Santa Fe Bite

Reviews:
I'm happy to be the first reviewer of the new location for Santa Fe bite. The wife and I stopped in for a green chili cheeseburger and green chili fries today at lunch. It was I must say the best green chili cheeseburger ever. We also indulged and split a chocolate milkshake. Again the best chocolate milkshake ever. It was so sick and topped with whipped cream that it was hard to eat through a straw. It had no milk added and seemed like the richest chocolate ever. The owner and staff were attentive and the outdoor seating was covered and cool. Try Santa Fe bite you won't be sorry. Took a photo on the way out of the new sign.

Gold Dust Restaurant

Reviews:
We go here at least once a month for some of the best food around. Unpretentious atmosphere, never too busy, somewhere in between fine dining and a family restaurant. One of the best kept secrets in the area. We have never had a bad experience, waitstaff is amazing! Extremely reasonable pricing, and some really good specials. Basic, delicious food!

Adobe Abode

202 Chapelle St
Santa Fe, 87501
Reviews:
We loved the Adobe Abode so much back in 2004 that we chose it for our latest trip to Santa Fe. This time we moved to the spacious Cactus Room behind the inn's main building (a converted family home). Breakfasts were always tasty, and tend to include an egg casserole, muffin or sweet roll, and fresh fruit. The rooms are just lovely, and are on a quiet street that is very close to the Plaza. I'm sure we'll be back again someday!

Burke Walter Catering

1209 Calle De Comercio
Santa Fe, 87507
Reviews:
I've used Walter Burke for numerous events over the past 10 years, usually for in-home parties and family weddings. I've always been extremely pleased with every aspect of their services, and my most recent in-home party was no exception. I hosted a Day-of-the-Dead costume party in my home for friends and neighbors. I was approached by numerous of my guests telling me the food was wonderful. I specifically wanted this party catered so I would be able to fully participate with my guests and know that after the party the clean-up would be minimal, and indeed this was exactly what occurred.

Reviews:
Eduardo and his team are impeccable in the food presentation, service and food preparation! At the last minute I decided to have a BIG birthday celebration at my rural home south of Santa Fe...in less than three weeks, Eduardo did EVERYTHING , and provided the perfect tent for a chilly , windy evening...!...everyone commented about how lovely his team was...and the food was exceptional...and the service so unobtrusive !! Best of all...the African drummers captivated the gathering, and I had a wonderful dance with Eduardo!!! Enjoy!
Excellent customer service! Eduardo is warm, personable, and very accommodating. They can customize your menu for any dietary need or event size. And they always shop local first!
Eduardo and his husband, Joaquin were the perfect choice for our rustic (read: in the middle of nowhere) wedding in Truchas. We wanted our wedding to be a grander version of the house parties that we typically throw and CNCC made that vision possible. They were both so attentive, easy to work with and loved food as much as my husband and I do. When another caterer told me that family style service was more expensive because of the additional dishes, CNCC didn't blink. I knew right away from the warmth in Eduardo's tone that I was making the right decision and could give him my stress about making sure that the food for our big day was perfect. I'm hoping to not have to do it ever again, but if I did, I'd absolutely make sure that CNCC was there for it. Thank you Casa Nova!!

The Bobcat Inn

442 Old Las Vegas Hwy
Santa Fe, 87505
Reviews:
Note: no actual bobcats were harmed while writing this review! I'm just playin'. Stayed here on our "Cosmic Cowgirls Go West" vacation--yes, we name our vactions--and this was by far the best of the places we stayed! Super super cute, breakfast is amazing, owner couldn't be sweeter and the location was perfect for us. It's within walking distance of the Bobcat Bites restaurant. We stayed in the Cowboy Room with its tall comfy bed, private bath, private fireplace and bay doors that open to the courtyard. We had snow one of the nights we were there which was absolutely stunning. I will post a photo. The location is about a mile out of Santa Fe proper, and the views of the mountains are lovely. The courtyard was not blooming since we were there in January, but it was still pretty. There's a fountain and fire pit. And there's an actual bobcat trail that runs behind the inn where bobcats are actually spotted in the spring. They offered us some snowshoes to hike up the trail, but we were too lame to do it. Breakfast each morning was different and restaurant quality. We had a hot egg and meat dish each morning along with toast, granola, yogurt, cereal, fruit salad, juice, hot tea, milk and coffee. We didn't even need lunch becuase we ate so much breakfast. They have a comfy breakfast area that will seat all the guests at once if neccessary. The owner, Ann, knew all the best places in town to dine, shop and sight see. This was the perfect place for us to stay. And if you've priced rooms in Santa Fe, you know that you can pay upwards of $300 a night for a standard room easily. Rooms at Bobcat Inn range from $99 to $149!
My review is for the Casita right in the center of Santa Fe, by the Plaza. When I called to inquire about the availability of the inn, I was informed that all the rooms were booked but there was a private Casita available in town center for the same price of a room. Closer and larger lodging for the same price?? Heck yea! When we arrived at the Casita I was blown away. It is SOOO cute and so close to the plaza. (We regularly walked to the Plaza for dinner and breakfast.) Casita has parking right by the front door and is located on a quiet, beautiful, private street so we felt safe. Inside the Casita was a good space kitchen, a separate dining room, a cozy bedroom with a skylight, a vanity/dress area, a nice size bathroom, a living room with cable tv, and a great front yard completely gated and set-up ready for a bbq (they even had coal inside the grill). The place was extremely clean and perfect for our needs. I would 100% come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a great, affordable place to stay at while visiting Santa Fe.
My husben and I stayed at the bobcat inn for three night the room we had was clean and beauitful the host amy is a amazing cook ,helped us fine places we wanted to go and was a very sweet person we really enjoyed our time there and yes yes we will go back thanks

