Wow, didn't know this was here until I saw a help friend's review! ***Now stop what you're doing and take note, unlimited FREE nacho car (chips, salsa, queso, taco meat etc) during happy hour along with super yummy big strawberry margaritas for under $5.*** Back to actual review... I'm shocked to have loved a chain TeX Mex place so much, I'm pretty loyal to the local and authentic. The atmosphere is fun and funky. After stuffing myself with all those scrumptious nachos, I ordered the chuychanga, their version of the chimichanga. Here's another snob alert, I try these everywhere, and they are rarely done right. Chimis are usually soggy or over fried. Here. It. was. PERFECT. The sauce came on the side instead of poured over the top. Chicken filling was tender, not dried out, and loved the cilantro flavor. Chili rice and beans on the side were good. The bf had Elvis fried chicken which he didn't really like. I tested, and felt it was just overdone (potato chip coating seemed burnt). He still liked place overall too.

Summary: This place has a lot of personality, and a lot of food. Truth be told, the nacho bar brings me to Chuy's. The food is exactly what you might expect from Tex-Mex. Inconsistency with food keeps it from scoring higher in my book, but does not keep me from coming back! I've had birthdays, celebrations, and parties at Chuy's, and it's probably because of the nacho bar. I find myself ordering an entree even though I know I'd never finish it, probably because of the nacho bar. Even if you don't believe in Tex-Mex food, you can probably come to Chuy's for the nacho bar (and a beer). The number of toppings in the nacho bar is what makes it great. You have your crispy light chips, cheese, salsa, meat, etc - can't go wrong there. About half the ingredients that may be on some entrees can be found in the nacho bar. This means two things - first, you can get full off the nacho bar; second, it's makes the entree a little underwhelming when it comes out. The entrees are big. I find myself getting the fajita plates a lot because of some misguided belief that I should try to get best bang-for-buck despite already being 90% full by the time the plate shows up. When next day's lunch finally shows up, I get a mixed reaction. I've gotten dry chicken before. I've had more luck with the beef, but still, consistency is not great. Service is generally friendly and getting a table is never a problem at around 5PM. However, sometimes food gets a little cold by the time they wait for a full table's food to arrive. I've also had 2 experiences where the order was mixed up. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fun, and if all else fails, remember there's a nacho bar...

All around bad service, from the moment we walked in the door and the hostess ignored us for a good five minutes. It was a Wednesday night so they weren't too busy but like my husband said, not one person working there had a smile on their face. It was like they would have rather been anywhere else. The margarita I ordered was good. As well as the chicken quesadilla (although it looked more like soft tacos). My husband said his steak fajitas were OK. Doubt we will be going back due to the poor service which is unfortunate as we live in the area and are always looking for new places.

Food is always great. I get the same thing every time and it's always just as good as the last time. The service, however?..."Meh" at best, every time, which is disappointing. I've met maybe three or four employees who DIDN'T look like they wanted to burn this place to the ground. I'm not sure if this is just because this place is constantly busy (which it is, and deservedly so, because the food) or if the people running this establishment maybe aren't making their employees happy. I've worked in food service for many years and it's important that employees are happy, as it reflects poorly on the business. Also because they're people and should be treated like people, not money-making machines. Come for the food, stay for the food.

I had the privilege of trying this place out while out in the city for a baseball game; I'm glad my cousin picked this place! I wish I remembered our servers name, but he was amazing. A lot of personality, and didn't seem phased at all, and got a few giggles out of our playful banter and creative comments, of which some may misinterpret as inappropriate. Drinks were rapidly served, and bills were divided accordingly. I've found many places when visiting with a party of 7 or more... Bills can get messed up. The Elvis platter, combo, dish, paten... Shit, I don't remember what it was called other than it had Elvis in the name. Was good as well as more than enough to feed one. I'll definitely be keeping this place in mind while visiting the area!

I'll keep this short and simple: If you love hefty portions and Tex Mex is something you grew up on, take my review with a grain of salt... I don't believe Tex Mex food, in general, agrees with me. But I do want to say that I was disappointed by the quality of the food. After we fed ourselves a ton of chips and salsa while waiting for the last friend in our party to arrive, one of my friends and I were almost full. On chips. So we decided to split the Appetizer Sampler. It took half a century for the food to come out. Seemed like they were quite busy on a Saturday for dinner (we did wait a bit before being seated). Everything on the sampler plate was dry, lukewarm, and did not look the least bit appetizing. The nachos tasted like paper. It was a huge plate--good enough to feed two people who didn't stuff their faces on chips beforehand. We tried a bit of everything on the plate and kind of just pushed it aside. My Texas friend who grew up with Chuy's and whose birthday we were celebrating here ordered one of the fajitas. Holy smokes, it came out sizzling from the kitchen and every head turned to stare at it. Obviously this is what we all should have ordered. Good to know if I come here again for a birthday dinner. It does seem to be the place for big parties though. While we ate, a group of 10 children (and their harassed-looking mother) paraded in to claim their long-awaited table.

