Honestly great tasting sandwiches, salads, soups, and potatoes. Affordable and pleasant to eat in. What more could you ask for? OH WAIT - THERE'S MORE If you are a NMSU student, show them your Aggie ID, and you will get a free Iced Tea. If you are Military, show them your ID and you get any drink for FREE! On Whisper Wednesday, they give away a different item from their menu for FREE each week, just check their facebook page. They offer vegetarian options, gluten free, and vegan choices. I love going here with my friends to hang out and talk for an hour or two. Great place to brainstorm.

Great service, terrible Reuben. A good Reuben has a layer of corned beef topped with Swiss cheese and a layer of sauerkraut with a smear of thousand island or Russian dressing on rye. The whole thing is then grilled or toasted. What I received was an off-center blob of sauerkraut, a wad of corned beef, two slices of rye and some sort of indistinguishable sauce slightly warmed over. The pickle spear was quite good. The cole slaw was far too little to accompany a sandwich of such a price, and also not particularly toothsome. Once I got the stuff home I added some mayo, sugar and vinegar to the "slaw." I added some more sauerkraut, evened out the toppings, and grilled the sandwich in some butter. After that the meal was "acceptable," though I had neither Swiss cheese nor dressing to add. Overall, a terrible value.

Better than Jason's Deli! A wide selection of soups, salads, sandwiches, and nachos. Service is great. Prices are decent. The half-and-half deals were pretty good, especially if you get a half-salad as part of your meal -- the portion size is pretty generous for a half-salad! The portion size for the half-sandwich isn't as good. If you're thinking of ordering a soup, I suggest asking to sample it first. One of the soups I sampled was incredibly, alarmingly salty.

This places used to be my favorite but they have gotten really sloppy. The last time I went with my friend we waited for 30 minutes just to get our food, they ended up giving my friend the wrong order. It was a complete mess.

Words cannot correctly describe my disappointment in Mcallister's Deli. This location is a hot mess to say the least. A week ago I ordered two soup and salads and only received one cup of soup as opposed to the two bowls I ordered. My mistake for trusting them to do the job right and not looking in the bag. I called and they immediately made it right by allowing me to come pick up two free bowls of soup whenever I pleased. I decided to call the next evening to pick up my soup. I placed my order and when I went to pick up my soup, the manager rushed his employees to get my soup despite my telling him I was in no hurry. When I got home, I was let down by two half-bowls of cold soup. Really? If they were out of the chicken tortilla, they could've let me know and I would have picked something else out. I felt the need to let the manager know what had happened so I called the store directly and received a different manager this time. He again, made it right by giving me two VIP meals for free. I was thankful and hung up. Tonight, I decided to cash in my free meals and ordered a pretty basic meal over the phone. When I went to pick up the meal, the manager and the employee who rung me up were both less than kind. I guess they don't want me as a customer anymore because when I got home, there were no forks in my bag, no dressings for my salads, and my coleslaw tasted love like crap. I'm just saying, this is NOT a deli, it's simply a disappointing establishment. You'd think third time would be a charm, I guess not?

I definitely have mixed feelings about McAlister's. I like the choose two with the half salad and bowl of soup. The salads always seem fresh but the soups seem institutional. The thing I really don't like about the place is the atmosphere. It's always freezing. I thought maybe that was just a summer thing with air conditioning but it's freezing in here now too that it's winter. I also hate the blaring loud music. Why does it have to be so loud??? The food is ok but overall experience is not.

One of my favorite spots for lunch!! I work down the street from here and my coworkers and I order to go weekly! Their country potato soup is yummy! The staff is usually very well mannered and polite. They get very busy around noon so try to order before 12 or a little after 1 to avoid the crowd! The parking lot gets packed but all in all I'd say give it a try!

I was disappointed with my order which took around 25 minutes to complete and there was only one customer ahead of me. I asked for no bell peppers on my sandwich since I was planning on sharing it with my wife who gets a reaction to them and of course they added the bell peppers. Besides the mix up the sandwich itself wasn't very good and it was definitely not worth the price. Overall not a place I would go to again.

This place was great for large groups. The service was pretty quick considering the size of our group. I would come back again for a team meal for our basketball team. The food was a slight bump up from what you would expect from a dive sandwich place but had good options for vegetarian and different kinds of wraps. Again, great for large orders but might not bring a date here...*kermits*

I LOVE McAlister's! On this visit I took my niece and nephews because it was their idea. They made a great choice. All 3 of them were members of the clean plate club! (Even my 3 yr old nephew who thoroughly enjoyed his PB & J sandwich!) I had a half a spud and a half a salad and both were very flavorful and filling. We were fortunate enough to visit on free tea day...which it really didn't matter because I'd pay extra for their delicious sweet tea! If I wasn't traveling by plane, I would have purchased a gallon of it to go! Very friendly and always delicious!

I normally enjoy McAllisters but this location had issues. We ordered take out ... With nachos they did not give us chili or melted cheese which was advertised. Try eating nachos with chips and cold cheddar cheese (for $7!). Italian sub was sub par --- on wheat, not at all flavorful. We also ordered a couple of salads and a wrap which were okay. Plus the employees were fighting with each other in front of guests when we went to pick up the order. Thumbs down :/

McAlister's Deli is my favorite place to eat because the food is always made just the way that I want. In each and every visit, I am always welcomed by smiles from their friendly staff, and my McAlister's Club is always picture worthy and absolutely delicious... I'll be back to get my sweet tea fix soon, because nothing else is quite like it!

This place is awesome. I love the veggie club with a side of macaroni but I got disappointed once because when they get busy, they don't put that much love into the food however, I will be coming back!

Got a tuna salad on croissant, the only way it comes. Got a coke, large.. well, the drinks come in one size... gigantic.

Good selection. Fast service. Tasty sammiches. I love the Reuben and broccoli cheese soup. Nachos are actually really good and huge!

We visited the McAlisters in Las Cruces today. We had been to another deli location back east. In both cases the food was very good. Since I am very fond of Mac & Cheese, that side is a hit with me. My wife had very good comments about the potato salad. We both enjoyed our sandwiches.

McAlister's Deli is good-tasting food at decent prices. The mac and cheese is a great side. The bacon spud was good, and their green chile stew in a bread bowl was excellent. Oh, their sweet tea is good, too. This specific location: fast service, clean facilities, friendly staff. I've been pleased every time.

Ok, so the true way to tell how awesome a business is can be how they handle a mistake. We had a minor mistake on an order, and let's just say after talking with the manager, they comped our dinner and were very apologetic. I wish more businesses ha this level of commitment to customer service!
