Somewhere between two and 3 stars but since I won't return I have two. Came here to try something new and because they had more side options than whole hog like French fries. We tried the brisket, pulled pork, potatoe salad, cole slaw, Caesar salad, and Mac and cheese. Pulled pork was fine nothing special smoke flavor but meh. The brisket was good just more than 50% fat so it was a waste. Cole slaw wasn't good, potato salad was dill based and just ok, Mac and cheese was more like Kraft than what I would expect at a bbq place- it was like mushy Kraft. And over 30 bucks for two of us- they offer 3 bbq sauces none of which I would recommend. But you do get free ice cream- that's gross as well.

I gave it 2 stars because it was good enough to eat, but I wouldn't return. My husband likes trying new places so we came here instead of our normal bbq place. I ordered the brisket sandwich (Saturday special). Wasn't anything special. It was a little tasty but dry & kind of cold. My sides...hmmmm...I got cesar salad which was basically regular iceberg lettuce woth a small dollop of cesar dressing & croutons. I also got the mashed potato casserole. Gross. Fake, cold, rubbery potatoes. The kids running the joint were nice, but everything had to be refilled (tea, bbq sauce, pickles), so we had to wait to get to eat. Like I said, edible, but definitely not worth the $45 bucks we spent just to have mediocre bbq & sides I'd expect from a hospital cafeteria. Sticking to Rudy's for bbq from now on.

Wasn't impressed. Seemed like everything was prepared days ago. Ordered the three meat plate with two sides, and half rack of ribs. I ordered pulled pork, chicken, and brisket. Chicken was pulled from fridge and was wrapped in plastic and chopped in front of me, as well as the pulled pork and brisket. They were all served cold. Ribs were mediocre they tasted like they had been reheated in a microwave. Didn't taste fresh. Potatoe salad was bland. The Mac and cheese was the only good thing. Their barbecue sauces were good as well. Don't think I'll be returning. I was disappointed.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago; the BBQ was very good and it was a quite enjoyable experience. We had a few 2 meat dishes in order to sample the different meats we liked (ham, sausage, brisket, and pulled pork) and sides (fried, mac and cheese, fried okra, and beans). Pretty much everything was good, with the sausage, brisket and okra standing out. BBQ is a matter of taste, so eventually there will likely be naysayers who like a different style; but being a Texan myself I really enjoyed having a strong Texas franchise in ABQ.

Man, was I stoked to see Dickey's in the 505 again. If you remember the old location down where Chile Rio most recently was, forget everything you remember. This is not the same. It's set up more like Rudy's now, where you order and then get your food and go sit down vs. a waiter taking your order and bringing it to you. They still have basically the same menu, but portions are smaller than I recall and the bread is definitely not the same. The meat was all run of the mill BBQ, nothing to write home about. I was not a fan of the potato salad, it was entirely too dill flavored for me. The baked beans were decent, but could have been better. For the pricepoint, there are other options with better quality and portion size. This new Dickey's is just not the same.

We tried this last weekend. Definitely not my style of Texas BBQ. The brisket took awhile to be delivered and was barely warm when it arrived. Having to wait also made my sides cold as well. I think I need to stick my usual favorite spot here in ABQ. Don't recommend this place. The 2 stars are for their BBQ sauce.

Where to start I guess I'll start with the service. I called in my order and told them I would be there 5-10 minutes, I got there 10 minutes later and they hadn't even started on my order. That being said the employees where very nice and had smiles on the whole time. There was no above and beyond type customer service here but it wasn't bad either, just kinda average. Now the food, I LOVE BBQ by far my favorite type of food so i had big expectations when i walked in. I tried the three meat meal, I chose chicken which they were out of so i asked for ribs, They don't come with the three meat plate. I ended up with turkey, pulled pork, and brisket the sides I chose were fries and BBQ beans. Well I got my order to go when I got home there was no BBQ beans in the bag so cant tell you how those were. The turkey was lacking flavor and was almost cold, so wasn't very appetizing, The pulled pork and brisket were both OK, some pieces were really dry others really moist, so not to sure if it was a new batch mixed with old or what but it was just OK. The spicy BBQ on the other hand was REALLY good, so that was a huge plus! All in all I probably wouldn't want to go back, if I want BBQ it looks like Rudy's is still my first choice. The only time I would probably go back is if it was next door and I was REALLY hungry. Not awful but nothing I care to try again!

I had the Pork Rib Plate For $14.75, With 2 Sides. The Ribs were dry and tasted like they were leftovers from a refrigerator. The sides were ok. The potato casserole was mashed potatoes with shredded cheese on top. My first visit, I was happy. My 2nd visit will be my last visit. I had to change my 5 star review to a 1 star. I will continue to go to Whole Hog for my BBQ fix.

Went to Dickies for their grand opening several months ago and was just not impressed at all. The old dickies restaurant that was here a few years ago was much better and a higher quality. I decided to give them another chance and went in today for lunch. The quality of the food was horrible and way overpriced. I don't mind paying for good quality BBQ but this was quite pathetic. The ribs were rock hard and over cooked and the food was not hot. I also noticed that they pulled the meet out of a piece of plastic which tells me that the meat is processed and not fresh. Really disappointed at the shortcuts that were taken. Where is the pride? I will never be back! I will probably go to the Cube from now on. They do BBQ right!

Very good! The service was good too. I had brisket and it was ultimately tender and delicious. The sides were perfect and fresh - the okra tasted like okra for a change...not heavy oily breading like other places. Husband had some ribs and they did not disappoint! We will come back for sure!

Quick run down of my experience here: Ordered Turkey and Brisket plate with potato salad and bbq beans. Brisket was all out, so I got the polish sausage instead. Turkey: Pretty good flavor and very moist. Definitely would order again Sausage: Honestly, it tasted about like the Polish sausage hot dog from Costco. Not terribly good and lacked seasoning. BBQ Beans: Tasted a little better than canned beans Potato Salad: Couldn't finish it. There was way too much mayo or something in it. The dill flavor might have been good had it not been so over powered. I make a habit of giving places another chance if I had a bad go the first time. Hopefully, they'll have brisket the next time I'm there.
