I used to get Adriatico's pizza in College. They had a small delivery location next to campus in Kent when I was there. They didn't last long. Lots of competition and a pretty bad location are probably what doomed this spot. When a group of us would travel to Columbus for Ohio State Michigan or any excuse to hang on High street we would get an Adriatico's sicilian Pie. What set these pizzas apart was the over sized pepperoni and the garlic on the crust. Great thick pizza to soak up a night on High Street. Twenty years later I notice there's an Adriatico's in Cincinnati. Road trip time. This location is a sports bar pizzeria. 40 taps line the wall and three flat screens are side by side above. The one thing I forgot about Adriatico's is that the pizza takes time. At least twenty five minutes. Just know this in advance. You could order an appetizer to break up the time but you would be using up your pizza capacity. I ordered a medium pepperoni and mushroom. It did not disappoint. Garlic, italian herbs on a thick crust. A good amount of sweet tomato sauce covered in cheese covered in Pepperoni. My only complaint would be that the fresh mushrooms were cut a bit thick. They were placed on the pizza raw and the heat or the bake time was not enough for them to render their water. The mushrooms had a bit of a raw taste and texture. Not my favorite but probably someones sole reason for coming here. Not a big deal. This was the first time I ate one of these pizzas sober. They are as good as I remembered. Probably even better after a couple of beers.

This pizza is out of this world but a bit pricey. I had two large pizzas and they were large and I paid about $50 with delivery fee. These are unique flavor and I am a huge fan.

The best part about this place is that they have an amazing beer selection! There are always great beers on tap, including local breweries. The buffalo chicken pizza is amazing! My only complaint is that more often than not, it takes forever to get your food. So I guess it's a good thing that the beer is so good, because you'll be waiting a while to eat.

Best pizza and zoni's in town. That's why I drive 45 minutes to pickup pizza every two weeks.

Great pizza, friendly service. Enjoyed the Hawaiian pizza with a friend.

Four stars for the pizza, two stars for the restaurant experience. I recommend calling ahead and picking up your pizza to go. We walked in and no one greeted us. People were milling around while employees scuttled about everywhere. I finally approached someone and asked if there was a wait. She said yes, but couldn't tell me how long. She seemed very confused. Finally, I gave up trying to talk to her and said we would just order for take out. That apparently was also confusing and chaotic. We managed to order, and went for a walk. Came back and sat down to wait, and watched more people come in and get confused on how to get seated, how to order, etc. I got the mid-sized crust, which I loved. Slightly spicy sauce, fantastic helping of cheese. My boyfriend got the thick crust, which was good, but too bready for me. Would get the pizza again, but get it to go.

This is by far the best calzone on earth well at least in Cincinnati & their pizza is tremendous as well. Also if you are looking for a huge pizza to blow the minds of your friends for a football game or any other reason someone may be at your house, the Bearcat will not disappoint. They have a huge bar with over 20 beers on tap. But I have been eating hear since they were a tiny hole on the wall and I have never had a bad meal.

Lost that love and feeling.... Used to be the best place in town and honestly they haven't gotten that much worse....it's just every new place is better. Order either the Sicilian or thin- the regular is an asexual version of pizza crust- meh. Buffalo chicken egg rolls used to be awesome- now they lack spice and are often delivered soft. And what's the deal with no meatball on the pizza? They can put it in the calzones but won't on pizza? Pathetic. The sauce is on the spicier side which is good, especially against that sugar laden Larosa's crap- but it loses it's luster after a few visits. Want pizza? Check my other reviews for better options

Adriatico's makes the best pizza north of the river, hands down. Not only is this spot a great place to enjoy a pie (my go-to is the Inflation Fighter, a stellar deal on 7 toppings), but it has an extensive beer list ranging from the local and potent to the rare and obscure brews that other places dream of carrying. I won over a woman once upon a time by taking her here and I'm sure you can too. It's nothing pretentious or fancy, the service can be a little slow, but you won't find a better pie from Cincinnati to Toledo to Athens to Ashtabula. My best recommendation for this place? Get the Sicilian crust. It's done to perfection every time.

The pizza is great initially, but always gives me terrrrrrible heartburn for DAYS. Still suffering and its day #4.

Ordered a $40 Bearcat pizza. Half pepperoni half mushroom and extra cheese. Drove home and discovered that extra cheese didn't mean much. You could see sauce on the majority of the pizza. My wife called to explain the situation. Only to get a response from a manager that he personally made the pizza and didn't see anything wrong. His solution was for us to order extra extra cheese. We have Been 15 + year patrons and this has made me a bit sour.

Best calzone in Cincinnati and a very generous portion. The new location is great. Free delivery and open late one of the best options in cliffton for late night food after a long night out.

I eat here more than I'd like to admit. Adriaticos is AMAZING. Unique flavors for pizza - spicier than most - but always fresh. The parmesean breadsticks have almost caused fights in our house over the last one. Their draft beer selection is awesome, but it can get a bit loud in the restaurant, especially if an important game is on. Expect to wait 45-60 minutes for delivery, but knowing that it is TOTALLY worth it.

