New York style pizza....ummm, maybe in Bizzaro world. From the outside I was wondering how the old country restaurant would transform to a pizzeria. The interior is spacious and looks country, like they would be serving beef stew, pot pies, chicken fried steaks, or home made apple pies. There are a few items on the wall to pertain to NYC and even a few pictures on the table about the Big Apple. The restrooms were immaculate and clean, kudos! Ok, back to the food. The chicken wings with hot sauce, served with carrots and celery on a bed of lettuce was ok, nothing to brag about. The garlic with Parmesan cheese was disappointing, it was like they sliced a loaf of bread and buttered it up. Then the pizza came, the wait time was excessive, even though the place wasn't busy at all. The pizza was typical thin crust New York style, but the crust was burnt. It was like the pizza toppings was riding on a thin crust of ash! Every bite reminded you that you were eating pepperoni, cheese, marinara sauce, green chile, and ASH. The marinara sauce is excellent, nice tangy taste. I had hoped that this place would be our newest pizza hangout, sadly I'll never eat here again. Although the staff was very friendly and they did refill our drinks, this place is only a 2 star pizzeria joint.

I came in and stood by their front counter waiting...and waiting.... to be noticed. It never happened. While I stood there, I saw a customer get up from his table and get his own silverware, shaking his head all the while. Clearly his table was getting the same "service" that I was. Nobody ever noticed me, so I left. They are obviously not interested in our business. Why bother?

We came here to try it as my husband heard good reviews. My husband and I both ordered a special. Southwest Philly cheesesteak. It was very good, large portions. My daughter got the French dip. Not as large but good for her, she's 9. We'll eat here again.

My husband and I went from lunch about a month after they opened. First of all I do have to say our waitress was very nice. That's about it for the pleasantries. I ordered a cold cut sandwich, it was not very good. It was a total mess, couldn't even get it together to eat it, and for $10, I'd expect a little bit better quality. I didn't eat much of it. My husband ordered a meatball sandwich, he couldn't even eat it, the meatballs were small and dry, and there were gobs, yes gobs, of cheese bigger than the meatballs on it! He pushed it aside and the waitress asked if he liked it and he said, "No, I don't really care for it." She offered to get him something else and he declined. Then the manager came over and asked what he didn't like about it. He stated that it was dry and there was way too much cheese on it. Very rudely the manager stated, "That's how we do it back home!" My husband who is Italian and grew up in New Jersey said, "No, it's not, I'm from back East." She then proceeded to yell to our waitress on the other side of the restaurant, "COMP HIM!" took the dish and stormed away. Wow! We did not expect her to yell in front of all of those other patrons or be so confrontational. Needless to say we have never gone back and we will NEVER go back. With that kind of service, I would suggest anyone to take their business elsewhere. It was very expensive for what we ordered and we both left hungry.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
