I found them unchanged over the 25+ years I have been stoping here. The the best but far from the worst. Just good, and good is not bad at all. I will keep coming in. The salad bar I have seen at its worst and at its best, most of the time at its best. The worst was after a rush hour and they were working on it when I came in. By the time I left it was alright. Never had any of their soups. Their stakes have always been good and cooked right. The thinner the piece of meat the harder to get it right. I have no complaints. The waitress have always been good and helpful. There have been moments when they have been understaffed. I felt sorry for them trying to take care of everyone.

Rancher's grill was very good from one of the best soup and salad bars we've ever had, to the main course. Atmosphere was just right for a good meal, cow boy style. We've marked our atlas to make sure we hit it next pass thru here. Service was good, by the cute waitress.

My "Rib sandwich" was a lot like a McRib from McDonalds onion rings were like ore Ida. Not worth 8 bucks.

This was not very good at all. I had the salad bar, which was fairly gross. The food was tasteless on the salad bar, and the potato salad and coleslaw was warm. I'm hoping that I don't get food poisoning tonight. My wife had the chicken tenders, and they were frozen ones. Service was beyond slow....took forever for everything. Fast food would have been much tastier and faster.

Service was good. Decor is dreadful. The steaks are low quality (fatty). Kitchen continues to struggle with cooking steaks to the right doneness.

My first time at Ranchers was perfect. The decor was amusing and interesting. Staff was friendly helpful and attentive. Food was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I had the T-bone steak. It was great with lots of sides. The corn was the best I ever ate. Price was a little high but it was good quality. If you want to put out the $20+ for a meal then I recommend this place.

We are on a road trip home to Texas and we always love stopping in this cowboy restaurant. Fresh salad bar and the prices are amazing for what you are getting. Portions are huge here! The mozzarella sticks have a pastry taste to the breading which I love and the beef kabobs are my favorite. Must see when in deming nm.

Thankfully this restaurant was open late on Sundays unlike most in the area. Very homey atmosphere, I felt like I was eating in a country kitchen at my grandmothers house. I would definitely suggest their soup and salad. All and all it was a good place to stop.

First off I loved the decor. The service was great didn't have any issues with refills, the food on the other hand was very bland; I had the chicken fried steak $16.99 with mashed potatoes and green beans. Do not get the mashed potatoes they did not taste of potato the chickrwn fried steak was good with the gravy the gravy tasted exactly like the cream gravy you get from the package at the GS. My husband got the ribey cooked medium well $27.99 it was dry and bland no spices in it that we could detect. The vegetable soup and chili were good and so was the salad bar. They have steak house prices, but not steak house quality. I'm guessing this place is only good to the people who live in Deming, NM and do not have any place else to go and eat a steak dinner. I give 3 stars for the service.

I had the 1 lb T-Bone steak, I ordered it rare but it was served medium. The steak was unevenly cooked but overcooked. The waitress told me that was what they called rare. No real steakhouse would call that steak rare, it was barely pink in the thickest part. That said I elected to eat it instead of sending it back, my wife already had her food. The steak was tender and juicy and very flavorful, the baked potato was OK but appeared to have been around a while, the waitress brought adequate servings of Sour Cream and Butter, it certainly would not be called exceptional. My wife had the grilled Trout on rice which she said was very good and properly cooked. The salad bar was large with a good selection and most everything was fresh. One area that was disappointing was the Pinto Beans, barely cooked done, somewhat hard and no fat (Ham or Bacon) consequently it was not flavorful. I would never serve a guest of mine such mediocre beans. Waitress was friendly and wanted to please us, she kept drinks filled and checked on us regularly. Bill was about $41 plus tax and tip. Another visit and I had a Steak, after this time I have decided to amend my review. The steak was not flavorful or tender. My wife had fish and it was just ok. The salad bar was still subpar. Several in our party had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes, it was reported as being good. Two people had the Fajita Taco Salad and it was reported to be good. Watch what you get but i would not recommend the over priced and under flavored steak. Waitress was fine, the facility is in dire need of a remodeling, dump the dark interior with a more modern looking style.