Myself and another friend decided to go on a greater Cincinnati tour to find the Best Cheese Pizza. Despite the crap I get for loving and ordering plain pizza the way I do, she and I wholeheartedly agree that, if a restaurant cannot master the basics, how can it be considered quality? (Same goes for ice cream in my opinion.) Surprisingly enough, I had never been to this Cincinnati institution, but it had appeared on my List for a long time. Thankfully, too, my friend and I had been plotting the beginning of a new tour, and decided it would be a great place to jumpstart our best of cheese pizza journey. In standard Linsey fashion, I opted for breadsticks to start. With ranch dressing, garlic butter, and pizza sauce to dip--don't be silly. In addition to breadsticks, the place served tater tots. TOTS, GUYS.* So we just knew that a platter of cheese-covered tots was necessary. For the main event, and for the namesake of the tour, the five of us also got two medium pizzas: one hand-tossed with cheese and another with Sicilian (thick) crust with half cheese and half pepperoni and sausage (that was for BK, who all but refuses to eat plain pizza). I liked Adriatico's. I wasn't blown away by it like I expected to be and considering how much everyone hyped it up. It was good, though, and I especially liked the tater tots, hand-tossed crust, and ranch dressing. Although it didn't really live up to the hype, I generally liked Adriatico's, and the ranch dressing was everything I could have wanted and so much more. Also, TOTS, GUYS. (If I could give it 3.5 stars out of 5, I would.)

I think there's a certain elitism about your alma mater... every business, every eatery, every pub on your campus is unique, one of a kind, has never been thought of before and never will again. So imagine my surprise when I discovered that Ohio State University's own Adriatico's Pizza, which sustained me on many, many a night, has a twin. (Cue dramatic soap opera organ music here.) That's right, it would appear the University of Cincinnati has its very own store. I felt both exhilarated and suspicious at the same time. Could the UC version stand up to OSU's? The answer is, of course, yes. The only real question is, do I go with the time-tested Combo Zoni with Tater Tots, or should I throw caution to the wind and go off-road with the Jumbo Cheese Ravioli? Not much about their menus have changed, which makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Prices have gone up, but fortunately I make more than I made in college, so sign me up. And no disrespect to the Ohio State location that contributed to the girlish figure I now have, but that store was strictly a pickup/delivery affair. UC's is a full-on, 'come on in, sit down and watch the game and don't even worry about the conference you're supposed to be attending right now' experience. This is no hole in the wall campus joint, either. Very family-friendly. Next time I'm in Cincy it will be very much on my radar. When it was time to leave my conference, my only regret was that I wasn't able to compare it to Pomodori's Trattoria. Cincy Cindy, if you are reading this, I need a personal testimonial from you on this one!

This is one of my favorite places to take guests when they come into town. This is a no-brainer since it is one of my favorite places to eat in Clifton, if not all of Cincinnati! To start, there seems to be a running competition between those who are team Adriatrico's and those who are team Dewey's. It is my opinion that Adriaticos has better crust, sauce, variety and prices. Dewey's is better if you are looking for gourmet toppings. It's true, Adriatico's is not the place to go if you are craving goat cheese, kalamata olives, prosciutto, etc. But that's okay, sometimes we all want a traditional, greasy, delicious pizza! I can't explain why but the parmesan breadsticks with the garlic butter sauce are out of this world good. Seriously the best breadsticks ever. You must try them if you go here! All three crusts are the same, they just vary in thickness, which I like. I usually go with the middle one, although they are best known for their thicker crust. I recommend the thick crust if you are feeding many people on a budget. For work catering we always have Bearcats (huge pizzas) delivered. They also have a very good happy hour. On weekdays from 3-6 you get half price appetizers and discounted drinks. On Wednesdays all the wine is half price, but don't come here looking for any fancy brands, all they offer are house wines, and it isn't even listed what brand(s). But that's okay, because their vast beer selection more than makes up for this. Besides, beer and pizza just belong together. While it can be difficult to find parking around here they actually have a small lot about half a way down the street to the right. It is easy to miss if you do not know it's there. But usually it is not full and you can park for free. This is a rare luxury in the Clifton Heights area. Finally, they have free delivery! This is another luxury that has become rare and is much appreciated. If you are looking for (other) discounts, they regularly send out coupons in the Bearcat Cash and other random places.

My coworkers and I ordered this for lunch one day. They all kept telling me how it's one of the best pizzas ever. Maybe I was expecting more, but I didn't really think it was anything special. Don't get me wrong the pizza was good, we had sausage and pepperoni, but I wasn't overly impressed. I may or may not go back sometime and try something else on their menu.

Three cheers for a palatable calzone! Way less than three cheers for waiting an hour for it in a near empty restaurant!

  • Patti B.

I've only had delivery and never eaten in. I usually eat so much pizza (delicious, crispy/chewy crust, just enough cheese, not overly saucy), Parmesan breadsticks (stupid good, covered in cheese, chewy dough that's done just right), and a few bites of a calzone (all of them are super tasty and a meal on their own) that I change into stretchy pants before the delivery person shows up. It isn't super cheap like Dominos but the extra couple bucks is worth it. It's so much food and it is so good. The only complaint is that the calzones I've had are usually pretty greasy but calzones aren't exactly health food so it's still five stars. If you're sick of popular chain pizza or frozen pizza, give this place a try!

I have been eating Adriatico's for 7 years. It's easily my favorite pizza. From the thick crust to the semi spicy sauce it's perfect. I prefer the sausage pizza, but you definitely have to try the thick crust at least once. It is to die for.

  • Angela C.

