If you do not mind waiting, Cheddars is a decent place to eat. Lines are pretty long, 30-60 minutes has been my experience. It is always packed. The chicken tenders are always good. The pasta dishes are a bit salty but has a good flavor. The spinach and cheese dip was tasty. Rebecca was a really good server. I would go back.

Very disappointed in our visit. Unorganized hostesses with a long wait time while other similar size parties went ahead after putting their names in after ours. We then waited for an hour and a half for 5 orders total resulting in the server asking if we would like some soup on the house. Overall it was great food but the experience was very disappointing and we will not be going back unless an option of online ordering is instilled. This could eliminate the need to hear more horror stories about the shaky service from this restaurant.

Portions are sizable, taste is well above average, - for standard fare, atmosphere is fun!

First time ever I have a burger with zero flavor. Even the bacon had no flavor, amazing I didn't know you could screw bacon up. Also it's a restaurant I call a airline restaurant. You have to pay for fries with your burger, but they ask with fries. Granted I didn't pay so that was a bonus. It's sad when the manager said I don't eat the burgers here.

Reviewers please remember this restaurant is still new, hasn't even been a year yet. It is very popular as Colerain has been desperate for a new restaurant like Cheddar's for years. I'm sure the staff and management feels a bit overwhelmed. Give it time to work out the kinks. I was there at 9:00 pm last night and there was still a wait with every seat filled. It's a great place for families as the food is decent for the price with large portions. Great décor and a fun atmosphere. I did notice the women's restroom needed some tending to and tables weren't cleaned for 15 mins or more. Hoping they get on track because it is a great restaurant!

4 stars for the food, the service is good. If you go at a prime meal time the wait is ridiculous!!! I wouldn't wait 2 hours for any restaurant

We went as a party of 8 was told we had a 45 min. wait time, we ended up waiting for hour and 45 minutes,we went to our table and we were missing one chair and was told there were no other chairs available. After saying we have been there for almost 2 hours they will find us a chair we did get one. Then getting our food was another hour and when we ask for more napkins, they brought us cocktail napkins. We ordered the buffalo chicken wrap which was very tasty, with a side of fries, but some of our fries were very small portions while others had larger portions. The quality control is lacking with their food. Was very dissatisfied with our visit. The prices are good but I'm not sure the wait is worth it! This was a Friday night at 9:00pm.

We went to Cheddar's last night. We waited 25 minutes to be seated. I really enjoyed the meal. The salad was fresh and filling. The salad was served with warm croissants drizzled with honey butter. I ordered the spazagna it was delicious. It was baked spaghetti and cheese with marina sauce. Another member of our party ordered steak and shrimp combo with a side of red beans and rice. I also ordered Texas tea which had vodka and lemonade in it. I highly recommend this drink.

You know it's good whenever you want to come here and it's packed. Usually not a long wait, but if it is, it is worth it. Hang out and wait, what else are you going to do? I've only been here twice, but the good, ambience is good. Clean restaurant with hearty portions and reasonably priced.

Always have had poor service multiple times I've tried this restaurant. Undercooked salmon with one meal when they took it back everyone was done eating by the time they brought it out a second time. Seems like it's a kitchen and management issue. Waitresses and waiters are.nice but seem overwhelmed .

We won't go back. The service was very slow. The place was very dirty. Lots of food all over the floor. They were out of several things. The food was mediocre. Not worth the drive over to the west side at all. The waitress was not a happy person. :(

A had dinner with a friend during the week. It was a 10-15 minute wait. The staff was very friendly. I had the shepherds pie. It was very good. My friend had one of the specialty salads and hers was very good also. A previous review made a comment about the water tasting like it came from a garden hose. I've had better water from a water hose. Please Cheddars, invest in a water filtration system. Water is a basic need. With a nice restaurant with good food it's puzzling to me that your water would taste like water from a third world country!