Went to Chuy's on a Monday afternoon lunch date with the bf. There was literally nobody else there when we arrived so we were quickly seated in the tackiest dining room I've ever seen. The palm trees and decor were just not a good look to me. Our server was friendly and since it was our first time he made a few suggestions on their more popular items. He even brought out a sample of their creamy jalepeno sauce for us to try so that we could decide what we wanted. I stupidly did not order one of the servers suggested items and instead had a chalupa and enchilada. My bf ordered queso and we proceeded to destroy the basket of chips we were brought which were very good. My chalupa and enchilada were not. I ended up sending it back and opted for a beef taco which wasn't that great either. My boyfriend did like his Chicka Chicka Boom Boom though it still wasn't that great to me. Overall, I probably won't be back with there being so many other Mexican/Tex-Mex places in town but at least I can say I've tried it.

I feel compelled to update my review. I'm lowering the score 1 star because me and several of my YELP friends are experiencing poor service on the weekends. I can sympathize with waiting in that long line at Chuy's on the weekends. It does prove that Chuy's is becoming much more popular; however, service response must get better. I visited Saturday night and waited 1 hour in line and 1 hour for food. To make matters worse, the party seated after me was served first. We did not get any free desserts and the waiter looked at us like we were a burden or hassle. I will tell you however, if your order is wrong, ask that they fix it. If the weekend or dinner experience is not for you, the food tastes better during the lunch hours and you get much better service. I would personally ask you to sit in the bar area where Jim is the bartender / server. He is quick and your food comes much faster with him as your waiter. He personally waits on you and goes back to the Kitchen to find out where your food is (in line). I'm still a big fan! The free nacho bar M-F 4-7pm is a winner for me. My children love that they can all have different dips: queso, queso with beef, salsa and creamy. I love the free queso. My favorites are the Southwestern, Elvis Combo, Thursday special and Weekend Macho burrito. I also love the steak burrito, custom enchiladas with creamy and hatch green chile and basket of nachos with fresca salsa and creamy jalapeno. Again, I advise you visit during lunch or weekdays. Be cautious about weekends as this place is roaring with customers.

Went there on a Friday night with family and the wait wasn't that bad. I don't have anything too horrible to report, but I don't have anything amazing to say about it either. The food was nothing special, but they did have a nice salsa bar and our server was friendly. We walked out smelling like horrible Mexican food for at least a week...the smell wouldn't go away - which was gross. We won't be back, as we feel that there wasn't anything amazing that would make us go back...especially when there are better Mexican places to choose from that are close by.

Awesome! We have a taste of Texas here in Cincy. I've been to Chuy's in Austin many times and happy to report this location feels like the original. Beware on weekend nights, as it gets super busy and wait times can easily be 30+ minutes. Pro Tip: Skip the wait and check out seats in the bar where its first come first serve. My wife and I walked into a packed lobby but looked in the bart and found an open booth (yes booth) in less than 2 minutes. The steak burrito will blow you away - its a must-try. Spicy beef and saucy goodness in just the right quantity left me very satisfied...and only $11 bucks. My wife had the chicky-boom-boom enchilada - very savory and tasty. We did have one complaint....the frozen margaritas are a too sweet and frankly, a bit light on tequila. Great food at decent prices in a fun atmosphere is an all-around win.

I ate here for the first time, with a large group with a reservation on a Tuesday night. I loved the decor, the ceiling with the hubcaps on it was unique! Our waiter Elliott did a great job serving 27 women with separate checks!! The chips & salsa & cheese dips were good, my quesadilla was OK - not much in it. Served with very small amount of guacamole. My Margarita seemed to be all ice and no alcohol. The restroom was clean and the restaurant seemed clean too.

I love the atmosphere of this place, first off, because it is so eclectic and is the cross between a cantina and a diner. It's so colorful and fun, and is definitely family-friendly. The food here was alright to me. The housemade chips and salsa, however, were delicious and very addicting. I ordered the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, which was a chicken enchilada with a cheesy sauce and it came with refried beans and cilantro rice. Overall, the food was very salty. It was not bad, but it wasn't anything I would want to come back for. I did really like the cilantro rice though, which I ate all up. Overall, it's a decent Mexican-American restaurant that would be good to go with a group to, but nothing about it was very memorable.

  • Zack F.

It's loud in noise and decoration. Kind of like the Friday's of Mexican food. It promises a lot, but seems to fall short for me. I find it to be rather forgettable and it sinks into the background of chain Mexican blah for me. It might be a notch above the typical El Rio Ranche Grande whatever type place that slops pre-made, warmed up, non-descript food onto your plate. I was hoping this would elevate itself at least on the margarita front, but I was let down. Strangely when I was at a Chuy's in Texas, I actually enjoyed the food and experience. I guess it just doesn't translate well to Cincinnati, or the bar for Mexican food is much lower here.

  • Maddie R.

Three words: Free. Nacho. Bar. Well, they know how to get me in the door. It runs during their happy hour from 4-7 M-F which explains why it was so busy!! We feasted so much on that taco bar that I could only muster down the tortilla soup which was just mediocre in my book. They also had some pretty sweet Margaritas (literally and in my humble opinion). Choose from strawberry, mango or your traditional lime. They are small enough that you can easily have two in one sitting . I will definitely be back. Mostly because the jalepeno ranch was so interesting! Yum yum yum!

  • Tama D.

Very good food, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Loved the queso & chips! The salsa tastes like they just diced the tomatoes and made it. Last time I ordered fajitas, but I felt they lacked something, hence the 4 star review. Otherwise if you are looking for Mexican food with a fresh flavor, this is the place to go!

