I've given them a few chances since they're new, but the service is so bad it's not worth the effort. Our waitress took our order & we never saw her again, I was ready to call the FBI because I thought she was kidnapped. Food is ok, but with service so bad it doesn't leave a lasting impression.

Two weeks ago we were traveling from El Paso, Texas to Puerto Penasco, Sonora, so we stopped at I-Hop in Deming, New Mexico for breakfast. I have eaten at various I-Hops in El Paso and Las Cruces,and have never been disappointed. I did not Yelp this particular I-Hop because I figured I was already familiar with this particular restaurant chain, and there wouldn't be much of a difference. Boy, was I wrong! We should've walked out when I saw all the dead insects on the restaurant floor, and on our booth. They were not roaches, and I know a 24 hour restaurant is going to have a some mosquitoes and moths come in, but an employee should be cleaning those up periodically. Although, there were few customers, the staff was completely overwhelmed. We were seated by the kitchen, and could hear one waitress yelling about all the mistakes that were being made with customer's orders. When I did get my order, my pancakes were under cooked. The staff was not uniformly dressed as in most I-Hops. I wasn't sure if they were actual employees or friends of employees brought in to help out that morning! I do not blame the employees because I feel the employees have not been trained properly, and this I-Hop lacks a good manager. On a Sunday morning, the manager should've have been present, and made his presence known to the customers. It was the worst breakfast I have encountered to date! I wish I had gone to McDonalds, and ordered an Egg McMuffin.

Especially for the area this place was the cleanest and best choice to eat. Chris helped me and although new he was INCREDIBLY polite, attentive and eager to make my order exactly as I wanted. I had a few special requests. Very very happy this place was open! The alternatives weren't good.

Came in late from a 12 hr drive to get bite to eat. There was only 1 other couple in the entire restaurant. The three servers were less than interested in helping...anyone. The 'manager' looked like she had just been released from prison. She was straight up whiskey tango (hillbilly trailer white trash). Service was lousy. Want to know what happens to you if you don't do good in school? Go to this IHOP.

Stopped in Deming overnight. Always enjoyed food and service at other Ihops so tried this one Waitress was slow to come to table. We ordered drinks and food. Drinks came after we asked another waitress where our waitress was. After a number of excuses she got our drinks. I asked for silverware and finally got up and took some from another table. Food came: soup lukewarm, eggs ordered over medium came out runny, fries were cold A "manager" came to table and asked about food. I said ok. She said only ok?? I told her about the poor service etc and she said "so sorry" and walked away. Waited for our waitress/cashier so we could pay. Husband went up to register, we saw 4 other customers go to the register We went to a store behind the IHOP and saw the "manager" outside talking with some guy I have indigestion, not sure if it's the food or my having to write such a scathing review

I would literally give this place zero stars if I could. Our waitress "birdie" stopped by about ten minutes after we were seated... She took our order and then disappeared... About twenty minutes after that, we had to grab a bus boy to get our drinks. We then proceeded to wait another twenty minutes for our food... To give perspective, there was about five customers in the place... When we got our food, we asked for our checks because we were in a hurry... She brought out mine and my wife's check... Messed up our friends check... So she went to "correct" their check... Fifteen minutes later our friend wakes to the bathroom.... She's sitting there visiting with the other waitresses... She notices that he saw her ... And brought their check out almost immediately. In short, I would not stop here again... Goto McDonald's, you'll get better service.

This is a chain IHOP with their standard menu. Opened in Jan 2014. Very clean. The cook had a little trouble with "basted easy" but got it perfect on the second try. Service was excellent and friendly. We added this restaurant to Yelp because it was not listed on Yelp or google maps and we stumbled on it on our way to Denny's. It is just west of the WalMart.

Clean, food was good but not consistent I ate here three mornings in a row and ordered the Swedish crepes all three times they were different each time. Staff was friendly but slow to get to your table when you walk in we waited a long time before we got anyone to acknowledge our presents. Food was tasty.

