Family business with very good food and reasonable prices. I love the Szechuan chicken and eat here a couple of times a month

Crappy, crappy, crappy. We stopped off at this little Chinese restaurant since we were super hungry from our long drive from Omaha. The lady in charge was not nice at all. It was an inconvience to help anyone, even though it was her job. The food was not good at all, and her attitude sucked. She is apparently closing the business on June 27th, which is good. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any place. When time to pay, she told us that she only took cash, and to go to the atm across the road. That atm wasn't working, so we had to go to another one further down the road. I went to wait outside since it was so hot inside, she came out throwing a fit, wanting her money. I told her that my husband had to walk all the way down to another atm to get her money. I told her that she should inform her customers that she only takes cash when they come in, not when they are ready to pay and you don't have an atm in-store.

Been coming to this restaurant for many years and for good reason, the quality and serving of food is awesome.

Years of curiosity about this restaurant were almost satisfied this evening. It was as empty inside as it always appears to be. The building is furnished with artifacts from the 1970's except I think that my combo plate was prepared during the same era. I wanted to walk out after they started the meal with egg drop soup with an extremely mucous-like consistency. It made my husband's gums swell up. We were too scared to leave so we stayed for the fried meat foods that they called sesame chicken and sweet and sour pork. When the fork hit some of the older pieces of "pork," they literally turned into dust. The first bite of the the chicken was either dark meat or maybe pork, but then I had another bite that looked more like chicken. At any rate, at best it can be described as something that they pulled out of a dumpster behind one of the all-you-can-eat buffets. We also sampled some other really horrible food including the egg rolls (yes they are "sludgelike" as described in the 6/20/2012 review by Jae K), a couple of suspiciously tiny bbq ribs, stale tortilla chips they called crab rangoon. I mostly filled up on the msg granules that was actually clumped into the rice; one bite taste like an entire bouillon cube. Gross, gross gross.

I've since tried this place a couple more times and have to give them more credit. The food has definitely improved as has the service. The egg rolls are the best I've had in town and the sesame chicken is nice and spicy. Here's the one factor that may explain my change of heart: I only do carryout now...which means that food isn't fresh on the plate when I get it, but at least I don't have to deal with any potential shoddy service. For quick Chinese, give this place a try.

BEWARE! Yet another restaurant that does not take check cards or credit cards. Very disappointing especially when you take a drive there.

I was in Albuquerque visiting relatives, and stumbled upon Lam's Chinese Restaurant. The waitstaff here are friendly, and they recommended a couple of great dishes to my friends and I. The price was great, and the food was delicious. I didn't think I would get good chinese food out here, until I tried their restaurant. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends if they visit Albuquerque.

Pretty terrible Chinese food. I guess we should have known better when we saw the empty dining room. The eggs rolls tasted like sludge and my fried rice was tasteless and smelled like farts. I'm from New York and have lived in China so I'm used to good Chinese food. Does Albuquerque really think this is good Chinese? If so, I pity you.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
