Driving through Albuquerque heading to California from Iowa, we saw the building from the interstate as we were stopping for fuel. Best decision was to eat here. The service was phenomenal! As soon as we walked in we were seated. Being hungry but not quite knowing what I wanted, we asked for a few minutes to decide. I chose to go with the Carnitas Papas. The menu said shredded pork atop a mountain of hash browns... Let me tell you that was an understatement. There was a lot of cheesy delicious hash browns and shredded pork with mixed with a green chile sauce. My companion ordered a simple Chicken Cesar wrap with a side of fruit bowl. The wrap was prepared really well. Just the right amount of Cesar. The chicken was properly cooked. The only issue she had with the dish was the fruit bowl. But that isn't quite a negative. There had been quite a bit of diced pineapple. She isn't a fan of pineapple. So we asked the waiter to bring a small dish so she could put the pineapple in it for me to eat. Not only did the waiter bring a spare dish. He brought a second dish with mixed berries. When we finished eating, we were brought to go boxes and cups. Completely satisfied with everything, we left a large cash tip, as well as a tip on the card. We will definitely be stopping here again next trip we take!

So I met my lovely coworker here for lunch last week, and this is all you need to know about Wecks: Papas y Carne Adovada bowl con Green Chile. Do it! A mountain of crispy hashbrowns, layers of tender Carne Adovada, an egg cooked however you want. I went with scrambled. Even asked for some extra Green Chile on the side because I crave the stuff like a tweaker craves glass. If you can put away this entire bowl, you my dear have reached boss status. Thank you Joe "Malasuerte" B. for the heads up on this delicacy! Outstanding service, clean establishment, decent prices and uniquely New Mexico. What more can you ask for? I'll be back for breakfast or lunch on my work trips.

Decoration reminded me of the restaurants in Hollywood. Food is great, specially their hash brown. I usually don't like hash brown not cooked until crispy but their hash brown is not crispy but it has full of flavor. Portion is too much for us so wife and me usually split ordering one. Their servers are very friendly and enjoy service from them. Great place for breakfast!

Good food. Not many low carb selections, though.

Stellar!!!! Hands down. Thanks Sarah, my server & Daniel, the manager for making my 1st visit all that & a bag of chips & salsa. Timing is everything. 20 minutes more & I'd be waiting like those I saw upon my exit. Phew!!!!!! My meal, cinnamon raisin french toast with a side of fruit, water no ice. YummmmmmY!!!! Sarah was attentive & ensured I was satisfied with my food's taste, temperature & appearance. Sweeeet!!!! And Daniel gave this lone diner plenty of conversation & gave me some helpful hints on All-things-ABQ!!!! Sweet sweet sweet!!!!! This was my 1st visit, but it won't be my last!!!!

Papas-carnitas bowl was plenty of food. I asked for crispy hash browns and they were perfect. I enjoyed the Christmas sauce (red & green.)

This is my second time back. The first was for breakfast and I gave them 5 stars. If 6 stars were possible that's what I'd give this time. The place was packed but it took less than 5 mins to get a table. The staff, from the door greeter to the hostess to the waitress were all friendly and attentive. Again, this place was packed but it took less than 10 mins to get our order. Excellent burger, fries and a side of fruit. Wife's breakfast was perfect. I don't know of any place that is as customer oriented, wIth good food and prices. Certainly a place we'll take or out of town friends and family to.

The food was delicious! The green chili is the best and is a must eat. The service was outstanding. It's like we were at a fine dining restaurant. The manager even came by to check on us. I don't live in ABQ but would definitely come back each time I visit.

Wow! What a great place to eat. I had the Papas pork Carnitas plate with Xmas sauce , two eggs over easy on top, and it was out of this world! When it came out it was so huge my eyes about popped out of my head along with the table sitting next to me wondering how one person was going to eat all of that food. More hashbrowns than you can shake a stick at. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient, with warm smiles and great attitudes. The manager personally came by and ask everyone how their food was, nice touch! Even though I only get to Albuquerque twice year, Weck's will be on my number one hit list when visiting again.

