Dions is one of my favorites. I ALWAYS get the Tuscany pizza! Pesto, pine nuts, artichoke hearts and sun dried tomato! (Add feta) I've had the Italian sub, which was otherworldly, the crunchy spinach salad, which was spectacular and the Caesar salad, which was yummy and just what you'd expect it to be.

Dear Dions: Would it be too much to ask (although I have asked a million times) that you cut ALL THE WAY THROUGH your pizzas so I don't have to tear them with my fingers like a cave man? Some would call me an elitest and say: "Use a knife!" but sorry - when I pay TWENTY DOLLARS for a pizza, I want YOU to cut it and feed it to me. Also - get more help at your window!!!! And lastly - either get someone that is happy to take an order over the phone - or get rid of your phone ordering. So annoying that you keep making these mistakes!!!

Try ordering online! Super fast & efficient. Takes about min to set up the acct with billing and credit card info, but you have the option to save/store it for future use. Takes 20min from order to pickup AND with the busiest night being Friday with both the drive thru and inside lines a mile long, I got called right to the front, handed the pizza over everyone's heads & out the door! If you dislike crowds like myself, you kno how awesome this is!

I live right down the street from this location, so we often find ourselves here after taking a nice stroll down Academy. The pizza, subs, and garlic bread are all very good. My personal favorite is their gourmet pizza, the margherita, which is a 10" personal pizza, although me & my daughter often split it. This location serves Coke Zero, but other locations do not. The pizza (in my opinion) tends to run a bit dry, so I always ask for extra sauce on every pizza I order. I wish they offered breadsticks! I'm more of a breadstick-kind-of-girl rather than garlic bread. But, overall this is quality pizza people. It is so far my favorite in Albuquerque and easily beats all of the chain restaurants (Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesars, etc).

It was sad today to see this location so dirty. The carpets are stained and dirty the tile hadn't been swept or mopped it seemed and the bathroom was nasty.

Dion's is the best pizza period. Through my travels, I have had many pizzas in my life, and I have yet to find one that is better...They have the perfect combination of sauce, cheese and crust that has no rival... Please consider franchising. I would like to bring this pizza to the Midwest...

Let's chat about pricing for a moment, shall we? To some extent, we consumers are basically powerless over dining costs at some of our favorite haunts. Once we're hooked, we'll often spend whatever the menu asks for a familiar dish. I won't name the local chain I'm thinking of (I'll give ya two hints: Flying and Star), but an eight dollar helping of mac 'n cheese (throw in another five bucks for some chicken) currently reigns, in my book, as one grossly overpriced endeavor. This is comfort food, people. Drape it in whatever finery you want, nobody-and I mean nobody-should shell out that kind of cash for the culinary pinnacle of the five year-old palate. With a bevy of locations under their belt, Dion's currently bucks the high dollar trend. Six inch sammies run less than six bucks and ten inchers less than eight. Pizzas are totally fair, between $13-$18. I'm a big fan of the salads and a filling bowl will run less than six bones, while the family size (feeds three or four, easy) goes about nine. Ultimately, a family can fill up for about $25 save the extras like soda or cookies. We don't do the extras, and we're thrilled with the value. Compare this with a local chain I'm thinking of (I'll give ya two hints: Flying and Star) where you'll easily drop $40. No, it ain't organic or locally sourced. You're paying the salaries of teenagers which means you might be the unwitting sponsor of a house party. You'll have to schlepp the eats to your table, no problemo on my part, ya gotta work off that pizza crust somehow. On weekends, the line can stretch a long ways, here, but you won't wait long. In the end, Dion's is delicioso and more than affordable. Thumbs up.

I've lived here for a total of 8 years now, and I visit Dion's about 5 times a year. I was first turned on to them by a co-worker of mine when I worked at Verizon Wireless call center. We shared pizza and a big salad. Holy crap, I was hooked! The decor of every Dion's is very nice. Not a 5-star restaurant, but it definitely isn't a Blake's either. It's always clean, the staff is ever friendly and even the restrooms are spot-on. That's saying a lot. I normally harp on a restaurant for their horrible restroom cleanliness. The price of all their food is manageable. I'm not going broke on my peasant-level income if I eat at Dion's, even if I bring my wife (who makes more than I do and should probably be footing the bill, but I'm going off-course here). Can we talk about that Ranch dressing? Oh Em Gee. I wish they sold that stuff at Costco's. That's how good it is. I buy their bottles whenever I can and for the next 3 days put it on everything. It's that good. Other restaurants sell their salsa in local grocery chains, why on Earth can't Dion's sell their dressing in other stores as well? They'd make a killing. As far as the pizza goes, if you're not a fan of their slightly doughy consistency, just ask them to bake it an extra 5 minutes or so. I like my pizza a little on the crispy side anyway, and the cheese a bit brown.