Cheddars is coming to Colerain!! That's the sentiment I had heard several times over leading up to the opening this past Monday. Before then, I had never heard of Cheddars. None of this is relevant to my review. I stopped in at open (11am) to ask if they took reservations for dinner (we had a party of 8). As expected, they did not. Thinking it would be a good idea to arrive earlier than "dinner rush" to avoid a lengthy wait, we arrived before 5pm and were seated almost immediately. I went to the bar to see what offerings were featured on tap and was met with disappointment. Bud Light, Miller Lite, Coors, Yuengling? No thanks. The "craft"yist beer available was Sam Adams Seasonal. I opted for a bottle of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I did overhear another customer order a Bud Light draft only to be told they were out of it. How do you run out of Bud Light draft?? Before 5pm?? On the 4th day of your opening??? After being seated, we were greeted by Sam, who was polite, pleasant and energetic. We were still waiting for two to arrive, so she took our drink orders and returned in time for the others to decide on meals. I was impressed with the menu items. There was good variety to choose from and virtually everything was under $10. A half rack of ribs for $9.99 and a whole rack for just $14.99. Not bad. I decided on the 8oz Sirloin and my wife ordered the country fried chicken. Food seemed a bit slow coming out, but by that time the dining room was competely packed. Food came out in healthy portions, especially the chicken finger platters two of our party ordered. My sirloin looked delicious and the helpings of corn and fries was perfect - not piled on. Two in our party had cold mashed potatoes, and my brother had a Philly cheese steak sandwich that came with mushrooms after he specifically ordered it without. 10 minutes later, he had a new sandwich. While my sirloin passed the eye test, it failed the taste test. It was dry, flavorless and on the "done" side of medium. On the plus side, they put the appropriate amount of butter on my corn and crisped the fries just right (it's surprising how many places can mess this up). We finally placed 2 orders for the "Monster Cookie" dessert which boasted a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, nuts and a cherry. In our experience, "monster" is used to describe not just the portion, but the flavor as well. We shared with the table and they were gone in record time. All in all, our food experience was above average and we were all satisfied with our meals. Comments on our service experience. Sam was good starting out, but she quickly seemed to get overwhelmed. It took quite a while to get my Maui Margarita, which isn't necessarily her fault, but it looked like it had been sitting on the service bar for a few minutes upon arrival. My brother's sandwich was delivered (after remake) by someone who might have been a cook, but he never introduced himself or explained why he was delievering, nor did he offer an apology for the mistake. Sam would have done a better job. Our bill came out before our dessert, which might have been the reason they tried to seat another party at our table while we were still seated. The decor was modern and the wall pieces in our section were modern photos from around the city, which were nice. My wife nailed the feel of the place when she said it was an Olive Garden ambiance with a TGI Fridays menu. Most of the issues we experienced I am willing to write off under "opening week". With time, I expect (hope) their routine to streamline. Sam was friendly when she wasn't looking stressed, so hopefully once she gets in stride her personality will maintain the whole dining experience. The prices are great and we were impressed with the menu. I will definitely return to Cheddars, but probably not for dinner until they've gotten a few months under their belts. I'd like to see a few tap items to please a craft beer enthusiast, but it doesn't mar my experience. I'm reserving a 4th star for a return visit experience, but Cheddars is definitely a welcome addition to the area.

My first impression? Absolute awe. The atmosphere was far more welcoming, captivating, and all-around neat than i would've ever expected. Everything was going great, i made sure to arrive early, being that this is a new location i assumed it would be crowded around dinner time. We entered, greeted almost immediately, seated quickly, and our order taken in no time. Then... it all went sour. I ordered a Monte Cristo, hold the preserves (I like them savory, not sweet) with fries, my date ordered a grilled chicken Alfredo, as well as a Maui Margarita. The wait wasn't exceptionally terrible, around 15 minutes. My monte cristo arrived with powdered sugar, i asked the waitress if she could have them remake it, not a problem. Then, a few bites into the Grilled Chicken Alfredo and we realized there was no chicken. The margarita was colossal, very tasty, but had little to no alcohol in it. We finally received our redone orders, about 50 minutes in. My monte cristo? Absolutely frigid in the middle. The fresh chicken made for the alfredo was room temperature and bland. I asked the waitress to feel my sandwich to confirm it was cold, she agreed and returned with a manager who apologized as well. The head chef came and asked if he could make me something else. I reluctantly requested a cheeseburger, simple, nearly impossible to screw up, right?... Wrong... He gladly accepted the task and returned to the kitchen. Not ten minutes later the burger and fries arrived. At this point i felt as if i was sitting there for an eternity. I smiled, "Finally i can eat" i thought. I took my knife and fork to the burger, and it fought back. If someone had taken their shoe and put it between a bun on my plate it would've been easier to eat than this piece of meat. It was the most processed over-cooked burger i've had in my life, nearly impossible to chew. The fries! There's SOMETHING i can put in my stomach, i reached for them... Soggy, underdone, cold. I was done, ready to up and leave, A different manager came to our table this time. He begged me to just let them make me some fries, "So i didn't leave hungry and go grab some mcdonald's" I agreed, at this point i was starting to feel bad, as if it were my fault. They came back with a plate of fries, i had to ask for ketchup. They were a little over done and not especially tasty, maybe i should've gone to Mcdonald's. So in summary, i left with a few fries in my stomach and a terrible taste in my mouth. Perhaps i'll try again in a few months, but i won't be looking forward to it. (Also, one side note. The water had a very strange taste to it, the best way to describe it would be garden hose water. Not very appetizing.)

