Low quality food. Not just bad but disgusting flavor. Mushy pasta, bitter sauce, cheap very low cost food clearly used. Came here with coworkers from out of town and we were all very disappointed with meals. If you want delicious Italian in ABQ go to Trombinos or literally anywhere else. It was an embarrassment to our city and our company that we brought out of town guests here. Avoid this spot.

Unimpressive service. The food smelled good wish I could have gotten a little service

Was craving pizza on my lunch break, and using yelp, I found this gem of a whole in the wall. Read a few reviews and was sold. Ordered the lunch buffet for 9 bucks. The waitress asked if I have even dined there before and proceeded to give me a tour of the buffet. Has everything: several different pizzas, an assortment of pastas (baked ziti, lasagna, spaghetti, and a couplemore, two different soups, and a great salad it was fresh and homemade.bar . Tried as much as I could in an hour. Pizza was great. Loved the crunchy crust. Tried a couple of pastas. And the ministrone soup. Everything was delicious and evident it was fresh and homemade. They have beer and wine. And a Friday night seafood buffet. Great lunch for a great price. Will be coming back.

Can i even do a half star? I've filed a complaint with the health department as well regarding this experience, first off should not have to ask for ice tea 4 times before finally having it brought halfway through the meal. Secondly, the buffet for dinner it was not tools to us that the pasta would have to be prepared and the buffet was the sauces in addition to dried baked ziti.... fifteen minutes later after being further ignored by the inattentive and horrifically trained staff and with the rest of the table completed we were told they hadnt started cooking the pasta and "what would we like them to do about it". Lastly, and probably the most unsanitary they allowed a non service dog to not only dine within the confines of the restaurant but to also be fed from the table. When told to the wait staff (1 server, 1 host) they were indifferent saying they were too busy that night and did not see the animal.

Wish we would have found this little place sooner! Great food at a very decent price. We went for lunch on a Friday afternoon & it wasn't busy that day but the buffet was not left unattended. The food was still fresh & delicious! Extremely good service. We will be returning for sure!

Leaning seafood, but also feeling a little Italian, I decided to try Luigi's. On Friday evening, they offer a seafood buffet along with a few Italian dishes. I was greeted, seated and almost as soon as I sat down, bread & dipping sauce was served. The Amber Bock was ice cold. Salad bar had lots of variety and ingredients were fresh. My waiter, Raymond, was a real jokester and spot on with his service. He advised me that there was only one rule, which is, if you leave hungry, it's your own fault. So I attack the seafood, piling my plate with crab legs, boiled shrimp and clams. Quite tasty and the shrimp were not overcooked. The cocktail sauce could have used more horseradish. Now, the breaded shrimp and mozzarella sticks had too much breading, thick and not crispy. The pasta dish needed more sauce, but the ricotta was delish. My favorites were the crab legs, boiled shrimp and green-lipped mussels, but I have to admit, I really had to work hard to get that crab out of its shell. So, if you don't mind working for your dinner, have at it. Overall, it was good food with outstanding service. They do make you feel at home.

Stopped at this place for lunch due to it's proximity to my husbands work. It was not busy, which was surprising, and I was beginning to wonder if my fellow yelpers had let me down. Fortunately, I was very pleasant surprised! Took advantage of the lunch buffet (about $9 per person) and I was surprised at all the options (salad, soup, multiple types if pasta/sauces, bread, and sweets). I'm not a huge buffet fan but everything we had from the buffet was actually tasty. We all (including our 2 year old) enjoyed the food and will definitely return. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Stop in and give this place a try!

The buffet is a great deal since you get a little taste of all they offer...but alas, I did not get the buffet since it was Easter & $3 more than usual price & I'm not into roast beast. Needless to say! I have not had gnocchi this good since I was in Milan, Italy back in 1999. Yea, hard to believe I know right?!?! If you love potato & you have an itch to scratch where your starch craving is concerned...try their gnocchi, the meat sauce filled the lil C-cups just perfectly, wait...oh anyhow go for it!