Really really really poor dining experience. It was a Sunday night, we expected a wait, 2 of us went ahead my daughters family came after they told us 25 minutes, we. Decided okay we will wait 25 minutes. However we waited 55 minutes we were told more than once in life you are the next party party after party after party Be seated we know there were seven and the other groups were smaller, however someone needs to have some idea of how long a wait would be. Now the food - extremely salty. Nothing special, one order came out wrong, it was fixed, more waiting. We were given free appetizers that we really did not need or want. Needless to say, just so many other choices I don't think we will be back.

Basic mexican with a elvis theme in decoration. They also have palm trees. Food came out quickly. Service was good. Light chips served. Ask for free sauces. No complaints on taste.

Having had some experience with Chuy's in Texas, we were excited about its opening here in SW Ohio, mainly because of the largely dreadful collection of combo-plate Mexican and Tex-Mex-style restaurants around the area. But we didn't get there until recently because we kept hearing about the massive crowds. Once upon a time, I went to the original Chuy's in Austin. I wish I could remember more about it, but I was young and dumb--and, yeah, very drunk--at the time. But I do remember quite a bit more about the River Oaks location in Houston, a city where, quite a few years later, we were Katrina refugees for a few months: It sure wasn't the best Tex-Mex in the city, but it was a great option for the price. This Cincinnati-area location is, too. In comparison to most of its combo-plate and Tex-Mex-style competitors, Chuy's raises the bar a couple of notches: house-made tortillas, chunkier charro-style beans with some punch (a nice change from the usual pallid refried beans), a fresh-tasting salsa that easily eclipses the barely-more-than-ketchup with minced onions that passes for salsa at too many of its competitors, etc. The pork in my pork tacos was tender and flavorful and came out piping hot. (Guacamole, however, was a big bland dud; it needs a lot more citrus and garlic.) One of the best things about Chuy's that allows me to forgive it for its few shortcomings is the prices: My massive pork tacos plate was only $8.50. That's a buck or two cheaper than most of its local counterparts. Service on this first occasion was excellent. Don't get distracted by the kitschy surroundings (which, in my opinion, is a refreshing change from the cheesy ranchero-style decor at too many combo-plate Mexican joints around town). More so than about any other place in town, this is real-deal Tex-Mex, with the accent on the gringo-side "Tex" of that bastardized cuisine.

Love Chuys! We have a group that gets together every Tuesday. Free Queso Bar every week night 4-7 pm. Susie Goo is no longer on the menu but you can still order it. Mexican rice with the fajita chicken drizzled in Queso. Ask for Lorena or Elliott! Fantastic service!

Came for the first time with my family, my brother lives in Nashville and goes to the one there all the time, so he convinced us to go. The chips and salsa were pretty good, salsa had a little kick, which I like. I got the chicken fajitas and they were very good, couldn't eat them all. My husband got the steak burrito and he said it was amazing and one of the best burritos he has ever had! My 9 year old got the kids burrito which was enormous and he barely ate half of it! I have definitely had better Mexican in the Cincinnati are but I do like the atmosphere of Chuy's and we will be back!

  • Belinda V.

I've been to Chuy's several times now and it's always been a good experience! My absolute favorite dishes are the Mexi-cobb salad with the jalapeno ranch dressing and the chicka chicka boom boom! Their margaritas have been good so far! I've tried the traditional margarita and the strawberry. Both quite tasty. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. I'm indifferent about the bright and crazy decor, it's not my style. Although, I can appreciate any business that brings Elvis Presley into the picture. The only negative (for me) was the wait staff always offers queso. Either I missed it on the price list or it's simply not listed, but the queso was more expensive than I expected.

We went on a Saturday for lunch and it was packed. Our group was about 30 and the service was very good. We called ahead so Chuy's was ready. I'm from SoCal so am called a Mexican food snob. Considering that, Chuy's was A-OK for me. I like the interior decorations. They are fun but not overwhelming.

  • Anjelica N.

Your average tex-mex offerings are here.... BUT you can watch them hand make blue corn tortillas and their queso isn't that weird white stuff that congeals when it sits out too long. Also, Chuy's has a vibrant atmosphere. Loud and bright colors gives the restaurant a more fun environment than your other typical tex-mex places.

Wonderful food and margaritas. Watch the tortillas be made and get some dough for the kids to play with

  • William K.

Damn good Tex-Mex chain. Fantastic margaritas. The bar is plastered with pictures of dogs. They have an Elvis shrine. Free nacho bar during happy hour is awesome. Fresh ingredients. The only issue I had was the Hatch sauce. I love heat. Love it. Heat without flavor though is just silly and that's what the house sauce is, flavorless hot sauce. Everything else is fantastic though. Great service and food. Little bit crowded due to the popularity but worth a visit. I'll be back. Again, can't say enough about the house margarita.

Great basic tex mex food, love that there is a nacho bar happy hour and that kids can make their own tortilla. Only complaint is that the service is a little sub par.

So much family fun here. Great food & service. Lego scavenger hunt for the kids, live tortilla making station. 4-7 Mon-Fri free Nacho Bar that is SO fresh & hot. Elvis events. August is Pepper Fest & this location's anniversary! You have to try it next time you are in Kenwood.

