The food here is decent, but the customer service is TERRIBLE!!! I waited about 40 minutes for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich when it was not crowded at all. At around a half hour of wait, I told the girl at the register that if it's not out in the next 5 minutes, to cancel it because I was already late to work. I gave them a second chance and this time I only ordered a bagel with cream cheese. It took about 23 minutes without a long line (only about 3 people in front of me.) I won't be going back because of this

Stopped in for lunch with some coworkers of mine today 10/13/2014. I ordered the Godfather, after ordering I was informed thy didn't have any olive oil and vinegar which wasn't a big deal, when standing at the counter waiting notice a german cockroach crawling on the counter, after seeing one I did see more. The sandwich was decent the egg salad is awful, I will not be going back here, someone needs to send a health inspector to this place. Customer service was horrible, very rude. The service may be normal for folks local to the area, but as an outsider from Colorado this is not what I would expect customer service to be like.

Ordered the American wrap (roast beef, turkey, American cheese lettuce and tomato) when I opened it up it was without cheese and with mayo. (I hate hate hate mayo, unless it's mixed into things like a potato salad or something I know I'm weird) speaking of potato salad... They forgot mine. I went back to the girl to get it. The girl who took my order was very nice. But those mishaps with my lunch really made me not want to go back. Did I tell you how much I hate mayo ? I hate it. Sorry you lost me bagel factory. Prices are a little steep too. In my eyes a wrap (on the smaller side) for over 8 bucks is too much.

I come here all the time for breakfast on the weekends. Bagels are pretty good, not the best in the area but the service definitely makes up for it. There is also a fairly large seating area which is nice when you want to stay and eat. One downside is that there are no free refills on coffee.

Much better than the current 3 star rating! I came here for breakfast as I was staying in a hotel around the corner and it was the closest option. I did not have high hopes but was hungry and in a rush. The bagels here were a pleasant surprise for sure. In fact I'd say they were better then most I have found in Rhode Island. I had the whole wheat everything with veggie cream cheese which I give two thumbs up to. The bagel was just the right amount crispy outside/ soft inside. The cream cheese had red and orange pepper mixed in and tasted great. I was also able to try a bite of the French toast bagel with strawberry cream cheese. I was very jealous. Actually tasted like french toast and possibly the best strawberry cream cheese I've ever sampled. The service was ok, the girl who took our order was friendly. The customers were ruder than the employees, at least during this experience. I'd definitely recommend giving the bagel factory a try, you never know, it may surprise you as well!

It's good but not great. It's clean but not spotless. This may sound silly but I've always felt that the store itself has poor feng shui.** It's narrow and deep. There are windows at the very front but none in the back. What can I say, stuff like that matters to me. When the weather is nice, there is outdoor seating. I am much happier outside than inside. As for the food, it's OK. The "lite veggie tuna" always gives me heartburn. I suspect it's due to the diced peppers. The bagels are good but not as good as Wally's on Deer Park Avenue. Sandwiches come with either potato salad or macaroni salad. Like everything else, they are good but not great. So basically your choices are salad, sandwich (doesn't have to be on a bagel), panini, or soup. A sandwich with pretzels or chips and a drink will cost you approx. $8 - $11. I personally would rather spend $10 at Chipotle and leave extremely happy, but if you're in the area and you're craving a sandwich on a bagel give it a try and let me know what you think. ** What is feng shui? This is a simple question that can be difficult to answer. Feng shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3,000 years ago in China. It is a complex body of knowledge that reveals how to balance the energies of any given space to assure health and good fortune for people inhabiting it.

I'm from NJ and needed a spot for breakfast. Found this spot and decided to try it. Service was great. Food was good. Can't really say anything bad. Can't really say anything extraordinary. I had a good omelet and satisfied my breakfast food craving.

Great great great iced coffee, for probably the cheapest prices i've seen at a bagel cafe around here! Love how its also separated from the area where you order your food, so its not so crowded! Also the staff is super friendly. I dont recommend going during the typical business hours because there is nowhere to sit if its cold outside (they have outdoor seating). But overall love the bagels too!