Stopped in last night after a game north of the city. Sat at around 8pm and didn't get our food for over 40+ minutes. Wife and I (with one kid) got queso (which came with beef which we did not order when asked) fish tacos, B-BQ chicken salad and ribs. All were bland with nothing that would make this place stand out. We were very hungry and wanted to eat and get moving. The waitress was not at all helpful and it took so long to get our app (over 25 minutes) that we were unhappy fairly quickly. Had heard good things but won't be back.

I had a wonderful lunch with three friends from high school. We came early and were seated promptly. Our server was efficient and friendly (and I'm kicking myself for not getting her name.) I had the grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese and a honey-lime dressing. It was fabulous. The french fries were the best I've had anywhere in a long time. The portions were very generous I'm not usually a five star rater, but this place was really great for a chain. Everyone else in my party seemed happy.

Went for a relaxing dinner but left very disappointed and hungry. Took 1/2 hour for the tilapia and shrimp, luke warm at best when served. I removed the two small side dishes to find the plate had been wiped with a dirty towel. The waitress should have checked on my order but didn't and I noticed that most of the staff lacked the proper way of serving. Won't be going back to this location ever again.

Went fairly early but lots of people waiting. Given a ridiculously short wait time, 16-21 minutes. After waiting more than 30 minutes with people who got there before we did, (also parties of two), we left. Had they said that the wait would be an hour, we wouldn't have signed in and wasted anyone's time or space. The management needs to figure out how to give "real" wait times.

Cheddar's started out in Texas. The goal was to provide quality for that did not clean out your wallet. Today (April 22, 2014) Cheddar's has about 135 in about 23 states. For more of the historical information on Cheddar's check out this link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch… . It was one of those days that was kind of ......well you know blagh! So me and my father decided to head up to Cheddar's (in Cincinnati's Northgate area). For those of you that have not been to the Northgate Mall in a while they are doing a lot of work up there. Building new stores and repurposing many of the old ones so be careful when you first pull into the lot or you might be joining one of the many pot hole conventions! Cheddar's is one of the more recent and tastier additions to the Mall and the word is out so if you get there during peak times you might be waiting in line for a few minutes. Me and Dad rolled in just after 2:00pm and got a seat rather quickly. I was not looking for a feast just a nice lunch and some hang time with my father. Cheddar's had a nice menu of sandwiches, entrees, deserts and drinks. For me it was the chicken tenders with a side of apples and Dad went for the fried shrimp with a side of slaw. The meal was not bad at all. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly I have absolutely no complaints. Our server was great she didn't let my ice tea glass empty and I never had to ask her for a refill. This is a nice casual place that doesn't break the bank. It has a nice separate bar area with large screen TV's but you will have trouble hearing them over the crowd noise. If you just have an itch to go out and grab a bight keep Cheddar's in mind. It is worth it.

This place was below average for a chain restaurant. The beer was slightly chilled, but nowhere near normal temperature. The food was brought luke warm. The ribs were fatty. The steak flavorless. I asked for salad dressing on the side but they couldn't even meet that simple request. The only thing the got right was their estimate of how long it would take to get a table.

Food was good, atmosphere was decent and the serving staff was decent. If you don't mind a long wait for pretty good for and average service this is your place.

It was a Applebee's/Cracker Barrel/Hometown cooking. Wasn't what I expected. Food wasn't nasty at all. Just wasn't what I expected. The Texas Cheese Fried were good.

This restaurant is a home run for Colerain. Other than it looking amazing and having a great ambiance, the food was great. The brick exterior, outside patio, and fountain are a nice touch which certainly gives a sense of being upscale. The inside is equally appointed having lots of seating and a bar separated from the main dining area. The menu is pretty American having ribs, steak, chicken as well as Salmon and shrimp. Even though American may seem average, the food was not. I enjoyed a steak and rib combo. The steak was good, but not as good as the ribs. My wife enjoyed her Salmon, which was a sizable portion. Guests at our tablle oredered the Shepherds Pie and Spaghetti Lasagna. We all agreed we'd eat the dishes again. On this particular night, the restaurant was open by invitation only, though it was a full restaurant with patrons having to wait a short period. It opens for business to the public on Monday. Though the service folks were all new, they were courteous and attentive. Quick notes... Good portion size. Very reasonable prices. Recommendations...Onion rings! Rib combos. Chicken fingers. Everything seemed pretty good to us.