I have driven by this place numerous times, but it took me a while to actually stop by. This place is the epitome of that saying "don't judge a book by its cover." The pizza is great. They offer a salad bar, which I really enjoy. Also a buffet with pasta, sometimes seafood, and other Italian dishes, but I've never tried. It always looks and smells good though! Frequently we have the same server, who is quite funny and helpful. Twice I have been there and he is helping the whole restaurant. So it's not super fast unless you order in. Great place to have an enjoyable meal with friends and family.

This place really felt like home- It has an east coast restaurant kind of feel. The food was good, but the staff was great. It was such a fantastic and comfortable dinner. Thank you!

We come to Luigi's often, and in fact as I write this we're here for my birthday meal - a simple plate of linguine with white clam sauce and a glass of Italian white wine. It's easy to be here because everyone is so friendly, and the food is so fresh, well-made and tasty. They always have lots on the buffet but this really isn't a buffet restaurant, because the quality of the food is so high, it's definitely not just quantity. My favorite off the menu is Eggplant Parmesan and the cannoli for dessert. Oh! And the white pizza is delicious.

This place is by far the BEST Italian and pizza restaurant in town. You will not be disappointed I can't get enough of this place. If I'm not eating in, I'm calling for delivery at least twice a week, lol.

I have only ever had take out pizza form this restaurant, it has been well made, has a great chewy crust and nice sauce, their "shaved" Italian sausage has great flavor but for me their green chile has almost no flavor at all and they put on too much cheese. They deliver which is great. To, yet again, restate my pizza preferences in Albuquerque I would go for Dion's Duke City (if I wanted something inexpensive and great for one person - their 10") or Farina's if I wanted to eat out.

Loves the chicken Parmesan. The linguine and clam sauce was dull (according to my wife). Serve by Ramon was awesome.

I have dined at LUIGI'S on 4th St. & Solar NW for over 10 years. What I like particularly is the fact that their food is all FRESH and MADE TO ORDER & NOT formula. The recipes are all authentic and the Pasta is Hand made as is the bread. It is prepared either by Mama herself or Luigi who are always there. The Veal Piccata & Marsala are my favorites as well as the Shrimp Fra Diavolo & Scampi which are served with a side of pasta...Mmm, delicious. The Eggplant & Chicken Parm are really tasty, loaded with flavor & generous portions. The Fettuccini Alfredo is excellent & the noodles are hand made by Mama and their Salad Bar is always cold & very good. A Seafood Buffet is featured on Friday nights and is quite good. Their Pizza is excellent too and they will pretty much top it with anything your heart desires...Clams are my favorite. This is a "Must Try" Italian restaurant in Albuquerque's North Valley. You can always be assured that the dishes come out fresh and consistent. I love this place. MIKE SANTULLO Albuquerque, N.M.

"Leave the gun and bring the cannoli." And Luigis has great cannoli! Also the spaghetti and lasagna are delicious....but, for the infrequent pizzas I eat, they all are at Luigis. After you place an order, that is the way your pie comes out. I like thin crisp crusts. Then, I love the atmosphere.

Great buffet choices and very good options on the salad bar. Luigi's is our go-to neighborhood Italian restaurant. Very good pizzas and baked entrees and we have 2 family members who really appreciate all of the gluten-free options now.

Pretty good, amazingly good pesto. A Huge and fantastic thin crust pizza. Good meatballs and prompt service. Prices are reasonable. When on 4th street check it out.

I would not recommend the Chicken Marsala. The Marsala wine sauce was way too sweet and there was way too much of it, the chicken and pasta were swimming in it. However I did enjoy the dinner salad, bread & olive oil. All I can say is I won't be going back.

Luigi's is a great restaurant. They have delicious pizza and pasta. I think their pizza is the best in New Mexico, my favorites are their pesto and also the pepperoni. Also, for those living in the area they have delivery!
