Friendly, attentive waitress; fresh, home cooked food; locals are regulars. Salsa was flavorful, green sauce had just the right amount of bite. Shredded beef and chicken tacos were outstanding; beans and rice were tasty. Lordsburg is a good stopping point to eat on our cross country trips!

Great food. Great service. EZ access from the highway on our way to Tucson from El Paso. If you are looking for tasty food and don't want that fast food junk, this is your spot. Family owned and operated

Such nice servers, quick service, great value for the money. You can see them right in the kitchen cooking it up. It was 3pm on a Monday and the place was full of people chowing down on their homemade salsa. I had a huge combo plate #1, so good (except for the tamales). It is in a ran down home looking building right next to the ran down motel...but come eat here you won't be disappointed.

Stopped in whilst on a road trip and was not disappointed! Hubs and I both ordered chimichangs and they were delicious. When hubs asked for extra cheese not only did they bring a good sized portion; they melted it for him, brought it out on a plate, and added it to his chimi. You just don't find service like that in the big city. Thanks for a pgreat lunch experience Ramona's!

Someone in their kitchen knows how to cook! As plant-based foodies, we are usually able to order veggie options...but not as excellently cooked. We asked for a modified diced potato "stacker", the delightful waitress suggested veggies to add...and what was served was a plate of deliciousness. Yum!!!

Amazing tamales con huevos with red chili sauce. Amazing! My husband had a really good Huevos Rancheros, but he was super jelly of my tamales.

I travel all over the West for work and end up in some very small towns. Ramona's is the best Mexican food I've encountered in my travels. Hands down. The salsa is fresh, delicious and sometimes spicy! Yum! All of the dishes I've had at Ramona's have been flavorful. If you're going to pull off the interstate for a bite to eat, this is the place to do it!

This place is a hidden gem off I-10. Don't let the rough exterior fool you. The food beats the pants off truck stop fast food. We had enchiladas with rice and beans. They were great! E-Z off and back on the interstate. Don't eat junk food if you are in the area.

You never know where you will find FANTASTIC FOOD!!!! We were traveling to Albuquerque and stopped in Lordsburg to eat. We did a search on MapQuest and came up with this gem. Tiny family owned cafe. .... Lots of Mexican's eating lots of food. Great green and red chile sauce! Home made chips..... WORTH going out of the way for an evening's meal! AAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++++

Not sure why all the yelping about this place. Pretty typical small town mom and pop Mexican. Decor and ambience don't matter or count, only cleanliness, service and food quality do. As a veteran of such food this joint was below par. Greasy tacos folded around some mysterious gray slab, a grainy tamale, a dry-ish chicken chimichanga, standard rice and refried beans. 2 stars at face value, +1 for service, -1 for the day after intestinal distress. YMMV.

Great find on the road! This time yelpers got it right! Friendly service and good food! Seriously a mom and pop feeding the locals! Don't pass it up!

Even tho yelp isn't very popular in this area, I was still quite surprised to find that Ramona's wasn't given the credit it deserves. With that being said Ramona's is by far the best restaurant in town. At first it seemed skeptical, being the size of a one car garage and all, but let me assure you the food is AMAZING! I've been a couple times while on my trip and each time it was better and better; from the chips and salsa to chimichangas and even chicken fried steak you won't be disappointed. Besides being really small and the occasional long wait for a table (especially during the lunch rush hour) there isn't any flaws with Ramona's. I highly recommend to anybody passing thru town. The worst part of your visit would be deciding what to eat, Everything is great!

One of the places you just can't tell from the outside but so glad for these days of Yelp and UrbanSpoon. Four stars for the perfectly yummy mexican food in a pretty beat up town and one of the sweetest servers we have ever had anywhere. Just left Las Cruces and this place totally tops the highly rated mexican place there...Rellanos are awesome.

We had breakfast and loved it. I had the huevos ranchero with green chili sauce. Didn't realize the green chili sauce had meat in it, next time I will request no meat. The green chili sauce was spicy and good. Service was great. Place was small but clean. Clean bathrooms.

Ramona's is a family owned and run little restaurant w a pleasant, homey, local feeling. The salsa and Chips were excellent. They had homemade chicken soup as the special. My enchilada was good and so was my husband's burger. The waitress was super friendly and efficient. It was a very nice stop. The only down side was no cerveza w my Mexican food but even that worked out because the Horcheta was awesome.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