Got seated quickly, but took several minutes for the waiter to ask us what we wanted. Ordered meal with drinks. Food came out in reasonable time. Wife got the buffalo chicken wrap (2-10" wraps) and fries, I got the Sheppard's pie. Both were very good. Only issue was the waiter checked with us three times with my glass of soda empty and I had to ask for a refill the third time. The tab was only $22.25 and the wife took half of hers home. A great value and really good food. I wouldn't mind leaving a 30% tip at these values, but when I have to ask for a soda, I thought a 15% was generous. Was there before and the service was much better.

Horrible service. Arrived to the restaurant and it waa very slow. One other couple sitting in our section amd we waited for 20 minutes to even get someone to come get our drink orders.

I wanted the reviews to be wrong. I read several reviews that the service was awful and hoped by waiting almost a year after they opened the kinks would be worked out. My mom wanted to go to cheddars despite the reviews so we went at 5:15 on May 29th, 2014. We were seated right away, which was a plus. A few minutes later our waitress took our drink orders. They soft drinks were brought out 8-10 minutes later, leaving us ample time to study the menu and know what to order. I ordered a half slab of Ribs, substituting mashed potatoes for the fries. My mom ordered the bacon cheeseburger and asked for onion rings in place of fries. We were told the only onion rings were the appetizer portion but decided that was ok. We thanked the waitress and that started her annoying habit of responding "no problem" to every time we said thank you. I don't think this is proper response to a guest thanking an employee and if there isn't a corporate policy one should be established. We waited 15 minutes and our waitress came by to tel us our order should be out soon, it was taking awhile since we ordered the onion rings which were prepared by hand and the burger was well done. About 7minutes later a food runner brought out our food! Yay we were ready to eat, but why did we have spinach dip and no hand cut gotta wait for them onion things??? We told the runner what as missing, he said he would tell our server. A few minutes later our sever came to check on another table, we waved her over to tell her of the issue she said she knew about it, but to go ahead and eat, we told her the point was to eat the rings with the burger, she said they would be out soon... Not sure how if that was one of the reasons for the slow service in the 1st place hmmmm. A quarter of burger later, the rings came out with the server and a manager to let us know the rings were on them. Nice, but from other reviews typical. Oh and they were the only hot food we were served! Cheddars need to close for 2 weeks and rehire/retrain. The service is not good and needs to be corrected. I'll listen to my instincts and reviews and never go back.

Experienced locked exterior doors at 1030.... hours posted are till 1130 on a Friday night... was kinda put off but came in as people exited. Seen this tactic of undoging the crash bars to discourage new seatings so staff can clean up and be out earlier.... service and as usual friendly and tasty....manager states hours posted on web page is in-correct. ..they close at 10.-1030..

Sometimes you just feel like classic, American chain-food...And when I get that craving, Cheddar's is my favorite place. Some people would say this place is comparable to like a TGI Friday's or Applebee's...I would say yes, but you know how when you go to those restaurants the food always sounds better on the menu than it is in real life? Well, at Cheddar's it is actually GOOD...and CHEAP. If you don't like their food, you're not ordering the right thing. I always get the chicken caesar pasta salad which is awesome (and a ton of food). I also like their steaks. Get the broccoli cheese casserole on the side. Reminder: you do not come to this place because you're on a diet and want something light! You come here to get cheap, consistent food that is comforting. Also, be prepared to take home some leftovers. The prices cannot be beat here. My fiance got a steak and chicken strip with two sides for $13.50...I repeat, 13 freaking dollars. You can barely even eat fast food for these prices! And his steak was a perfect medium-rare. Yes, there is always a wait. PRO TIP: Eat in the bar area. You get the same menu, you can sit in a booth, a server will come to your table and take your order...It is exactly the same as sitting in the main restaurant. Except you don't have to wait! All the booths and tables in the bar area are first come first serve. The decor is lacking, but for what it is, I think Cheddar's is pretty darn good.

Food was decent but the service was awful. The plates continued to stack up and when we asked the server to clear the plates he acted like we were asking him to raise the titanic. Manager also walked by our table stacked full of dishes:(

  • Jon M.

Food was fairly good. Host sat us at a dirty table and had to wipe it off. Communication people .....Burgers a little over cooked for medium. My broccoli casserole came in a dish that had a huge chip of it missing. Our server Ileria was basically trying to rush us out. She brought our food and 2 minutes later brought the check and when we asked for 2 more beers she never brought them. Beautiful restaurant but needs to do a better job in training and professionalism.

