Ma Brown's is the best thing in this town, excellent customer service from Ron and the waitress. Best Burgers West of Texas and East of California.

The food was OK...but the restaurant is VERY run down and dirty. I honestly didn't realize it was a functioning establishment until a friend took me there. It's so grungy and run down that it's not even funny. It's also TINY, so you're most likely getting takeout. But honestly, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned or repaired since the Vietnam War.

Ok, so I've had burgers in most of west coast, and in New York. A co-worker recommended this, and I think that person was not exposed to good burgers at all. The place is run-down, in a scary part of town that I would not go to at night. The place is dirty, and this is one of the places I would be scared of the cook putting stuff on my food. The burgers and fries were just okay. I would try burgers from the fast-food places in Hobbs, like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Sonic. I would not go there again.

Considering fast food? Try Ma Brown's instead. They are a small town, apparently ma and pa style, local fried food joint. Run by friendly people with personalities and character. No corporate approach here. The food is not appreciably better than other fast food, and certainly no worse. Up front and honest burgers, o'rings, fish sandwiches, shakes, and such. Wouldn't you rather support a local business?

The people here are quite adorably small town nice with obvious experience at making some good ole' greasy spoon fair. They have some fantastic onion rings and an awesome fried bean burrito all made fresh when ordered. I asked a few of the locals for some honest incite into their burgers and got a resounding thumbs up. Large, juicy and equip with the works for just a few bucks, not too shabby. So if you're in the area and are lookin for some good ole fashion greasy American food, stop on in and visit Ma.
