We aunt and uncle are part owners of the Bowman & Landes turkey farm nearby, and frequent this place quite a bit. My sister and I were visiting from Southern California, and they brought us here for breakfast. Lots of good things were on the menu, including some of the best bacon I've ever had. We all had a egg and meat-type breakfast, so I got to sample a sausage as well. Generous portions of very good food at very reasonable prices await you. We even took a couple of homemade pies home for dessert that night. Be sure to stop by this little country kitchen if you're in the area!!

I'm going to have to side with the previous poster, they only seemed to cater to the locals and the waitress seemed to have an attitude. Then this guy kept staring at my family, I was very close to saying something how disrespectful. If you have never seen someone with Alzheimer's before what is the point in staring at them? The food was not much better. My catfish was like a piece of cardboard, but the pie on the other hand was wonderful. I won't be coming here again though. Not worth the trip out there. Never did get my to go box for the bread so I just left it there. I am all about keeping local business alive but when you have crappy service and rude people go to Bob Evans and avoid the drama.

Came here on a lark with my boys on a rainy Saturday. This is just a tiny little mom and pop operation, but so glad we stopped here. They had a surprisingly good variety on their menu- from homemade omlets and mush served all day, to amazing homemade meatballs. The highlight of this restaurant though is their daily made pies- there were at least 20 on today's menu. I can tell you from experience the butterscotch pie is to die for. As others have said, bring cash- but if you're looking for some good down home cooking this is the place to be.

Middle America food, when you are on Ohio. Homemade pies are best around, order the lemon meringue pie. Great comfort food meat loaf. The food depends on the special.

This place was recommended. It's in a small town and frequented by locals, you can tell. The food was good but the service was lacking. You can see how the waitresses cater to the locals, which we aren't. Our waitress was rather rude. We were eyed over and over by the locals and it was uncomfortable. Don't need to go back again.

Loretta's is about 35 miles from our home, but well worth the drive. It is a very pleasant drive if you use your GPS and meander the back roads. The food has always been delicious and the freshly made-in-the-restaurant pies are to die for. They have about 20 different favors every day. Hint-order your pie first to make sure they reserve a serving for you. In the evening, pies sell out fast. TAKE CASH!! It's all they take. Notice the hours, too. It's 6 AM-8 PM. Prices are very modest also.