I recently discovered this place existed and couldn't wait to try it. Color me satisfied; the food was great. It may be a chain, but it's one of the best of this type cuisine I've been to. The menu has a large variety of items to choose from and the prices are reasonable. I ordered veggie enchiladas. They were so good! The had diced grilled veggies inside, the sauce was not overwhelming in the amount (it definitely had a kick to it) and they were not swimming in cheese. (I love enchiladas, because I prefer the corn tortillas to flour tortillas) In your typical Mexican places around town the enchiladas are usually swimming in congealed white cheese--not a fan--but Chuy's enchiladas tasted fresh and light with only a small amount of cheese. The beans and rice that came with them were also very good. The BF ordered some chicken enchiladas and enjoyed them as well. We both liked the chips, which were light and the salsa, which was very spicy. The decor of the place is pretty colorful and kitschy. The restaurant is large and has a big bar area. I must say, that Chuy's is a huge improvement over the pizza place that was formerly in this location.

Had lunch there yesterday with one of my favorite clients, Matt Heaton, owner of Zounds Hearing in Montgomery. We both had the burrito, me with refried beans and chicken, Matt with ground beef. It is served with a side of rice and is really delicious, but huge. We really could have split and been more than full. I like several things about this restaurant - first, the location is great...on the corner of Hosbrook and Montgomery with lots of parking; second - the chips are light and crispy (you will find them disappearing way too fast), third - you get a choice of sauces, from mild to spicy. I picked the spicy and it was perfect. Next time I go, I will try the guacamole, which is my litmus test for Mexican restaurants. This is a fun place, not fancy, but great quality for the price. Our server, Chelsea, was friendly and efficient.

The atmosphere is fun, the food is of good quality and the portions are large. I've been to the original in Austin and this compares favorably. The Elvis Presley memorial is a good sampler. Be careful not to fill-up on chips & salsa. Expect a wait on Friday and Saturday nights and enjoy the funky decor. Great atmosphere for groups.

I had heard Chuy's advertised and was looking forward to trying it, but the husband tends to be resistant to Mexican restaurants, so it took some convincing to finally get him to agree to go. We had a little bit of a wait, but we had had to park clear across the parking lot, so at this point, we were determined to just stick around. Parking is not great here around dinnertime. They have a designated lot, but it is limited, and most of the nearby areas have signs indicating you can't park there. There were a fair amount of vegetarian options that were clearly noted. I ended up with the quesasillas - spicier than average - and the husband had the Vegetarian Combo. I thought the food was very flavorful and tasty but everything was definitely on the spicy side. Our server didn't explain about the free queso or anything, but I had thought I'd heard mention of this in an ad and I saw people going up behind us and coming back with bowls. So, we checked it out, and the free queso definitely made this visit a win for me. Gotta love free cheese! ;-) Would have been helpful if he'd shared that information upfront though. Good margaritas, too!

Full disclosure: I went to college in Austin, TX so Chuy's is a big part of my cultural food identity. So I may be a little biased when I say that they are THE BEST Tex-Mex restaurant in Cincinnati (hands down). First of all, this restaurant is legit. If you are in Austin, and you go to Chuy's, this place has like an hour long wait all the time. It is crazy popular. And the one here, for some inexplicable reason, is relatively undiscovered so you can just walk right in and get a table! The atmosphere is so "Austin-y" and by that I mean that they stay true to their roots and keep it weird on the inside...bright colors, funny artwork, etc. The guacamole is no joke and the tortilla chips are crunchy, light, and not greasy like most chips are at Mexican restaurants in Cincinnati. I always get enchiladas, but honestly I've never had anything bad here. My best advice is to make sure you order a Shiner beer with your lunch or dinner so you get the full Austin, TX experience!

  • Hello It's M.

We've been here on several occasions. We travel a long way to come to Chuys but it's all worth it. Food is constantly fresh. My goal is to try everything on the menu. Please check out this spot, great atmosphere for families, and reasonable prices. Only thing I will miss out on is the guacamole, due to allergies.

Best white people Mexican food. You won't see any Mexicans in here (except for me) as this is not an authentic Mexican restaurant in any way shape or form. However, it is damn good and there are a couple really sweet things about it. For Juan, they make their own tortillas and salsa from scratch. Not even the most authentic Mexican restaurants do that. Their service is also very fast, we usually never have to wait to be seated and our food is out in less than 10 minutes. Definitely Juan of the best white people Mexican restaurants out there.

WORST MEXICAN FOOD EVER. This place is clearly a gimmick, it is designed so that little kids will enjoy the decorations thus parents will be forced to go there if they want to eat Mexican and they will spend way more than they would anywhere else and eat a meal that is on a quality level of a microwave dinner. The food is way over salted to mask the lack of flavor and the fact it is all pre made and reheated. This is also the first Mexican restaurant that I have ever eaten at that has had bad salsa. It is almost like they wanted to make it look fancy but in doing so they sacrificed taste.

I had the Baja Fish Tacos today and they were out of this world! The fish filled the tortilla instead of being full of fill! I will order them again!

Great food and pretty good service. Not much of a wait on a Saturday night at 6:00, which was nice with two kids. Loved the margaritas! We'll definitely go here again!

Good food and good portion size although after a while it does get a bit too salty for me. Great chips and salsa.