My husband loves Adriatico's spicy pizza sauce and thick crust. I think it's a little bit of college nostalgia. It's never been my favorite, but this is a solid pizza joint, with some other pasta options. We tried the pepperoni rolls (?) and there was a little too much fried wonton wrapper going on there. This particular location has lots of tvs to watch sports on, and a great craft beer offering, including pretty much all the local craft beers and Breckenridge (from CO).

  • Amanda T.

Now let me start off by saying I love pizza. I have only had Adriatico's at work so it has always been take out. I like the amount of cheese they place on the pizza. I did not like the sauce; it was too sweet and the quantity was too much. I like that their pizzas are cut into square pieces. It was decent, but I would not go out and get it as a meal.

Ordered delivery while getting drinks with friends at Rhinegeist. First time trying it and was pretty good. In usually not a big fan of new York style pizza but I must admit it was quite tasty. Although I still prefer ROC a fellas over this place it was quite tasty. 2 distinct flavors so you have to try both

If you like a combination of greasy garlic pizza, beer, and pos ingestion regret, Adriatico's will not let you down. Adriatico's has many great beers on tap and makes a variety of pizzas but they are probably best known for their huge bearcat pizza. You can taste garlic in the crust and the cheese makes a sheet of greasy yumminess. They have salads but they are not much healthier. Adriatico's is a nice calorie splurge and no doubt a great bar stop on an evening. If you need lots of pizza delivered the bearcat pizza will get the job done. You may not feel fantastic after eating here but it is a nice splurge every now and then.

It's been almost three years since I had this pizza. I've been dying for a reason to grab some take out and finally I was on this side of town. I called in my order ahead to avoid a wait. The man taking my order was nice and we were finished in a matter of minutes. I was told my wait would be 30 min. Not a problem. I popped into the restaurant and was told my order wasn't ready, they were waiting for one more item. Not a problem. About 7 min later food was ready. I had a large square Sicilian with pepperoni. I love the crust! So yummy and packed with garlic! The pizza was a bit colder than it should have been because of the wait for the other item. I also ordered bread sticks with beer cheese. Unfortunately, they gave me fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce instead. I should have checked my bag before leaving the store. If my ordered would have been correct they would have had four stars instead of three. Overall, pizza was way better than larosas! So I'm sure I will find my way back to this pizza joint. They also have a very large menu filled with many other items.

Very disappointed with the service. Ordered a Med Pizza at 11am and I finally had to just cancel it close to 12:30. I called 3 times and I was told it was out for delivery every time. It doesnt take over 30 minutes to deliver a pizza less than 5 minutes away. I hate being lied to. I have been a long time customer but now they have lost me for a very long time!

Well the pizza here is delicious but the delivery is infuriating. My house is in a complex within their delivery area but because we are a newer street, they will deliver to the street side BUT not 50 feet around the corner to my house. Love the food but you really can't deliver because my newer address doesn't come up even though it's within your loop? Frustrating.

This place is awesome! Not only do they have close to 50 different draft beers but the food is out if this world!! They have a outside type seating area which is the bomb! You have to check this place out!!

I really enjoyed my garden pizza. The beer selection is great. The triple chocolate gelato was very good as well (although the tiny shovel to eat it were a bit strange). When I used to live closer I would order the bearcat pizza with tomatoes and always loved it. I don't like most places thick crust pizza but I like Adriatico's.

I read a lot of great reviews about this place so I decided to check it out. Parking lot across the street made it easy to get here. Ambience was nice, restaurant was clean and it had a nice little craft beer selection on tap. I walked in and sat down at the bar in the early afternoon on a Monday. Bartender had 2 bar guests and another table in the dining room. I sat down and she walked over to my area and proceeded to stuff a salsa covered nacho into her mouth, then walked away. After a couple minutes I looked for her and she was standing with her work buddies by the front door talking and drinking a soda. She came back behind the bar and then immediately went back over to the table in the dining room. Never greeted me so after 5 minutes I left. Wasn't a good experience but I'm sure it was random. Will give it another try soon.

I love Adriatico's, and not just for their great pizza. They are one of the only local businesses I know of that will deliver to my apartment (EWH area), so that makes it even more tempting to order mass amounts of food. I personally enjoy the mozz sticks, the boneless wings, and tater tots covered in cheese and bacon (clearly should be concerned about my own health). The delivery drivers are also always extremely friendly, making the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend if you live in East Walnut Hills and need some late night snacks!

For being a not-so-big fan of deep-dish pizza, Adriatico's does satisfy my pizza cravings pretty well. You also cannot go wrong with ordering the Bearcat pizza for a group of people to share and it is quite impressive how much pizza they are able to produce in a single pan! The new location they opened up is pretty nice and decent-sized, and they'll open up the windowed dining area/patio to the outdoors when the weather is nice. I have yet to try anything else on the menu except for the pizza, but I am willing to give it a go.

Pizza is my favorite food on earth and Adriatico's does not disappoint. Located only a mile from my house with a convenient parking lot, I eat there probably once a week. The pizza is always delicious. Their sauce is probably the best pizza sauce I've ever had. They even have some fantastic beers on tap and you can fill a "growler" there and take it with you. It's also super cheap and they have free delivery. Definitely recommended if you want cheap, delicious pizza or just a fun night out. *edited this review because Adriaticos is my temple and deserves 5 stars.

