Amazing breakfast for the price. My daughter got the chocolate chip pancakes but they were too chocolatey for her which has never happened in her life. She ended up eating my two eggs with a tortilla. The coffee was standard diner coffee. It was a nice Sunday brunch spot.

Definitely a must-try breakfast place. This location has a lot of interesting art and what not on its walls. (Something to distract you from the wait.) I love coming here for their veggie papas bowl. Talk about the ultimate comfort food! This place is fantastic but it is always busy! You may want to try coming here at off hours or avoid it during peak rush hours (Specifically, Sunday morning breakfast.) My particular experience today could have been poor (the food they brought for my dad wasn't the size he had ordered). It seemed like our waitress had been flustered but instead of having an attitude, her and a supervisor did their best to accommodate us, all while remaining friendly. Despite the little snafu, everything went well! We even beat the morning rush! Overall, a great place!

One of the best in New Mexico! The pancakes are delicious and huge! The way pancakes should be if you ask me as well as the breakfast smothered burrito! With a tasty strawberry lemonade!

    Decent food. HUGE portions.

Unbuckle your belt and throw on the feed bag. The portions are BIG. The breakfasts are very good. Had breakfast the other day, ordered the sloppy and ate the whole damn thing. Big pile of hash browns, sausage, bacon, cheese and sausage gravy, plus a couple of eggs. I wanted some red and green on the side, they were happy to oblige. I had to be dragged to my car and slathered in butter to get into the drivers seat! Service was very good, they kept the coffee coming and checked up on us a good number of times...not too often and never too late. I have had lunches from them in the past and was always a little put off. I know I can go spend the same near my office for bigger and better portions. Definitely not bad though. I'd have to give the lunches three stars and the breakfast five stars..hence the four star rating. Be sure to show up early because they are very popular with the locals.

Excellent food. Excellent service. The guys ordered breakfast. The portions were huge. I ordered the green chili chicken stew & salad. The salad was fresh & delicious. The stew had a nice kick to it, just wish the bowl was bigger.

I really don't understand all the "HUFF & PUFF" about this place...given it a couple tries and it has delivered mediocrity time and time again. Everything tastes like butter (I'm assuming that's what they cook with) so if your a butter lover I get it. Been to much more decadent breakfast/lunch joints like cafe bien, or even millys. Id say it's not a terrible option but it's definitely not something I'd call a GO TO spot. Nothing amazing about it.

Love the food and service. Friendliest staff and best service hands down. Wecks serves breakfast and lunch. Their portions are large so bring your appetite.

Let me start by saying... BEWARE of the food coma that follows your amazing meal! No Joke folks!! Our waiter even warned us about this. lol We came here for breakfast and they are well known for the hashbrown plates. You can either get it on a plate or in a bowl. And let me tell you, they do NOT skimp on their servings. Holy cow, their portions are huge! I ordered the Carnitas Hashbrown plate. It is a plate of hashbrowns, topped with melted cheese, two eggs cooked to your order, carnitas and your choice of red or green chile. Ohhhh myyyy goshhhh.. It was delicious! I loved everything about it! Their service was also excellent. Oscar was our server and he was extremely friendly and made sure we got everything we needed. Our coffee cups were always filled. Even the manager came around 1 or 2 times to make sure everything was to our liking and made sure we didn't need anything. I loved how friendly and helpful the staff was. You can't do better than amazing food AND great customer service. I wish we had one in Arizona! =)

Really good food; large portions with good flavor. The salsa was just right, not too spicy. Great place for families! The breakfast quesadillas were delicious!

Real good breakfast. They give a lot of food for really cheap. Don't go on Saturday tho it's gonna be packed!!!

Wecks is awesome. I always get the Healthier Choice Omelette with no sprouts. It's Delish. You're confronted with a massive amount of food. It's ridiculous. Gotta love it. They offer good gluten free options too, which is always a plus! Their green chile SAUCE is not gf though, so stick with the chopped option. You'll roll out of the restaurant with a full belly.

I like this place quite bit. Their breakfast portion is huge, it's enough to feed the entire family lol. I like their papas, ask for crispy harsh brown, and green chili. Also try their butter cinnamon buns, so good, buttery, savory and delicious.

As a displaced El Pasoan--I crave the opportunity to eat New Mexican food. That said, this review probably isn't the most unbiased since I lose all sensibility when confronted with fresh green chile. BUT, we had the carnitas burrito (not smothered since we are healthy) and the green chile bowl of papa's (veggie, you know, healthy) and took them to go on our drive to El Paso. Amazing. So glad we took them to go or I would have had to order another bowl of papas. YUM! Can't speak for ambiance or service, but the lady who took my order was friendly and the food came out reasonably fast. And it contained lots of green chile. What more could a girl ask for?