Let me start by saying that the decor is eclectic, fun, and inviting. We found Chuy while out looking for a different restaurant and stumbled across this location on our way to Chipotle. Although I've read a few post that was highly critical of the service during the weekend, my experience was not as bad. I will say that the place is pretty packed, indicative of the quality of food that Chuy offers. Now for the food, the free salsa and creamy jalapeño was freaking awesome! We ate an entire basket of free chips and salsa! The waiter was not as fast as we would have liked but still a good server nonetheless. I ordered the #4 Relleno and Enchilada. The food was hot and tasty. I would recommend that you try the southwestern enchilada with green chile sauce; the chicken was seasoned well and combined well with the corn tortilla. The Chicken Relleno was good but I'm not a fan of the pepper inside, the fried coating was tasty! The typical refried beans and rice accompanied the meal. All in all, this is a great place and priced really well!

OMG I am SO full right now. How am I going to walk out of here? The food is pretty darn good. I love their chips and salsa. The waitress is so cute... she's in back dancing with a coworker to the upbeat music. She also made sure we were taken care of. I'M SO FAT I can't move! HELP!!!

Went to dinner here on my birthday after hearing a lot of good things about the place. Overall the food was better than many of the local chains. It tasted like they use a higher quality of ingredients-from the homemade salsa to the actual meat fillings. The chips seem homemade-nothing special. Homemade tortillas were excellent. Portions were very good. We were all stuffed when we left. Had the house margarita. If you don't know what a "real" margarita is and are only used to the local chains servings-you will be greatly disappointed. I thought the margarita was very good. Not heavy on flavoring like you find locally. Sweet and made with real lime juice. The disappointment of the night was the service. We showed up at 6:45 on a Tuesday night. It was not really crowded-plenty of tables available. For the record, I didn't see any Mexicans working here-as also pointed out by other posters (See Marco O. on 10/28/14). That tells me something. Waited a good 10 minutes for a drink. Half our food came out at one time, the other half 5 minutes later. Our waitress disappeared on several occasions and the bartender had 3 people seated at the bar-yet it took forever to get a drink! Go figure. Nobody made an attempt to fix the situation. I can only imagine what it's like on a busy night. I would have given the place 4-5 stars except for the service. Will go back and give it another try due to the quality of the foods.

If you're looking for good food, don't go here! I've been to many Mexican restaurants before, this one by far was the worst. The dining area is cluttered with huge fake Palm trees, old hubcaps hang by the hundred, nothing but tacky dust collectors. And why does an Elvis tomb belong here? The food sucked! Dry over cooked chicken buried in a rubbery tortilla and saturated with an overwhelming amount of jalapeño. I like spicy and hot food, but this was ridiculous!

  • Dan B.

Good was delicious. The service was fast and friendly, and the server was very attentive. This was our first time to chuys and we will definitely return. I had the chicken chit hangs and my wife had the combo appetizer. Great presentation and a lot of food. All the right temperature and great taste. The only disappointment was the $10 margarita. A lot of money for a smallish margarita. It tasted good but was over priced.

I am from South Texas and love Mexican and Tex Mex Food. When in Austin, TX, Chuy's was always my first choice in Tex Mex. They make the BEST Chili Relleno--just like my grandma makes! I ate at the Cincy location and it is just as good as their food at the original Austin, TX location--I am so excited that they are opening a location closer to me in Dayton (Austin's Landing). FINALLY, a truly authentic Tex Mex restaurant that doesn't pour all that nasty white canned cheese sauce all over their dishes, use fresh made salsa, fresh lime in their margarita's, fresh homemade tortillas--hmmm this restaurant is awesome!

  • Ben D.

Okay, the wait was about 45 minutes, which isn't the end of the world, but honestly, it's just tex-mex people! It's good, but not necessarily worth the 45 minute wait. The parking lot was also packed, which complicated things. They had no draft beer, which I found disappointing. My wife liked her margarita (it was one of the fancier ones, not the cheapest). Our server was socially awkward, and had the unfortunate distinction of being present when not needed, and absent when needed. I suspect that this may not be her calling in life. However, the food was tasty. I had a burrito that was huge (enough that I took half home for dinner). My wife had some kind of boom-boom chicken enchiladas. She liked them, but it was VERY spicy. She ate it all though. I got one of the more normal sauces on my burrito and it was tasty.

It doesn't get much better than Chuy's. Everything I have ever gotten here is delicious! Definitely ask for the spicy jalapeño dip along with the complimentary chips and salsa (this dip is complimentary also)!

  • Matthew R.

Love everything about this place. Finally some really good southwestern food in this city. Real change of pace from all of the shit Mexican joints that can't even hold a candle to Taco Bell. Have yet to not like something off Chuys menu.

    (5)
  • Sharon H.

I am giving it 3 stars only because the service was so good. The food was lackluster even for a chain restaurant. The guacamole had zero taste and had the consistency of paste. Don't waste your money.

  • Alex W.

Chips and salsa good Had the con queso dip was good as well Stuffed enchilada was very bland and had no taste. I would not recommend to anyone. Wife had the chicken tacos. She said they were ok, just a soft shell, a piece of chicken and lettuce. Place was very busy which gave us hope but overall very disappointed. There are better Mexican restaurants in town. This was our first trip to Chuys and probably out last.