While I have raved about the pizza at Adriatico's before, I had never stepped foot in their newer location on McMillan Street in Clifton. Back when I was a resident in the area and attending the University of Cincinnati, Adriatico's was on the other side of campus and wasn't somewhere to go for a sit down meal. A couple of weeks ago my wife and I met for lunch at their new space which opened at the beginning of this year. Once we finally found parking (do not park in the lot neighboring the restaurant, as this belongs to Pomodori's next door) we entered the restaurant and were immediately greeted by an employee who showed us to a table near along the windows on the McMillan side. It looks like some large garage doors can be opened on nice days, which this was not. There is a really good selection of craft beer available, and the menu has a lot more than just pizza. We definitely came for the pizza though. Having never had much more than the really large "Bearcat" pizza, I wasn't sure exactly what to order at first. But then I soon realized that the Sicilian style crust that the Bearcat is served on is available in other sizes. My wife and I easily agreed to split a Sicilian with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, and mushrooms. It was delicious, easily on the top of my list of pizza in Cincinnati.

Adriaticos pizza is amazing. The sicilian crust is so good. Toppings seem super fresh and their sauce is delicious. Only reason I cant give a rating of 5 is that it is very expensive. Would eat there alot more if the pizza was a bit more reasonably priced.

Loved this place. Found it on Yelp. Easy to find parking on a Saturday evening. Food was incredible from the garlic bread sticks to the deep fried pickles to the pizza and beer. Waiter and waitress were friendly. Prices were decent too. Highly recommended.

If you went to UC, you might have grown sick of The Bearcat: the pizza offered at each and every meeting/student/campus event. But, probably not. I'm so proud of this place morphing from a (shady?) take out joint next to a dry cleaners to a legit place I want to go-great selection of beer on tap, same great pizza, and a full menu if their pizza isn't your thing (who knew they have a thin crust?). I was concerned that in the move, they would not be successful-either the food, the atmosphere, something; but it seems it's all come together. The atmosphere is great-the patio area features a wall of windows that they open on beautiful fall days. It's also a great place to watch a game or hang out with friends. The service has always been acceptable. The pizza, predictable, and maybe one day I'll try something else. I did notice on a recent visit that they now have a whole case a gelato for dessert. O, and parking. Don't park in the lot next door; but there are few spots reserved for Adriatico's in a lot just past the restaurant.

I've tweeted about Adriatico's and given sooo many New Yorker's lip service on my favorite and much under appreciated pizza joint. While living in NYC, I said with a grin, "If you want the best New York Style Pizza, you have to go to Cincinnati." If you are a New Yorker or have the misconception the best pies are baked in the big apple, prepare for a food orgasm. The tangy (but not too much heat) pizza sauce flips a finger at the sweet tooth that inspires Larosa's Pizzeria and Skyline Chili. My favorite pizza in Cincinnati continues to be Adriaticos whose slogan should read "Better than New York Style, New York Style Pizza." Now that I have left the city again, Adriatico's is on my short list of must-eat destinations. Long overdue, this business has bloomed into a trendy, well designed full-dining experience featuring a full bar and a store front that opens up to create a patio atmosphere on warm, sunny days. I'm such a fan of their pies, that I've never ordered anything but drinks and pizza. But, word on the street is craftmanship of the additional menu items didn't fall too far from the tree. P.S. The haters of this perfect pizza creation are typically the ones who love Pizza Casseroles, aka Chicago style pizza. Don't be misled or discouraged!

The best and only place to get get good pizza and watch a game in Clifton. Adriatico's has a great selection of items on their menu; it ranges from ravioli to their gigantic signature pizza the Bearcat. I have had there pizza for years while at UC but had no idea where it was located until they opened the new location on Calhoun. The regular pizzas come with a choice of 4 different crust and almost endless toppings. The layout of the restaurant looks more like a pub but suits it well. The massive bar with over 40 rotating taps is upfront and next to it is a large chalkboard showcasing the specials of the day. Next to it are high tables then the seating area wrapping around the restaurant. What really makes the place unique are the large casement windows that go almost from the floor to the cealing. You are basically eating outside which is really cool. There are tv's all over and large projector on one of the walls. Pizza, Beer and Sports you cant really go wrong.

Cincinnati has lots of good local pizza options. This one did not impress and with my pizza obsessed roommate, I've gotten to know a lot of good ones. Maybe I'm being harsh because it's not cost effective and their thicker crust pizza is terrible. I won't try their pizza again outside of specials or happy hours.

Awesome deep-dish pizza, awesome beer selection, and great appetizers. It gets a little crowded because of its small space and can have a long wait at peak times because it's a so popular. Of all the pizzas from Cincinnati, this is the only one that I've actually missed.

    I. Love. Adriatico's. I live out in the burbs and I will gladly drive down to Clifton for this delicious food anytime! First, they have like 40 beers on tap which you just can't beat with a stick. So many options, such a big beer belly in my future. Then there's the food. We have had both their pizza and my beloved Zoni. Their meatball Zoni is outta this world good! We also tried the fried pickles on our last visit which I have never had before- I'm a fan. Service has been hit or miss for us, the first time the place was absolutely packed and we had great service. The second time, we were one of maybe 5 or so tables at 10:30 or so and the food took forever to come out and when it did it was lukewarm. They heated it up for us and it was fine but we were a little disappointed on that particular evening. Parking can be a pain if you are there during their dinner rush so plan for a few extra minutes of driving around to find a spot on the street. Overall- this place is one of my favorites!