Cheddar's is another one of those chain restaurants but the food is actually pretty good and kind of cheap for the amount you are given. The biggest turn off about this place is in the fact that they are almost ALWAYS super busy and crowded. Expect long waits no matter what time you go. They are also HORRIBLE for groups. It must be difficult to get the tables at the same time and they almost always insist on splitting groups up among booths. During my last visit a very large family came in and they were split between a table and two booths with myself and my date in the middle of them yelling back and forth to each other. Another turn off is the fact that a lot of the entrees are pre-made which means you cannot make adjustments to the food. And who wants to eat food that they're just microwaving and plating? I really only come here when I have to or when I know I won't have to wait all night to get seated which means rarely, but it is a great place where everyone can find something they will enjoy.

I can't believe I have never heard of this place before last night! The portions are big and the price is very cheap for what you get! We started off with an appetizer of Onion Rings, which were piled up high. If I were to see this somewhere else I would guess it would cost at least 7-8$ ( typical price at most other restaurants), but it was only 4.58ish. I ordered the Salmon dinner which came with rice and two sides. I got corn and mashed potatoes. I was expecting a small piece of salmon because the dish was so cheap around 12$. Well I was wrong! The salmon was at least 9oz, and very thick. This dish could have easily been priced at 20$. I was stuffed when we left and our dinner was only 33$ (two drinks, appetizer, and two dinners). The decor is really nice, the food is even better. Make sure you check it out! It's my new favorite place to eat!

I worked in Omaha for 19 months. There was a Cheddar's right down the road. We passed it all the time on some other place to eat. The locals didn't deem it lunch worthy, so I was skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was nice and included a huge fish tank behind the bar. Our server was very pleasant and just attentive enough. Mom had the chicken strips and shrimp, which came with two sides. It was a LOT of food for the money. She seemed to enjoy it. I had the Key West Chicken and Shrimp. It was good. I had broccoli and sweet baby carrots as sides. The broccoli was steamed and delightfully healthy. I was pleased it didn't come swimming in butter. The carrots were also steamed and deliciously sweet. The chicken was service with pineapple, rice and tiny slices of jalapeño. I wasn't expecting the jalapeño; it caught me off guard. It added a nice heat, but I'm not really a 'heat' person. They were easy to avoid... and I did. Still, if someone was interested in a little kick, these jalapeños are a nice touch. I'm not sure I'd go back, but not because it was a bad experience... because it wasn't. It wasn't special, either. Pretty standard fare for a chain restaurant. I suppose if I were in the area I would go back, but I am rarely in the area and most likely won't drive just to come to Cheddar's. Still... it's a nice addition to the area. It's always nice to have options.

Just another dull-eyed corporate restaurant with mediocre quality and service. If you had to go here because grandma likes it, it wouldn't be the end of the world, I guess. If your reviews tend to have the word "portion" in them, you might disagree with my opinion.

Third time wasn't a charm here. The first two times we sat out our table for 20 minutes after placing our drink order, and left after never receiving them. This time we were able to get drinks, at our dirty bar area that was never wiped down, and enjoyed some mediocre at best food. The place is doing great business, but not anymore from us.

Chain. This place was busy on a Monday night, so we got our food at the bar. I can't imagine how it is on the weekends. Half pound burgers (all by their lonesome) run you around $5, but most meals appear to be around the $8 range. I thought the $2 up charge for fries or coleslaw with the burger was a bit much, so I passed on it and stole some of my date's fries instead. Food was good and the staff was friendly, but they seemed really disorganized. When we ordered our drinks the bartender seemed too busy, so a second bartender got our order, then passed the order on to a third bartender who passed it right back to the first bartender. I think we ordered our drinks three times and it took about fifteen minutes to get them made. A similar thing seemed to happen with our dinners: my date ordered a potato soup with no bacon. When it didn't come out with the meal she reminded the bartender of the order. The soup came out with bacon. Then a second soup came out without bacon. So we both got soup and it all worked out, but it just seemed like a lot of poor communication and disorganization. It appeared as though this was happening with others as well, the waitstaff didn't seem to know what drinks were theirs, if their order had gone out, or if their order had been filled. Again, the place was busy, but it wasn't like people were exactly swarming the bar or anything.

This place is your typical chain restaurant. The food is just okay but the prices are better. $9.99 for an entree with 2 sides is almost unbeatable. This place wouldn't be my first choice for dining simply because there is alway a wait and the service left a lot to be desired; however I'd be open to trying it again.

    (2)
  • Melissa O.