Sol Cafe

802 Canyon Road
Santa Fe, 87503
Reviews:
Without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants. I could not believe that it was not on this site yet! It may still be a little bit of a Santa Fe local secret. Sol was once a small offshoot of the larger, and better known, Canyon Restaurant. When the Canyon closed its doors, its head chef and manager moved over to the cafe. Now, Sol Cafe is an amazing place to eat good food, and to meet with friends. The staff is friendly and young, the food is reasonably priced (especially by Canyon road standards!) and extremely good. One thing to keep in mind though is that during the winter months it gets a bit crowded, as the cafe is quite small. However, during the rest of Santa Fe's beautiful seasons you should enjoy their outdoor patio!! A great treat for anyone looking for a restaurant in Santa Fe which is off the beaten path.

Santa Fe Stay

636 Garcia St
Santa Fe, 87505
Reviews:
Santa Fe Stay has a number of excellent, well-maintained and fabulously equipped properties in Santa Fe, available for daily, weekly or longer-term rental. My husband and I stayed at the 636 Garcia Street #3 guest house for the Christmas holidays, and found the casita to be warm, inviting, spotless and filled with everything you could want for a few days of exploring The City Different. It's a short walk from Canyon Road and The Plaza, the two magnets that are must-do's while visiting here. The kitchen is small but contains everything you need, from coffee maker to microwave to stove and oven (gas). Plenty of dishes, linens and a full spice rack, plus emergency rations like pasta and tunafish. The floor is brick throughout, the furnishings are plush and comfy, and there are two enormous oversized chairs for reading in the kiva-fireplace dominated living/dining room. A big wooden table can seat up to 8 easily, and the sofa is a queen sleeper. The view of the sunny courtyard is charming and inviting in the front, which faces east, and there's a small patio out the back for relaxing in warmer weather. The bedroom is spacious with copious closet areas and multiple dressers and the Queen bed is firm and wonderful. There's a skylight above the bed with a screen to allow sleeping in! The bathroom is tidy and cozy, with a window letting in all the glorious morning sunshine. All in all, this is a delightful casita, with a southwestern feel and modern conveniences like satellite TV, WiFi and a BOSE sound system. There are plenty of books to browse and the quietude of the place is marvelous, Would definitely stay here again!

Don Gaspar Inn

623 Don Gaspar Ave
Santa Fe, 87505
Reviews:
Don Gaspar bed and breakfast is a delightful stay in many ways. My husband, 4 year old daughter, and myself stayed there for 2 nights in July. The summer is such a wonderful time there because the flowers are in bloom and they're everywhere. The B&B has an enchanting secret garden likeness that is fun and beautiful for all ages. Upon arriving we learned that the large room (the territorial) was not available to us, as we had thought upon booking, because someone else had booked it hours before we did. As a result we ended up in the Kachina suite which was smaller but cozy and pretty. I've stayed in a handful of B&Bs over the years and this room was big by comparison. Big bathroom, big bed, table with three chairs, couch and coffee table, armoire with fridge and tv, and a table with coffee beans, grinder, pot, and microwave. What more could you want? The bed was insanely soft and comfortable. From the minute you slip between the sheets it's hard to will yourself to get out. So scrumptiously comfortable. However, the brightness (or lack of total darkness at night) might keep you awake a bit. There is a shade on the door that helps darken it (you can go lighter or darker) but light still creeps in. I'm used to a pitch dark room for proper sleep. Time for a sleep mask. The bathroom was beautiful with stone tile, jacuzzi tub, and plush towels. Plenty of closet space, too, along with a small safe. The service is extremely pleasant. The breakfast each day was pretty good. There was bread for toast, butter and jams, granolas, juices, coffee, tea, water, fruit, yogurt, and a hot dish for the day. I'm not sure if the hot dishes were homemade and I'm going to go out on a limb and say they weren't. They were tasty nonetheless. If I could wave my magic wand, there would've been more hot options, perhaps a person making some things by request. I know, a lot to ask, but not unheard of with B&Bs in Santa Fe it seems. Wifi was adequate but that might depend on the room you're using. The adobe thick walls were great for keeping things quiet but our room was not on the street so I can't speak to that. Don Gaspar B&B is a place I would visit again and I'm eager to check out their other property in Durango, CO.
Absolutely loved this place! Patrick and Anna provided outstanding hospitality (and excellent breakfasts!!). We have stayed at the Turquoise Bear for years and decided to try something new (as the TB changed owners). We were very pleasantly surprised and pleased with the Don Gaspar Inn. Room (we stayed in the Courtyard Casita) was excellent with a small kitchen and refrigerator - beds outstanding, bathroom spotless, daily service excellent, great parking. Overall this was a great experience and we will absolutely return (soon!!).
Fantastic inn. The garden in the back was a phenomenal surprise and the innkeepers were very friendly. The perfect amount of friendliness, too. Not so talkative that you felt stuck in conversation and not so stand off-ish that you felt like a stranger. All separate entrances to the rooms which feel more like houses than a typical room. And the food in the morning was exactly what I needed. I plan on staying here many more times.