A+ pizza from an A+ pizza shop! It seems appropriate that Adriatico's Classic New York Style Pizza and Delivery should make good pizza, it's in their gosh darn name after all! I love their New York Thick Sicilian Style pizza crust, it's their specialty and BOY is it a specialty for a reason! It's special! But it's on the menu, ALL THE TIME. Toppings range from the traditional pepperonis to the very untraditional taco chips and black bean queso spread YUM. They now have gelato and over 100 beers on taps, ready to drink and mighty cold! Or hot even if that's what you want! The staff here is wonderful, fun, AND helpful, especially when it comes to changing televisions! There are three televisions at this bar grill. All of them have cable! You can really tell the folks who work here put love, passion and hopes BUT NOT FEARS but definitely their pizza packed dreams into their work! Love it! Try the Dude Ranch Banana Pepper "HOLY SMOKES" Poppers with a side of Pesto Buffalo Beer Cheese, it's wonderful! The staff may attempt to tell you this is not on the menu, but my wife and I order it every time and are just blown away! If you enjoy video games this is not the place to go. They have no video games. There was this one place that had video games and an iguana though, but I think they got rid of the iguana or it died :( Love this pizza shack! Way better than frozen pizza and boxed wine and Dan Aykroyd's classic film Doctor Detroit! I give this pizza house five out of five BIG smiles! 5/5 :D *swimming pool on roof ;) *parking in a parking lot! *free magic show monday! *family friendly (Thomas loves their coloring board!) *community bulletin board w/ fun PiCtUrEs *coin laundry in basement *cats welcome (meow) *contact Barry Larkins for open house times and appointments 5/5 BEST ZA IN TOWN

Love the pizza sauce and the zito's . Service was very slow. The server could not get simple things right. Forgot a drink then took forever to bring it back. No straws. She was very slow on every thing. The house salad was good - it was a simple salad great for $3.75. I would try it again maybe just a bad night for the server .

This was my original review: I ordered Adriatico's for the first time last night when I didn't feel like cooking. First of all, $26.50 for a large pizza? It was definitely larger than I needed or wanted, but I could have gotten the same size and better pizza for less elsewhere. It was cold when it arrived, which was unfortunate. One of the toppings I ordered was no where to be found on the pizza. Worst of all the pizza was soggy. The entire middle of the pizza seemed like it had been dipped in water. Still, better than La Rosa's, but I paid way too much for a pizza that ended up in the trash. I gave it s shot two more times. While it was not soggy either time since, it was stone cold. Not cool. Wall too expensive for mediocre, cold pizza.

I'm all for expanding your business, but not at the expense of customer service. I'm trying to figure out were they always jerks or is it the new found fame? As far as I'm concerned the delivery services need work. I have even waited a year in between having food delivered and am still disappointed. It sucks to graciously tip the driver, only to find my order is wrong! I should have known when my initial call was greeted by a young guy with an attitude, that my order would be wrong. It was! So, when I call back I get a manager with an attitude! 2 for 5 on having jerks from Adriaticos help me. (I had a nice delivery guy.) I went in the next day with the food to show their mistake, how they gave me double pizza sauce instead of very light. Anyway, the cashier who greeted me was great, the manager he fetched was not, 3 for 5 on horrible customer service. I can hear a frown over the phone that's why I smile every time I answer the phone where I work. I work at a restaurant we would NEVER treat anyone the way Adriaticos treated me. I got my money back but didn't receive an apology. Now they have no way of know how much time we will no longer be spending in their dining room. Adriaticos needs to remember adults eat there as well, not just poor college kids who will eat anything! Oh by the way I am a very loyal patron, and an awesome tipper! Ba-bye! Adriaticos, you never make a customer feel bad about letting you know of your mistakes ! Its my money...

My family and I decided to get delivery from adriaticos because it's one of the few places who deliver to our home. In the past we ordered zinos and subs and thEy were lacking in sauce. However after the 45 minute wait, honey it was worth it. We ordered the supremo pizza on Sicilian crust and it was Fabolous!! It was like a pizza my granny would have made if she made pizzas. Pizza is definitely their forte!! The topping were huge and plentiful and the sauce was awesome. We also ordered buffalo chicken egg rolls which were awesome. The boneless wing medium sauce was a little on the bland side but overall it was a great experience. The delivery guy was chatty in a non creepy way. My only negative is this place is on the pricier side as far as comparable places. I would suggest this place again.

Great food and its easy on the wallet. Very filling. I have never had a bad dining experience here, dine in or carry out.

Adriaticos is solid pizza. I haven't had the famous Bearcat Pizza - partly b/c I've never gone with enough hungry people to eat it all, partly because I love their thin crust and you can't get the Bearcat with thin crust pizza. I've had the Supreme there, Chicken Pesto, and the Veggie. All are delicious. I was a little disappointed with how greasy the Chicken Pesto was since that should have been one of the "healthy" options, but pizza isn't particularly healthy to begin with, so I can't complain. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming super hungry because after two slices I started to hit my full peak, and 3 threw me over the edge. I'd like if they cut their pizzas into smaller slices so you could have a little more variety if you so chose, but it's so good that I'm sure I'll be back to try out more soon enough!

Spicy marinara, buttery garlic crust. Adriaticos is such a win for your mouth and wallet.