Service is great the bagels are excellent and the prices are average compared against other bagel places in the area. They also have tasty coffee ;)

Hidden in the corner of Airport plaza this facility is large with outdoor seating and a large selection of bagels. There is a salad bar, grill specials, wraps, breakfast items, and a selection of specialty sandwiches. The salad bar is popular during lunch time. I had a pressed pannini on ciabatta with balsamic, eggplant, grilled chicken, and fresh mozzarella. Preparation took about 6 minutes. Came with a small side of pasta or potato salad. I tried the Pasta salad, which was a little heavy on the mayo for me. Sandwich really was excellent, the chicken breast was a generous helping and made from real chicken. Food was certainly substantial and very filling, no fluff. My $8.15 went a very long way here. For the sandwich. For $4.20 I also got a 12oz iced coffee and a chocolate chip cookie. Coffee was self serve. I was highly satisfied with the cookie, just was really good. Overall very good experience here.

45 minutes of wait time for an order, despite being only 1.5miles away. When it finally arrived they forgot 2 bagels and a coffee. The customer service was terrible, they gave us an attitude when we were placing our order. The food was mediocre and some were outright ridiculous -see cheese fries picture

Wow, I was expecting a pretty good lunch here at the bagel factory. The flies outnumbered the rude staff. Flies in the salad fridge, flies on the bagels, flies everywhere. Just left without eating, but I took some pics of the flies!

The food is ok but not any better or worse than any other bagel place on Long Island. Wish I could give them 0 stars for their customer service. The lady who takes the orders on the phone has got to be the most miserable person on the planet. Just absolutely rude. Not to mention she double charged my debit card for the order I placed. The delivery guy took over an hour to get our order to us that I just gave up and went directly to the store. I saw him taking his time with a cigarette and loading up the delivery van at the slowest pace possible. Best part was when I told the lady that she double charged my debit card and showed her proof from my bank, she gave me the biggest attitude like I was the one who caused my problem. Um hello? It's called do your job correctly and we wouldn't have this problem. Next time just skip this place and go to any other bagel shop. They'll actually be happy to have you business unlike Bagel Factory.

I came here on my lunch. It was so crowded and took about 15 mins to place my order. I wanted an egg bagel with chicken salad plus it comes with a small potato or macaroni salad. I ordered the macaroni which was so good. Once I got back to the office I opened my sandwich and realized they accidentally gave me an egg bagel with egg salad. I called them and the lady was very friendly and offered to have the correct order delivered to my office. Although it was inconvenient to get the wrong order I appreciated the fact that they were nice enough to fix the problem. Plus they even threw in a free potato salad! I will definitely come back.

Working in this area everyone seems to insist on ordering from this place for breakfast. Today it stops. Whenever we order we always have an issue with the time it takes to deliver the order, the lack of all items being delivered or the fact that it's completely cold. One would think that in hot weather like we have been having here you would be able to receive hot food BUT today is the kicker... Today we ordered at 8:53 am... Received our food at 10:18 am and left out one small thing... MY PART OF THE ORDER... I've called back and requested to have breakfast that we were charged for to actually be sent out and at 11:20 am... I am still waiting. Good times. Really good times. I've given Bagel Factory several chances. I am over it. Sorry. So as for the excuse that one person who is packaging doesn't relay the message to the person who is checking off the order, THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE nor do I care at this point. Thanks. I guess I can just order lunch at this point.

The bagels here are on par with any place on Long Island. I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich at 11am on a Sunday and the roll was stale (probably day old) and they forgot to add the salt & pepper that I requested even though the receipt I received had it circled. For the price the egg sandwich was totally not worth it. Next time I am in the area, I will just stick to the bagels here or maybe try out one of their salads as those looked pretty appealing. PS The place is a little bit hard to find and is tucked away behind the PetSmart, very close to the airport runway.

  • Brian W.

If I could give zero stars, I would. As Long Island bagels shops go, this one is the bottom of the barrel. The place looks like it's not very well cleaned regularly, as there's a layer of dinge over everything. The food is nothing special. Bagels are below average at best. But worst of all is the customer "service." There is no way on this earth that an egg sandwich should take more than 2-3 minutes to make. I don't care how busy the place is, what day it is, what time...making paying customers wait 20 minutes or more for a simple order is painfully ridiculous. I eventually gave up and left. Speaking as a lifetime Long Island local, this place is the WORST example of what a bagel shop should be. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Overall the food is great, there are many choices for breakfast and lunch. I got the salad but I got way too many toppings, and it was too salty for me. But I would definitely go back and order something different!

  • Kaitlan D.