Ahh good ol Wecks.... Been dining at this location occasionally for the past several years and still have not been disappointed. As with all Wecks, the goal here is a belly bursting sized portion. So expect to leave here full. It is also very easy to stuff yourself here because the food is so good. I usually will have the breakfast burrito with green and sausage. It comes with a big burrito and a hefty helping of green chile smothered hash browns. The reason I really favor this location over the others in ABQ is because they are never extremely busy where you have to wait more than 10 minutes. The other locations across town usually take between 20-40mins to get seated especially on weekends. If you have kids that are light eaters (like mine) I recommend that 2 can share one plate because the portions are huge. The last thing... The prices are a bit higher than most places but it is acceptable because of the enormous serving sizes. If you want a good filling meal this is the place for you.

I had never been to Weck's before now, but upon a friends suggestion my family stopped in on our way out of town, and it was fabulous! We have one coming to town and I can not wait!! I had the breakfast burrito with sausage and green chili and it was unbelievably good. All three of us tried a different dish and they were all very tasty.

This was our first visit to Wecks, came on the recommendation of our Waitress at another not so great place. First of all, the staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our small group of 3 was well taken care of. The Manager even came over and visited. I had the Chicken Enchilada w/ Eggs and it was a home run. Just perfect. Their green sauce is the best I've had. I bought 6 jars to take home. The place is great.

Weck's never fails to bring the best New Mexican food to your plate, a lot of it. Today for the first time I ordered my food to go to bring to my loving Grandma. I got her a farmer's market omelet filled with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, tomato, guacamole, sour cream and chili on the side for her. My favorite dish is the green chili chicken enchiladas and eggs!

BEST BREAKFAST IN ALBUQUERQUE - without question! Their "Bowl O'Stuff Papas" is my favorite...no wait, the biscuits and gravy...no, no wait, the giant pancakes with butter...WHEW! Just so you know, the bowl of papas is a giant pile of grilled hash browns, bacon, sausage, cheese, and eggs (cooked how you like 'em) smothered with green or red chile (or both). SO FREAKIN' HUGE!! This is definitely a weekend spot and a darn good one. Weck's is a local establishment operating in Albuquerque with numerous locations for over 20 years. BEST OF THE BEST - no lie!

How could the staff take the freezer burn taste out of the so called food? What could they have done to make the mush browns less mushy? You always say you will make things better but nothing ever changes at any of your locations it is still garbage no matter what you say you will look into or advise your staff about all the bad reviews that customers post. Words cannot make the so called food at your restaurants any more eatable. Again I was forced to leave one star to post my opinion.

We were in town for the Balloon Fiesta and made an effort to try local brands. Weck's was close to our hotel and we were not disappointed. We checked out previous reviews so I knew the papas were a favorite so I gave the adovada papas a try. They were delicious and cheesy and just what I needed after getting up early on a windy day for the balloons. He got the chicken enchiladas and the portion was huge. The strawberry lemonade with real lemonade and real strawberries was amazing. Definitely will turn into a go to when we are in town again.

Weck's is a Wreck. My neigbor and I went out for breakfast. I got the papas:(. Never again. The hash browns were white with NO crisp. The egg was cooked ok. I got bell pepper an tomatoes, but it took 2 bowls of salsa to give it flavor. We will try a different restaurant for breakfast. This restaurant is good if you do not have discriminating taste.

If you have a hearty appetite, Wecks is the place to go. They have huge portion sizes. It is one of my favorite places for brunch. They have a delicious papas plate. It is quite large, so you may want to think about sharing a plate or plan on having some leftovers.

Weck's is one of the best places for breakfast/brunch. Their portions are large and the food is tasty (especially their hot green chili). The waitstaff is attentive and even when having to wait for seating it is generally not a long wait. I highly recommend this place if you are hungry and want some great food in large portions.

Original Papas with red and green chili. Nobody makes this unusual dish like Weck's, and many places around the country try. A "must" breakfast/brunch when in Albuquerque - at this location or any of the others.