Tried this place with my coworkers since it is close to my work. They told me it was the best New York style pizza around but we had a true New Yorker with us who said that it was good but not New York style good. I ordered chicken buffalo hand tossed personal pizza which was very good if it wasn't for the piece of hair I found the minute my pizza was brought out to me. I am not easily grossed out so I removed it and dug in. I also ordered traditional breadsticks which were given out to somebody else and since they make those to order I got my pizza way before breadsticks came out. Our waitress apologetically took those off my bill which I appreciated since I couldn't even eat them any more. They have an extensive list of craft beer but I don't drink beer so I can't comment or review any of that. Overall, an ok place. Might go back if my coworkers convince me but definitely not my go to pizza place.

So I read all of these reviews and I had to try this place! I couldn't wait to eat some REAL NY pizza, as I was told by many, this place is the real deal. So junior and I hit the raod for Clifton. Beautiful spring day, so we sat outside. GREAT service and even better atmosphere. We order the NY style crust with peperoni. Pizza arrived in short time....... NY style? Really? Don't get me wrong, the pizza was tasty, but didn't resemble a NY pizza. I would say three stars on the pizza and five stars for atmosphere and service... NY style???

While the food is pretty good, I'd avoid coming on a weekend- the service is less than acceptable. We waited 2 hours for our orders and then when our food finally arrived they had forgot an entire pizza.

If I was rating Adriaticos on their food only, it would be five stars. Unfortunately their service is terrible. I have been eating their pizza for years. They would deliver to the wrong house, deliver the wrong pizza, or it would take forever to get the pizza. After my wife had given birth to my son, that night we ordered Adriatics. They were supposed to deliver to the lobby in 45 minutes. I told them I was wearing a reds cap, and a grey hoodie. After 30 minutes I went to the lobby to wait. I waited for 30 minutes then called to see if they went to the right lobby. They said yes and that the pizza would be here soon. I waited another 20 minutes and called back again, the ensured me that the pizza was going to be delivered shortly. 15 minutes later the pizza finally showed up. Last week we ordered carry out, and they told us 20 minutes. We got there right at 20 minutes, and of course it wasn't ready. We waiter another 20 minutes, then they told us 7 minutes. After 7 minutes, my wife was getting pissed, and asked for the manager. He couldn't even find the order anywhere and told us he would have to start one and it would take 20 minutes. It's truly a shame that e service is horrible and the food is great. We now just go to Pomodoris next door.

I can only echo what everyone else says ... decent pizza - sweet-spicy sauce, watery veggies, giant sausage chunks, unremarkable cheese, crun-chewy crust- great tap beer selection, albeit pricey, and shaky service. Parking is a nightmare, I dropped my family off and was going to call and pick them up again after not being able to find a spot that wasn't a 10 minute walk in the rain, but someone pulled out of their street spot right in front as I was pulling up, so I got lucky. The menu is standard pizza joint, and some of the tables are uncomfortably close together, All in all, it was fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. Based on the overflowing crowd, it doesn't look like they need me to.

This place offers delicious pizza. I usually get the Bearcat for feeding 8 people they are pretty prompt on delivery. They are familiar with a number of bars around University of Cincinnati for delivery fairly late on weekends. Great for when the bar stops serving food.

Some of the very best pizza in Cincy. Traditional, thin it doesn't matter. Great tap beer selection. It's right by the UC campus so parking is a little dicey sometimes.

My husband introduced me to Adriaticos several years ago, when they were a take-out only establishment. We would pick up a Zoni or pizza and take it over to Fries Cafe, his favorite UC bar. We were very excited when they announced their new storefront with sit-down service (although we will miss eating Adriaticos on Fries' terrace). We have been twice to the new store, and have had an excellent experience both times. Yes, we had to wait. You should have to wait for good food. But once we were seated, the servers/bartenders were prompt and attentive. I'm not sure why Adriaticos is getting such horrible reviews. The beer selection is AWESOME. And you can fill up a growler to take home for a reasonable price. My favorite local beer is Rivertown Blueberry, and they have it on tap. One day I will take 64 oz of this delicious treat home with me. We have had the breadsticks, pizza and the Italian Zoni, and all have been delicious. The sauce has a great kick to it, and the Zoni is absolutely enough to split. NO ONE should eat an entire Zoni by themselves. Your heart will thank you.

I moved away and I miss Adriatico's. It remains my favorite pizza. Typically, I order a large pizza with sausage, onions, and black olives. I don't know what it is, but it tastes different and so much better than any other pizza I've had. There is no skimping on the ingredients. Every morsel is so tasty.

This is my favorite pizza place in Cincinnati! I used to get the "bearcat" at least once a week when I lived there. I still crave the thick crust, tangy sauce, and huge pepperonis!

SLOW SLOW SLOW...everything in this place went slow starting from seating us ( actually it took them like 5 minutes to notice we were waiting to be seated) until we got our orders which was unbelievably long wait and in the end the pizza wasn't worth all that wait, it lacks flavor and there was nothing special about it. our waiter was also slow in understanding our complaints, he kept coming and asking us if everything was ok ( as an automatic question) and we were like ya only waiting too long for our food but he just didn't listen and ignored what we said and didn't even apologize! definitely not coming back. it's one of the worst pizza places around!

