Such a mediocre salad. Some romaine, two scrawny olives and very musty shredded carrots. The lasagne was just ok. It would have been a bit better if it was hot. Can't see why people think the food here is so great.

Went to meet friends here for dinner... definately not my choice! Anyways, ordered the $15 deal they have on mondays, appetizer, chicken fettuccine, and salad. Salad and brushcetta app were decent.. but the chicken fettuccine was disgusting.. the fettuccine was thin like those noodles you het in a frozen dinner and were all clumped together.. I realize this is a chain.. but a high end chain k own for pasta... I ll stick with the 99 cent can of chef boy ar dee next time.... This place is terrible. . 1 star because service was good

I'm a bit shocked at the low ratings because this was one of my best meals during my business trip in OH. This was one of the best Italian franchise restaurants I've eaten at. Just got the Pasta Weesie (fettuccine alfredo with shrimp sautéed in a garlic, lemon butter, white wine sauce with sautéed mushrooms and scallions) w a diet coke. They brought over cheese and tabasco sauce as well as hot pepper flakes. I was a happy camper! Just wish I had enough room to eat the entire dish! Attentive service. PS - Their bread was good too.

Avoid this place til renovation is over. It's like a loud and uncomfortable cafeteria. I had great anxiety here today and this is a regular stop, one of my favorite places to eat. They have jammed many more tables into the center of the restaurant. I'm sad their quality has slid during renovations

WARNING: if you're hungry for a delicious Italian meal, this is not the place. Disappointed in any Italian restaurant that doesn't offer a meatball or sausage sandwich. These are only offered on the menu with spaghetti, not even listed as a side. Had to request bread with the meal. Mixed drink not as ordered. Salad absolutely drenched in dressing. More broccoli on the side than chicken in one entree. Another entree that was supposed to have chicken with the pasta had none at all. This pasta was also quite dry, no sauce over it. Service was slow, we waited for refills as the entire staff gathered at the bar to look at someone's cell phone. Large mirror over the bar is disturbing. Overheard other patrons complaining about their meals so we weren't the only unsatisfied diners. Everything is overpriced. If I could give zero stars, I would. Go down the road to Papa Bear's, a REAL Italian restaurant. You'll be glad you did.

Basically a step up from Olive Garden. Standard bread, really skimpy side salads, and standard pasta. Kinda disappointing I feel carrabbas has gone down hill a lot. We were there today and my son ordered the shrimp and scallops with linguini and he has 3 scallops and 2 shrimp. Are you serious??? This place is going down hill.

I am disappointed to give such a bad review of a place that I have generally liked every time I go. Unfortenetley I tried a few dishes that just weren't very good. The two stars I did give were for the service, it wasn't great but on Mother's Day it wasn't bad and the app we got which was the arancini. Those were quite good with sausage in them. I got the conchiglie al formaggi which is a fancy name for shell pasta and cheese sauce and my husband got the lobster Mac. I thought both were pretty bad, the sauce and the cheese like separated and I really didn't even want to eat it. My mom got the prosciutto wrapped pork tenderloin and that was pretty good, good flavor and cooked well. I guess I have just had good meals and experiences here in the past and this one let me down. Grated it was Mother's Day but I still can't let it slide. I will probably be back and give them another chance tho because I know for a chain it's pretty good normally.

Very disappointed and definitely not up to the Carrabbas in our SW Florida home. Over-salted main courses slapped onto plates. Dried-out pasta. Barely adequate mixed drinks. Good service and cold suds just don't compensate for so-so food. This franchised location needs a makeover.

The salad that came with our meals the carrots tasted like mildew or mold (didn't taste very fresh). The tea also tasted very old like it set for a few days. My fettucini alfredo was cold, also my moms lasagna was cold too. The food would have been okay if it wasn't cold, and the service was very slow. All I can say was the bread was good probably best part of the meal. Definitely wouldn't try it twice for the money.

Chicken Bryan is pretty good. Spiedino Di Mare is usually pretty tasty, especially with fettucine alfredo for the side. They have a great Caesar salad dressing IMO. When they have heirloom tomatoes in stock the Caprese salad is tasty, although light on the amount of tomato you get. I would definitely eat here but it would be my 4th or 5th choice for Italian in Canton. Not bad at all. Not great.

I love this place. I know it's a chain, but they got it right. Items to order while you are here: filet mignon, lentil sausage soup, calamari ricardo. Their pizza is pretty good. I like to sit up at the chefs table, they will usually throw you something if you are interested in what they are preparing. Delicious bread and oil while you wait. I have only had dessert there once, I'm usually to stuffed by the end of the meal. Oh and their blackberry sangria is that fire.