We usually love to eat at IHOP when we are traveling because we have a consistent experience no matter where we are. However, we ate at the location in Deming, NM and had a horrible experience. First off, the server ce to the table and said "after I serve you you can tell me how horrible of a job I did" which should have been a clue to us. He was incompetent, and he either did not have the mental capacity to do the job, or he was acting like he was stupid. He served my friend coffee then brought a straw and said "they told me to give you this", we ordered grits and he brought them to the table and told us "he has never made them before" they were so watery and undercooked we could not eat them. The rest of our meal was not much better. I had cold scrambled eggs and sausage, with undercooked French toast, and my friend had cold food with pancakes that were raw in the middle. The resturant was relatively empty, and we were the only table this server was waiting on. We spent $37.06, and two dollars of our change included two rolls of pennies, and we were handed the bill before any of our food. I am appalled by the service at this location.

So far so good. Cops hanging out here so I feel safe. Our server Kia has been very nice. Checked on us a couple of times now. Alrighty.. We've been sitting for 30 minutes now. It's just my boyfriend and I. We ordered 2 pancakes each with eggs and sausage..there's only one other couple here and they haven't ordered yet.. What's taking so long??? Lost one star.. They just came and asked my boyfriend if a different flavor of pancake was okay.. That means they haven't even started them. WOW. Just WOW. Lost another star. We asked our waitress where the food was and we heard her go to back and started correcting the cook with our orders.. She came out with the manager and the the manager discounted our food and explained to us that the cook wasn't following the ticket. My pancakes were supposed to be blueberry but came out plain with 9 blueberries on top. My boyfriend asked for egg whites and had regular eggs with the yolk in them. He asked for turkey bacon and got regular bacon.. But we were so hungry, we didn't care. The waitress informed us that she took another co-worker to a different job so that's why our food didn't come out. Her co-workers didn't help her out while she was helping someone else. What a shame. Seems to me this place needs a better cook.

My husband & I went to this IHOP since it was the only place we found close to the motel. We had a long drive & wanted something quick to eat. We went in around midnight, there were a couple people there already. After we ordered to go, the wait wasn't too long (hence the two star rating). When we got our order, we had no plastic utensils, or a plastic bag to carry the food in. I ordered a sandwich and it did not taste very good, the fries tasted old & over seasoned. My husband ordered crepes with raspberries, the crepes were plain with just raspberry jam on top. Nothing like it looked on the menu. The waiter seemed like he had better things to do. I got shorted 46 cents on my change (not a big deal). I'm too nice of a person to speak up. Maybe that's on my part, but still not acceptable. Whoever the manager is, needs to retrain their employees.

The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived on a Sunday morning, which should've been the first indication things are not good. It took 10 minutes at least before we were approached by waitstaff to take our drink orders. Food took 30 minutes to come out and we weren't given silverware. My pancakes were crunchy and very overcooked, and my french toast was disgusting. I only ate half of my meal and left tye rest. This restaurant needs a visit from corporate and a total overhaul with staffing. We won't be returning until we see a sign indicating it's under new management.

Been to many Ihops across the country and have never seen one as bad as this one. Service very slow and the cook couldn't make pancakes. It's IHOP for crying out loud. The one thing they should do well at the very least is pancakes. The staff was arguing with each other and they sat us right at the kitchen door. Had to ask several times for coffee. The pancake breakfast at McDonalds is far superior to what we got here.

Lots of reviews indicating problems with service and food so I gave them a try myself. My hostess was training a new employee and there were some delays getting seated for that but my simple breakfast came out promptly and tasted just fine. There is some uncertainty in the air and open talk about procedures and personnel matters among the staff, surprising after the restaurant has been open this long - perhaps the staff turnover has been high. Diners near me were informed of a long list of menu items that were unavailable, that due to kitchen problems most fried items were not available, and that their supply truck was two weeks late. But the place was clean on a weekday morning, food was fine, and overall met my expectations for an IHOP although there are clearly some logistical issues to be straightened out. I'd suggest the personnel talk be taken out of the dining room but I would return.