I'd heard good things about the place, and it always seemed fairly packed and I assumed then that it must be good to always be so busy. I went twice in a period of a week or so, once with family and again with friends who had been wanting to try the place out. It was okay, definitely a typical chain restaurant. Nothing that makes it extraordinary or worth waiting more than 30-45 minutes, however. The portions of food were impressive and pretty good based on the prices. I was somewhat impressed by that, I will admit. I had the chicken and waffles the first time, and the steak the second. As I said, it was good, but nothing special. I think the chicken was probably better than the steak, though. I'm sure at some point I will find myself back there in the future, and I would probably order the chicken (and/or chicken and waffles) again. The service was pretty good both times, pretty quick and friendly. I did enjoy the interior of the restaurant, it's nicely decorated and feels different from all the other chain restaurants in the area. I'd recommend giving this place a try, but I wouldn't go in expecting to be wowed by it or anything. It's enjoyable but not somewhere you'll have the best meal of your life or anything.

This Cheddar's location had opened not too long ago, and I had been meaning to check it out for a while. However, their vegetarian options did not seem particularly plentiful beyond appetizers, so this visit kept being put off. With my brother in town for the week, I thought visiting with a meat-eater might make for a more pleasant visit. I ended up leaving happier than he did! It was pouring rain when we pulled up, so we were a little soaked upon entering but we were seated promptly and thankfully the a/c wasn't blasting. We placed our order, but it was well over 5 minutes before our requested water glasses showed up at the table - and the water had an odd taste that both my brother and I noticed. I ordered the Baked Spasagna with a side of Broccoli Cheese Casserole, and I enjoyed everything that I ate. My brother ordered a burger and requested it to be medium-rare, but he reported that it came out well-done and was disappointing. Portion sizes were good, and I had leftover Spasagna for two lunches.

I loooove this place! The food is so good and they give big portions for a great price. The only downfall is that it's pretty crowded like all the time! The chicken fingers are so good and try the honey lime mustard. The ribs are so good too! Pretty much everything! Be sure to get the croissants too so good!

2.5 stars, really. - Extremely busy. Line out the door. We waited nearly an hour (and went to hhgregg to kill time). - There is a decent amount of space up front to wait in, which is nice. The fish tanks and dark wood are vaguely pleasing, too. - After being seated, we again waited quite a while before anyone asked for our drink order. There may have been some confusion about who was supposed to serve us. - Once we got a server, she was friendly and attentive. - Husband ordered ribs. A few min later, server came back to tell us that unfortunately they were out of ribs. Husband settled for chicken tenders but didn't really care for them. - I ordered chicken pot pie, which was pretty good, and an appropriate size (filling but not wastefully large). Verdict: The food is fine, just not worth a long wait. Hopefully this location will iron out its rhythm of service to reduce delays.

Had a great dinner. One of a few places where you get good food and legit cocktails. I ordered a Manhattan that was exceptional and my wife had another cocktail that was super good (with the right amount of the ingredients). Then i ordered a grilled tilapua with mango sauce and it was fantastic. Great dinner, with friendly staff, in a nice decorated scene. My only feedback is for the waitress to give more time to people to decide what they want. I asked for few minutes and in less than a minute i had the waitress asking if i have decided. Rule of thumb, if i am still looking at the menu then i am not ready yet :)

The wait wasn't bad, for a new restaurant. The food was alright. I ordered the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly (mid rare). However, the cut was mediocre. You'll find better steaks next Door at Long Horn. The beer was warm and the ran out of draft, it was 7:00 in the evening. When I order beer at a restaurant I want a cold draft. I have warm beer at my house, and it's cheaper. I'll give this another chance once "the new factor" wears off. Hopefully I can add more stars.

My wife, daughter and I decided to go to Chedders last Saturday for lunch. It was 2 pm and very crowded as people were outside waiting. We decided to check out the wait time and despite the 3 min wait just to place our names they tell us 20-25 minutes. I said "wow!" I thought we were being low balled just to keep us there but it was 25 minutes and we were sat. I was told they have great tenders so being the tender expert of the family I ordered the platter. It was 6-8 huge tenders with 2 sides. Reasonable price for a ton of food. $9 I think it was. My wife got the tender basket which is the appetizer. This is recommended because the platter is huge, a waste really but win for me. I had left overs as did my daughter who also got the platter of tenders. Overall service was nice and fast. Drinks were refilled promptly. No real complaints. 3 of us ate for 30 bucks plus tip. Advice for those that want tenders is be ready for big portions. They need a disclaimer for the platter. Not bad though. Atmosphere was loud, bright, hectic with patrons, warm and cozy, I removed my sweatshirt. I would go again for sure. Maybe dinner next time. 3 stars but that's because I'm a tough judge.

4 of us for dinner at 5:30P on Tue. Place was packed with waiting dinners. You would think they were giving dinner away. Got waited on quickly. Had burgers. Canned mushrooms, not a good sign. Only cook them well done. Side salad was tasty with honey mustard dressing. One of my friends had fried catfish. While I'm not a fan of catfish, I tried a taste. It was wonderful. I will order that next time. Will try to arrive earlier next time. The apple pie a la mode was De-Lish!