Passed through on a road trip from California to Texas for dinner. Great prices, great food. Ordered the rib eye and onion rings, wife ordered sizzling pork chops and everything was great. We were also very impressed with the service. Loved it!!!

Had a burger and salad bar. Burger was plain but expensive. Everything on the salad bar looked like it had been sitting there for several days. In short, expensive and awful. Stay away!

On a trip to Montgomery, AL and stopped in Deming, NM for the night. I had a AAA Tour Book and decided to try Rancher's Grill. The food was "OK" as I have had worse and I have had better - middle of the road. The service was a bit slow and I was there during dinner hour and the restaurant did not seem that busy. Possibly understaffed that night. Price was fair for the portion - I had steak and shrimp.

The Salad bar is the most disgusting salad bar I have ever seen in my life. It's obvious that everything there has been there for quite a while- after spending the money on the all you can eat soup and salad bar...the only thing I can bare myself to eat is the soup. Stay away from the Ranchers Grill.

We stopped in for lunch on our trip from Tucson back to Texas. I know what I ordered but I'm not sure what I was served. One bite was more than enough. Scary!! Quite pricey also!. Hope the locals enjoy it. I would never stop again.

The food was horrible and the service was even worse....Our waitress was very rude and told us that she forgot about us after waiting 20 for her to come and take our order. We ordered the fajita burger which was not edible, the bread was a big pile of soggy bread and the onions and peppers were over cooked so much that they just mush. We were never checked on, we had to get our own napkins, silverware, and our condiments. We will never be coming back here and we will NEVER recommend this sad place that they call a restaurant to anyone!

Hit this while traveling through the area. I must say that they were busy for it being around 2pm on a Friday. I had a burger with onion rings. Both were rather tasty.

Good solid food and luckily open despite the weather. With interstate and most businesses closed, these folks are staying open with normal service for us stranded travelers . For that they get five stars.....

Stopped in Deming on our roadtrip to Las Vegas.. We ate the ribs that included the soup and salad, unlimited trips to the salad bar and chicken strips with gravy or ranch (tasted better with ranch). We had good service and good food. Would definitely stop by again.

I tried this place for lunch and decided on the soup and salad bar. The soups were plain, meat challenged, and tasteless. The salad bar was large, but lacking things like shredded cheese or indeed any kind of cheese (e.g. grated) and the dressing that I tried (1000 island) was thin and not up to the standard of salad dressings available in your average grocery store. There was no bread other than little mini-muffins of some kind. The food was below average, but the service was the part of the eating experience that really stood out in a negative way. Although I ate at the end of the lunch period (~1:30 p.m.) and there was not much of a crowd, the service was awful. I was led to my table by the hostess who mumbled that {name undetectable} would bring me a plate for the salad bar. About 15" later my server showed up with a plate and asked me what I wanted to drink. Although the salad bar had a sign stating that new plates should be used for each trip, when the server brought me the first plate, that was the last contact I had with her until I practically had to shout to get my check. She never asked how I was doing or if I wanted something else like a clean plate, and she was invisible for the rest of my meal. In summary, bad service and mediocre food.

Our group of four visited here for dinner. It was an interesting visit for us. The restaurant seemed popular but understaffed. Three of the four had only the soup and salad bar while the fourth had a nightly special, country pork chop. The group star votes ranged from NO stars to three stars. Since I'm the three stars, that's what I'm posting. The salad bar seemed complete and mostly fresh. Some of the prepared salads looked old. The atmosphere was REALLY western, good for a cowboy restaurant but there was lots of dust on the decorations. The atmosphere seemed dark which made it look "scruffy". I would return here a second time for a meal but I'd be critical of everything until they really prove themselves.
