Great southwest chicken sandwich, & the tzatsiki on the med chicken sandwich was awesome!

Great coffee and pleasant experience overall. After all, isn't that what a"coffee house" is all about. Robert was very hospitable and there was no line!

Great vibe, free wifi, lots of board games, and nice drinks. Great place to get work done or hang out with folks. The one sandwich they have - tch - was really tasty too. Four stars only because I'd love to see more food options and the service can be pretty slow sometimes. Otherwise great though!

A wonderful little gem in Gallup. It's a great size, wonderful staff, and I just love the interior and vibe; from the creaky old wood floors, to the white plaster walls with great art. I had a hazelnut soy latte and a tastey salad for lunch. Both were great and delicious. Forget Starbucks at Safeway, this is the place I'll be coming to from now on for a cup of Joe :-)

First off, I was not a huge fan of the town, just not for me. Secondly, this cafe was fantastic! It had a really nice old time feel to it. Psychedelic artwork covered the walls. I ordered a dirty chai and was impressed. For lunch, I went with the "Albuquerque Turkey" sandwich. Superb flavor, portion, and ingredients. Go give it a try! The fruit salad was nice too, it had bananas which was a pleasing change from the norm.

Found this great coffee house on yelp. Happy we stopped. Friendly staff and easy atmosphere.

The stars are for the atmosphere -- which has improved tremendously under the new ownership (spring 2013). It's a great place to hang out and work. The coffee and other beverages are tasty, if you can manage to order through the packaged goods clutter on the counter. The food has, unfortunately, taken a major downturn with the ownership switch. Sandwiches, salads, and baked goods are now sadly not worth spending money on (bring back the non-mass-produced sandwich bread, original menu items, and homemade cookies!). You can make better at home.

You have to be kidding if you think this average to below average coffee house is 4+ stars. 'Nuf said.

This cafe was owned by a close friend and then sold to a woman I admire, a very sweet and interesting lady who's father is an amazing artist. I cannot emphasize amazing enough! (ask her about it!) The food is very good, the quality is equally as good too from what I can tell. I haven't had breakfast there yet, but I have never heard anyone complain about the food. 3pm is when they close, which means me, who paints all night like the crazy artist I am rarely is alive or sociable enough to go anymore (once upon a time they closed between 10-11 pm). Also it once served as the heart of the intellectual and creative culture in the region, a place where musicians would play, I saw a very famous poet, Simon Ortiz read there. All of that is soundly in the past. The hours should not be a good enough reason to withhold stars, and it isn't the reason. Let us call it the local dynamics (all reviewers until this point are not locals)

Come here mostly every morning for a coffee and the paper. Great meeting place to do some work and chill for a bit.

Carmel Apple Macchiato!! Fabulous drink and personable staff (even if he would lose the age guessing game at the fair). ;) Definitely a must, if we ever drive thru Gallup again from Indy to Phoenix.

What a pleasant surprise! We were driving the Albuquerque - Phoenix route and really wanted a good coffee so I checked Yelp and maps on my phone and The Coffee House popped up. We pulled of I-40 and drove into Gallup. We found a lovely good sized shop with good espresso, I had an americano and the husband had a double shot, and pastries. Parking might be a challenge at times but well worth the time to pull off the interstate.

Such a cute place!! I am extremely picky about coffee and especially Dirty Chai. This was one of the best I have had anywhere!! My boyfriend loved his Iced Mocha. We had breakfast sandwiches that were super yummy. The owner was great and even the patrons were nice. We will absolutely go back during our next cross country adventure!!

I love indie coffee houses, and when I travel I make it a point to visit as many as I can. Not too many in Gallup, and this is a little gem tucked into Gallup not far off old Route 66, close to the library. Coffee is great, banana bread is perfect. Quiet coffee house atmosphere. I'll be here for another two weeks, and I'll be visiting this cozy establishment again.

Wonderful find! As we've been traveling the country, we look for eclectic coffee shops, and was pleasantly surprised to find The Coffee House in Gallup. The mocha was great and the delicious breakfast sandwich was big enough to feed 2. The prices were good and the staff very friendly. It's easy to get to from the freeway if you're traveling, so be sure to check it out!!

What a gorgeous coffee house! The wood floors are dark and creaky, the ceiling beautifully penates, there is a feel of rich history. I can't help but image Cowboys riding in and stopping for a drink. That charm makes this a comfortable place to enjoy the morning. My vanilla chai was perfect and the red velvet muffin made me feel like I was eating my wedding cake for breakfast. I will absolutely visit again next time I'm in town.

Coffee addict. This is the place to get the fill. Friendly atmosphere. Friendly staff. What more could you ask for. Books, games, a piano...why go anywhere else. Even got some snacks as well. Come check it out!

I highly recommend this coffeeshop, and I loved my visit. The espresso-based coffee drinks and sandwiches we took for the road were wonderful, as well as the experience of being in the coffee shop. I think The Coffee House has the best coffeeshop art I've ever seen from various local artists. -Friendly service -Incredibly peaceful vibe -Tasty food -Good espresso -Easy to find location; street parking isn't too crowded

I am happy to review The Coffee House, being from out of town and finding a good independently owned coffee shop was nice. Honestly the sandwiches here are some of the best my wife and I have had in years: she had the southwest veggie, and I the Albuquerque Turkey (which was worth the trip in it's self). We both had iced espresso drinks, which were good. Even being the San Francisco coffee connoisseur I am, I give this place five stars. So if your traveling through the state this the oasis in the middle of the dessert. Cheers

What a lovely little hipster gem in the middle of my I-40 trip! The barrister was so nice and let me bring my bike inside with me since there are no bike racks anywhere to be seen on the downtown street. The area around the coffee shop was a little scary, but that idea also could just be in my head because my Mom told me not to stop there (I think she was constantly googling the safety factor of every inch of 1-40 from Cali to OKlahoma. Anyways, this place was cute and clean and just adorable. I think I got iced tea.