Gave four stars specifically because the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. It doesn't matter what time of day you go - expect to wait 45min +. If you have a party bigger than four? Don't bother - wait is going to be even worse (I heard people being quoted upwards of an hour and a half) because we were told there are only a few tables in the entire restaurant equipped to seat large parties. Hopefully, this will change as the newness wears off. That being said, I LOVE the place. Prices are very good, portions are huge, and the staff seemed wonderful. We tried the chips and queso with seasoned ground beef as an appetizer - DELISH. Wasn't really wild about the salsa though. Each person in my party of four ordered something different, and we all wound up sampling bits off of each other's plates. I especially loved the Red Beans & Rice and the Broccoli Cheese Casserole. The chicken tenders are some of the best I've had - the breading is very light. I also got grilled shrimp, which were grilled with a spicy teriyaki style sauce - YUM! We didn't try dessert, because frankly, we were all ridiculously full.

Tonight I had the country fried steak and my wife had the spasagna and they were both a bit dry. The country fried steak was huge but very dry and glad I had the gravy on it. The spasagna was a clump of spaghetti with cheese and meat sauce on top. The sauce was good but the spaghetti mixture was dry as well. Always had good food but it may have bee a bad day.

First time at Cheddar's. Our waitress Vickie was so nice-a very Down-to-Earth young lady who was VERY ATTENTIVE to our needs and made sure we were totally happy....and we were! I ordered the Dijon Chicken and Mushroom dinner and my love ordered a cajun penne pasta dish. Very flavorful with ample portions. I am, however, suspect of their supplier being GFS, which means I could make the same dish if I wanted to, but because of their friendly service and mouth-watering presentation it's worth paying someone else to! We'll be back to try other dishes for sure!

This place is on point! I had the dijon chicken& mushrooms, my two sides was apple/yogurt and broccoli and cheese. The food was hot the chicken was juicy I have no complaints about the food, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it took a while to get the food, but that's because they are busy all the time. They are not stingy with their portions and prices are fair.

The worst bar service!!! Only couple at the bar on a Sunday afternoon and 2,yes 2 bartenders working. After 40 minutes of your food will be out soon comments we finally said what's the hold up. Neither one could figure it out! It's not rocket science. You place order with a ticket and you find ticket with number in kitchen--whew that's tough! Final straw was the bar tender mouthing "f__k" when we were still sitting there when he came back from the kitchen. probably hoped we had left. Complaint to management was poo-poo'ed. Bar tenders spent whole time ignoring us and wiping down the already clean and unbusy bar.

The food at Cheddars is flat out awful. It makes Applebees look like Jeff Ruby's. I've been dragged to this place 3x by other people and the only thing that I've found that's actually good and not disgusting is the tortilla soup.

Miserable service. Our waitress was no where to be found and we waited over an hour for simple food. Everyone around us could see how much we hated our experience, a few couples got up and left. After waiting nearly an hour, cheese fries and chicken waffles came out.. Cold.

This was our second attempt to eat here (the first time was a 90 minute wait which we weren't prepared to do). We were told 60 minutes which was okay we walked around the mall then returned after 45 minutes and waited a bit longer before my wife asked the host if our name was close to being called. Thankfully she did because The host couldn't find our name on the list at all. They seated us immediately (approximately 60 minute wait). The server took our drink and appetizer order right away. The kids drinks arrived promptly along with my beer which was the right beer in the wrong size (I didn't complain). A couple minutes later she returned with the wrong beer in the right size apologizing for the mixup (again I didn't complain) my wife's cocktail had yet to arrive. A few minutes after that the server returned again with the right beer in the right size apologizing again for the mixup and promised my wife's cocktail would be there shortly. My wife's cocktail eventually arrived along with the appetizers which were just as we ordered. her "spicy mojito" tasted like it had no alcohol in it. Twice while we waited for our food someone from the kitchen brought and arm full of dishes to our table asking if this was our order (which it was not). Eventually our food arrived. (my sandwich came with the wrong side but again I did not complain). my wife's order arrived four or five minutes later with the server telling us her order was "on the house" because of the timing. Overall the food was excellent but it appears that the servers and kitchen staff were overwhelmed on a busy night. I overheard several customers complaining about slow service and missing items from their order. Perhaps A busy Saturday night isn't the best time to judge a restaurant. That being said I might opt for a weeknight or lunchtime visit if I were you.

