Stopped in with my wife on the way to the gym (funny combo I know). It is self serve yogurt and toppings and is sold a la carte by the ounce. For us this is perfect as it allows us to control our portion size. I particularly enjoyed having fresh blueberries and raspberries with my chocolate yogurt, I'll stop in again. There's a pretty wide variety of toppings, kinda fixes my TCBY craving, sure miss them here.

The frozen yogurt is fantastic, (salted Carmel and cheesecake for this gal) and the toppings are excellent, including fresh brownie bites...so 3 stars? The girl at the register absolutely ruined my experience. I went to pay ($13 for 3 cups of custom yogurt creations) and I pulled out a $20......She made a face and said, "Oh I really can't take a $20, do you have anything smaller?" Smaller than a $20 for a $13+ change bill? I looked in my wallet -- I had a $5 and 5 $1 -- not enough. I said that all I had was a $20. She grudgingly took my money, gave me change and said very sarcastically, "Have a GREAT day..." I heard her say to a coworker that she had change in the safe but didn't want to get it. I felt uncomfortable for the rest of our visit...I also saw a girl come in, get a bowl of yogurt, sit and eat it and leave -- never paid for it, and no one noticed.

Had cravings for frozen yogurt, so searched on yelp and found this store! We walked in and had no idea how it worked but the girls that worked there were so helpful and nice and explained how it all worked. Sooo delicious :)

We're real fans of this place. Yeah Yeah it's expensive dessert but you get what you pay for. Great flavors. Be sure to sign up for their frequent flyer thing. Staff is very good. Always good service.

Four stars for the dynamic selection of dessert toppings, not to mention the breadth of frozen yogurt flavors. Sample whatever flavors you want. Bring a kid here and make sure they brush their teeth, because the place is a cavity haven. In a good way. Continue to read this review for a rant about tipping. So how is it that Menchie's, among so many shops, has the gumption to add that line just above the total for a tip? Let's break down what the employees actually do here. The entire setup is self-serve. In my two visits, no one actually wandered away from the register island to assist us, which isn't a critique, because assistance isn't necessary. It's all right there in front of you: frozen yogurt, toppings, sauces, dig in. The employees simply tally the weight of your sugary salvation and make the transaction. Tipping is a really tough one, for me. In my time, I've schlepped several soda fountains for a little pocket money during high school and college, and I know what a good day of tips can do. So I feel for these employees. But I also know that tipping is earned. Tipping requires some personal attention. Menchie's doesn't provide this angle. What do the employees actually do at Menchie's? Everything. They keep it well stocked. They clean the yogurt tubes. They mop floors and keep the bathrooms clean and provide a great, pristine experience for patrons. And for this, the chain should compensate their efforts, rather than the customers. The local option, Olo, doesn't ask for an extra buck simply because people work there. My daughter dreams of Menchie's. I take her there. And the tip aspect angers me.

LOVE ths place! Finally, a frozen yogurt place near our house! Also, they have by FAR the biggest selection of flavors in Albuquerque. And they have peanut butter! Awesome! They had great toppings, including peanut butter syrup - awesome! (Hello, my name is Kendall and I am a peanut butter junkie.) The coffee and coconut flavors were also amazing, and the chocolate was great as well. They put the tasting cups out for you, unlike other places where it seems you have to ask permission to try flavors. Excellent. They had a bunch of other flavors I wanted to try as well - honeydew, Jolly Rancher cherry, dulce de leche - I think they had like 14 or 16 flavors. It was great! Also, and frankly to our great enjoyment, they were not playing the ultra-annoying religious music that plagues Love yogurt. Ugh. So not feeling the love for Love. They could do with additional fruit toppings, and absolutely need more nonfat or sugar-free options. I also didn't see nutritional info handy anywhere. We will do a bit more investigating, of course, since in general we take care with what we eat, but so far - we LOVE this place! Highly recommend it!

Wow! I had never heard of Menchie's until I saw an episode of Undercover Boss. I'm not going to lie...that's the sole reason I went. The girl at the counter was SUPER excited to tell us all about Menchie's and how it all works. We selected our yogurt and proceeded to cover it with the most amazing toppings. Although fresh fruit was available...my yogurt was already covered to the brim with chocolate rocks, frosted cookies, crushed kit kats... I got classic chocolate, Oreo and cake batter frozen yogurt. It was ALL delicious but my favorite was the cake batter. The facility was clean and cheery. The staff was helpful and happy. It was 49 cents per ounce which can get pricey if you get caught up in all the amazing flavors and toppings...which I did. Well worth the price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I liked them all this time but I just found a machine part in my yogurt and when I brought it back the lady only said, "sorry, it comes off from time to time" and took the part back with a napkin. That's it. I just stared at her... Nothing about the fact that I paid for that weight too and she only said, "well, you want another one? we clean it every day so it's clean". I just walked away. Not a good service at all. Not happy.

Menchies is a favorite for the kids. It's fun, it's tasty, and it's close to home. It's the management that has me disappointed. When I try to get in touch with a manager about community involvement they do not return messages or care to get involved.

Most exhaustive selection of frozen yogurt flavors and toppings I've ever seen. High level of attention and detail to the decor makes this an awesome place to hang out. Wish we had one of these in CA!

yogurt by the pound..........nice got the salted popcorn flavor.......very good you can sample just about everything, except toppings that is.......... had a special peach that was very good...... yogurt for two less than 5 bones............

The staff is nice. The yogurt is ok. If we are on the east side and close we grab a yogurt. The topping selection is decent. I'd recommend it.

My favorite frozen yogurt place! So many toppings and like eight or ten flavors of yogurt, including sorbet, and sugar free varieties. Allergens are marked on the signs. Cute little interior. I love getting the plain vanilla yogurt and topping it with fruit and mochi and boba. The employees are always really nice too.

Probably one of the best frozen yogurt places in ABQ. More flavors than anywhere else, and lots and lots of great toppings. Standard pay by weight place. But this place has free samples, a great rotating lost of flavors, and even a customer reward program. Pretty awesome. Not only that, but if you are watching your diet, this place has really good nutritional info for all their flavors. And their dog friendly too! Ruff!

dirty, unclean and nothing special. The toppings were picked over and all over the place. It was filled with little kids and a zoo!! Yuck. Staff was ignorant, and unhelpful. Bathrooms were beyond awful.

Nothing compliments warm weather like frozen yogurt! I recently discovered the Menchies off Montaño and loved the selection. I tried a few of the yogurt flavors and settled on the melon sorbet. It was delicious and refreshing. I wish fruit were available as a topping, and usually is, but apparently the manager forgot to stock it last weekend. The cashier was super bubbly and complimented my dog. She's a winner in my book. Altogether refreshing experience, may have to eat more frozen yogurt this summer!

I love that they have the sample cups out on the counter. I hate having to constantly ask for them at other places. The yogurt is a bit more than other places. Good selection of toppings!

Very good. Although the number of flavors and toppings are superior to rivals, the restaurant has an odd over-the-top flare. The music is too loud and there are only a few fruits to top yogurt with. Otherwise good.

Love, love, love this place. The fro yo is delicious and the toppings are endless! The fun begins when you start taste-testing the 16 flavors. Sample them all if you like! Make your own personal dessert with as many flavors of yogurt, crunchy toppings, fruit, nuts and sauces as you want. Very kid friendly and the price is reasonable. It's as fun to assemble your treat as it is to eat it. There is seating inside and out.