It's hard for me to write a review of Chuy's without mentioning the rise and fall of Don Pablo's. Don Pablo's wasn't a terrible concept but my god, the food was horrendous. Doesn't it seem like it'd be hard to mess up tortillas+meat+cheese? Well Don Pablo's mucked it up with world-class ease. So I'm hopeful for Chuy's. The food is mostly made in-house and from scratch. A freshly made tortilla makes a big difference when you just have three components (tortilla+meat+cheese). There isn't much "true" Tex-Mex in Cincinnati. And by "true" Tex-Mex I'm not sure what I mean except that this chain is based in Texas and it's not purely Mexican food. But whatever, I liked Chuy's and their fresh food. I don't have any menu recommendations because everything is the same iteration of the 3 previously mentioned components. I will issue a caution to cilantro haters out there. It's in almost everything. Except the hatch chile sauce which was delicious.

Terrible service, EXPENSIVE margarita's and over priced food. We went on a Sunday night to celebrate my birthday and the staff knew it was my birthday but the waiter barely even spoke three words the whole night other then to ask what we waned to eat. If you are going to have a weekly happy hour why don't extend to Saturday and Sundays too - at least you're not paying $9.00 for a drink! Very very disappointed and we won't be going back.

    (1)
  • Michael C.

If you're desiring one of the most expensive margarita's in town, visit Chuy's. Come on, $9.25 for a regular drink? The food is typical, large portions, but really tasteless. And on this night, the service was terrible. There are too many smaller, non-franchise mexican restaurants around town to waste your money at this Kenwood location.

Everyone kept telling I had to try this place. Well, I finally went and so glad I did. With my experience with Mexican culture and from my friends who have a Mexican origin and have cooked authentic dishes, this place is pretty authentic. My own opinion, Mexican food is about freshness and flavor, not spiciness. Chuy's is all about freshness. And with freshness of produce, the flavors are phenomenal. The salsa did have a good kick in it and very very fresh. I was very impressed! My friend ordered the enchilada and I ordered a steak burrito. Both were so good (I took a bite from my friend's enchilada '-) he he) it was really tasty and again... FRESH!! We also ordered a couple drinks and they were very tasty. I was told that I HAD to get a margarita, so of course I did and was good. I usually hate margaritas because it was too bitter from the mix or the crappy salt. This one was mixed very well and had to get another one. I believe we got the Perfect Margarita, an appropriate name. Plus, I ordered a sangria and was tasty too. Shoot, everything was tasty!! lol I definitely have to come back! The staff was good. No complaints.

They went out of their way for me and my allergy to cilantro. All I did was ask if their guacamole had cilantro in it and 5 mins later I had my own bowl of it cilantro free! Now that is customer service.

I think this is my new favorite restaurant. I first went here in December and I couldn't believe how amazing everything was. I've taken everyone in my family and all my friends here. Their guacamole, salsa, and white jalepeño sauce is seriously to die for. Makes the whole entire meal that much better. I've always had great service here and they also give you frequent diner cards where if you buy an entree, you get it stamped and by the time you eat 5, you get a free one! It's a great marketing strategy! I've had the quesadillas, and the tacos, and the "Big as yo face" burrito, and they're all great. Definitely recommend!

Wow the margaritas, chips & guac, salsa, queso & jalapeno ranch sauce are amazing. I attended the Chuy's Cincinnati preview event on July 10th, there was a huge crowd in a tent to the side of the restaurant as final renovations are in progress and this place will be hopping when they officially open to the public on August 20th. All of their food is made from scratch daily, tortillas, chips, salsa, guacamole. I went back for three servings of guacamole at this event, it was that good! Chuy's is a chain out out Austin, Texas and very involved with the community. They already have events scheduled with Circle Tail and a few more non-profits prior to the grand opening. This will be my go to Mexican restaurant in the Kenwood/Madeira area.

We came here last week for lunch. The food at Chuy's is good, it is one of the more decent mexican restaurants in Cincinnati. However, we had horrible service during this visit at Chuy's. I think we saw our server 2 times throughout the experience. Luckily the lady who brought our food was able to grab the napkins, refills, and extra items we needed. We should have tipped her instead!

We went when it was national margarita day, and that was mistake #1. It is a big mexican restaurant, yet it was so packed that our group had to split up and evidentally didnt take reservations. When we did actually get food. It was just ok.And I thought that it was weird that they didnt have any white cheese. Everybody has white cheese??? It wasnt very memorable, although the decor definitely is! It has dogs doing all sorts of things. From working out as people to doing regular jobs and real pics of real dogs. The whole experience was a trip I couldve missed. It was my first time there, so I am glad that I went to say that i have gone. I plan on visiting every restaurant in Cincy, so check this one off my list.

Tonight we came in to have dinner with friends and their kids at 6 p.m. Chuy's is pretty much the same aesthetically from place to place (I have been in Nashville too) - it is what it is - a Mexican food chain. But, I must say that this location is a bit nicer and brighter inside. Eric was our server and he was great - helpful, accurate, helped make recommendations, and helped us benefit from the 'happy hour' and free queso! The food was really good and the kitchen was fast. The server really did a great job, especially for a big group. My only complaint was the hostess (Reagan) gave some attitude when we told her we had a party of 8 people and slapped menus down and gave a look. Later when we asked her for a spoon, she said we would need to ask our waiter...? What? Not really the kind of service we experienced with the rest of the staff - so, I wouldn't judge it on one employee. Likely, one off. Everyone enjoyed their meal, including half-priced margaritas, and pretty tasty queso. If you go, ask for Eric (great server) and go at happy hour - good stuff happens then and makes the experience more affordable.