This is Adriatico's new location. Now, to be fair, I wasn't a fan of Adriatico's before the switch. I didn't like the pizza (it was literally the only thing that has ever given me heartburn in my life). You can read my review on the old page if you want a refresher. But this is the new location and have things changed? Yes...drastically! The food at this location is a much wider variety. Why? Because now Adriatico's is a sit down sports pub. The new location is nice, clean, and great for parties. The windows in the front of the store open on nice days to let in the cool air (though I hope that they have air conditioning for the hot and humid summer days). The food? Significant improvement. I don't know whether it's the new ovens, reinvigorated staff, or new recipes, but I think the food is much better than it was in the old store. Long gone are my days of heartburn from their pizza. I really like their calzones. My friends have said wondrous things about the wings too. All in all, a big step forward. But why 2 stars? I'm going to be frank, and I seriously hope the owners of this branch read this review, because I think it is important. I'm writing this as a former 4-year employee of a pizzeria (not in Cincy). I know how things work in the restaurant biz...everything from the kitchen, to service, to delivery. If anything, this is advice to the general staff at Adriatico's as much as it is a review to the general public. The service is abhorrent. Awful. Downright terrible. I have to be blunt, or else, the message won't get across. This hasn't been on one occasion. I've been to the new locations 4 times. My friends have been many more. We have gotten terrible (not even mediocre) service. Every. Single. Time. Now, this place/owners are new to the service aspect. That's fine. I hope they take what I am going to suggest in earnest, because otherwise, I fear Adriatico's will fall the way many of the other restaurants have in Cincinnati. There are already an abundance of pizza places in Clifton...it won't take long to lose a chunk of the market share. Restaurant service in Cincy (and especially in the Clifton area) is generally mediocre, at best. At least, that's what I've noticed. Here is where Adriatico's fell off the chart for me: My first visit to the new location was at 2PM during a weekday. The restaurant was practically empty of customers, but there were quite a few staff on hand. It took a while to be sat (given that there were 2 staffers just standing by the register/take out counter). The orders were taken. The server didn't know the definition of "craft" beer (and I wasn't looking for the best answer, but Miller is definitely not a craft!) Order was taken (I got a calzone.) It took over half an hour to get my food! This is 2PM...the slowest customer hour. That's simply inexcusable. Next visit: I went with a large party of people. Sat down at a reasonable time, orders taken. Again...food took well over half an hour, pushing more towards 45 minutes to come out. Yikes!!! Secondly, I was not asked if I wanted another beer until my glass was empty for a good 10 minutes. In that time, I decided I wanted a water instead. Checks took a while to come out after we clearly had finished eating (empty pizza plates, etc.) My other visits have been similar with no to only very slight improvement. I'm growing weary of the service. I want to come more often since the food is good, and warrants a 4- to 5-star range. And hence, I know of a few pizza joints I'd rather visit now before going here. Lastly, their price of alcohol on the whole is absolutely absurd. Some beer is priced at market value (for a restaurant) and now that they have hard liquor, some of their liquor prices are decent. I heard it was $6 for a carbomb (but I didn't order it so I can't confirm)...but that's a really good price if it's true. On the other hand, $6 for a pint of Sam's Seasonal? I can pick up a 6-pack of Sam's Seasonal for $8-9. That's utterly crazy. Now, if you're not in a rush and want a good slice and are looking to socialize with friends, Adriatico's is a fine establishment. Don't expect good service. If you get it, tip well. It's a rare occasion.

Adriaticos is our special treat. So far we've only done carry out. The past two Thursdays we've placed our order before leaving downtown and picked it up on the way to Tunes & Blooms at the zoo. Both time we were able to easily find a parking spot out front. The food was ready when we arrived. Both trips we got a large pizza half cheese and half pepperoni with breadsticks and cheese. The large was too much for three people. We finished most of it when we had five people. The also gave us plates and napkins to take to the zoo. On our most recent trip they had the front windows open. I can't wait to dine in someday.

My favorite place to go to in Cincinnati, great food with a great beer selection, and the staff is awesome too. This is always a place to go to watch anything UC sports related or if you feel like hanging out and getting something to eat or drink.

I really am a fan of Adriatico's pizza. I have constantly said that Cincinnati is really lacking good pizza, but Adriatico's was a nice surprise. I know it's been a UC staple forever but for some reason, I only recently tried it. What's even better is their beer selection! I love being able to have great craft beer with my pizza and I can do that at Adriatico's. I always make my own pizza with the Sicilian crust, sausage, banana peppers, green peppers and olives....yum! As for the service, it is slower but we're never in a hurry when we go so we don't mind it too much.

*** with qualifications: The goods: The pizza is tasty with a tangy sauce, buttery crust, savory sausage, and fresh veggies. Both it and the salad also are heaped with toppings (check out the Inflation Fighter), meaning the meals have a lot of bang for the buck. The restaurant is clean and attractive, with a wall of windows out front, several large TVs, and a large chalkboard with the beer list. The bads: Everything you've read about the wait and service is true. ATROCIOUSLY SLOW. I've been several times over the last few weeks, drawn by the food, but lunch shouldn't take over an hour and a half in a less-than-capacity restaurant. While it can work for some restaurants, patrons would probably prefer to not be handed off to three different servers during their visit (has happened nearly every time we've been). Worse, we went as a party of three Saturday night and, after waiting several minutes to be acknowledged, (and not by the lady at the counter who seemed to almost pointedly be ignoring us) we were given the definite impression they were stalling before seating us - hoping for a larger party to take the six-chair table, I suppose? The space is also noisy and narrow, hard to navigate for patrons and staff alike. I wonder how many beers and pizzas have been jostled and crashed to the floor? The beer prices aren't bad for most of the drafts, but some are steep. The food prices are also a bit high - this is one of those menus where every item feels like it's $1 to $2 too much. The quality is there, but you're paying for it. Also, not to nitpick, but don't post a sign for parking that leads to a lot where there's only four spots. We'll be back, because we truly like the pizza, but if the service doesn't improve, it's going to become a take-out destination only for those nights when we want to treat ourselves. That's a shame, but the service has been such that it's becoming an obstacle for someone who wants to be a regular patron...