I've heard lots of people say Carrabba's is the best out of all the Italian chain restaurants, but after two experiences there, I am not really blown away by them. There are some things I do like - I'm a sucker for good bread/olive oil/spices and a caesar salad, both of which they do well. I ordered one of their tomato-based pasta dishes with spinach, artichokes, mushrooms, and chicken, and my husband had the lobster ravioli. I was pretty disappointed with my dish - nothing special, heavy on the pasta/light on the toppings, and something we both agreed we could have made better at home. My husband ordered the lobster ravioli, and as he said, they tasted 'pre-packaged' and like something we could have bought for half the price at the grocery store. Although the location is convenient and not as crazy as Belden Village, I think we will actually just stick with Olive Garden when we need a place to eat out and want some Italian food.

Four stars predominately for the service. The waitress was FANTASTIC with my 3 year old niece and gave her pizza dough to play with while waiting for our meal and she thought that was about the best thing ever. Food was standard for Carrabba's but it appears they got rid of my favorite salad since the last time I've been to a Carrabba's (sad).

  • Anonymous B.

Terrible, overpriced food. Wait staff was horrendous. Our server has Palsy or something, he was shaking so bad. Another server had her CHILD there while she was on the clock. Salad had WAY too much dressing on it. The chicken parmesan had one tiny little piece of thin chicken breast that was overcooked, the chicken bryan was the same thing. Appetizers were anything but appetizing. Will not be going back.

  • Cassi R.

I was forced to eat here due to a person in my party who had a passion for the place. I have no idea why. She ended up ordering a plain piece of chicken with a side of pasta. At the prices they charge I could have made 6 of those meals at home easily. I couldn't find a single thing on the menu that appealed to me. Same with several people in our party. I ended up with a 12 dollar salad that consisted of a single type of lettuce, onion pieces, a few tomatoes, and cheese. With an over the top lemon dressing for it all to swim in. I couldn't even finish it. People pay these prices for this stuff? We couldn't hear each other across the table with the noise of the dining room. So I'm not paying for ambiance. Only one person left that table happy. ..after a plain piece of chicken.

It was ok. We went on a Saturday night, didn't have to wait long, maybe 20 minutes. My food came out cold, everyone else's was warm and they said their food was alright. Our appetizer was good, but I don't know if I will be back.

I'm not sure why I hadn't reviewed this place sooner. I used to frequent this restaurant on a weekly basis when it opened. I moved out of town and now make it a requirement to revisit Every time I travel back to Ohio. Their wood fire pizzas can not be topped.

Three of us ordered the appetizer Calamari and main dinner of scallops/shrimp. Delicious food, service top notch, but 8 hours later THE WORST FOOD POISONING EVER! Never going back.

Decent place, only our 2nd time here in the last 5 years. They have call ahead seating, but no reservations. I would recommend this, because we didn't do the call ahead seating, and when we got there at 6:30 Saturday evening, we had a 90 minute wait. It took 30 minutes to fight for a seat at the bar just to be able to sit down and enjoy our drinks while waiting. They have a bar, but it's definitely not a full bar. There were things they didn't stock for various martini's etc. The folks that did use the call ahead seating still had between 40-60 minutes to wait. Totally unacceptable for the wait times for seating. Needless to say we each had 3 drinks while waiting to be seated, and their drink prices are through the roof expensive too. $8.50 for a martini, and $5.50 for a beer. $42 plus tips at the bar = $50. After finally being seated, food came out almost too quick, as if it were already prepared food, not freshly made. It was still decent, but we have had way better Italian, and for half the cost of last night. Total bill for the night....$129.00 for 2 people Not really worth it in my opinion. Will we return? Maybe, if we din't have to wait 90 to be seated, or even 45 minutes or so if we would have used call ahead seating. It would be different if they had seating for you while you waited. I guess that's what you get for eating at a chain restaurant though. Either way, they amount of money spent for a meal and a few drinks at a chain restaurant was ridiculous. There is way better Italian out there to be had for the same money spent.

I admit I am spoiled living in the SF Bay Area. But I would not recommend this place. I had salad with their house dressing, chicken masala with pasta. Everything did not have balanced flavoring... All too peppery. All of it. They stated that they had complaints about it and wanted to redeem it with a few apps... I think there is no excuse for a chef that does taste their own food.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