This is first time I've been to the Chuy's in Cincinnati, and it was great! The food - while not the best I've ever had - wasn't bad at all. I really like the queso and guacamole. What really wowed us was our server. She was so outgoing and friendly! She completely made our Chuy's experience great. There are very few times that you have a server that really makes such a positive impact on your dining experience, and both Chuy's I've been to (Cincinnati and Nashville) I've had servers that were some of the best I've ever had. Chuy's is DEFINITELY doing something right when it comes to hiring. Keep up the good work!

At first I was a bit disgruntled for the service, but then I just sort of felt sorry for them. We had a big group and they decided to only let one server for our group. Not a great decision by management. So, service was slow. No one had water and when asked we were given pitchers and glasses to distribute ourselves. The food was good. Typical Mexican in an typical Mexican restaurant.

    (3)
  • Ryan Z.

Blah. Nothing special about this place or its food. It looks like the typical tourist trap, overly decorated in all directions but lacking any creativity when it comes to separating yourself from every other tex-mex dump. Go here if you like bright colored walls and drinks and don't really need to eat more than (store bought) chips and salsa.

    (2)
  • Dirk K.

Nothing like the chuys in Texas. Went there this evening, they don't have Mexican martinis, we kept running out of chips and salsa, took them 45 minutes to just take our food order, then they messed up the food order and never fixed it, and the waitress didn't bring me my change when I paid my bill. If you can't run a Texas restaurant in Ohio, then don't open them here.

    (1)
  • Todd L.

Cincinnati lacks really good Mexican in my opinion. There are a few good places, but not many. Tex-me can be an enjoyable treat. This place was probably really good before it became a chain. Chain restaurants = Junk! The margaritas were actually decent as was the chips and salsa. The food is just ugh. Don't waste your money here.

Quick service and the best Mexican food at cheap prices. Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom, Stacked Enchiladas and the Fish Tacos are our favorites.

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had in my life. We had a very awesome and fast waiter. The decorating and theme of this restaurant makes it a total package for date night. Their chips are thin and crispy just the way I like them. I got the Chicka Chicka boom boom and my wife got the chicken fajitas and neither one of us were disappointed. In fact, the sauce on my Chicka Chicka boom boom was the best sauce I've ever had in any Mexican restaurant, and we eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants!

  • Lizy L.

The single worst and most disappointing Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. I'm hesitant to even give it two stars. We only stayed enough for a margarita and chips. The women's restroom literally smelled like feces had been spread all over the place. The margaritas tasted like cheap margarita mix. We were surrounded by screaming children who kept slamming into our chairs. The service was extremely slow; it took a good half an hour to get checked up on. When we said we wanted to pay and leave the waiter kept trying to get us to stay and buy more. I will not be coming back.

I heard rumors of Chuy's arriving and I was thrilled. When I lived in Austin, I frequented the original Chuy's often as it was a short drive from work. I have been three times now and have had three different dishes. The service was at least pleasant each time ranging from surprisingly fast to "I wonder if they forgot to submit our order." If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is not the place nor does it espouse to be. It is Tex-Mex and in many ways, quintessentially so. Sauces are delicious, the chikka-chikka boom boom is delicious, the fajitas are good. The third time, we tried the Southwest Enchilada - not my favorite. This place is certainly worth a try if you want some Texas styled Mexican food. I recommend you split a dish, they are huge. My wife loved the Strawberry-Mango Frozen Margarita while I stuck to Dos Equis and Shiner Bock. A little taste of the good part of Texas. Thanks, Chuy's.

My favorite place to eat that's close to home. Make sure to order the creamy jalapeño dip to go with your chips. It is to die for! The steak burrito with tomatillo sauce is amazing. The wait staff is refreshingly nice and knowledgable about the menu. A very colorful and lively atmosphere. My only complaint is the wait time is usually at least an hour to get a table. It's very much worth the wait if you're in the mood for it though. :)

I went to Chuy's with a friend this past Friday evening around 6pm. The wait was about 30 minutes. Despite the large crowd waiting there was plenty of waiting room, plenty of places to sit down and drinks offered during the wait. The atmosphere is upbeat and the service was excellent. We went during happy hour and was surprised to find out there was free queso for their awesome tortilla chips. Seriously the best chips and salsa I have ever had. I crave it. The food, overall, is good too. I enjoyed something new this time - the chicken flautas. The sauce was perfect and the shells fresh. I find that the entire experience itself is what keeps the smile on my face on my way out the door and keeps me wanting to come back for more.