I love this new establishment! There is an extreme amount of beers on tap. The pizza and calzones are amazing. This is a unique tasting sauce. A little spicy but sweet. We have been going to adriaticos for over 20 years and they only had take- out. We are so excited about the dining room. It's small but I don't care. It's beautiful! I only have one bad comment, .GET RID OF THOSE FRIES! Those french fries are the worst things I have ever tried! The are hallow tasteless draws of frying oil. Yucky! They do not pair with the other wonderful foods they have to offer.

The build your own calzone is fantastic. I got pepperoni, monzarella, Parmesan, mushrooms and green peppers. I also got a pint of vanilla gelato. All for $15.74. It's expensive, but the portions are great.

I was always wary about Adriatico's in the beginning, because their bearcat pizzas delivered to school wasn't always that great to me. But eating it there is a totally different experience! It's favorite go-to spot spot for pizza when I am near UC! Any pizza ordered there is always good, and the Sicilian thick crust is the bomb! Crispy and soft, just right! The red sauce is not too acidic and not too sweet. Just how it's suppose to be! All the apps there are phenomenal. Anything fried? Its perfectly crispy and the flavors are perfect. I recommend the fried pickles and their tots! Service is always good and a great selection of beers!

Best pizza in Cincinnati hand down! And awesome amount of beers on tap from all over the craft beer spectrum. Seating is a limited but it is worth waiting for the pizza here.

The bearcat pizza is a staple with friends at UC. Definitely the best pizza on UC's campus!

I'll be honest, I kind of stay away from Adriatico's somewhat because of all the UC traffic and students who are usually more than loud and detract from the atmosphere. BUT, the pizza and calzones here are fantastic. When I go pizza, I usually go simple with a pepperoni and sausage... delicious. When I recently went there we split a calzone since neither of us was absolutely starving. The bacon/pepperoni/green pepper/mushroom calzone we got was great. The crust couldn't have been better. Beer selection not usually too exciting, but they probably have a little something for everyone. Not the biggest fan of their ranch either (dewey's takes top prize on that).

Adriaticos has some of the best pizza I ever had and I don't understand why more people don't eat it and why they don't open more locations. The new location is great, I love the TVs and the outdoor sitting area. This is a good place to take your friends and share a large pizza with. The largest size is huge (the Bearcat) and can feed like 10 people! I'd recommend to anyone to try it.

*********NOTE************ if you don't read another review about this place read this one. I am an avid pizza lover. Anytime I travel, I make it my mission to find the best pizza and burger in any city/country that I go to. Having said that, this is, hands down, the best pizza in Cincinnati. By far. I've tried at least 2 dozen spots, most recommended by friends or people I know that grew up here. It trumps Mellow Mushroom, Dewey's, Romeo's, it humiliates LaRosa's. The toppings are insane. The crust is phenomenal. Even the end of the crust, that I usually feed to my dogs, I snub them and devour it. I have only had the pizza via delivery and pick up to take home. So I have no insight on the atmosphere or the ambiance inside the place. But, from what I hear, its not bad. I have eaten the Meaty (highly recommended for a first timer), the chicken pesto (tons of cheese and lots of flavor), and the bbq chicken pizza (great kick with the jalapeños). The pricing is a little on the high side, about $18 for a medium, but I would pay $30 for it if I had to. There is absolutely no reason to get pizza from anywhere else in this city other than Adriatico's. (unless your a deep dish lover and can stomach crappy Little Cesars).

I think my fellow Yelpers have made it clear Adriatico's is one of the better pizza joints in this town so no need to really go into the food. But I must say the buffalo chicken egg rolls are AMAZING! Normally, I order my Adriatico's to go or have it delivered but the bf and I decided to dine in for his first Adriatico's experience (he's a Cincy native; CRAZY!!!) The place was pretty crowded for an early Sunday evening but it was the thick of March Madness so there were people watching the game and lots of families. We were greeted at the door and brought to a high-top table smack in the middle of the restaurant between the bar and lower tables. Issue 1 for me: the place is just so small and the seating is not very well set up. Eating at a high-top table is just not comfortable. The service was also lacking which seems to be a common theme with a lot of the restaurants in the McMillan/Calhoun corridor. Our server was incredibly rude about getting my bf another iced tea as well as when we asked about moving from the high-top table to another, lower sitting table (which never happened). After enduring our meal with a couple who was hovering over our table and food while talking to their friends who had seats at the bar I made a mental note that I probably will not dine in here again.

I have to give this pizza restaurant two thumbs up. It started up in Columbus when I was on transport we would always eat there. When I found out that there was one in Cincinnati on campus and remodel I started to go more often. Hay the food is good the drinks are great and they have good customer service. I fully recommend this establishment.

Ordered a salad and breadsticks for lunch and had it delivered to work. Tasty breadsticks, but a very blah salad. No croutons? Really? Hmm. Ended up going to dine in the very next day with a friend, her pick. Had the breadsticks again, yummm! We also shared a large sicilian pizza with the table, very tasty. Would definitely get the breadsticks and pizza again, but not the salad.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