My husband and I LOVED this place. We stayed in New Mexico with family for 3 days and we ate here TWICE. Each time the food was on, the service was INCREDIBLE and the atmosphere was pretty cool. But let me tell you what impressed me the most about this place, and it's so hard to choose because the food and service were both amazing, but the service, stood above the rest. Each time we were greeted with a friendly smile and led to our table. Each time our waitress/waiter was SUPER friendly, and seemed like they actually cared to be there! EACH TIME during our meal a manager came over to us to make sure that we were taken care of. I was BLOWN AWAY. But I have to talk about the food, SO good. Each time I ordered the oatmeal breakfast which came with oatmeal, toast, fruit and brown sugar/raisins/milk to put in the oatmeal. The oatmeal was fantastic. They are rolled oats so they aren't soggy and each time I ordered this the dish was consistent. The fruit is good, it's just a small bowl but with the amount of food you receive, it's well in range. The toast was almost my favorite part (Sorry toast, oatmeal wins) , because they butter two piece of toast, cut them in half and butter the inside so that when you get to the toast the butter is still visible. And it is SO good. I only had one problem with the whole thing - there's not a Wecks in Los Vegas. This needs to change! :D

Our family has been going to Weck's for years. Tasty bowls o'papas, yummy huevos rancheros, big fluffy pancakes and zesty quesadillas are some of our faves. When they make a rare mistake, the accountability and compensation they offer are generous and, I think, extremely rare in the food service industry these days. When they mixed up two to-go orders (for the same name), the manager, John, quickly offered to comp our next meal.

Weck's is pretty a-ok in my book. You can't go wrong with much, although this particular visit, my husband's chicken club sandwich was spectacularly dry. I would stick with breakfast at Weck's if I were you...but that's just been my experience. The pancakes are giant and fluffy, the burritos are giant, cheesy and topped with chile, and the Papas Bowls are what their claim to fame is. Not a bad place for breakfast/brunch on the weekend--just be prepared for a 20 minute wait (way more on Sundays because of the church crowd).

Wecks is very good if you know what to get. The papas is the best thing there. It is especially good with their green chili sauce. It has very large drinks and when you leave ask for a to go cup for your drink.

You have to be seriously smoking CRACK! For not giving this place five stars! The pancakes are very unique on taste and how fluffy they are. Not your typical pancake. The breakfast burrito was out of this world. So far this place is in the top if my list for breakfast and brunch! Service is amazing a must go for everyone!

I've only ever had breakfast food here, generally something consisting of shredded hash browns covered with eggs, cheese, and green chile. Breakfast at any Weck's location tastes great and is extremely filling. I recently had the chicken enchiladas, topped with over easy eggs and green and red chile, served with beans. The chile sauces were thick and savory, with a hint of spice. I actually preferred the flavors in the red chile, but it can vary by the day. I barely finished the plate, and remained full for about the next 8 hours.

This was my first time ever eating at Wecks even though I've lived here for 4 years!! I'm really glad I tried it out! I walked in and there was Lobo gear on the front wall, which was cool. The whole restaurant was decorated with vintage memorabilia from the 60's. I was soon greeted by the hostess and she asked about how my day was going, which was kind (and unusual). My server took a little while to get to my table, but the manager noticed and came over right away to get my drink order. He also asked me how the food was during my meal and thanked me for coming in towards the end of the meal. The server and managers timing was impeccable throughout the meal. I was super impressed by the personal service. It made me believe that the staff enjoyed working there. SO...on to the food. I ordered off of the value menu. I got the Biscuit with gravy and two eggs over medium, hash browns, and two slices of bacon. It came out perfect! And my goodness...it was a really large amount of food for the price I paid (under $8). The value breakfast also included my coffee. I will definitely be going back to Wecks. I'm a little disappointed I didn't discover it sooner :).

This place ain't bad. I had no complaints with my meal nor the service nor the setting. But it's not the place I'd rush to if I had any sort of fix that fits in to what Weck's offers. I ordered the papas plate with carne adovada today and, just as I knew I would (and they advertised), I received a massive mountain of shredded and fried potatoes smothered in cheese and carne adovada. The papas were surprisingly good, as most places give you a flavorless and not fried-enough serving that disappoints, and I give them a thumbs up for that. What failed to impress me was the carne adovada, which while authentic enough and flavorful, was nothing like the best CAs I've had in New Mexico. The red chile had neither the spice nor the flavor that a great NM chile should and that can make a good dish become quickly average. My wife ordered a chicken club and chicken soup and neither looked visually appealing to me nor seemed to offer anything out of this world. Overall, Weck's struck me as a sort of Olive Garden of New Mexican food.

My son and I go to Riverside at least once a month on a Saturday.Waitress Nancy is the best! (We like them all). We have been to San Mateo a few times between classes (and it is good service, good food but they don't know us) Our 'home' Wecks is the best. Food is consistently good, that is why we come back time after time.

The lunch sandwich combo includes a 1/2 sandwich, (homemade) chips & either green chile stew or the soup of the day. I picked the Lombardi which is a tuna sandwich, added cucumbers & bell peppers, & selected the green chile stew. The first bite of the green chile stew was FABULOUS! The chicken is tender, there are *fresh* carrots, *fresh* potatoes, *fresh* celery, and even *fresh* green chile! The sandwich is also delicious with the croissant being just the right combination of tender, flaky & buttery goodness & the tuna to mayo & vegetable ratio spot on. Weck's makes their own chips & it shows! They are crispy, salty goodness that always leave me wanting more even when I'm stuffed to the gills. For me, Weck's never fails to disappoint & I'm definitely coming back!