My thoughts visiting in the first week it was open - food- I come from Southern California, so I enjoy real Mexican food. This is the best Mexican food in Cincy that I have had. I had the chicken enchilada, which had a delicious deep pepper flavor that was adequately hot and had the complete Mexican flavor. - staff - wait staff was a bit spotty. While friendly and nice, we saw confusion, dropped plates, and strange reactions to the food... As though they were not really feeling the spicy nature of the food. - drinks - my wife loved the sugary Sangria - decore was really fun and worth a visit just to see the various themes. Love the Elvis and the Matador sections. I have a new go to place

Been here couple of times with my colleagues for lunch. Everything about this place is great. The service is pretty good and everyone there is very friendly. Their free chips are too good and they are regularly refilled by the waitress. The food is simply superb and must eat place for tex-mex food lovers. I can't wait to go back there again !!

This Texan is SO excited that a Chuy's has made it to Ohio. I went to the VIP training dinner on 8/19, and received fantastic service. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving for our reservation time, and had very friendly, knowledgable wait staff. They were busy - like a typical "Friday night-busy" in a popular restaurant, but despite that, the food came in a timely manner. Chips & salsa were great, the queso was amazing, and our table loved the Creamy Jalepeno dip, as always. Chips were fresh and thin/crispy. Food arrived hot and seasoned perfectly. Nothing I have eaten at a Chuy's has been bad - and this restaurant is already living up to that reputation. Super fresh tortillas, Happy hour margarita was tasty, everything was just so good. Can't wait to go back. Only thing I would change is the parking - not enough space for a crowded restaurant. I heard they might do Valet? That would be really great, and worth it!

My new go-to place for Mexican in Cincinnati! I have been twice, and the service and food, and atmosphere were exceptional. A great, not too big, Tex-Mex menu, and the decor of a roadside joint. Even for a chain, it's great quality and I haven't had to wait long. Beware on parking, it's fairly limited and there are signs prohibiting Chuy's guests from parking at adjacent businesses. The first time I went, I parked up the hill at the bank (which was closed for the day) at the corner of Kenwood and Hosbrook. Other than that crazy hassle, it's worth doing!

  • Jimmer P.

I was skeptical at first just for the fact it is a chain-type place. That concern went away quickly when I discovered their chile. It really is the only place around that offers fairly authentic green chile. Overall the food is pretty decent, but it is the green chile that will keep me coming back. Been three times now and the service is always good. A server by the name of Curtis was fantastic in dealing with a large group we had one busy evening.

We finally made it in for dinner at this restaurant and very happy we did so. The food was great and extremely fresh! This is way better than most other places around town. Fresh and addictive chips and salsa and the ingredients used for my fajitas and my wife's soft tacos were wonderful. Service was attentive and at a great pace and the atmosphere was relaxed. We have found a new favorite mexican place in Cincinnati!

  • Julia T.

Chuy's is awesome, but I am biased because I'm from Austin. This location is very good, although the spiciness is tamed down for Ohioans. The service could be better, its not up to the TX locations standards. But, the food is 10x better than most other Mexican joints in the area (on par with 2 others, none are better). Yeah, the food has, in the words of Ohioans, "a bit of a kick", but there are less spicy options, just ask! (Deluxe tomatillo is an awesome option) Everything here is made fresh daily, the sauces and tortillas are from scratch, the chicken is roasted and pulled. The margaritas are made with actual lime juice, but get the mexican martini instead of the house marg - perfect... and although not a fan of fruity margs, theirs are pretty kick-ass.

We went to their "training opening" as pretend customers. So this is based solely on apparently everyone working in the restaurant only having had about a week of training. First off, I think they forgot about us at seating. We were there for about 20-25 minutes (I was told a ten minute wait for party of 4 upon arriving) and when I went to check on the status, I could see my name about 3 from the top of the list... And about 30 people after me who had already been seated. Needless to say my seating buzzer went off almost immediately thereafter. Not the best first impression. The chips and salsa are delish. The guac was a tad bland. Tried the creamy jalapeño dip- it was good, but basically just a spicy ranch dressing/dip. The apparently self serve chips and salsa/queso is an interesting idea... We had a limited training menu to choose from, so we couldn't order whatever we wanted. I had the fajita beef burrito. It was HUGE. I got mostly beans my first few bites and found some beef along the way- didn't find anything else in there- covered in a salsa verde; it was alright. Spouse had the #2 combo, which is the Elvis Presley Memorial Comb. He seemed to enjoy it. Others at our table had the chika-chicka-boom-boom (polished it off and took my leftovers) and the #5 combo. Limited beer selection; nothing on draft. Portions were huge and while we didn't pay (because we were pretend customers, but naturally we tipped on the full estimated cost of the meal), the prices on the menu seemed pretty reasonable. The decor is bright and vibrant, doesn't look anything like Chi-Natti's except for booths along the back wall. Proceeds from our visit benefitted The Neediest Kids Of All. We will probably go back to give it another shot once they are up and running, and the newness has settled with both the employees and the customers.

Finally! I can eat Mexican again!! Been in Cincy for 13 years - my husband actually thought I hated Mexican food(no, just HATED Don Pablo's and Abuelos). I know this is a chain But it is fresh and different enough to give it a try! If you hear someone say it isn't good, ask them if they are from Ohio originally;)

Being that i am from Texas, i love tex-mex in general. So excited to have it in Ohio! The chips and queso are delicious. Happy hour in the bar has free nachos-beef, cheese, beans, and salsa.- as well as great margaritas for a good price! Went on a friday night at 6pm- very busy. But the wait was short and the service was amazing! Chicken fajitas were delicious and served really fast! We were in and out in an hour!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