I have gone to this dions for years. Unfortunately, I feel like it's going down hill. The last 3 out of four orders I've gotten have been wrong. I think they are just too busy and are more about quantity than quality. I recommend eating in, because if you go through the drive thru it has a good chance of being messed up. Let me just add I didn't have a really picky order. It was a cheese pizza and a salad with the croutons on the side. I got a cheese pizza that had green chili in random places and there weren't any croutons on the side. Usually I wouldn't care, but my youngest child will not touch anything spicy. I feel like my bad experiences at Dions don't reflect on poor food, just their service. The food is always delicious (even when it's wrong)!

I've definitely had better pizza elsewhere in ABQ. Dion's is apparently an institution here. I had the BBQ chicken pizza, almost has a frozen quality in taste. Doughy crust. There just isn't anything special about the food. Just average. Large space, friendly service.

I personally love dions. All around good and consistent food; has the best salad dressings in town. It's a local chain and really popular. Most of the people that work at Dion's are young high school or college age students. I've seen a few retirees as well. Service varies from location to location. The Academy location service is generally good, but this time it took forever to get our food. It was about 2 hours to closing when we walked in and ordered, and I don't know if it was the lack of staff that late or if it was just a bunch of young kids goofing off.

20 minute wait for two pizzas and a salad- not bad at all. I love the food here. I hate the fact that if you purchase a salad it is NEVER good as a leftover. It is soggy within a hour or so. In my opinion Dion's has the best ranch dressing around. It can't be beat.

Don't understand why every dion's is packed with cars like every night. They are average sandwiches/salads/and pizza... i dont think anything is really BAD about dions, just not GREAT... ohh.. except one thing... the RANCH dressing. I secretly have people that go there grab extra for me so i have a stash in my fridge.... I think you can also buy a bottle of it for home... it's SO good... but everything else to me is just alright. The pizza reminds me of PapaJohns, their chips are a less superior version of ruffles.... I guess people like it cuz it's pretty cheap and they are familiar with it. Maybe you have to be born and raised here to have the appreciation for it.... p.s. taking one of my mini tubs of ranch to a restaurant tonight because it will go great with their fries.... nothing wrong with a little "B.Y.O.Ranch"....

Of the past two years that I've been here in Albuquerque, I've never eaten at Dion's. My friends would tell me to go, but I would always pass. I've finally tried it, and I'm okay with it. The cheese pizza slices that I ordered were good to taste, the crust was crispy and the price for the slice was decent as well. Their sweet tea was also good and they offer free refills at the counter. I liked the atmosphere and mentioned to my friends that this place would be great for a date, because the mood lighting was great, and the background music wasn't overpowering where one could not hear another. The staff members were very friendly and looked as if they all get along well with each other. Because one could hear their laughs and their joking around, which I found comforting. I'll be back next time I'm craving a cheese pizza slice, and I'll be sure to try out the mood lighting with a date, next time. =)

First time here!! :) I'm here visiting my cousin and this was a great first stop after landing in Albuquerque (and not just because I was hungry). The food here is fresh and tastes awesome! We shared the turkey and swiss sub, half tossed salad and a slice of pepperoni pizza - wow, it was a lot of food and the prices were just right! You really get your money's worth here especially for the quality. Next time, I'd like to try the Dion's special pizza with mushrooms, green chile, sliced red onions, black olives, pepperoni, roasted red peppers & parmesan.... YUMMM! I might just be back tomorrow!! :) BY THE WAY, they make their own dressings which ARE SUPER DELICIOUS!!! OMG did I already mention the lemonade? They make that too! I'm seriously going to crave Dion's when I go back to San Diego.... BOOOO!!!

Great pizza! Love the peperoni and mushroom with green chile. The sandwiches are awesome too! The Greek dressing over the chips, yum!! Love Dion's! They need to bring the chain out west!

Clean, generic place that serves okay but uninspired food.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types.