I had the biggest craving for hash browns, and somehow our New Mexican host employed some serious mind-reading and took us here, where I ordered the Carnitas Papas, a mound of hash browns and beef. I ordered it with salsa verde, but the red salsa was actually much better, as I learned when I tried my friend's. The service is incredibly friendly and it's very clearly a haunt for locals and happy old people. As we ate, our host remarked, "Now you know why New Mexicans are so fat!" All I can say is, if this food makes you fat, I don't want to be skinny... You'll have some serious leftovers from this place - you could probably get three meals out of one plate of Papas. Great value & great service.

Fast, efficient, and good... just what we needed as we transited through ABQ as part of quick overnight stay. I'm always a little hesitant about inline, strip center restaurants but Weck's stood apart. I imagine that ABQ will be a more frequent destination in coming years, so I plan to make it back to Weck's.

Weck's is one of the spots I always have to visit for breakfast when I'm in Albuquerque. I love the papas plates. A "mountain" (their word and NOT an exaggeration!) of grated hash browns with red and green chile, tons of cheddar and jack cheese, topped with two eggs any style; I recommend over medium. Depending on which you order there will also be meats like carne adovada (my pick), carnitas, chicken, or traditional American breakfast meats like bacon, ham and sausage. If you're not a meat eater, you can get a veggie option or just the plain old "bowl o'papas." The price is certainly fair (just under $9) for the portion size, but it would be nice if you could get a half order for a little less. I spent the rest of the morning running errands and my boxed left overs did not survive the 90 degree plus temperatures in the car! :( The other reason I'm docking a star, is because the hours are 7 days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and I was looking forward to grabbing another bowl after my reunion festivities. It'd be a great meal after a wild night out! Guess I'll have to go to Village Inn or Frontier instead. There are worse things that could happen...

I HAVE to eat here at least once when I come to Albuquerque. I love their green chile stew, which is usually pretty darn spicy (the way I like it) and all the sandwiches. My go-to is the Weck Deck, half, with the green chile stew. I've always wanted to try breakfast, but since I am in town so rarely, I like to stick with what I know. Portions are enormous!

Oh, Weck's. I love you. I love you a *lot*. I admit, I love you mostly for your green chile, but both times I've been to Albuquerque, you've been an important stop for breakfast. I can't wait to visit again. :) This particular stop (in mid-April, as my husband and I were driving cross-country from San Diego to Cincinnati) was excellent - the service was great, the food (green chile chicken enchiladas for both me & my husband) was great, everything was great. If I could've figured out a way to bring green chile home with me, I would've bought it right then and there. In the meantime, though, I'll just have to visit Albuquerque more often. Thanks for a wonderful meal! :)

Went to Wecks after church one Sunday. It was insanely busy but the service was prompt. Enjoyed the french vanilla coffee and the Santa Fe Salad. It was delightful. My friend got a papas plate and it was gigantic. She had leftovers for at least two meals. Wecks doesn't mess around when it comes to quality and portion size. Will be going back for sure!

I am used to a large breakfast and being from Southern California, this place fit very well with the right amount of heat and flavor. I enjoyed a very, very large portion of the carnitas papas. Huge plate of great hash browns, cheese, eggs, of course carnitas and those fabulous green chilis. Definitely a great recommendation from the family I was visiting and will look forward to going back here the next time.

I was so happy to see Wecks on the Westside now. When I lived here before we had to drive much further to get to the wonderful food they provide We generally have breakfast here, but we recently had lunch here. The burger was large and perfectly prepared. The onion rings some of the best I've ever had. The salads also typically generous. We will certainly be back for both breakfast and lunch. I recommend either the Bowl o' Stuff or if you think you can handle it, the Papas plate for breakfast. Family has also given high marks for the biscuits and gravy. I did try the breakfast burrito once. It was ok, but not the best thing on the menu. Papas sloppy is my favorite.

The food is great with an affordable price. it beats Denny's any time. The service was great and the store has a Hollywood feel to it, just because they had a lot of posters, frames of popular artists from Hollywood posted. My friend ordered a Caesar Salad Wrap, and we decided to share.. but when it came out, it was HUGE. It can make up for serving TWO people instead of just one. Not only the wrap was huge, other plates are huge as well. You'll get your money's worth.

This place is a must eat if you are in the Albuquerque area! This location is new and it is very clean. The food is to-die-for and the service is just as excellent! They have awesome coffee along with a "coffee of the day" which was vanilla roast the day we went. I had a papa's sloppy which is a mountain of our fresh hash browns with cheddar and jack cheese, two eggs, scratch made gravy, diced bacon and sausage, with a choice of toast or tortilla. I ate about half and I was stuffed to the brim. My wife had the Huevos rancheros and cleaned up her plate as well. Excellent food! You must go!