If I could I would give them no stars. Horrible customer service food is completely over priced and is not that great. Always mess up the orders and a coworker of mine has ordered a drink and at the bottom of her drink was a cockroach. Place is filthy dirty. God forbid i asked for cheese on my egg sandwich since they messed up that order they didn't make a new sandwich. Their menu says pickle and coleslaw with their sandwiches but they charge for a pickle. This place just sucks overall. I'd rather go to Starbucks or panera down the road.

Right around the block from my office, so I come here often. Excellent bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Lunches are always great too. I've ordered multiple wraps and paninis from the menu and never had a bad one. They are a little pricey, but all the delis in Melville are.

if I could give this a negative I would. nothing special about this place. but the service was the worst I have ever had. I placed my order then paid for it and stood there waiting for my food. the girls at the register kept moving my tray while they kept getting orders from the kitchen. I had to ask for my food and it was never put in. I will never go there again, there are enough bagels places around that I would be willing to go out of my way for

    (1)
  • Jeff D.

Can't even give it any stars. Wish they had the option of giving it negatives.... Worst breakfast me and my friends ever had in our lives.... Sandwiches were made like they were going to be handed out in a homeless shelter... My drink was better than my breakfast.... Went there with a friend & bought a friend of ours on an interview breakfast and everyone wanted to throw up after eating..... Btw this was my first time going there.....awful experience....

This is an excellent bagel store in Farmingdale. NY. It's hidden and hard to find ,but when you do find it ,you won't be disappointed. Very good bagels and bialys. Good salads and lunch specials. Good breakfast sandwiches on a bagel or a roll. Very important good coffee. Turn on your GPS

I left a scathing review yesterday and wanted to amend it. I walked out due to a bad experience and never got a chance to place my order. A girl behind the counter allowed 2 people to pass me in line. However, I sent an email to the business about my experience minutes after my yelp review. I didn't do it for a free lunch, but to make him aware of his employee's actions. I received an apologetic professional email reply from the owner and it shows that he takes customer service very seriously. I always feel it takes a lot for anyone to apologize and "be the bigger person" in order to learn from their mistakes and get past a bad situation. That is exactly what happened and I commend the owner for taking it to heart. I have eaten their before with my kids and the food is pretty good, and the prices are reasonable.

  • Shey A.

Food is good, prices are average, service is hit or miss depending on who is helping you. With so many deli's offering almost the same kind of food you'd think the managers will try to pay more attention to their customer service. The girls at the register need to either train a little bit more or change jobs to something they enjoy doing because they could be very rude. I gave this place so many chances and it seems that i always leave with the same feeling... service could be better.

  • Soheil E.

This place has decent bagels. However lack of customer service is very obvious. These people are dry, unfriendly and rude. The guy took my order and treated me as if I was a 4 year old, then he tells me he meets me at register, never shows up there and put his jacket on walks away like a boss. I was standing confused what just happened. This place is good for truckers and contractors who work very hard and don't care about customer service. Try it out for yourself and you will see. The cashiers were even worst than the guy who took my order. Again very dry and unhelpful, doesn't even acknowledged me and no thank you or nothing! Last time here... Kind of like pay get your food and get out! There are other bagel shops around the area much better service!

Good bagels. Hard to write a good review because all I ordered was two plain bagels w/ cream cheese but it didn't disappoint. Plenty of seating and the service was fast.

Very good fresh bagels and top notch sandwich creations. Hubby craves for the everything bagel toasted with veggie tuna salad and I like to keep it interesting, requesting for my Frenchy to be paninied ;) Very nice

  • Tina K.

Hubby gets bagels here every Saturday, I thought it would be the place to go for egg sandwiches. NOT!! I specifically order 3 yolks only with extra cheese and bacon on 3 sandwiches, was charged $3.00 more for this....was written the right way on order reciept....but that's NOT what I got. 2fried eggs, 1 slice of cheese and bacon....only thing good about this sandwich was the bagel....what a rip off at $$16.00!!!! Not going back there again.