My star rating reflects my normal experience at this restaurant, not the service we had today by Chelsea J. I joke that if my wife asks for iced tea with lemon and the lemon does not come with the tea that is a good indicator of how your wait staff will serve you. Today was that case. After waiting for a bit the plate of lemons arrived. We ordered lunch and I ordered a bowl of soup. My wife's salad arrived without the croissant that always comes with a salad and a cup of soup was placed in front of me. I was on my phone and when I saw a cup I called the waitress over. I said my wife needs a croissant and I ordered a bowl of soup not a cup. She says in a condescending voice, you ordered a cup. I said, no I ordered a bowl. She said she would get it. No apology , just I'll get it. Now I know enough about customer service to know you never argue with the customer, you just apologize and correct the issue. At this point I was in shock. I'm 44, and this was the first time a waitress argued with me. She brings the soup and the croissant and says nothing. No I'm sorry, nothing. At this point we decide her tip will not be 20%. After the confrontation about the soup the waitress had a distant, almost angry attitude about serving us from then on. Sometimes the manager comes by the table and asks how things are, they did not do that this time and we did not mention our poor service to management. The most important thing a waitress can do is be nice. If you make a mistake, say you're sorry and correct it. We don't tip less if a server makes a mistake, we only tip less if a server makes a mistake and argues about it. That is not how the service industry is run. This was our first bad experience here. Our other visits have been fine, maybe a little slow service, but usually there is a wait to be seated. Needless to say we will be back because the food is good.

I have been a longtime fan of Chedders for some time and we typically go there at least twice a month. We couldn't wait until the new one on Colrain was built and eagerly monitored it's progress. Unfortunately our first visit might be our last as we were sorely disappointed by many aspects of the experience. Firstly the wait was exceptionally long at about 40 mins despite having many open sections without servers. I can't fault the restaurant on this except that there was nowhere to go except back out to the parking lot to wait in the car because everyone was packed in the lobby and outside with nowhere to sit. When the two of us were seated we were taken to our table and the hostess was friendly and direct. Our server acknowledged us within 2 mins and we promptly ordered two Maui drinks. She was unfamiliar with them as she was still learning the menu. We ordered two waters in the meantime and the water had a heavy taste of fluoride or chemicals. Tasted as if it had come from someones backyard hose, pretty revolting. We ordered our food and were assured that our drinks would be coming soon. Instead we waited 17 mins and our food arrived. We were trying to flag down the waitress to cancel the drinks but it as too late. Took the mixed drinks over 24 mins to arrive and were prepared sloppily and weak. They should have either comped the drinks or apologized for getting the drinks and the check at the same time. The food itself was ok but the portions seemed smaller than the other Chedders and overall the experience was subpar at best. This store better get it's act together and fast as they have alot of competition in the area.

Food was good, atmosphere was decent and the serving staff was decent. If you don't mind a long wait for pretty good for and average service this is your place.

Always over crowded and always EXTREMELY loud! Service is fair to poor. When it comes to the food, stick to the basics. Chicken tenders are great and the chicken and waffles is a good choice here. The grilled shrimp are awful. Price is average for what you get. We've actually resorted to carry out because I really like the chicken tenders but can't stand to eat inside!

Great place to gather with friends and family. Is pretty good and pretty well priced. Casual, usually overcrowded, but decent service.

Nice affordable, large portions of food. If you enjoy all American food have no fear this is the place for you. Cheddars always stay pack due to the quality and quantity of the food. I have been several times and can always find something different. This past visit I tried the New Orleans pasta it had chicken, shrimp, sausage & rotini noodles it was a medium spicy and I topped it off with a Texas Tea which has a fair amount of alcohol. I have yet to have a bad experience at Cheddars. If you see one around town or in another town stop by and try it. It's worth the try.

Awful service. Didn't even get to eat. We got there an hour before close and they told us that we would have to sir at the bar. We requested one of the MANY booths that were available. They refused. We called to speak to a manager after leaving and he stated that they were closing up and had the nerve to consider us "stragglers" for arriving close to closing time. Spoke with the general manager the following day. He was nice and promised to mail us something. I'm assuming a gift card... Never received it... Months later.

Very disappointing visit. The broccoli casserole was decent. The corn dogs came to the table mushy and wet. I might be back to try it again. Nothing amazing about eating here. I've had better. Service was decent.

Miserable service. Our waitress was no where to be found and we waited over an hour for simple food. Everyone around us could see how much we hated our experience, a few couples got up and left. After waiting nearly an hour, cheese fries and chicken waffles came out.. Cold.

Food was decent but the service was awful. The plates continued to stack up and when we asked the server to clear the plates he acted like we were asking him to raise the titanic. Manager also walked by our table stacked full of dishes:(

We had a party of 9 & they refused to put tables together. They had numerous tables open. The hostess attitude sucked. Walked out.