Going to Bagel Factory is basically my ideal Sunday morning. Sure it's a bit pricey, sure it's a bit slow, but something about the environment is just so cozy and comforting. If you're in the mood for a bagel, there's a ton of different options from salt to french toast to low carb. There's tons of cream cheeses too, although I'm more of an egg sandwich kinda gal and there's plenty to choose from in that department as well. If you're in the mood for a sandwich, there's a full selection here too, all with fun, airport themed names. Tried the Stampede sandwich and it was delicious. Another wonderful thing at Bagel Factory is the salad bar. It's like those places in the city where you choose your lettuce, bring it up to the counter, pick whatever you want added from about 20 different toppings, and watch someone mix and chop your meal before your eyes. So fresh and so custom. Also, there are dried cherries, which are my favorite salad topping EVER. Mmmm. Additionally, there's a to-go fridge loaded with fresh fruit and veggies and a few other items. I tried the cup of berries and, not only was it insanely fresh-tasting, but there wasn't even ONE SINGLE dud blueberry in the whole cup! Not one! The included coffee cup lets you go a little crazy at the counter. It reminds me of how I used to be at a soda fountain when I was 6 or 7. I'd just go nuts, mixing every single thing they had: part Sprite, part Coke, part Diet Coke, part Orange, part Grape, part Mountain Dew, etc. The coffee counter at Bagel Factory is just like that. I start to get that little kid feeling. Last time I mixed 1/2 coffee, 1/6 hot chocolate, 1/6 French Vanilla (French Vanilla what? I'm not sure but I like it), and 1/6 cappuccino. This whole thing will probably lose its novelty in a year or so but, for now, it's exciting and basically a grown up, breakfast version of a soda fountain. All in all, I just love being at this place. And it really seems like whatever you're in the mood for, Bagel Factory's got it and got it right.

We, and by we I mean me and my entire family of 17 people along with countless friends, have been going to this place for years and years. I think it might be under new ownership, because there's a guy there (who might be the owner, not sure) who is the rudest person I've ever come across in any place of business. EVER. Unbeknownst to me, my son grabbed a bag of potato chips and brought it with him to our table. After I'd paid for our food but before I'd had a chance to sit down and notice the chips, this employee accused me of stealing the $1.50 bag of chips. I explained that it was an honest, innocent mistake, but he loudly repeated his accusations and called me a liar in front of everyone there. Needless to say, it was humiliating and embarrassing. I would never intentionally steal anything, and my son felt awful about the whole thing. NEVER again will I or any of my friends or family set foot in that place. They have lost a HUGE amount of business forever.

I called to place an order at around 10 o'clock the woman who answered the phone was very courteous and polite. She was very attentive and did not rush me to place my order at all, the thing that got me was it took almost an hour to get a sandwich and a order of French toast. The French toast and the home fries were on point DELICIOUS. My only problem was with the sandwich, I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a hero the lady suggested 3 eggs so I said why not. I did not realize that if I ordered more eggs they wouldn't have the common sense to add another sausage. They had the audacity to give me one sausage on a hero with 3 eggs to make matters worse they cut the sausage in half and put it all the way in the back of the sandwich. I would recommend anyone that orders a hero to make sure if you get extra eggs to tell them specifically to give you more than one sausage or your going to end up eating a BREAD EGG &CHEESE like I did

Ah my SUNY Farmingdale days! Located between Bed Bath and Beyond and Dave and Busters in Farmingdale in the Airport Plaza. A buddy of mine from high school told me about this back in 2008, it soon became a weekly visit my freshman year. They have great breakfast sandwiches, the egg and cheese are great, the bagels and cream cheese are fresh, and they are quick in taking orders. The line maybe halfway through the store but you'll wind up in the front within a min or so. Its been a while since I went but I believe their was a either a $5 or $10 minimum for credit/debit purchases.

The place is alright for a subpar long island bagle shop; however, after eating their lotkas my stomach became cerossive and upset. I had to take the biggest shit of my life. It was like had ingested a 10 gallon bottle of hersey syrup that was about to pour out of my ass. I hastily sped walked to the bathrooms. Clenching my ass cheeks for dear life. I made it to the toliet where I can finally relax my sphincter and release the bowls of death. I was in there for a good 45 mins. My ass transformed into Niagara Falls.. Just instead of water - shit. My ass became a steaming chocolate waterfall. Could've catered it at a fancy wedding, the flow of excretion was so vast and continuous. I digress, there was shit everywhere the wall, floor.. Even the ceiling. But the most importantly my hands. I tried to wash but there was no soap. Asked the girl at the he register and she looked at me horrified and said only soaps for employees only. Couldn't beleive how cheap they are.. And cruel. You know how embarrassing it is to be seen in public with shit on your hands. Anyway good bagle place.. Would've given it 4 stars if they only had soap.

I'm totally into trying new bagels places. This one was just run of the mill. And every breakfast sandwich I ordered for my group was slathered and swimming in butter. The only plus I can give them is they had french toast bagels. Maybe I'll give them another shot one day.
